[dba-issues] [Issue 110179] report builder extension 1.2 fails to install on oo.org 3.2
To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=110179 User ttreker changed the following: What|Old value |New value Status|CLOSED|UNCONFIRMED Resolution|INVALID | --- Additional comments from ttre...@openoffice.org Wed Mar 24 23:06:31 + 2010 --- I have changed my mind and I am going to reopen this issue and contest your disposition of this report as invalid. Your assessment is incorrect. Having slept on it and then having spent a lot of time exploring, I know exactly what happened. So here is my assessment of the problem and its solutions: Problem Statement: Wizards don't respond when clicked from any of the task lists. Work Around Solution: 1) Select either the Table or Query task lists (but *not* the Form or Reporter task lists). 2) Right click a query or table. 3) Select one of either the Report or Form wizard menu items from this menu. 4) When the wizard dialog comes up, cancel it. 5) Goto any task list and click its wizard. It should come up. 6) Save your Base document. The permanent bug fix requires escalating this problem report to the development staff. If the last support rep had done this, I wouldn't have spent the *countless* hours looking for the solution. Long before I posted this bug report I searched for solutions. For me posting bug reports is the last resort. Further, if this had been labeled as a bug the last time it was discovered and sent up the chain, undoubtedly the developers of this code base would have seen what the issue was immediately. They know their code, and the solution to this bug is probably a one line fix. This is hours and hours and hours of wheel spinning for countless developers because you seem to misunderstand the assessment of this problem. Why should I as a Base community member ever put any effort into providing these detailed debugging efforts if you discard the results as user error? Let me be perfectly clear. I am on Sun's side here. I tell everybody that I know to try OOo. I am not trying to win an argument. I am not trying to make anybody look bad. I appreciate your efforts in this matter. For instance your pointing me down the development track at the time was a worthy approach given what we knew at the moment. I am glad it turned out to be unnecessary, but I think you were correct in your evaluation at that moment. I am not pointing a finger at you and your efforts, I am simply trying to help make Base come of age. Anybody that understands rdbms based solutions, and all the available options today, and who has accurately assessed Base, its external db connectivity architecture and its integration with HSQLDB knows three things: 1) The foundational integrity of Base and its integration with OOo is robust, highly professional, and bullet proof. 2) Its current level of usability is extremely weak for all but the most trivial database applications, unless you are an experienced SQL developer. 3) The foundations for a reasonably clean UI are all in place and just need to be developed. (e.g. things like drag-and-drop Next and Previous buttons for the form would be nice. In other words things that an Xcel power user would be comfortable with would in my opinion rocket Base over the top. It is so close to being there, it amazes me). Usability is *exactly* what makes me, for instance, hesitate to steer a small business owner I know who wants to develop a desktop level db app from Base. Resolving these kinds of immense time-wasters is paramount. Most people won't turn in the bug report, and not with the analysis I put into this for you. They will throw their hands up and call Base junk. * Escalate this as a bug *** * Post the above solution as a workaround *** Fix the problem, don't sweep it under the rug!!! - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=110179 --- Additional comments from ttre...@openoffice.org Thu Mar 25 04:01:19 + 2010 --- OK, one last observation. Now that I got my db settled down, I went and updated all the OOo installations on all my systems to 3.2 and tested them. They all work flawlessly so far, Base wizards and all! Significantly, this includes a Kubuntu 9.10 hardware system install running through the exact same procedure I used on the Ubuntu vm with package removal of 3.1 and installation of the .deb packages. The uninstall and reinstall was fast and clean. Further, I don't know why I didn't think to test this but I must confess that I don't think that I ever tested whether an empty db worked on the Ubuntu vm. This is an obvious test, but I am not sure I tried it with all the installs and uninstalls (which go slow on an encrypted vm running off a USB stick). Here is what this tells me in the context of this bug report: my bug was likely the result of one of two things: 1) The upgrade of my document from 2.4 to 3.1, and then to 3.2 (can't remember whether I revert before going to 3.2 or not) 2) The platform switch from PPC to Intel Ubuntu (or some combination of the two) Given the clean functioning of these other installations it is probably a safe bet that my bug could be rather unique and not very ubiquitous, which would also explain why you guys seem so unconcerned. So in retrospect, while I am certain it was a bug, I will give you it may be a rather rare bug that most won't see. Further, while my confidence was getting a little shaky there for a while in Base, it is now fully restored to my pleasant surprise!!! Change this to whatever you want. Bug or not, I will concede it is probably a rare event. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. [dba-issues] [Issue 110179] report builder extension 1.2 fails to install on oo.org 3.2
To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=110179 --- Additional comments from ttre...@openoffice.org Wed Mar 24 05:50:13 + 2010 --- OK, now this is a bit confusing but let me start with this: The wizards started working and I didn't change a thing. Here is what happened: After my last post, I decided to let go of this issue a bit and just look at my database, and Base and think about some of the things I wanted to do with the database. It was late, I was ready for bed (as is the case now :) ), but I decided I would just do a tools sweep. This is something I do as I become more comfortable with software application system. I stop, and look at all the various menu options there are, and facilities available to me for what I am doing. I drill down and explore the tools. I check out things like what buttons become available or tool bars, or context menus and I explore options that were foreign to me. In the long run, I always leave no stone unturned in a software system. I get to know what everything does. So before I went to bed, I just decided to forget about the wizards issue and do some exploring. In my exploring-- again I was tired and it is unclear to me where I came across this, I came across a menu with some wizards to select. I believe now in re-exploring tonight that this was the context menu for an arbitrary form item, but I can't remember for sure. Anyway, it *wasn't* the wizard item that appears under tasks in the main Base window. I clicked it-- I think it was the report wizard-- and it opened up immediately. I was taken aback. I almost couldn't believe it. So I cancelled it, went to the tasks list, and every wizard has come up since on demand from the tasks list. So, there is some sort of bug, and I think I found a work around. I have shut down the db a couple of times and when I bring it back up, the wizards on the task list work straight away. For the record, I never installed the development version, and now that the wizards are working, I won't. But let me be clear about this, I was really tired and my memory isn't perfectly clear on what I actually did to get them working. I pieced this story together tonight in an effort to make a best guess at what I did. But whatever I did, they are now working... Thanks for your help. I greatly appreciate it. You can resolve this however you think is appropriate. Unless the wizards go away again, I am done with this bug report myself. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. [dba-issues] [Issue 110179] report builder extension 1.2 fails to install on oo.org 3.2
To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=110179 --- Additional comments from ttre...@openoffice.org Mon Mar 22 17:55:10 + 2010 --- I attempted to get the jre _18 installed and experimented via the www.java.com page. I won't go into the details but it didn't work. The effort resulted in having to uninstalll all of oo.org 3.2 and reinstall from scratch. (It was extremely time consuming.) Sun Java doesn't appear to have a mechanism available to update Ubuntu to its latest version. It looks like it does for all the paid OSes-- Redhat, Suse, OS X and Windows, but there appears to be no support for Ubuntu, or general Linux. This effort, however, has lead me to what I believe is a clearer understanding of the problem at hand and the nature of this bug. I am going to once again recharacterize the single problem bug of this report as follows: Base 3.2, as installed on Ubuntu 9.10 per the process outlined earlier in this bug report using an installation of the Sun JRE which is at version 1.6.0_15 in the Aptitude (Synaptic) packages, fails to run any of its Wizards (Table, Query, Form, or Reporter). Now you may tell me that this is not a bug, and that I need to somehow get the latest Sun JRE running on Ubuntu, but if this is your position, I could not possibly disagree more. It is wholly *untenable* to have a database program which is so delicately sensitive to changes in the Sun JRE. One of two things is occuring here. Either 1) Sun's JRE product development team is taking absolutely no reasonable backward compatibility into account or 2) Base has been written in a manner that violates JRE standards such that it has become unduly sensitive to changes in the Sun JRE. Either of these situations is completely untenable to anyone attempting to manage a database using this system. You can't wake up one day, update the Sun JRE (a common occurence), and have your database fail. If you are telling me to accept this, you are basically telling me to give up on Base. I don't want to give up on Base. I think it is a really good system. The more I have worked with it, the more I realize how solid it is as a desktop rdbms. But for these kinds of issues this product could sore. It is highly under rated, but I think the devlopment world doesn't understand it. It fills a niche that no other rdbmss fill other than Access and Filemaker Pro, both of which are not Opensource and unavailable on Opensource platforms. My application is dependent on oo.org running on an opensource OS. Nothing is more mainstream opensource than Ubuntu. If Sun doesn't support this platform then they simply don't support oo.org running on any opensource OS. If it is not a paid OS, Base won't run. I know that this is running on, but it is worth giving some history here about my particular dbase app and what lead up to this bug report because this history is entirely relevant to this bug report, and I didn't realize this until this last attempt at getting this to work. Until recently, I ran this app on oo.org on a Mac laptop running OS X 10.4 under oo.org 2.4. The nature of this app is that the information is highly sensitive, but it needs to be highly portable and easily available. My old Mac laptop was easy to carry around, and didn't get used for much. It stayed off the internet most of the time. The database was kept on a USB stick, too for greater isolation. Upgrades to this configuration until recently were few. Until oo.org 3.2, there was no native OS X install of oo.org. While other platforms moved forward on oo.org, I was left behind on the upgrade curve. By the way, for the record the most critical wizard it needs access to is the form wizard because this provides the seemless creation of UI components that support subforms. Subforms are foundationally important in developing meaningful and usable db apps. Trying to build such forms in design mode is unwieldy and untenable. The wizard is essential. This is the primary wizard I need access to right now, but they all need to work. They all have their place. Recently, I was using the db on the Mac laptop when it failed. All the form dropdown listers tied to queries quit populating in my form. I had changed nothing. I was just using the system. Why this happened was a mystery, but I now believe it was the result of a JRE update on the OS X laptop. Given the history of oo.org updates to my PPC platform and OS X 10.4, I decided it was time to migrate the db to a platform poised to move forward and more portable. This app needs to be easily accessable most of the time, but highly portable. It needs to be highly secure. It needs to not be dependent on a particular piece of hardware like a specific laptop. The answer I came up with was as follows: I created a VMware virtual machine that will run in VMware player on any platform. The vm will run Ubuntu installed on an encrypted LVM partition. This vm is

My question is that if I attempt to you Synaptic or Aptitude to install SRB will it install the version that is up to date for oo.org 3.2, and also is there a risk that it will install 3.1 oo.org components. You see I am worried that the Ubuntu repository is unaware of the 3.2 install because of the approach of using dpkg for the install. I don't want to destroy my install, or rollback changes to 3.2. Since your extension version of SRB's web site stated it was explicitly for oo.org 3.2 or higher, I am leary of attempting an install via Aptitude (or Synaptic) until I hear definitely from you that this isn't going to roll my install back, and that I will get the version of SRB that is up to date and compatible with 3.2. (As the extension file claimed to be). If you can tell me definitively that the SRB that Aptitude will install is the correct version for 3.2, I will just install it. BTW, I do see an uninstalled SRB in aptitude when I search for it, but I can't seem to get Aptitude to tell me what version it is. Please also note that as we have been discussing this, it has become clear to me that I really need all the wizards working, not just the Report Builder. In fact, the Form Wizard is probably the most important thing for me to get working now, as it quickly creates forms with subforms, a rather laborious, and error prone task through design alone. I am sorry to bring two issues into this bug report, but in actuality I posted this bug report initially expecting that if I solved the Report Builder issue I would solve all the missing Wizards issues. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=110179 --- Additional comments from ttre...@openoffice.org Fri Mar 19 17:15:04 + 2010 --- Yes. This is exactly my worry; I don't want to mix versions. So now it seems we have kind of come full circle in this bug report. I have been aiming as explicitly as I possibly can to *not* mix versions of oo.org from the time before even submitting this report. I believe that explanations in this bug report demonstrate my attempts to avoid mixing these versions (3.1 with 3.2). This bug report was initially driven by the fact that I downloaded the SRB *extension* (version 1.2.0) from your site because its page *explicitly* says it is for version 3.2 or higher: http://extensions.services.openoffice.org/project/reportdesign But this extension doesn't load in my installed version of 3.2 via the extensions manager. I outlined this failure explicitly from the start of this bug report in great detail (I typed the error dialog text by hand because this bug reporting system-- a rather nice system I might add-- doesn't seem to have an attachments link to upload the png of this error box). I installed this 3.2 version of oo.org via these packages (I found this link originally on my own, but then you sent there again in this bug report and confirmed I have been doing what I am supposed to be doing): http://download.services.openoffice.org/files/stable/3.2.0/OOo_3.2.0_LinuxIntel_install_en-US_deb.tar.gz I installed these deb packages *only after* having removed all vestiges of oo.org 3.1 with the apt-get remove command (and verifying this). I also removed entirely the .openoffice.org folder in my home folder. I have aimed for a from-scratch install of 3.2. I have followed the instructions you have provided me explicitly in this bug report and yet I am left *still* with two problems: *** Problem Restated Again 1) How do I install SRB 1.2.0 for oo.org 3.2 and above on the installed version of oo.org if I can't install it with Aptitude (Synaptic essentially) and it won't install via the extensions manager of oo.org 3.2? Is there a .deb package for it that is missing which would solve this problem? If not, should there be? 2) After following all your instructions in this bug report, none of the wizards in Base still work. This is the case even though I have the Sun JRE installed on my system (installed by aptitude on Ubuntu) which shows JRE 6 in aptitude and shows as version 1.6.0_15 under the ToolsOptionsOpenoffice.orgJava page. Maybe you need to escalate this issue. I have done my best to articulately describe in detail my exact configuration and the explicit problem I am having in this bug report, but I am not certain you are completely following my explanation. Something obvious is missing here and the right person reviewing this bug report will see it right away. Either I have done something really stupid, or I have found a bug. As of yet, nobody in this bug report has told me to do something that I haven't done, and yet nothing has changed. I am more than happy to accept that I am making a mistake, but you guys haven't pointed me to one yet. I have done everything you have told me to do to no avail. Please escalate this if you can. Thanks. Again, to restate, no wizards work in Base in my configuration. This includes the reporting wizard (which from 3.2 and above I assume is always Sun Report Builder) but also includes the Table, Query, and Form Wizards. Thanks for your efforts. They are appreciated. You have a great product and I am doing my best to help it achieve success. I am putting it to work, which is why I have found this issue. I need your help to iron out these last details, and then I think it is going to work reasonably well. So far, other aspects of Base seem to be working reasonably well in 3.2 and I am pleased. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. [dba-issues] [Issue 110179] report builder extension 1.2 fails to install on oo.org 3.2
To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=110179 --- Additional comments from ttre...@openoffice.org Fri Mar 19 20:36:47 + 2010 --- I went to www.java.com and ran the java test this site provides on my Firefox browser. It failed even with the current JRE installed via Synaptic. It pointed me to a more recent version with extremely vague installation instructions-- nothing specific to Debian or Ubuntu, and no .deb packages. I haven't tried this yet. I am busy with other stuff, but I am going to try to see if I can install this today. How come you guys don't know about this? This is all Sun's stuff? Why don't you know what versions are needed for what? Nothing is more mainstream than Ubuntu. I am trying to help you guys get Base functioning and useful here on Ubuntu. I think Base is a well designed DB at its core. The thing that is in the way-- the thing that makes it look bad, are these finish-work details that make it useless to the average user. It looks like a piece of junk. But it actually isn't a piece of junk. It is a well-designed and written piece of software. It is without question a professional db worthy of measure against any other in its class. These ridiculous installation issues make it look like a piece of rinky-dink software, however, and this is a real shame. Who could use Base with these kinds of installation issues? I can't get to the meat of Base itself because I can't get it to install. I have a list of things I want to try in Base and instead all I am doing is fighting its installation. Is Sun giving up on Base? I would like to know now before I invest any more effort into it. I hope not. I have been banking on your commitment to oo.org and am working to make these tools effective and provide meaningful feedback. If one can't get this software running on the most popular opensource Linux OS, what can they get it running on? Your throwing your hands up in the air leaves me with the impression that maybe Base is done for. Is Sun giving up on Base? I sure would like to know this now. I hope not. I want it to thrive. I will try this upgrade of Java approach. If it doesn't work I will probably have to start considering just giving up on Base for good. I'll let you know how it went. Thanks for your help so far. I will get back to you when I have had a chance to test this java upgrade. Since there is no specific Debian approach to this JRE update to _18 I am really leary and skeptical that anything meaningful will come of it except more wheel spinning. I am running out of time... This is a real disappointment. I have put a lot of effort into my Base db over the last year. I am starting to think I just need to cut my losses and look for another approach. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. [dba-issues] [Issue 110179] report builder extension 1.2 fails to install on oo.org 3.2
To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=110179 User ttreker changed the following: What|Old value |New value Status|CLOSED|UNCONFIRMED Resolution|INVALID | --- Additional comments from ttre...@openoffice.org Thu Mar 18 18:57:16 + 2010 --- Thank you for your prompt response. Please read this response carefully as the issues here are detailed and subtle. Please don't react quickly. I have spent a lot of time organizing the info to provide you everything you need to understand this problem and resolve it, but you have to examine this bug report in its detail. I am not certain that this issue is closable yet. I am not ready to just go use Synaptic (or Aptitude which is where I operate at usually-- at the command line). Here is the issue: 1) For OpenOffice.org in general, the Ubuntu package repository provides OpenOffice.org 3.1 2) The version of Base provided by this 3.1 install would not even open my database. 3) Researching this issue, I came across a site steered me towards a manual installation of OO.org 3.2 on Ubuntu to resolve the problem. 4) This manual installation process starts by removing *all* vestiges of 3.1 from the system via Aptitude or apt-get. 5) The next step was to download and install the .deb packages for oo.org 3.2 4) As I described initially in this post this fixed my problem with access to my Base db, but it did so my explicitly *not* using synaptic. Here is a link to the site whose instructions I followed: http://www.unixmen.com/news-today/716-openofficeorg-32-rc2-is-out- 5) This process is the only thing that gained me access to my database. 6) Every bone in my body tells me to be completely leary of *any* installation through Synaptic, as this is just likely to load 3.1 dependencies. 7) The page with the downloadable extension for Report Builder that I used which triggered this bug report, *explicitly* says it is for oo.org 3.2 and *above*. This strongly implies I should want nothing but this version and that any attempt to use Synaptic to install Report Builder will ruin my installation of oo.org 3.2. I know this is a bit confusing, but you guys must have this sorted out. Here is what I suspect is the case: There is a 3.2 Report Builder .deb package somewhere that I can install with dpkg as I did the rest of oo.org 3.2 Note Further Also, at risk of confusing this issue even more, Report Builder is not the only thing that has failed. All items in Base that reference a Wizard do *not* respond when double clicked. Report builder is just one wizard that doesn't work. However, the wizards for creating a table, a query, and a form also are unavailable. NOTE AGAIN PLEASE * You like bug reports to be single issue. Well the single issue of *this* bug report maybe should be changed to this: When using the manual process to uninstall oo.org 3.1 and install 3.2 oo.org via deb packages and dpkg, none of the wizards in Base function properly. For reference here is the list of deb packages that were installed (or at least included) during this upgrade to 3.2 in the above-described process. These packages came from your site. I see no report builder explicitly in this list: OOO320_m12_native_packed-1_en-US.9483/ OOO320_m12_native_packed-1_en-US.9483/DEBS/ OOO320_m12_native_packed-1_en-US.9483/DEBS/ooobasis3.2-ooofonts_3.2.0-12_i386.deb OOO320_m12_native_packed-1_en-US.9483/DEBS/openoffice.org3-calc_3.2.0-12_i386.deb OOO320_m12_native_packed-1_en-US.9483/DEBS/ooobasis3.2-core05_3.2.0-12_i386.deb OOO320_m12_native_packed-1_en-US.9483/DEBS/ooobasis3.2-onlineupdate_3.2.0-12_i386.deb OOO320_m12_native_packed-1_en-US.9483/DEBS/ooobasis3.2-calc_3.2.0-12_i386.deb OOO320_m12_native_packed-1_en-US.9483/DEBS/openoffice.org-ure_1.6.0-12_i386.deb OOO320_m12_native_packed-1_en-US.9483/DEBS/ooobasis3.2-core03_3.2.0-12_i386.deb OOO320_m12_native_packed-1_en-US.9483/DEBS/ooobasis3.2-en-us-res_3.2.0-12_i386.deb OOO320_m12_native_packed-1_en-US.9483/DEBS/openoffice.org3-writer_3.2.0-12_i386.deb OOO320_m12_native_packed-1_en-US.9483/DEBS/ooobasis3.2-en-us_3.2.0-12_i386.deb OOO320_m12_native_packed-1_en-US.9483/DEBS/ooobasis3.2-en-us-math_3.2.0-12_i386.deb OOO320_m12_native_packed-1_en-US.9483/DEBS/ooobasis3.2-oooimprovement_3.2.0-12_i386.deb OOO320_m12_native_packed-1_en-US.9483/DEBS/ooobasis3.2-en-us-help_3.2.0-12_i386.deb OOO320_m12_native_packed-1_en-US.9483/DEBS/ooobasis3.2-gnome-integration_3.2.0-12_i386.deb OOO320_m12_native_packed-1_en-US.9483/DEBS/openoffice.org3-dict-es_3.2.0-12_i386.deb

I would like to change the single issue of this bug to something more clearly articulated than the original post: Bug: A fresh install of oo.org 3.2 on Ubuntu 9.10 (32bit) fails to provide any functioning wizards in the Base application. The wizard item appears as a selection, but nothing happens when you double click (Non-functioning Base wizards: Table, Query, Form, and Report). This happens after installing per the procedure you just outlined. In particular, here is the procedure: 1) Removed, via aptitude, all openoffice.org installed packages. 2) Removed the .openoffice.org directory in home path (to eliminate any previous user profile [I had done this before, by the way, even though I hadn't mentioned it to you in this bug report, so this was not likely the issue] ). 3) Installed the Sun Java JRE (JRE 6) via aptitude 4) Installed the Debian packages via the last instructions provided in this bug thread by Sun. (i.e. download the deb package archive from your site for 32 bit Debian Linux, unzip/tar it, use sudo dpkg -i *.deb on resulting folder, change to desktop integration folder and again use sudo dpkg -i *.deb. 5) Run Base from resulting menus, and fill out original oo.org user info as prompted on a fresh install when the user profile is non-existent. 6) Select my existing database (unregistered originally in this new install, which I think confirms a fresh user profile) and open my database. 7) Again, none of the wizards work as already described. I am not certain what to try next. I have double checked that the JRE is installed. Should I uninstall it and reinstall it? I am just leary of all this uninstall reinstall stuff. I spend a lot of time spinning my wheels, and nothing changes. Something is missing!!! - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. Preceding is detailed configuration and context description. Configuration in detail: Openoffice.org version: 3.2 OOO320m12(build:9483) Ubuntu 9.10 32 bit. PC Clone (64 bit Asus-board-based clone system) PC clone running Kubuntu 9.10 3.2 patched to date (no 64 bit OS running anywhere even though the motherboard is 64 bit) Kubuntu running VMware Player (up to date version 3.0.1 build-227600) Ubuntu running in VMware Player (got that? :) ) In other words I am running Base 3.2 on Ubuntu 9.10 in a VMware virtual machine guest on a Kubuntu 9.10 VMware Player Host (on which I am *not* running oo.org at this time although 3.1 is installed on this host.) Problem Context: Installed OO.org 3.2 on Ubuntu via special instructions where all previous traces of the standard 3.1 OO.org where removed prior to using dpkg -i to install downloaded .deb packages for 3.2. This was necessary as no Ubuntu package store has access to OO.org 3.2. All has been working reasonably-- in particular this was the only way for me to get my OO.org 2.4 base db to work. 3.1 failed, but this 3.2 accessed it just fine. All was well except the query wizard and report wizard weren't functioning. Determined the likely cause of reporting wizard failure was that I should simply be using the Report Builder extension and so I attempted to install it. Noticed the page for this extension on your site required OO.org 3.2 or better so was expecting I was on the right track in my attempt to install this. The problem: Downloaded the extension, and attempted to install it with the following error message dialog: Dialog Title: Extension Manager Dialog Text: (com.sun.star.uno.RuntimeException) { { Message = javaloader error - mapping of java XimplementationLoader to c++ failed, Context = (com.sun.star.uno.Xinterface) @0 } } - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
