Anthony, Here is a copy and paste from the manual. · The name of the satellite ·The receive- and transmit frequencies in kHz ·The Up- and Downlink modes ·The frequency trend of the satellite (normal or reverse) ·The converter and transverter offset frequencies file:///C:/Program%20Files%20(x86)/SatPC32/Manual.htm#KenwoodParSQF file:///C:/Program%20Files%20(x86)/SatPC32/Manual.htm#KenwoodParSQF As a general rule, all 7 parameters have to be present, even if some of them are irrelevant for a particular satellite. In that case the unused data may have any value. So for mine, I have these two lines. Kelly, Take a look in the Setup menu under Configurations. You can set up 4 different radio setups which allows you to set up which ever radio you want as your TX and RX radio. Then you add only the satellites that you want to use for that particular configuration. I have mine setup so I am always using my IC-7000 for TX and my FT817or FT857 for RX. I use one configuration for FO-29, AO-27, SO-50 and a second configuration for AO-7 and VO-52. You have to restart SatPC each time to go to another configuration. Good luck. 73, Adrian AA5UK From: Kelley kshaddr...@jetup.net To: amsat-bb@amsat.org Sent: Sunday, July 22, 2012 9:28 AM Subject: [amsat-bb] SatPC32 Question Satellite newby here, trying to setup a station... [amsat-bb] Re: SatPC32 Question
Hello Kelley, to steer both radios you only need a single COM port and a single CAT interface or CAT cable with - for example - an y-adapter. In menu Radio Setup , Radio 1 section, choose Icom for brand and the IC-706MKIIG for model. Set the CAT baudrate to 19200, do the same at the radios. In the menu set the first of the 2 Icom addresses for the IC-706MKIIG ($58 by default) and the 2nd one for the IC-746 ($56 by default). Click Addresses OK. Choose a proper COM port and set the CAT delay to 50 (try the lowest working value lateron). Leave all other options in menu Radio Setup unchecked. Set the Radio 2 section to None. Save the settings and restart the program. Click the C control to C+. With v/u sats (FO-29, SO-50) the program should now steer the IC-706 as RX and the IC-746 as TX. With SSB sats you can tune th IC-706 around the passband and the IC-746 will follow. To steer the radios with u/v sats (VO-52, AO-07) set the second address pair in menu Radio Setup to the vice versa addresses (first value for the IC-746, second value for the IC-706). Save the changes and restart the program. The program will start with the settings for v/u sats. To run with u/v sats open menu Mode and select the 2nd address line. The IC-746 will now run as the RX on VHF and the IC-706 as TX on UHF. You can tune the IC-746 in the passband with its VFO and the IC-706 will follow. 73s, Erich, DK1TB - Original Message - From: Kelley kshaddr...@jetup.net To: amsat-bb@amsat.org Sent: Sunday, July 22, 2012 4:28 PM Subject: [amsat-bb] SatPC32 Question Satellite newby here, trying to setup a station... [amsat-bb] Re: Satpc32 question
Hi Tony, I think I have a possible solution. I am able to reproduce your situation by doing the opposite of my suggestion below. See if this fixes it. If not, maybe someone else can pin it down for you. Go to 'Satellites' in the menu bar and check the list of satellites in the 'selected [standard]' window. Do your FM birds have a star ( * ) to their left? If not, click on the satellite so it highlights in blue and chose the button show on/off. This will put a star next to the satellite name. Choose OK and see if that resolved it. You might need to restart SatPC32 before the changes occur (but I don't think so). I hope this helps. The FM birds don't show up at all until they are clicked on in the A, B, C, etc. list at the bottom of the screen. When they are clicked, the inside of the footprint is shown and illuminated, but without the outline around the footprint. And only 1 of those birds can be shown at any time. The linear birds continue to be shown properly. Any ideas would be appreciated. Tnx and 73, Tony, N2UN LM 183 ___ Sent via AMSAT-BB@amsat.org. Opinions expressed are those of the author. [amsat-bb] Re: SatPC32 question.. IC910H
Ted, Are you using SATPC32ISS? The rig is not capable of operating full duplex on the same band, so if you want to work the ISS on those frequencies, you need to use the special version. The SATPC32ISS does tune both the uplink and downlink, but not as full duplex. More like a standard repeater. 73s, Alan WA4SCA -Original Message- From: amsat-bb-boun...@amsat.org [mailto:amsat-bb-boun...@amsat.org] On Behalf Of Ted Sent: Wednesday, April 18, 2012 2:51 PM To: amsat-bb@amsat.org Subject: [amsat-bb] SatPC32 question.. Most rigs will not let you used same band on two vfos. Erich has developed another version of SATPC32 called SATPC32ISS which accommodates this issue. Hi Tony, You can manually move them. Bring up two directory windows one with the floppy drive and one with the SatPC32 kep directory (generally C:\Program Files\SatPC32\Kepler). I would recommend that you rename the kep file on the floppy drive as amateur.txt or nasa.all, so that it will make it easier for SatPC32 to use the new file without your having to select a new filename each update. Then just select the filename after selecting Satellites . Whatever name you select will be used each time you startup SatPC32, until you change it, 73, Gould - Original Message - From: ANTHONY JAPHA tjja...@earthlink.net To: amsat-bb amsat-bb@amsat.org Sent: Thursday, June 04, 2009 8:14 PM Subject: [amsat-bb] SatPC32 question Hi everyone, There must be an easy way to load Keps from a file on a 3 1/2 floppy, but what is it? What operating system are you using? With XP, I have never run into a flash drive that required a driver. They just worked. However, with Win98SE, I had to download a driver from Sandisk before my Cruzer drive would work. Their site specifically states that no driver is required for Windows ME, 2000, or XP, as well as Mac OS 9.1 or 10.1.2+ The other possibility is that you may need to download a driver from Dell for the port itself...
