Hi guys,

My message will not be about leaking of Sivaji Rahman is too
meticulous and professional about his works and with whom he works.

I want to point out something which maybe of little value to the
group. I recently heard "Har Manzar" from Baabul and it strikes me how
the music director was "inspired" from the song "O thendrale" from
movie Kaadhal Desam.  

Keep listening to our Boss, Rahman rules !!!

  Hey most of her diction are not correct. Yes i noticed. She sings as 
Saaniyidu instead of Saanaiyidu. Assistants there shld correct her properly 
before final take. This really sounds sad. And for those who donno tamil & 
simply reading about tamil killing posts, SaaNAIyidu is the right pronounce 
meaning 'sharpening the Sword'. But she sings as SaaNIyidu meaning 'paste the 
cow dung' ! To rahman ! why u left this as it is ?

1. Vaaji Vaaji - Hariharan, Madhushree

Music is completely awesome, true to Rahman's style. Only thing that 
irritates me is Madhushree's pronounciation. Horrible!!! But 
Hariharan is his usual self, and Madhushree also sings well 
(pronounciation only problem). After repeated listenings, this song 
will be a hit!

2. Sahara - Udit Narayanan

The best song! Superb! The melody is just so amazing to listen to. 
Another "Katril Oor Varthai"

3. Oru Koodal Sunlight

Cant bear this song. But just the first listen. So I expect this song 
to grow on us!

So far, a mixed bag on the three tracks. But I am waiting for the 
intro song. That single song will set the tone for a smashing success!

I'm loving the 3 Sivaji tracks right now.  I preordered from 
Ayngaran a few days back.  They tell me they'll be shipping April 
3.  There is no excuse for any AR Rahman 'fan' not to get the CD as 
they ship worldwide!!!  The Sunlight track is not really rap 
inspired.  The style of single reminds me of Bob Marley.  Minimal 
arrangements and a staccato style of singing for the verses yields a 
disjointed track, but I'm really enjoying it right now.  Rahman 
always has to take his music to another level as his competition is 
using technology as well.

For Me Brother'* is a song that is dedicated to inspire people to eradicate
poverty from our world. As per the credits, the song is special since it
aims at giving hope to all people suffering from oppression, injustice and
cruelty due to foreign forces or their own cruel leaders. And to those that
are deprived of love and compassion and to fill the void which exists in
each and everyone of us. And last but not the least to those that are
searching for a reason to be kind.

With *Blaaze* coming up with additional lyrics, 'Pray For Me Brother' has *
Rahman* coming with an all around show by writing, composing and rendering
the track. Starting with the sound of a guitar, 'Pray For Me Brother' is a
true Western track that is indeed one of its kinds and perhaps the first
ever of this genre to be getting such a wide release.

While the music is simply excellent with just the right orchestra in place
that doesn't disturb the flow of the song and let's it's essence being
intact, the lyrics simply touch your heart while the rendition is top class
that makes one long for a full blown English album by Rahman soon.

Also commendable is the fact that in spite of a message driving the entire
number, 'Pray For Me Brother' doesn't turn preachy at all and would be
picked up by people across all age groups who would love to play it on in a
repeat mode due to it's soothing nature - something that holds so very true
when the *'Instrumental version'* of the song comes next.

The chorus sound of 'Pray For Me Brother' continues to play around in the
background for this version which only adds on to the appeal. With *Carrie
Hernly, Oboe-Leigh* and *Wootard* on Saxophone and *Seetha Shivaswamy *on
Flute, the instrumental version too is hard to put down.

With the message of coming together of humankind and showing compassion,
respect and love for each other, the song comes with a definite message and
is an eye opener of sorts. A flawless composition that keeps you engrossed
throughout it's 5 minutes duration, it is a must hear for those who love to

Vaaji in sanskrit means Horse. Vaa in tamil means Come or welcoming. Ofcourse 
'ji' here refers to hindi 'ji' calling with respect. Vaa-ji... this is

1. Vaaji Vaaji - Hariharan, Madhushree

Music is completely awesome, true to Rahman's style. Only thing that 
irritates me is Madhushree's pronounciation. Horrible!!! But 
Hariharan is his usual self, and Madhushree also sings well 
(pronounciation only problem). After repeated listenings, this song 
will be a hit!

2. Sahara - Udit Narayanan

The best song! Superb! The melody is just so amazing to listen to. 
Another "Katril Oor Varthai"

3. Oru Koodal Sunlight

Cant bear this song. But just the first listen. So I expect this song 
to grow on us!

So far, a mixed bag on the three tracks. But I am waiting for the 
intro song. That single song will set the tone for a smashing success!

[arr] Sivaji - easily the best recording in recent times

Guys

I was unable to resist for a long without listening to those 
'sneak leak'. One great thing is ARR's classic sound recording in 
recent times (without those jarring background - I still feel Ammi 
Midhichachu would have been more popular but for some excessive sound 
in the background). In Sivaji ARR proves his great sound quality.

The songs are going to rock and I expect such spanish and mexican mixes 
are down the line from all other MDs henceforth.

Director Shankar struck with Panic

A spanking Hot News in Kollywood kicked off fresh conflict between 
big shots. We already aware that most awaited film Sivaji Audio 
Release is going to take place on 4th of April. But before the 
official release, some underground Websites with some sort of 
influence they released three songs from the film Sivaji on the net.

After hearing the news Shankar-AVM-A.R Rehman struck with a panic. 
And they can't able believe the truth, at the same for this happening 
both Shankar & AVM pointing out Finger at A.R Rehman, who tuned music 
for the film Sivaji. Besides, Shankar approached City Crime branch to 
find out the culprit, but already the Music was in the air, this is a 
great set back to Sivaji team who worked hard to bring the film with 
flying colors now wondering with lot of mystification.

And we had not aware of Rajnikanth's reaction to this incident which 
will hamper Sivaji's release. But, the fresh Conflict between 
Director Shankar and A.R Rehman has to be carefully handle, otherwise 
it will lead to another way and film release will be at stake. 
Reliable sources close to Kodambakkam says that full original audio 
tracks has been dispatched to Ayngaran International for overseas 
distribution and marketing all over the world. So their can be many 
chances of leakage from them.

Anyway we stand for No Piracy Slogan.

Rahman with Piano n Rashid Ali with Guitar..!!

I got many advises from Sivakumar Sir 2 set the Mics. accordin' to Rahman Sir's 
taste.. Those were the most valuable advises about the Miking Techniques I got. 
Another thing is,by the Almighty's Grace I was only one to get Rahman Sir's 
Autograph after the Program..! Just before Sir was 'attacked' by the Media 
Persons n Cameras, I got the [Most Precious] Autograph from Him.. He left the 
stage in a hurry after the press meet n lot of the Fans were dissappointed.. 
That was so sad.. my friends..

Then, I met Blaaze n thanked him 4 the Lyrics of Our Song 'PRAY FOR ME 
BROTHER'. He is a simple man.. I also met Naresh n Rashid Ali.. Really.. Naresh 
is the simplest celebrity I've ever met.. I said thanks 4 all of his songs.. 
But he just thanked Rahman Sir 4 everything.."

Inspections are on how it has leaked… But we are sure that it has come
out from the sets. All the songs are scratches… The final mixing is
nowhere near to these.

Esplly on the Sunlight song sung by Shaggy, Blaaze and Tanvi; what is
available on net is just a scratch piece for shooting. And Sahana song
is sung A.R himself on the final version with Chinmayi. We have one
more brilliant number called "Day light dude" which is the opening
song sung by Rappers from US.
We have a Song recorded with the voice of Rajinikanth Sir and Drums
kit played by Siva Sir which is interesting, in the movie. Please
don't post our opinions and underestimate the soundtrack now it now.
Its does enhance the visuals on screen quite brilliantly and wait for
the moment to catch it on 70 mm.

Only latest version [v1.20b] can play DTS 5.1, so make sure thats the one.
   
  Can u tell me which player u r using? I'd suggest that don't use Windows 
Media Player. Any other DirectShow player will do. i.e. MPC, ZoomPlayer, 
KMPlayer etc... I've tested Media Player Classic & KMPlayer & both played Boyz 
5.1 smoothly.

good thinking ashwin, after reading ur mail, I have a feeling of that too. 
coz its unbelieveable that someone has leaked the songs on net... Shankar 
is a smart director I can see not much effort has been put on these 
songs so maybe if our prediction is true its a promotion tracks.. 
Just wait for 4th April we'll see who is the fools hehehe

Vaa Sivaji", a peppy number by Hariharan-Sadana
Sargam combination and "Sahana Saaral",
a trade mark Rahman melody, sung by Udit Narayanan,
are the three songs for which the full length
mp3 tracks have been released.

March 22nd 2007, will be a Black Thursday for
Shankar and his crew, who have been working day
in and day out to get the movie ready for the
big World wide release on April 14th. They will
be mighty shocked with this news of songs leaking
out online, or on the contrary, were they already
prepared for this.
Mp3leakage is not something new to Shankar
and Rahman.Their earlier venture, Boys had
met with the same fatewith songs hitting the
Information Highway two daysbefore the
official launch. Even in the case of Sivaji,   
a 40 sec clip of "Oru Koodai Sunlight" was
doing the rounds online much before this release of
the full length version.
Rahman who has been raising his voice in support
of royalty for musicians might be taken a back
by this development. No one is sure about the
source of this leakage as yet. The processing
lab, someone in the maestro's team or a
production crew member, anyone can be responsible
for this bad doing. It would also be interesting
to see if the production house, AVM files an official
complaint with the Cyber Crime Police.

In the meantime, expectations among Rajini and
Rahman fans is at an all time high for the audio
to hit the stands on April 4th. Reports from Music
world, a music outlet in Chennai, suggest that
there is a growing enquiry on the release of the
audio and there are also requests for advance
reservation on the CDs. The audio is getting released
under the AVM banner.[Sivaji]
Piracyor no piracy, come April 4th, the
music showrooms wouldbe flooded by fans to
get their hands on Sivaji audio.

  The recently released 3 songs on the net which believe to be the soundtrack 
of the Mega Project Shivaji is obviously not true. As usual, Director Shankar 
is creating some hype among the fans of Rajinikanth and AR Rahman. I strongly 
believe that these songs are composed specially to promote and to creat hype 
among fans... If u notice, the touch of Rahman on all these three songs are 
very less. It sounds more to a different music director. Obviously Rahman is 
the one who composed these songs (no doubts) but to create a huge hype b4 its 
release...Someone said that this is not the final production, its just a movie 
draft and Rahman will add more stuffs into it... But I think you can't add 
anymore stuffs to these songs except Sunlight songand if it is a shooting 
draft, why not they release it on net months back??? why now and nearing the 
original release date??? If u hear at the music it is not that fantastic... It 
didn't sound at all as a Rahman song especially the Vaji
 Vaji song. Just imagine will this song suit Superstar Frankly speaking 
I would say that Chandramukhi's music were many times better. I strongly 
believe that these songs are composed to make the piracy guys fool... Lets say 
by 2 or 3 days time there will definetly be nearly 500,000.00 copies of pirated 
CDs believe to be Sivaji soundtracks (which is this 3 Tracks) around the 
world. Then comes April 4th with all different songs. so there will be a 
very big loss for these guyshaha Shankar is showing his smartness.Come 
on guys hear it carefully  its is definetely not Sivaji songs He has just

 According to 1 report, it seems Shanker has plans to have few songs
(maybe appearing in the audio) and scenes that will not be a part of
the movie. They will be used for promotion of the audio-movie and give
a different idea about the final output. Their intensions are to
suprise the fans when the hear the actual audio and watch the actual
movie. If my calculations are correct then I feel that these 3 tracks
have been deliberately released by AVM & Co to make the fans April(4)
fools. If my calculations are wrong then it AVM & Co who are going to
be April fools.

full version of three songs from Sivaji much before its official launch.
The audio of this most awaited movie was all set to be released on 4
April.
Reports indicate that songs were illegally released by an UK based
website in the early hours of Thursday. However Media Studios are quick
to clarify on the songs available on the net.

A hand out issued by them in a blog read, 'inspections are on how it has
leaked. But we are sure that it has come out from the sets. All the
songs are scratches. The final mixing is nowhere near to these.
Especially on the Sunlight song sung by Shaggy, Blaaze and Tanvi; what
is available on net is just a scratch piece for shooting. And Sahana
song is sung A R himself on the final version with Chinmayi.

We have one more brilliant number called Day light dude, which is the
opening song sung by Rappers from US. We have a song recorded with the
voice of Rajinikanth and Drums kit played by Siva which is interesting,
in the movie.'

T-Series has acquired the audio rights of Subhash Ghai's untitled film
starring Salman Khan and Anil Kapoor in the lead. Other artistes and
technicians will be finalised shortly. The music will be composed by AR
Rahman, and the film will be directed and produced by Subhash Ghai under his
banner Mukta Arts.

UTV to co-produce film with Shyamalan
UTV Motion Pictures will be co-producing M Night Shyamalan's next sci-fi
thriller titled The Happening along with 20th Century Fox. Shyamalan will
hold the full IPR (intellectual property rights) of the movie and will also
have a 25 per cent share in all revenues earned by the movie at any given
point in time. The Happening will go on floors in August this year and is
scheduled to release in mid-2008. Closer to the release date, the two
studios will be spending close to $ 60 million in P&A (prints & advertising)
activities to promote the film in the US alone, informs UTV CEO Ronnie
Screwvala.

Shah acquires Ram Gopal Varma Ke Sholay
Bharat Shah has acquired the all India theatrical rights of RGV's Ram Gopal
Varma Ke Sholay, it is learnt. The film is nearing completion and will be
released by the end of the year. Shah, say sources, plans to ride the wave
of hype created by the film, and then work out a profitable deal by selling
the film to various distributors in parts. Ram Gopal Varma Ke Sholay is
financed by Adlabs and produced and directed by Ram Gopal Varma. The film
stars Amitabh Bachchan as Gabbar Singh, Mohanlal as Inspector Ranveer,
Sushmita Sen as Devi, Nisha Kothari as Ghungroo, Gaurav Kapoor as Ahmed,

I have noticed in the inlay cards of ARRS albums

Additional Rhythm programming: Ranjit Barot, Pravin Mani.etc.

Actually A R Rahman don't work with the rhythms of the songs?
There is also a issue that the remix of the Maramkothiye song from
A-ah was done by Rafee.
and also the remix of Elamai in Godfather by Suresh Peters.

Anyone has any details regarding this.

vocals seem to be playing backwards (like in Ale Ale in Boys).. The 
song has some parts reminding me of Mazhai Thuli from Sangamam, and 
parts of Rang De Basanti title song (in the verses).. By the way, I 
am just basing these on the youtube audios..

i think that all the three songs are from sivaji. all the songs definitely
have ARRs trademark. 100%. though its pathetic to note that songs have been
leaked 3 weeks the release, songs cant be overlooked. these 3 songs are
excellent and great. they truly stand by ARRs standard. cant wait to GRAB
the CD and hear the surprise

Do you think ARR has time some for this? ie. creating 3 whole songs that are
not going to be part of the movie? Moreover I don't think shankar will waste
that fantastic guitar piece + ARR's 'Dheem dharathana...' (2:27). It's just
amazing.

I'd be happy if something like that happens. :) so that we can get some more
fresh songs. ;)

But I remember once shankar / rajini saying, we chose 5 out of 20+ tunes
given by ARR. Plz remember its not the whole song.

Also heard that 'Kankalal Kaithu Sei' songs were supposed to be included in
one of the shankar movies. Donno how far it's true!

lyrics of these songs are also very very simple Of course you may say
that Rahman himself has sung a bit in the Sahara song yup its to make
people believeSo guys come on, they r all legends, they know what r they
doing.. Trust me, remember my words, we'll see it on April 4th...THESE
THREE SONGS ARE NOT SHIVAJI SONGS!!!.

Oh please do not create unnecessary hype about the tracks. They are pretty
ordinary and not even remotely close to ARR's best.

I'm loving the 3 Sivaji tracks right now. I preordered from 
Ayngaran a few days back. They tell me they'll be shipping April 
3. There is no excuse for any AR Rahman 'fan' not to get the CD as 
they ship worldwide!!! The Sunlight track is not really rap 
inspired. The style of single reminds me of Bob Marley. Minimal 
arrangements and a staccato style of singing for the verses yields a 
disjointed track, but I'm really enjoying it right now. Rahman 
always has to take his music to another level as his competition is 
using technology as well.

Be it true or not, I guess ARR lost his touch. These 3 songs are the worst

Do you think ARR has time some for this? ie. creating 3 whole songs that are
not going to be part of the movie? Moreover I don't think shankar will waste
that fantastic guitar piece + ARR's 'Dheem dharathana...' (2:27). It's just
amazing. 

 

I'd be happy if something like that happens. :) so that we can get some more
fresh songs. ;) 

 

But I remember once shankar / rajini saying, we chose 5 out of 20+ tunes
given by ARR. Plz remember its not the whole song. 

 

Also heard that 'Kankalal Kaithu Sei' songs were supposed to be included in
one of the shankar movies. Donno how far it's true!
