Give me a break and yourself too. Nothing compares to ARR. He is the best in 
business. If he has given some ordinary albums in his career its coz of the 
directors. How can a man give extraordinary music in lagaan and also give an 
average album. Think logic pals.
There is got to be something out of this world to beat ARR.

[Vithur]

*Naresh Iyer* is a playback singer in the Tamil and Hindi film industry. He
started his career with a super hit song called *Mayilirage* from the movie
Anbe Aaruyire, composed by Music Maestro A. R. Rahman. After that, he's been
singing for almost all the music directors in the Tamil movie industry
including Srikanth Deva, Sabesh-Murali, D. Imman, Harris Jayaraj and Deva to
name a few. Recently, he has collaborated with Chennai's most happening
fusion band OXYGEN and has sung in their new album "AURA".

Naresh Iyer's *Munbe Vaa* (from the movie Sillunu Oru Kaadhal), a duet with
Shreya Goshal, and composed by A. R. Rahman topped the music charts for many
weeks in the year 2006 and successfully claimed the title "Song Of The Year
2006″ in the Tamil industry. Not to forget his another chartbuster
song, *Innisai
Alapedaiye* from the movie Varalaaru, which contributed to the movie's
success, was an excellent Carnatic based song composed by A. R. Rahman. His
songs Paatshala & Roobaroo from the movie Rang De Basanti, yet again
composed by A. R. Rahman was chosen as the "Song of the Year 2006″ in
various TV channels of North India. Recently he sang the song *Kathal Konjam
*, under music director Harris Jayaraj for the film Pachaikili Muthucharam,
and it is in the way to be yet another chart buster.

Born and brought up in Matunga, Mumbai, Naresh was spotted in the reality
talent show Channel V's "Super Singer"' on Television by the famous composer
A R Rahman. Though he did not win the show Super Singer, Naresh was later
contacted by A. R. Rahman and has been his protege since then with the 3
whopping numbers in Rang De Basanti, his very first Hindi movie.

He is also the vocalist of a Fusion band called Dhvani based in Mumbai.
Naresh and his band has performed for many prestigious events and charity
concerts.

He won the Filmfare RD Burman Award in February 2007. He also won the
National Award in August 2007 for Best Male Singer.. for the chartbuster -
Roobaroo from the movie Rang De Basanti..

Hi all Rehmaniacs,

I am a die hard Rehman fan and member of this group for quite a long time and 
occasionally i write my comments. But i check the emails everyday. But in 
recent times i have seen a trend coming up in this group that some members 
question the ability of ARR. 

Look guys i don't have to tell you what ARR is but its really annoying that 
someone will have a "keeda" ( sorry, i couldn't find a better word.) and he 
says Yuvan is better than ARR, HJ is better than ARR.. HR better..ARR Losing 
touch..This album not good.. that album was better.. and all that crap..and 
sorry to say our members fans that small spark to make it a full fledged 
discussion of sort..

I also like other MD's work and appreciate it when a song is good but never 
thought that this will de-thorn ARR. Even ARR like other MD's work (recent ex.. 
he likes Maula Mere Maula from Anwar by Mithoon)

If somebody think that ARR has lost his touch and he is not delivering.., then 
my humble request is plz take your belongings(likings on other MD's..) and join 
their respective community..

I love it when the members discuss which is the best classical song by ARR, 
what we felt when we first heard this song and that album.. Com on guys we 
should discuss all this .. The man.. His albums..His Songs.. His magic..

If i hurt somebody's sentiments.. then sorry.. but i could stop writing my 
feelings..

Rahman Proved that he s un comparable after he completes ROJA His first 
project. After tat many forgot abt ilayaraja's contribution. ARR made such a 
revolution in Indain Cine Industry.  he s the star he s still proving 
Yuvan s good. tats not a prob, but he cant be compared to ARR.

Yuvan overtaking Rahman? Impossible. He hit a peak period in 2002-
2005 but now he is slowly giving non-stop music which is spoiling his 
freshness. Yes, he is a good composer, but not the best. Right now, 
the Tamil industry is 'RAHMAN'. The music directors either 
give 'Rahman' inspired tunes or give the regular masala stuff to suit 
the heroes.

Lets see if a music director comes who can create an impression with 
his own style.

the few sloted to release for diwali this year...Vijay movie is alwiz a hit, so 
dnt worry much bout the music, background score or nythg...just watch it, laugh 
cry n go home...

the end product of song coming up in a cd...like videos of it..or any
of that sorts would be really interesting to watch...can this be done?

raaga.com, how come it hasnt hit the top 10 and all the songs have only four 
stars And Polladhavan song has five. come on guys lets do something abt it 
ya??

Not sure bout kadam but dilli dilli for sure..i was there at the recording 
at audeus where i also heard the original the producers had got frm the govt 
archives.same tune bt the original was faster also they pronounced 
dilli dilli as daehli daehli.ofcourse interludes are a r rs.and it was 
a treat to watch him record and play the interludes..

Yuvan's music is getting better and better compared to his earlier releases. 
Most of his compositions nowadays are hits. But that doesn't mean Yuvan can 
overtake Rahman and stuffs. Who said ATM's music was not up to expectations? 
Vijay must be lucky for giving his dance steps to Rahman's songs. The songs are 
marvelous. The person who started this doesn't has a good sense for observing 
music. Yuvan's music gets hit faster is because his instrument used, singing 
style and the energy of the songs are basically same as his previous and as 
others too. Only a little catchy. But Rahman makes a lots of experiments. Have 
you ever heard a song like Marylin Manroe in Tamil before?. Im tired of 
writting. I hope you understand and stop saying that someone will overtake 
Rahmna and stuffs.

now i want to say .. no one can take our god place for granted .. our

Why not arr's studio details be included in the official site? with 
some pics. I have seen studio details in other leading English artists official 
sites.
Its not that I am asking to copy cat other artists website format; but still 
adding that will be worth as it looks 2 me like a standard, bcos arr's studio 
is @ par with the one @ west.. Just a suggestion from me.

Haha... Rahman anna's music is not a slow poison... it actually have the
great ability to grow up itself in yourself I'm 100% sure NO OTHER
music director's songs are capable to do this its the magic of his
tunes  could you name at least 1 song of Yuvan have this kinda
ability...

yuvan makes a good 1st impression which fades away in a very very short
while but Rahman anna's songs are not like that... they are IMMORTAL in
the heart of music lover... as well as the people who can differentiate
between a good & average music (sorry, you r not included in the list)

AFAIK Its not by Tagore but Master Krishna Rao Ramachandra Phulumbrikar.

Tagore's tune was in different raaga. When Pandit Nehru expressed his view
that Vande Mataram did not lend itself to orchestral music, a
patriot-musician of Pune, Master Krishna Rao Ramachandra Phulumbrikar
disproved it by setting it to instrumental music.

Old Vande Mataram tune can't be performed on marching beats. Revival tune
can be performed on marching beats.

This is biggest joke i have ever heard.
To prove let me list the last 6 albums of yuvan
Satham podathey,thottal poo malarum, kannamuchi yeneda,
tamil ma,vel, machakaran.
All flops with not a single hummable song.
Occasional resonable music in a few movies and 30-40% consistency
is Yuvan.I am not saying it. Stats say so.
And for rahman if 1 out of 6 songs is ok type 
guys say he is not good. Not like before..bla bla bla..
Please have some heart while doing comparisons.
Imagine what u guys wud have done had rahman given albums like
the above six yuvan albums listed. 
Lengends cannot be compared. Please chk some stats before doing 
such comparisons.

Actually, We die hard rahman fans and music buffs wud love
to listen to someone who can give quality music like Rahman.
But unfortunately there is nobody who comes somewhere
close to him.

I can understand if these songs might get deleted from the movie itself but why 
would they delete it from the soundtrack?? I still can't understand that why on 
earth someone will chop off the songs from the soundtrack b'coz of the length 
issue. AFAIK, a soundtrack could be of any length... may it be 30 minutes or 
may it be over an hour...
