Dear Venkat & other friends,
I dont see a problem in having a message about HJ's lift of
OUR BOSS's tunes. As its our Boss's tune that is getting lifted
I guess we should be aware of it. However, lenghty discussion of the
same is not neccessary. So, Mr.Siraj thx for the info.
Also, at times these things are needed for me to hit back
at a few stupid HJ fans who believe HJ is better than Boss. :)

[arr] Music Maestro A.R. Rahman does it again - NDTV

2008-01-21 Thread Vithur
http://www.ndtvmusic.com/Review.asp?category=hindi&id=138&albumname=Jodhaa+Akbar

*This man works wonders, album after album, and never fails to disappoint
listeners. Music maestro A R Rahman has done it again.
*
He returns after *Guru* to compose the soundtrack of *Jodhaa Akbar* that has
already been showered with praises.
Packed with two instrumental numbers and five tracks, *Jodhaa Akbar* has the
makings of a hit.

Elaborate arrangements include the trumpets and the drums in *Azeem O Shaan
Shehenshah*.

It is a wonderful composition and Mohammad Aslam and Bonnie Chakraborty, who
have sung it, have done justice to the song. Lyrics by Javed Akhtar are up
to the mark.

Sonu Nigam and Madhushree render a romantic piece titled *In lamhon ke
daaman mein* that initially seems like any other track until it picks up
pace.

Javed Akhtar pens noteworthy lyrics while Rahman's music keeps the standard
you expect from the maestro himself.

*Jashn-e-bahaaran*, sung by Javed Ali, comes next. The soft, serene and
romantic piece displays an ideal fusion of Ali's vocals with string music.

There's also a *Jashn-e–bahaaran* (instrumental), which gives the flute a
key position in the track. Rahman finally makes his presence felt in areas
other than compositions by singing *Khwaja mere Khwaja*.

His rendition coupled with the harmonium, *tabla* (percussion) and claps
make for marvellous music. One begins to wonder how a *qawwali* could
impress to this extent that it ensures immediate gratification to everyone.

*Khwaja mere Khwaja* (instrumental) is as good as the previous instrumental
number belted out.
*Mann Mohana* comes in the end as an average number.

This track, rendered by Bela Shende, is not too bad but after listening to
the other numbers in the album, one would prefer placing it at the bottom of
the six.

*Rahman has once again proved that what he composes is of a completely
different genre, standard and calibre. He stands in a place where there can
be no competitors; his is a level that cannot be matched.*

[arr] [Semi-ARR]: 3:20 tentative running time for JA

2008-01-21 Thread Thulasi Ram
So what's the running time of the most-awaited film of the year -- JODHAA
AKBAR? While UTV and Ashutosh Gowariker have been keeping quiet about its
final length, this writer has learnt of some facts pertaining to its running
time.

The rough cut of JODHAA AKBAR was of almost 4 hours' duration, which was
brought down to 3.20 hours. However, the film may be trimmed further,
thereby making the final length anywhere between 3 and 3.20 hours. Since the
film is of epic proportions, it wouldn't be possible to bring down its
length below 3 hours, which means that the historical will be of 3 + hours
for sure.

Await the official statement from Gowariker and UTV.

Rahman sings for G.V. Prakash IndiaGlitz [Tuesday, January 22, 2008]

It is known to everyone that the young music composer G V Prakashkumar is
related to the music maestro A.R. Rahman. Prakash is the son of Rahman's
elder sister.

Though the young man has won several hearts by his youthful and imaginative
tunes, he is yet to receive any appreciation from his uncle.

Rahman, however, has the habit of uttering a few words of appreciation on
his nephew, while talking to his sister.

Prakash has recently asked Rahman to sing a song in his composing and Rahman
is said to have accepted the request. It is believed that the uncle would
sing in his nephew's music soon.

Re: [arr] ARR's favourite singers

2008-01-21 Thread Moin Ali
Hi,

first of all, it doesn't work like this for rahman, he chooses singers based
on the song, situation and at times on the actors too. he may have list of
favourite singers but then being the person he is… he just cant do un-justice
to rest of the singers... can he? and even another point is he has introduced a
lot of new singers also; though he can always rope-up the most
successful\famous or his favorite singers all the time.

now lets come to prime point, his female singer is undoubtedly Lata
Mungeshkar, as he has admitted in numerous events. though he has made her sing
only few of his songs because to him she is exclusive and she should only be
used for songs that could do proper justice to her voice. he also mentioned
that with each of his songs with Lata ji he has tried to show her his tributes.

and for male singers, in an recent interview (for guru) he has suggested the
name of Hariharan. however, previously at other events he has also suggested
the names of SPB and several others.

i have only shared what i have in my knowledge

Hi Amith,
I think Na'ats usually have no instruments, and surely no musical
interludes from what little I know. I am not quite familiar with the
style, although in terms of content, it qualifies as a Na'at.. For
those wondering, salallahu alaihi wasallam is Arabic for "May Peace be
upon him".. A R sent me a minute-long clip that was the edit for
promo, and the rest of the words are clearly in Urdu/Hindi--the song
being about the prophet Muhammad of Islam, and all adresses being
meant for him.. "Ae Habib-e Khuda (O Beloved of God..),
Ahmed-e-Mujtaba (Praiseworthy and Chosen..), Salallahu Alaihi Wasallam
(May peace be upon you), Marhaba (Greetings), ya mustafa (O friend),

his failure to understand what quality music means.
But guys don't be so ballistic. Tru fans of Rahman won't react like
this. Rahman would not take offence to comments like these. Then y
should we create a big issue about it. Arre 'Jab Haathi Chalte Hain

It should be Marhaba Ya Mustafa Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam

Ranojoy! Can we call this song a Na'aat? I think we can. Need your
confirmation!

Thanks.

[arr] Like to hear what the seniors think of JA's music

2008-01-21 Thread Chord
For those who grew up in the golden era of Indian music with the likes
of Naushaad and Shankar Jai-Kishan, I would be curious to know what
they thought of JA's music, esp. those who are more classically
inclined and enjoy classical music. Everyone here, please ask your
parents, aunties, uncles, grandmas, and grandpas to listen to JA's
music and get their opinion. I am waiting for my parents to return
from India before I give them a copy of the CD and hear what they have
to say. I really respect the opinions of elders who grew up in the
golden era of melody, esp. the classical oriented folks.

[arr] Re: Just for fun......let's compare trios!

2008-01-21 Thread Dinesh Vaidya
I rate Deepa Mehta 1, then Ashutosh Gowarikar 2 with a difference of
0.1%, and also with same margin Mani Ratnam at 3.

In short, all these three MOVIE directors have CLEAR-CUT ideas as to
what they want as a finished product for their film and they get it
from RAHMAN and in the same way, Rahman also enjoys working with
these 3 MOVIE directors. So the results speak for themselves.

And if I can remove GURU from Mani Ratnam's list and substitute it
with KANNATHIL MUDHALMITTAL, then the order reverses, Mani comes
1'st, Ashutosh and Deepa come 2 & 3.

Best regards
Dinesh Vaidya

is so impulsing and the back ground percussion makes it a perfect
praising song. then comes the sword rythms which again proves that
rahman is so innovative with his sounds. What I loved the most in
this song is the part between 3:46 to 4:40 and the last chorus
part, which I cannot describe in words, that can be felt only by
heart. Every time the chorus sings each time it gives a electric
impulse feeling as in it shows that Akbar is really great, the dheem
thom chorus part gives us a picture of the power of Akbar and
greatness of Rahman. We can enjoy each and every bit of this song.

should go to Javed Ali (of course after Rahman) for so beautifully
presenting the song. This one is simple and sweet song and has not
many layers like the previous one. The tabla are sounds and santoor
sounds are so melodious.Just one or two layers which makes it very
sweet one. This shows Rahman is capable of composing a grand song
even with not many layers in it. The song is so grand melody song,
this shows why he is called THE KING OF MELODY. A perfect romantic
song

on me but for the very next time I heard I learned that it was
amazingly beautiful song. With this I can understand why Rahman is
called the MAGICIAN. Now I am listening to this one the most number
of times. Rahman's voice is the main attraction in this song, he sung
so beautifully, its so divine voice. Each and every word which comes
out of Rahman's mouth show us paradise. This song is made in heaven
by musical god a r rahman. Whenever I stop playing the CD this song
wanders in my mind, the sound of kwaja mere kwaja with rahman's voice
echoes in my mind and I keep on singing myself- Kwaja mere kwaja. The
multi -layered vocals are amazing. Whenever Rahman comes from anthra
to mukuda again and sings kwaja mere kwaja it gives me goose bumps, I
feel like to bow down before Rahman

song like Jash-e-bahara but no, its a different song. This is a song
with a lot of variations. This one starts with a melody tune and
suddenly goes to a different groove and with a nice chorus. Sonu
nigam's voice is impressive and chorus is also so good. The santor
used through the song is melodious. the transformation from the
mukuda part to anthra is done very well and the return to mukuda
again is outstanding. i think this song depicts how jodha and akbar
get united.

really liked the song, just hearing to the singers voice makes me to
listen it again. Bela Shende did an excellent job, she sings on
varied scales and pace through the song thats beautiful. The flute
vocals used remin me of Taal. I can suggest you a way to like the
song, just start with listening to only this song and do not listen
to other numbers before this one and just close your eyes and listen
how the singer sings through the song, her voice itself makes the
song a nice one . Sometimes it sounds like Ahistha Ahistha from
Swades. I think its a situation oriented song and we will like it
definitely while watching the film. I became a great fan of Bela
Shende of this song. the song is growing on me each time I listen to
it
>

specifically because when Rahman composes an instrumental its
always mind blowing. Navin again did magic with his flute . We can
hear two types of flute vocals through the song that makes this one a
different one and Kwaja mere Kwaja instrumental shows that why Rahman
is innovative in using different kinds of musical instruments like
Oboe so nicely. I am sure this one will give a greater impact

[arr] Re: [Semi ARR] Copyright Issues Simplified... More questions !

2008-01-21 Thread Dinesh Vaidya
Dear Amith

I have following queries pertaining to a group of artists performing
songs on stage.

1. If the songs are not performed by the original musicians / artists
and singers, then why a IPA permission is required ? The stiff fees
required in doing a stage show really strangle new talent coming up
and learning like Eklavya by learning the songs / works of an artist
during performing.
2. In any case, songs performed on stage try to go close to the
original but never DITTO due to limitation of acoustics, musicians,
instrumentation etc, then how come it comes under the copyright act ?
3. If one purchases ORIGINAL CD and makes remixes out of it and then
shares these remixed songs, is it violation of original song's
rights ?

Best regards

[arr] Madhushree's Section in Lamho - Breath-taking melody!

2008-01-21 Thread Chord
This melody sung by Madhushree is possibly one of the most beautiful
melodies I have ever heard anywhere. When I first heard this section,
I was just stunned. The melodic contour is so smooth and delicate
while not too difficult to sing..it's so incredibly lilting and
conveys the emotions of the lyrics so powerfully. The whole song just
rocks!

Dear friends,Here is an opportunity to spread the word about the A.R.Rahman
Foundation and contribute to it as well. A series of 9 colouring books for
children, based on the theme of Pray For Me Brother (the first book was
released by ARR at the Delhi concert) are being released over thenext year.
This is an entirely non-profit venture and all proceeds from the sales of these
books will go the Foundation. The books are priced at Rs. 100/- eachHere is how
you can contribute to this effort -i. Buy copies for personal useii. Buy copies
to gift to relatives and friendsiii. Buy copies to sell/donate/distribute to
schools and institutionsThe books can be purchased online from
http://cgi.ebay.in/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220193732875Shipping is
presently available only within India. For fans located outside of India, you
could ship these books to family and friends in India. If someone is interested
in a bulk order, the publishers will consider shipping them overseas too. From
the fan community, We are hoping to guarantee minimum sales of 500 copies per
title. That is the least we could do given our commitment, devotion and size.
Even at 2 copies per person, only 250 people need to buy. We could surely do
much more than that. Looking forward to your ardent support. On behalf of the
foundation,Vijay.

2008-01-21 Thread Chord
If the songs are so good, imagine the BGM!

[arr] You're right.......some Non South Asians would love JA

2008-01-21 Thread Chord
Or for that matter, a lot of ARR's soundtracks would I think be
appreciated by open minded people outside of South Asia. I stress
the word "open minded" because there are a lot of musically insular
people here in the US who reject anything smelling foreign or
exotic. Look what happened to Bombay Dreams. Yet, I think there
would be a sizable enough crowd here in the West that would find the
songs in JA and in other ARR albums very beautiful and soulful, esp.
among liberals and those who are more exposed to non Westerners and
various cultures.

Great comparison and imagery! So true! I was just going to post how
the music has this royal and regal quality to it that's so pure and
untainted. It sounds like it fits the movie so well, which is
exactly how it should be. ARR matches the movie so well..never
too much, never too little. It just depends on how the director
visualizes his songs, and I think Ashutosh will do justice to these
gems!

[arr] Feedback about JA songs by American Lady in Chicago Downtown

2008-01-21 Thread Siraj K
My dear fellow Rahmaniacs...

I'm so excited to share the happy news that I'm repeatedly playing JA songs
in my apartment. I'm staying in heart of downtown in Chicago in a 49 storied
building where most of the neighbors are Americans. I'm playing these JA
songs very loudly and repeatedly.

My roomie is a semi-ARR fan (or sometimes anti-ARR). When he gets out of my
apartment, the neighboring lady caught him (as if she was waiting for
somebody to open our door) and he was worried that she is going to complain.

She told him that she liked all the songs playing in our home and she want
those songs (with lyrics). And she also enquired about the composer (AR
Rahman). The reason I'm excited is these information was told by my roomie
(semi-ARR fan). He is also happy now; and he really understood the power of
ARR.

I'm so happy that these people also like our BOSS's songs. I didn't meet her
today. I'm going to meet her tomorrow with CD & Lyrics.

Happily...

My message was not directly at you specifically, it was a general word of

this thread.

I did not mention ARR anywhere. I don't know whether the guy at

indiafm is biased against ARR, therefore I can't say he's only doing

this to ARR albums, but strictly speaking based on music, his review

was ridiculous, ARR or not. I don't know why you are inferring Rahman

in my comments, because I don't mention him. Thanks for warning me

about being abusive though, however, I thought it was mild.

[arr] Why India won @ Perth

2008-01-21 Thread Pradeepan R
Guys,
one important reason why India won at Perth was because I was continously
playing "Chale Chalo" & listening to it, with the Commentary on Mute !!!
The last time I did that was during India's big win in the West Indies last
year. (first outside-subcontinent win in a looong time)
I reserve this strategy for the big occasions.

Cheers,

[arr] Public Opinion vs Review

2008-01-21 Thread Sam
It's been a while where a reviewer's opinion was totally in contrast to general
public opinion (fans?) for an ARR album.. The 2 / 5 stars was a shocker.. The
last time I remember was for Yuva, when Subhash Jha called it souless..

[arr] His Master's Voice

2008-01-21 Thread s_girish2003
I have been a silent member of this group for couple of yrs and have shared all
the joys and
pride of fellow Rahmanics. I couldnt stop myself posting this after listening
to 'Khwaja Mere
Khwaja'.

On first hearing I appreciated it as great qawali in recent times. Later when
I tried listening
by focusing on each instrument, Rahman's voice , chorus...now wait a
min...where's the
chorus...I was hearing Rahman's voice..Now I was stuck here thinking that its
just Rahman's
voice playing in my mind...But a mail in this group just confirmed that its
Rahman's voice as
chorus all alongMan this is called a genius at work...To have one voice as
a lead and
chorus with diff modulations and tones...

Truly..the song is His Master's Voice.

Yeah, please bro, be careful on what u send them..
Like what Gopal said, whatever got sent to them,ARR sir's name will
get spoilt.."ARR's fans is like this and like that and so forth"..
I mean wat can one review do..With that review can our maestro's
Musical touch go away..Or will he give bad music after this? Of course
not..
Those people who give these bad reviews are in my eyes, called
minorities..So what if he doesn't like it..He's just one man pushing
the mountain..In the end,he'll get tired..So lets all focus on the
Music of the maestro!!
Cheers guys!!

[arr] Teach IndiaFM a lesson, write to Editor.

2008-01-21 Thread Pravinder Sheoran
Hi guys,
Below the article (IndiaFM Review of JA) there is the link "Write to
editor"
If hundreds and hundreds of people from our group write to editor very
strictly about this review, he simply won't be able to ignore it.
I already have written my letter demanding an explanation,
I request everyone here to write at least 2 letters to editor.

Guys, many people read these reviews and make their decisions on the
basis of these.
We simply can not allow such dishonest thing to be written.
Same website contributed a lot negative about YUVA with another
websites and see what had happened with the fate of the movie.

Here is the link again to the review:

[arr] MY REVIEW ON JA

2008-01-21 Thread shalivahan Phoebus
this is my personal opinion on Jodha Akbar music

AZEEM -O -SHAAN SHAHENSHA:
this song is very very opulently composed by rahman--the horn sound, the
percusions, thumps, the chorus all are eloquent. The chorus is so impulsing and
the back ground percussion makes it a perfect praising song. then comes the
sword rythms which again proves that rahman is so innovative with his sounds.
What I loved the most in this song is the part between 3:46 to 4:40 and the
last chorus part, which I cannot describe in words, that can be felt only by
heart. Every time the chorus sings each time it gives a electric impulse
feeling as in it shows that Akbar is really great, the dheem thom chorus part
gives us a picture of the power of Akbar and greatness of Rahman. We can enjoy
each and every bit of this song.

JASH-E-BAHARAA:
this one is a singers song. I think that the credit to this song should go to
Javed Ali (of course after Rahman) for so beautifully presenting the song. This
one is simple and sweet song and has not many layers like the previous one. The
tabla are sounds and santoor sounds are so melodious.Just one or two layers
which makes it very sweet one. This shows Rahman is capable of composing a
grand song even with not many layers in it. The song is so grand melody song,
this shows why he is called THE KING OF MELODY. A perfect romantic song

KWAJA MERE KWAJA:
honestly speaking the first time I heard the song it did not grew on me but
for the very next time I heard I learned that it was amazingly beautiful song.
With this I can understand why Rahman is called the MAGICIAN. Now I am
listening to this one the most number of times. Rahman's voice is the main
attraction in this song, he sung so beautifully, its so divine voice. Each and
every word which comes out of Rahman's mouth show us paradise. This song is
made in heaven by musical god a r rahman. Whenever I stop playing the CD this
song wanders in my mind, the sound of kwaja mere kwaja with rahman's voice
echoes in my mind and I keep on singing myself- Kwaja mere kwaja. The multi
-layered vocals are amazing. Whenever Rahman comes from anthra to mukuda again
and sings kwaja mere kwaja it gives me goose bumps, I feel like to bow down
before Rahman

Inn Lamhon Ki Daaman Mein:
Initially I thought this one is another different romantic & melody song like
Jash-e-bahara but no, its a different song. This is a song with a lot of
variations. This one starts with a melody tune and suddenly goes to a different
groove and with a nice chorus. Sonu nigam's voice is impressive and chorus is
also so good. The santor used through the song is melodious. the transformation
from the mukuda part to anthra is done very well and the return to mukuda again
is outstanding. i think this song depicts how jodha and akbar get united.

Man Mohana:
I do not know why many did not liked this one but personally I really liked the
song, just hearing to the singers voice makes me to listen it again. Bela
Shende did an excellent job, she sings on varied scales and pace through the
song thats beautiful. The flute vocals used remin me of Taal. I can suggest you
a way to like the song, just start with listening to only this song and do
not listen to other numbers before this one and just close your eyes and listen
how the singer sings through the song, her voice itself makes the song a nice
one . Sometimes it sounds like Ahistha Ahistha from Swades. I think its a
situation oriented song and we will like it definitely while watching the film.
I became a great fan of Bela Shende of this song. the song is growing on me
each time I listen to it

Intrumentals:
Both the instrumentals are excellent no need to mention this specifically
because when Rahman composes an instrumental its always mind blowing. Navin
again did magic with his flute . We can hear two types of flute vocals through
the song that makes this one a different one and Kwaja mere Kwaja instrumental
shows that why Rahman is innovative in using different kinds of musical
instruments like Oboe so nicely. I am sure this one will give a greater impact

Aamir Khan lines up 3 productions for 2008
--
By Businessofcinema.com Team
   21 January 2008, 09:20 PM

MUMBAI: Still reveling in the success of his directorial debut *Taare Zameen
Par*, actor – producer Aamir Khan is all set to begin shooting for the Hindi
remake of Tamil film *Ghajini*. According to Khan, the collections of *Taare
Zameen Par *have surpassed those of *Rang De Basanti*, which was released in
2006.

Khan, who has been busy with the release of his movie, for the last few
months, will resume shooting for *Ghajini* on 22 January.

Apart from this, the actor's production house is also buzzing with work. As
many as three films are being worked upon this year at Aamir Khan
Productions. The shooting for the next film under his banner - *Jaane Tu…**
*is now complete. The film, which is being directed by Abbas Tyrewala, will
see the debut of Khan's nephew Imran Khan. Telugu actress Genelia has been
cast opposite Imran.

Khan is also in the process of supervising the preparations on his other
home production called *Delhi Belly*, which will be an action comedy. The
shooting for the same starts in March.

What's more, Khan has also zeroed in on yet another film that he will be
producing later this year. The film is as yet untitled.

As for the *Ghajini* remake, the title for the Hindi version has not yet
been decided upon. The film also stars Asin, Mohit Alawat and Jiah Khan and
is directed by A.R. Murugadoss, who incidentally also directed the Tamil
version.

The movie is being produced by Allu Arvind and Madhu Varma. The film's music
is by AR Rahman and lyrics are by Prasoon Joshi. Cinematography is by Ravi
Chandran and choreography by Ahmed Khan.

Apart from all these activities, Khan is also readying for the home video
release of *Taare Zameen Par*. In an earlier interview with
Businessofcinema.com, Khan had said that post completing the shoot for *
Ghajini*; he would take a six months' break from work. Now with all the
activities lined up at his production house, it remains to be seen whether
the actor is able to get away!

[arr] HJ's latest lift in bheema

2008-01-21 Thread sriramselvakumar
The climax scene of bheema has a BGM which is directly lifted from
ARR's Munbe vaa(Jillunu oru kaadhal)..The second line of this
song "Naan, naana ketten..." has been retuned and used as a BGM
which comes just after trisha's death scene.

The video of the climax is available on youtube.
Listen carefully to the BGM starting from 28th second till the 55th sec.

Here is the link

Can you even imagine the no: of page visits this would have generated for
them from this group.
Let alone the no: of user reviews / comments. It could be a cheap tactic or
sheer ignorance from the reviewer, and either don't deserve the attention
that its getting. The reviewer probably would have got his raise by now,
seeing the response he has generated. ;)

I too wrote to the editor about this stupid and poor review.

What the hell has happened to this dumb guy "Joginder"? Does he really have
musical sense? On what basis, he has given this review?

What an amazing songs these are...!!! Many of friends (non-arr fans) also
like these songs. They really enjyoed all the songs (except Mann Mohana)..
But I like that tooo...

Listen multiple times to ARR's magic and write a review.

My rating for this is 5/5.

2008-01-21 Thread Thulasi Ram
thanks for posting this review... if the reviewer cant praise the beauty of
"in lamhon ke" song, what more can we say???only ARR can handle such a
complex song transcending to the emotional feeling of jodha and akbar..
after reading the english translation of the lyrics, i just felt that the
song is jus brilliant in execution and lyrics. ARR RULES..

the comment on lagaan was absolutely ridiculous. ff

[arr] [IMPORTANT] Are you searching for a reason to be kind ?

2008-01-21 Thread Vijay Iyer
Dear friends,

Here is an opportunity to spread the word about the A.R.Rahman Foundation
and contribute to it as well. A series of 9 colouring books for children,
based on the theme of Pray For Me Brother (the first book was released by
ARR at the Delhi concert) are being released over the
next year. This is an entirely non-profit venture and all proceeds from the
sales of these books will go the Foundation.

The books are priced at Rs. 100/- each

Here is how you can contribute to this effort -

i. Buy copies for personal use
ii. Buy copies to gift to relatives and friends
iii. Buy copies to sell/donate/distribute to schools and institutions

The books can be purchased online from
http://cgi.ebay.in/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220193732875

Shipping is presently available only within India. For fans located outside
of India, you could ship these books to family and friends in India. If
someone is interested in a bulk order, the publishers will consider shipping
them overseas too.

>From the fan community, We are hoping to guarantee minimum sales of 500
copies per title. That is the least we could do given our commitment,
devotion and size. Even at 2 copies per person, only 250 people need to buy.
We could surely do much more than that.

Looking forward to your ardent support.

On behalf of the foundation,
Vijay.

Re: [arr] My message to the editor at indiafm

2008-01-21 Thread Gopal Srinivasan
Friends,

Just want to caution that while it is perfectly fine to write to indiaFM to
express your disagreement with or indignation at their review of JA's music,
please do not get abusive. That is NOT acceptable in general and more so when
you are writing in reference to ARR. Please be very careful about this. We
want to be responsible fans and not get uncouth in any manner.

Thanks,
Gopal.

bring indiafm's credibility down by his outright ridiculous reviews.

His review of '2-star' for Jodhaa Akbar and the 47 user reviews of

4.65, as of this email, is the testament to that.

Enough of being politically correct, I say you give him a couple of

Because this is a different movie. Maybe the issue was with OSO. Also since
Aamir is the
producer, he will give the royalty to arr. SEL got complete rights for Taare

Raihanaji was mentioning abt Accordion .. am not very sure . May be he may
be taking some very light instruments which do not create that much of
sound, but still you can practise it even while waiting for boarding in the
airport

She was insisting on how he carries it everywhere , irrespetive of its
weight , and how he prepares himself for a concert etc

Whenever ARR travels abroad for concerts, he never puts his accordion or some
