As i stated before, when the concept of the UEZ zones were developed, the goal was to bring in retailers and jobs to the urban areas where people and business was needed. Monies spent go back to help the ENTIRE area. The 3% tax was an incentive. Let's look at this subjectively...If JK claims that west side people are upset about the beachfront development, don't you think it's possible that they would be upset, becasuse as far as I can see, there's nothing as for redevelopment going on in their community. Secondly, it's entirely possible for west side people to feel like they are being pushed out. Many from Asbury Park's Gay community have moved to Ocean Township over the past year. OT is quite a draw. Has been for years.
