Yes, I made a change in 0.7 where the first setup.php reboot waits longer (since SSH keys are generated) so the box is ready after the reboot for the second step. When in the 0.6 setup.php and you get the "page not found", a browser "Reload" after 20 seconds or so usually works to get you to the second step. Lonnie -- Come build with us! I tried via the shell, but format told me there were already partitions on hda, and configure told me it was already configured. I've therefore brushed the dust off the Mac, and Lonnie's script is now running, so thanks for the advice, and thanks to Lonnie for the script. Who would've thought it would take three OSs to delete a CF card? Cheers Tom -- Come build with us! I don't believe it tells you manually to visit the setup page twice. The one issue while I was using the setup page was that the HTTP redirect, which is meant to forward you back to the setup page once the box has rebooted, redirected too early, so I got a page not found. [Astlinux-users] UnionFS problem
Hello all I have installed the geni586 image of 0.6.7, and then run pbx/admin/setup.php, selecting the defaults for persistent storage. Files I write to /mnt/kd persist across reboots. However, changes made via the Edit tab of the Astlinux GUI (selecting files which do not exist on /mnt/kd) do not persist. In addition, each reboot seems to be regenerating the security keys, so I get prompted with a Putty warning next time I SSH to it. Mount shows: rootfs on / type rootfs (rw) /dev/root on /oldroot type ext2 (rw) /dev/hda2 on /oldroot/mnt/asturw type ext2 (rw,noatime) none on /oldroot/mnt/asturo type tmpfs (ro) none on / type unionfs (rw,dirs=/oldroot/mnt/asturw=rw:/oldroot/mnt/asturo=ro) none on /proc type proc (rw) none on /dev type tmpfs (rw) none on /var type tmpfs (rw) none on /tmp type tmpfs (rw) none on /sys type sysfs (rw) usbfs on /proc/bus/usb type usbfs (rw) none on /dev/pts type devpts (rw) /dev/hda1 on /oldroot/cdrom type vfat (ro,fmask=0022,dmask=0022,codepage=cp437,iocharset=iso8859-1) none on /proc/sys/fs/binfmt_misc type binfmt_misc (rw) I should say that this is the CF card I was having problems wiping. Re: [Astlinux-users] UnionFS problem
Darrick, Ok, by the moment I will use the old version. Only for your information, I tried to run /sbin/fsck.ext2 /dev/hda2 but always appears the same problem: fsck.ext2 /dev/hda2 e2fsck 1.39 (29-May-2006) ext2fs_check_if_mount: No such file or directory while determining whether /dev/hda2 is mounted. Superblock last mount time is in the future. Fix? yes Superblock last write time is in the future. Fix? yes ASTURW has gone 49710 days without being checked, check forced. Pass 1: Checking inodes, blocks, and sizes Pass 2: Checking directory structure Pass 3: Checking directory connectivity Pass 4: Checking reference counts Pass 5: Checking group summary information ASTURW: * FILE SYSTEM WAS MODIFIED * ASTURW: 123/93840 files (1.6% non-contiguous), 14464/373968 blocks It's possible that the problem is Alix dont have the correct date/time. In the future I think is necessary to take in account this problem. Manuel, Trunk is not stable. We are working through some changes to the initrd which should actually check the asturw file system at boot time. With the new initrd, it should drop you to a shell (which it does). If you manually run /sbin/fsck.ext2 /dev/hda2 you should be prompted to repair several unlinked inodes etc. Do this manually, then reboot. After fixing those inodes, it should be fine. I did bump unionfs from 2.2.2 to 2.4 yesterday. This may help. I've been extremely swamped the last month or so with various projects/work/summer etc and haven't had time to get this completely ironed out. You can use the initrd from and older revision. It won't do a file system check at all on the asturw partition though so you may end up with problems that can only be solved by removing the CF from the system and manually fsck'ing the partition on a different computer. [Astlinux-users] UnionFS problem
Hello everyone, With an Alix board using runnix-serial and net5501 images from Darrick, no problems appears. The only warning is: Checking asturw filesystem fsck: /etc/fstab: No such file or directory fsck: fsck.ext2: No such file or directory fsck: wait: no more child process?!? Using the same board with the same runnix-serial but generating my own images (astlinux-trunk-1842) the boot process is stopped with this error: Checking asturw filesystem fsck: /etc/fstab: No such file or directory e2fsck 1.39 (29-May-2006) ext2fs_check_if_mount: No such file or directory while determining whether /dev/ hda2 is mounted. e2fsck: need terminal for interactive repairs Fsck detected errors on /dev/hda2 (8) /bin/sh: can't access tty; job control turned off If I use the old method without UnionFS the board boot without problems (astkd=/dev/hda2). I think the problem is in initrd.img. When I replace my initrd with the one from Darrick the system boot without problems using my .run file. The file from Darrick is only +-100kb but mine is more than 400kb. The only part I have changed in AstLinux Development Environment default settings is that I disable wanpipe because not compile and have selected net5501 target. Some explanation about this problem? I need to change something in AstLinux Development Environment default settings? Can I use always the initrd.img file from Darrick without problems with my .run files?
