Hi. Will this be using sapi or NVDA for speech output?I think sapi so I won't be able to test it. Which is a shame but my sapi is broken. Microsoft platform works fine for NVDA but the others sapi four and five don't work at all.

Hi.I don't usually like  this stile of music. But this was very nice. I don't have perfect pitch and wish I did, so can't comment on the singer. What I can comment on though, is why not use a better drum set? Or louder bass, I personally wouldn't like it, but isn't that how this stile goes? Lodes of waaar waar, sounds and loud bass? well okay it's not bass it's a fake bass but still, isn't that what dubstep I think it's called, is?

Hi.@CX2You no, I never thought of finding a partner who liked video games.I'll be honest. I've Always thought my chances of finding a partner were impossible.I had a girlfriend, a couple months ago, it didn't work out so I said it had to end. I'm not sad about that, but what I'm sad about is this, she's nearly blind. in fact,she's blind and has a couple other disabilities.Not meaning to sound rude or anything but, why is it the blind go out with the blind and so on? I'd love to go out  with a sited woman. It would be nicer, well I think so anyway. Sure you might argue, as anyone would in a relationship, but you'd have someone to take you places, help you out with things you couldn't do and so on.As for the blind finding int hard to find women or men who are willing to go out with them. I completely agree. I quit my English class, because I was finding it boring and find the idea of clay b
 etter cause I can touch it. I also quit because no one would talk to me in the class. Oh my friend Amin, AKA Bashue would, but he's blind too. Although to be fair on them, I didn't go and introduce myself so I'm going to try to do that in my pottery class and see where that gets  me. The one thing I can't stand is when they guide you to your seat chatting and all that, then they go away and you'll never see them again in that class or outside of it. There were a couple women who guided me and Amin, which was nice and they were nice, but again they weren't our friends, just people that guided us. We never asked to be friends but do we have to? A sighted person can just go up to another person and say hi and bang! they've got a connection. How does that work anyway? Why can't the blind, or should I say, why can't I do that? Maybe its' cause I don't say, Hi I'm brad, or maybe it's something else. I don't know. W
 hat I do know is I'm going to try to introduce myself in the pottery class and hope for the best.Sorry for the long post

Greetings!You just gained more control over apartments and ships under construction, because fingerprint scanners are now added by adding them to individual rooms! This means that what you type is no longer only 'fingerprints', but 'fingerprints exitname', and that you can now give user A and user B the rights to go north, while user C can only go south, for instance; the system is no longer adding all at once.Note: You will the most probably have to re-add those fingerprint scanners you had in your ships and/or apartments before this change.Enjoy!

If your f6 mutes, try holding fn and pressing f6. For some reason a number of companies map the f keys to windows functions and require holding the fn key while pressing the appropriate f key to use the standard function of them.

Holy apples, you guys, it worked! Seriously, I just logged in as my mehgcap account - ask Aprone to look at the server logs if you don't believe me.  I did this on the Mac, without once touching Windows! The only problem is that I can't change Sapi speech from its default (turns out I needed to install "speechsdk" to get speech working). Also, disabling the X11 graphics driver let Swamp's normal graphics work just fine. I'm going to mess around with this more - I'm not yet ready to make a full guide. Still, it looks like Swamp on the Mac (along with, most likely, many other audio games) might soon be a thing!Aprone, disregard my last message. What this setup would need Swamp to do is let you set the Sapi voice it uses. Right now, Swamp can change the speed, but it relies on whatever voice you've set in the Control Panel to speak. 
 From what I've read and heard, it's possible for an application to let the user choose the voice to use, and if Swamp could do that, that might be really helpful. Heck, it'd be helpful for anyone, if they wanted to change voices without going all the way into Windows' speech settings to do it.

To those who are saying that they cannot empathize my condition, I can understand completely. Like I said it probably is BIID and I don't really understand the mainstream form of self amputation. That doesn't make sense to me. I know there are other ways that people can permanently maim themselves as well for a better feeling of one's self as well. It appears to be a problem with body mapping in the brain (the same thing that causes phantom limbs), although I'm not sure how it works exactly with blindness since BIID is already rare enough as it is and the blind variety is also a relatively uncommon subset.I found only a few other people who had this condition with the blindness variety on the internet yesterday. There was a german guy on a forum who had been dealing with it for over 25 years. I can't even imagine to be honest, I have barely been able to get past 13 or so. I don't think he actually crossed the line though, but he talked about ho
 w he secretly felt like he wished he could trade places with blind people he sees. I understand that. It causes a lot of stress, I don't know why. It's like it's stupid but I just imagine myself with a cane, and not just that but fully blind as well. It's completely nonsensical. But if I do I know that I'm going to have to close all the gaps before I do. There's also no open world games in the audiogame community that I know of, except for maybe Swamp.I love the concept of open world where you just go around doing what you want, yeah mudding can be open world I suppose, but I'm not really into muds, too many commands to memorise and not all of them have soundpacks.Let's face it, a mud with no soundpack is rather boring.Is there such a thing as an audio MOO?I'm thinking of concepts like some of the popular muds, but turn them into audiogames, if that is even possible.Quite a lot of work I'm sure, but it would sure be worth it.

Don't get too excited yet. If we can't get speech output, we're pretty much dead in the water. Is it possible for an updated version of Swamp to offer Sapi control right in the app, self-voicing that part of the application until a voice can be set? Just a wild thought… It's thrilling to think of this actually working, but currently, no speech and no graphics output are the hold-ups. Graphics might be a Wineskin configuration thing, but speech should work if I can find out how to set it up - the menu sounds play, so we have sound output at least.

Are you using a laptop? If you are switch nvda keyboard to laptop but I don't know what it would use instead of the f6 key. Those keyboard layouts on laptops are all different. But once you've done that press the other function keys to see what happens.Hth.

Well, here's an update. I have no visuals, but the arrow keys play the menu sounds, so I'm able to at least start Swamp. Setting visuals aside for the moment, my big problem is that there's no speech at all, and I can't install NVDA due to how this thing works. I've installed ESpeak, so I should have some Sapi voices, but I can't figure out how to set one as default (no, there's no Control Panel, again due to how this works).We're getting there! For now, can anyone tell me the registry key(s) I need to change to set a synthesizer as default, so that Swamp will use Sapi and Sapi will actually be able to talk? Aprone, any idea what library or package Swamp needs to display graphics? This may well be a configuration problem on my end and not a missing component, but if there's something obvious I need, that makes things easier.  Thinking about it, can Swamp set the speech somehow? Also, here's my debug log, for all

I'm still encountering an incredibly annoying bug. It seems to occur most commonly after reviving at least once in endless mode. When a zombie reaches you and is about to attack you, the game will freeze entirely, it won't even have the decency of crashing properly. I can't really find a way to reliably reproduce it, but it has happened a few times. There seems to be a positive correlation between the length of my survival time and it crashing, sigh.

Well, here's an update. I have no visuals, but the arrow keys play the menu sounds, so I'm able to at least start Swamp. Setting visuals aside for the moment, my big problem is that there's no speech at all, and I can't install NVDA due to how this thing works. I've installed ESpeak, so I should have some Sapi voices, but I can't figure out how to set one as default (no, there's no Control Panel, again due to how this works).We're getting there! For now, can anyone tell me the registry key(s) I need to change to set a synthesizer as default, so that Swamp will use Sapi and Sapi will actually be able to talk? Aprone, any idea what library or package Swamp needs to display graphics? This may well be a configuration problem on my end and not a missing component, but if there's something obvious I need, that makes things easier.I can't tell you all how exciting it was just to hear that menu movement sound as I hit arrow k
 eys on the Mac, without using Bootcamp or a virtual machine! If I can get this working reliably, I'll post a guide, and Mac users can finally join the Swamp party. Best of all, I've not spent a cent so far - all these tools are free. Cross your fingers that I, with help from anyone who can offer it, can make this work! Thanks in advance for any suggestions anyone can provide.

I'm not quite sure what your going through. I don't mean to sound rude, and if I do, I sincerely appologize. On the other hand, reading how you felt about us blind people made me feel very good. I'm not saying that in life I don't have anyone that is accepting of me or nice to me, but there are some who think blind people are totally incapable of everything. I recall someone who firmly believed that the blind could not play video games. I'm quite happy being blind. I have many friends, I'm an up and coming drummer, and a relatively good school life. I do have struggles almost all the time, but I'm the type that can just kick them away and work through them. Sounds like you do the same thing. I'm quite happy to see you are accepting, and us in this comunity are quite happy to have you here.

For though's curious, it is now possible to not only dock on and undock from other space objects, it is now possible to disembark and reboard your spaceship. Its still a major work in progress, but hopefully has no bugs. If we keep up at this rate we should have a beta for you all to publicly test soon.

Rachel, I don't have anything useful to contribute to how you handle your struggle.  I frankly don't understand what you're going through, which isn't the criticism it may sound like, it's simply and literally the case that I do not have such impulses that I feel are beyond my eventual control.  I will not presume to judge you, something I'm working hard on cultivating.I did want to take a moment to say that I am incredibly impressed with the brave, vulnerable, kind and thoughtful responses this topic has brought forth.  This conversation could have gone so very wrong.  That it hasn't is a statement about the culture we have here which is surely not perfect, but there is a reason for pride and solace here, since on a lot of fora, this would have become a slag Rachel fest, with untold harm being done.  Good job everybody.

I really need to get into the game of thrones books since I've been hearing a lot about them lately but that's a whole different topic.@Cae, I haven't played in a while but isn't sengoku jidai sort of like this in terms of controlling multiple characters looking for food and stuff like that? In that way it's sort of like castaways accept less turn-based.

Hi Enes,Interesting points you've brought up.Here in America, technical jobs are considered the standbys for blind people. In other words, it's becoming almost stereotypical for blind people to work with computers in some capacity. Whether that's working in some kind of call center, or programming, or running your own business where you build and sell computers.I see that you're from Turkey. I'll be honest and say I know very little about the culture there, or what blind people are expected to do. But, although it makes me feel a bit ill inside, I, too, have given into the pressure to go into the IT field. Now, don't get me wrong, I find computers fascinating, and, given my propensity to want to solve problems anyway, it makes sense that I would choose this field. But I do feel as though I'm selling myself short, in a way.Booting into safe mode is just the tip of the iceberg, really. Unless we're talking about a job w
 here you would, for some reason, have to do this constantly, I doubt that would seriously hinder your ability to do the job. From what I've gathered recently, from the class I'm taking, most of it is preventive. You know, making sure that people's computers stay virus free, monitoring network usage, cleaning the computers, both internally and externally, etc.

BGT uses pitch bending for behind. One can adjust the magnitude of the bending so it's more noticeable.I also have a custom version of the sound_positioning and sound_pool scripts that allows a volume decrease as well.IIRC, The default behind pitch decrease is half a percent. I'd go for something a little bigger, but not ridiculously so. I tend to go for ~4%, but that might be a bit much and 1-3% is probably plenty.Low pass is in principal possible with BGT, but it'd be hard to implement practically.

For the same reason we don't have any proper games in a dozen other categories: only a handful of people are interested, and only a small subset of that handful is capable of doing the development. Sighted devs are nowhere near post-scarcity in terms of market, human resources, or funding, but compared to accessible game devs, they might as well be. The average indie dev can hop on to kickstarter, make a campaign with perks and a video, and call up half a dozen friends, and 30 days later they have all the necessary funding, and if they can't program that well, they always have Unity3D.Crowdfunding something so niche, especially when this depends on the accessibility of the crowdfunding sites and/or getting sighted devs to take the risk, is hard enough that we're already down to what can be built for free or devs who can handle the financial obstacle. We don't have robust, easy-to-use engines to speed things along. We don't have an audience even 1% that of graphical games.Solutions come down to some combination of these traits, according to the whole thirty seconds of thought I just put into it:Conscientiousness, Charisma, and/or a big pile of money. (This would have been easier in Japanese! や'ya' would be the perfect conjunction, here, but English doesn't really have it.)And, even better, if you have one of the three, you can probably magic up a little of the other two. They're all rather versatile.Hardly anyone here has the money, so it's a question of how much of the other two are floating around.Oops, a rant. That's not what you ordered :-/

@Danny I'll be very glad if your game comes about, and I do understand very well the issues with all aspects of producing a game, it's just that what mildly frustrates me in this respect is that all the necessary tools are there. Castaways and Lunimals showed how to do real time development and management of free acting units, Time of Conflict had the awsome map interface, and anyone with a skill in writing descriptions could design a colourful world for the game. All the elements are there, but nobody has put them together quite yet, which, given that we now have several audio games in genres from fps, to vehicle sim to some pretty good in roads into rpgs is really quite surprising, and a little frustrating considering that most of what is! accessible is of such an amazingly inferior click click minimax quality.Kodp and Castaways are very much exceptions of course, though neither is really up to the dwarf fortress level sinse Kodp, while amazing in many ways isn&
 #039;t just! a civilization and settling game and castaways doesn't quite go far enough,  though if Aprone plans a castaways ii, or something similar I'm all for that. I suppose it was just reading Martin's fantastic history of Westeros it struck me this would be an amazing thing to get stuck into, to take a group, rather like the Andals colonizing westeros, in a hostile environment where you could find literally anything, guide them to overcome weather and hostile natives, to explore for teretory and resources and then see them build an ever more complex civilization going from a few crude huts in the forest to fully fortified castles and entire cities, building their own ships and sending out new colonies of their own.It's actually a little odd, back before I played castaways I knew people who enjoyed that style of game but could never see the appeal, sinse the only examples I'd had access to had been the boring, numeric multiplayer varie
 ty. Castaways however with it's disasters and it's need to continually keep a handle on the environment and what was happening, and change your stratogy and priorities so that you could react to threats really! showed me what was possible, and now it's something I can't wait to try.

hi,I agree with afrim.blindness causes social isolation.  People will iether think your not knowledgeable about any subject or multiplely disabled.  They will avoid you as a consequence. Some things that are trivial for sighted people are tough for me. For example, walking from place to place.  Here most areas 99.9% of everywhere is primarily built for ssighted people. road surfaces might be broken, there might be no curb to indicate the road etc.  getting around in vast open spaces is chalenging for a totally blind person.  You have no sense of orientation.  Blind people can't just walk and forget.  Blind people need to memorize roots in extreme detail in order not to get lost.  Even if you do memorize roots, this does not garantee that you won't get lost. If you do get lost, finding your way back without sighted help can be extremely chalenging.

@enesI'd say that you're right. It's almost the same for me in Albania, because we have almost the same culture and customs. I don't know why he's willing to take away his vision, I really dream to have it one day. But if I don't have it, it's not a problem to be considered, I used to live like all blinds in the world.I don't know the mentality or opinions of people in America or anywhere else, but here a blind person has to suffer a lot to make a good life. The blinds are welcomed and people help them much here, for example crossing the streat or moving around a place, but when asking a girl weather she'd choose to spend her life with a blind, you will get them confused. They do really appreciate how we learn, study and sometimes are envious about our intelectuall knowledges. But asking the question above you may get a negative answer.So try to save and protect your vision, cause it'll be late one day. if it was 
 better being blind, more people would do it for sure. So, please, for your sake, try to change your opinions, and live your life naturally, how you were born. Hi Darkabomination.You should be able to open the file press enter on something you want to read then press f6 to read the file. This works with jaws so I don't see why it wouldn't work with nvda also.

Interesting. I've never thought about this but then there are a few types of games that mainstream gamers have that we don't have. There was that one game lysaaurora or something like that but I've never played it so don't know much about it. There is star traders and hopefully star traders 2 might have some good exploration stuff in it.Well I guess we'll just have to wait for aprone's next awesome game.@danny I tested out the game just last night and it's really good so far keep up the good work.

Mehgcap, the current version of Swamp you're using uses direct X7.  If that change doesn't solve it, I guess start adding all of the dll and ocx files that are in the Swamp folder.  I don't have any experience with Wine to know what exactly it would need or not need.

Depends on what type, and weather its multiplayer. If you read the development room, i've put up a thread asking for testers for my new online space game, and in order to set up that took me about 4 days, 4 long grooling days. I think the ishue, at least on my end isn't so much the programming, its finding the time to sit down and write it, then code it, then debug it. Remember with coding, I can't just say, I want a colony with a gigantic spaceship. I need to think in my head how my interface is pland out. Before you even start a project, you need to carefully plan the ideas, and I think that's partly why no games have been done like that. I could try and do a colony type thing with my space game, but it will require lots of testing.

I was hoping to give the latest version a try because I've not played the game sinse an extremely! early alpha (with about 10 pokemon I think), however I got the same exact error as when I tried before even though I'm using the latest version 1.40, which is disappointing:GameMaker: Studio: BRAILLEMON1400.exe - Entry Point Not FoundThe procedure entry point GetTickCount64 could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll. Aprone, a somewhat technical question. My grand plan is to somehow get Swamp to run on the Mac using a Wine application (the one I'm messing with right now is Wineskin). To do this, it needs all the DLLs and packages that the game requires. I've told it to use DirectX9, but what else do I need it to have? That is, what Windows packages does Swamp require? If anyone has experience with Wine, can you tell me if there's a way to get speech feedback? I'm new to all this, but I'd really like to get it all working. Thanks.

Why do we have no propper exploration and colonization games?

Hi. I've just finished reading the  World of Ice and Fire book. The descriptions of the various lands, and the wars that the heroes had across them in that book were amazing, I particularly loved how mysterious a lot of places were, and how a lot of the history involved new peoples actually going out battling, conquering and exploring to see what they  found in a very hostile world. Why is it, that with the very notable exceptions of Kodp and Castaways, we have nothing like this? I recently tried yet another browser game purporting to be about exploration and building empires, to find it was yet another "which players can number crunch the fastest" with neither descriptions of your lands, peoples or artifacts, nor any real disasters events or things to explore beyond a new building just called "town hall" or whatever. there are plenty of these sorts of games around in the mainstream, from Dwarf fortress to civilization, yet w
 hy is it all the accessible examples I find are all pretty dull multiplayer number crunchers with no atmosphere and no unexpected surprises? I know programming is an issue, but really I'm quite amazed more hasn't been done here, unless I'm missing something somewhere. Does anyone have any thoughts?

Hi,So now, new problems of the day (just kidding :d).When you keep running, in the first floor of the Rock Cave every five  or ten minutes, the sound start to be over.Had combats where couldn't hear more the pokemon never the noise of the mvoes used. to go back to a correct sound, have to save, close and come back.Greg

Had a look at this one, quite accessible and an interesting idea, and I like the way that resource gathering is made so there is always something new to find. I wish though there was an empire building game that wasn't based all around just pvp, and had ongoing challenges from the environment like Castaways instead. Just optimizing growth to try and grow faster than your rivals so you can send your troops to beat them up doesn't really do it for me, and even though this one does have the rp aspect with your hero it is still pretty grindy.

Greetings.I've been looking at the rooms folder and I'm wondering about the script files. Object and enemies are what I'm thinking about. For example in room02.txt, it says OBJECT GUN 1.4f 16.6f I take it the numbers refer to the coordinates where the gun is placed and the f is the size/length of the gun? Also in other rooms there are 2 objects. For example in room11.txt it says OBJECT AMMO11 25.0f 3.6f OBJECT MEDIC11 26.9f 3.6f. Potentially, can you have 2 objects at the same coordinates or must they be separate? Most interesting to me however are the enemies. Could you potentially put more enemies in rooms where previously there were only 1? Yes I know people are going to ask 'are you a glutton for punnishment?' I've been wanting a greater challenge. Finally, I really didn't want to kill Vince but the doctor was very difficult to beat. I imagine he doesn't just take away health but body parts to? What if we could substitute regular 
 zombies with doctor clones? Better yet, time travel. You could fight evil Vince and good Vince will tell you where he is. I can imagine having to kill 10 Vinces and 10 Doctors in the same room! What would be the prize at the end?Kind regards, Amin Abdullah.

@Guitarman, the warnings on medical drugs are there for a reason, sinse overdosing or taking in the wrong way in those circumstances could cause major illness or even death, so I don't see those sorts of warnings in the same category as your dealing with something which most people won't have an inherent knolidge of, ie, correct proportions of a given drug, it's no different from getting a prescription from your Doctor stating what dose of something you need to take. @Sebby, I agree companies have a responsability, but "within reason" is the optimum phrase. As you said yourself, I often don't believe these warnings have much to do with what is reasonable so much as they are concerned only with the company not getting sued, which is not the best mentalityy. For example, it always amuses me that the only products that have braille labels on the high street are medical drugs of one sort or another,  and cleaning products like Bleach which coul
 d be dangerous if swallowed. So, if your a blind person, you can't tell what food or drink you have in the house, but you can find all the dangerous stuff,  maybe I should go on hunger strike and then sue Hines baked beans for not labelling their tins "All I could find in my cupboard were inedible things!" .

Hi all.Agree, there was a program on a dessert which stated do not turn over.The warning was on the bottom of the box though.And I have seen not necessarily warningsbut some stupidity appearing on windows updates and other things of all things.The most recent was a couple months ago.An update was to fix a security issue in a kernel mode driver then got immediate alerts to remove it because according to ms, some users had trouble with installing programs or rebooting.However if you read that warning you would have to be booted into something.There were suggestions on how to uninstall the update if you had issues in safe mmode, all techy though and at any rate, if my system didn't boot the first thing I'd do is put in my recovery mode cd.I would be asked are you sure you want to recover the system?I hit yes, and the system would be reformatted.Similar updates by companies have come over in the years.Microsof
 t seems to cop a lot of the publically noticed ones.fonts not displaying right and a few other things.I had one in early 2000 where on updating an update kept asking me to uninstall when updating and then windowsupdate would error.I answered no thinking there was an error on my part.the system started and the keyboard didn't work.I put in my recovery disk hit yes and a reformat later it was booting up again.I never got the same issue again and apparently there was something up at that time.However after updating a system back in 1998 I got  another update which I installed.In its description, it said basically, this update is to address the fact that whilst securing your system we blocked all internet access!Despite the fact that if you were blocked you couldn't update.I am sure others have things.The most common things I see are for stupid people or people that still like to read, click and run spam at
 tachments and links.In a lot of updates over the last couple years I have got a message, stating you can't be hacked unless you click a link or open an attachment.So why update then?Answer because there are still people that do that sort of thing.I have well had a friend in an organisation that said that every bit of security software, antivirus, os update, etc could potentially stuff the system and that he didn't use any of that stuff because it breaks things.Further more he said we didn't need the best security we just have to use our brains more.While I don't fully agree with this statement, it does seems there are still people that don't use their brains to the fullest, discounting those that have had most of them eaten by zombies or are actually zombies.

hi sebby,it's true that we have an obligation to protect people from hazzards.  However it should be in reason.  There are reasonable warnings.  But some things are common sense.for example, people shouldn't tell you not to insert paper clips into your SD card reader.  You should know that inserting paper clips is a bad idea, and has a shock hazzard due to the metal in the clips.Tward, lol, I wunder... do paperclips fit into the card reader. And do nails fit in a ethernet port.  I'm not going to try though. I don't want to mess up my brand new pc. btw, I found one sensable warning in my recorder manual. Do not disasemble the device. Do not atempt to self-repair the device. Now this is logical. In turkey people have a tendency to try to fix things themselves. The guy might say, well, I graduated from electronics and electronics engineering, I can do this. Btw, another dumb warning from the manual.  Do not hea

Hi.@Hanif, I've never had this problem. But here's what I do. Go through the doors up the ladder then walk all the way left then right. The enemies will appear kill them quickly because they are very fast then head out the door. Make sure you have the rifle's speed and capacity upgraded otherwise it will be really hard to kill these enemies.@Danny, awesome this is so cool thanks for all the hard work.

Which is why I have a protecter handling my power cords and my computers and other electronics are routed through a protecter box of high quality.A lot of my electronics not my laptop sadly but a lot in the house are on 2 ups devices.We are due to get a power network upgrade and also a switchboard upgrade to negate serges but if you use a cheap Chinese power box yes things could go nuts and if you have a serge in your system, well yeah.I don't excersise the battery as often as I should but I do use the battery quite a lot.

Hi.It's amazing all these stupid warnings you get. I believe that if people thought before they act we wouldn't need all of these rediculous warnings.I've come across these kinds of warnings a lot. I remember some medications I had listed the side effects shaking, insomnia, and possibly death. Or even different appliances the warnings tell you not to put them near water or run them for a long period of time. You'd think that people would just know these things but they don't.@Cx2, lol I remember that guy in the chair with the balloons. I remember reading about that and wanting to do the same thing. It's crazy the things that people think up.

The boat, the S.S. Anne, is in Vermilion City. I believe it's somewhere along the bottom edge of the city.If HM usage is working properly you should be able to just bump into the bush and hit enter on it to ask if you want to cut it, but that could be different. If nothing else, bump up against a bush you want to cut, then open the Pokémon menu and select the one who has learned Cut. Remember, all this hinges on you having taught the move Cut to one or more of your pokemon, and you can't find Cut until you finish the S.S. Anne.

LOL! Your incredulity is a little frightening in itself, enes. Aren't you concerned for the poor people who might try anything listed there? Of course it's all very amusing, but the instructions are there because we have a responsibility to design safe products, and although we can't possibly prevent every hazard in the design of the product itself, we are also somewhat obligated to try to prevent others from making those same mistakes if we know there's a possibility of it.I think this comes down to the question of what could be reasonably expected. If a person could reasonably be expected to suffer some consequence, then as Dark and CX2 above suggested, I think the ideal situation is one where a lawsuit is clearly impossible. That is sadly still too often not recognised in English courts because there are still established interests preventing us from going forward, though from my understanding of the US legal system it's a good deal worse over there. Whereas, if the manufacturer of a product is positioned to advise against some hapless act, however it is conceived or for whatever reason it is undertaken by some poor creature, it should be noted as a safety precaution. This is really no different from warnings on exam papers telling you how to mark them correctly; it's purely "For the avoidance of doubt".All this incidentally from someone who nearly lost his hand in an unprotected air conditioning system. The people designing that product didn't give a crap about safety, clearly …

Ah, now I see why you want HRTF, just wanted to make sure you aren't unnecessarily shooting too far on your first attempt.Though I wonder if the 3D audio in BGT did not use a low pass filter for stuff behind you.Just adding that is probably enough to easily distinguish behind from in front in lieu of using actual HRTF.Regarding sound libraries available for C++ or C#.In general those libraries are created in C or C++ with C FFI.Which means that in C# you have to make a wrapper around them, or find an existing one, usually other people have already wrapped them and provide their wrappers free and open source.And C++ needs no wrapper so has one less layer of indirectionAs an example I'm currently using OpenTK to wrap OpenALSoft and NLibsndfile to wrap Libsndfile.They were both freely available with source code so I didn't need to write them.I noticed that sometimes OpenTK would fail to initialize the sound devic
 e, so I found the snippet of OpenTK code that could fail and changed it to retry a few times if it failed.Not sure why it failed, but retrying a few times consistently initializes it correctly.This problem may also have existed in C++, I'm not sure.NLibsndfile had wrapped 95% of the libsndfile methods.Then I realized I needed to use the C callback functions to provide my own file parsing functions, so I had to add the wrappers to NLibsndfile because it was missing those.And there was another minor bug in NLibsndfile where it thought 0 was a bad parameter to a function, but the Libsndfile documentation said 0 was valid and had meaning.So I commented out the 2 lines that checked for a 0 and threw an exception.So most sound libraries are available in both C++ and C#, but sometimes you need to tweak the C# wrappers a bit.So I'd call this a slight pro for C++, but only slight.The only other audio libraries I've used 
 in C# are DirectSound and DirectShow through the Managed DirectX dlls.Tactical Battle still uses DirectShow.I know less about the screen reader libraries.I expect most of them have C APIs, and know that Craig Brett made a C# wrapper for one of them.Hope that helps.

hi danny, I've encountered 1 bug in the game.when I died at destiny station, where you will fight a lot of enemies, then the level restarts at the gunning bay, I go to the bridge, go 10 steps right, go to the turbo lift then to the docking bay, enter that console, hack the two doors, then go to position 100, open the door, open the next door, then I climb the ladder, hack the door, then when I walk left about 20 steps I can't do anything and suddenly it says you have died. restarting at the last checkpoint...can you fix this bug?
