Hi ryokI think I’m not using Kur’ran for scientific purposes, rather than showing something that persuades me to think that that book is true and it makes me believe it.Correct me if I’m wrong, Kur’ran was written or brought to earth about 13 or 14 centuries ago.There are some things written there which need prophetic abilities to be written at that time. I think even a group of scientists together nowadays can’t even write a book with that kind of knowledge.By the time when Kur’ran was written, the first geographic maps started to be produced, so no science was existing. The science started growing during the middle ages, didn’t it?If people read and learned these books in the right way, probably this topic would not be posted.I love your opinion that we, after all, should get the best out of these books and live in peace, but there will be needed at least another decade or more for the people to make out that religion is nothing more than the interpretation of the words of God, something I mentioned in my first post on this topic.This is what I can say to conclude.God bless you all!

So do I. I downloaded the development version as someone on here suggested. But the point is Ive tried it and it doesnt work. I dont even consistently get the Japanese ProTalker talking. But there have even been times when Id hit the Translate key and get the actual Japanese and not the English Espeak atempting to pronounce it.

Speaking from a normal users point of view, all this immaturish trolling and flaiming seriously makes me consider wanting to leave the forum. I know the rest of the community isnt like this, and I happen to know steve, hes actually quite a grate guy. A we bit annoying at times, but ay, we all have our character falts, dont we? Now, please, can something please be done about this foolishness? I checked out the stress breaker game mentioned in this topic, and it is a nice little program for relieving stress, if you like guns etc. I have a suggestion though, would it be possible for you to implement something to skip the intro?

Perhaps it is because as an adult, you have a job prospect, or at least in theory. And lets face it, there is far more money to be obtained doing a job than developing audiogames. This is not an insult, its a fact. If you consistently sell 50 to 100 copies every month, then you might be able to compare it to a job. I honestly have no idea how many copies are being sold, but Im 99% sure its not 50 to 100 per month for more than a year straight.Add to that the fact the profits have to be divided among at least two people, and you essentially need to sell double.I think the issue might very well be the mentality in Japan versus that in other countries though. But I cant really comment on that either because I havent played any of those Japanese audiogames. Yes, Im probably the only one on this forum. *runs away and hides in a corner*

@assault_freak Sightless was the one ranting about online matches. :-) And you are right. I remember the first time playing mortal Kombat 1 on the super Nintendo. Using one and the same move to beat Goro. And not everyone wants to learn a lot of kombos. @slj I didnt lose the save data. because I didnt install the first patch. But lets face it. something can break on consoles too when the Publisher does a lot of bug fixing. Its only easier because there are not a lot of System configurations out there only one console.

What explorer tools are there one can use with git?I love git, but it did take a while for me to get all setup.I still have a cheetsheet I use that tell me all the little commands.Also, git does not count release binaries as part of your project. So what you can do is upload the code and binaries to github and you can also have either amazon or dropbox for sounds. (Or you could use releases for the sound zip files...I love the fact that you get a website, wikki and bug tracker forum on every project as well!

Getting a screen reader to play with a web application is actually very easy, this is exactly what the aria application roll was designed for, to mark an area of the page that should accept direct keyboard commands. It causes screen readers like NVDA and JAWS to automatically enter forms mode when you press enter on it or when the page automatically focuses it. The other good thing is that it doesnt stop things like live regions from working, so you can speak game messages through the screen reader if you want.

Right now Im very busy, but I will try to release the sidescroller controler this evening.In order to make a special Character, you have to:1. Create a new BGT file containing the actor class, like for any others, in the Actors directory.2. Make this actor inheriting from the standard class that you want (here, the Character actor)3. Thats all.Things can become tricky if you want to add new functionalities to actors (and thats why you want to create new actors, so read carefully  ) :- you can add new functions with no problem - but functions like: tick, gameStarted, parseObject, load and the constructor should (must!) always call the superclass same function first. It may end in strange behaviors if you dont!- some fu
 nctions like parseObject and load have to be overriden when you add new attributes (class variables) to your class. Each function is very precise and the format of what you write inside them should follow the one which can be found in any standard actor class)Same goes for the weapons. Do I understand that games take a long time to code, yes, do I understand that there was voiceacting involved, yes, but Im not sure how much was charged for the voice actors and actresses. I dont know if this is as good an idea as it sounds in my head, and Im kinda afraid to dig into the source with only a half-baked plan (and so little experience with C-style macros), so I thought Id bring it up here first.My research on the Sega Megadrive tells me that the graphics engine provides a few nifty things for free (or as free as working in assembly comes):- Two scrollable planes- Sprite support- the ability to assign z indexes arbitrarilyMy idea relies on it being possible to detect those scrollable planes scrolling. Im not sure if this is actually possible.I am pretty confident that the built-in sprite support does not have a standard means of tracking the locations of sprites, so any attempt at tracking objects will be far more difficult.Scroll-detection is not a perfect solution on its own. It wouldnt tell you the locations of enemies or obstacles or puzzle-pieces (this trick will be completel
 y useless on games like Columns or Mortal Kombat), but it does provide two opportunities (just off the top of my head):- in games with a lot of scrolling and jumping, scroll-detection would make it possible to guess whether or not the player is up against a wall, or if a jump succeeded, etc.- Scroll detection is effectively camera-tracking, and camera-tracking means we can build audio maps of individual games. This would still require work for every game, but itd be much easier than hacking complex machine code, so random people could make maps, rather than relying on one or two hackers.Id like object tracking and the ability to write custom scripts for individual games, but even without those, this sounds like it might make a few old games more playable.Yes/no/maybe/other?

Hello,Just a heads up, the new character Beowulf has been released, and is for free for a limited time. I have now layed throgh Elizas and Beowulfs stories, and well, I dont really wnat to spoil them for anyone, but they are really quite good. Eliza is probably my favorite story so far after Big Bands. Also, these stories offer up some new music too, especially Elizas, and unlockable stages which will allow you to hear the music in other modes such as training and arcade.

Hi.I also wish the developers were better to responding to our suggestions. If that continues, the game will be forgotten in a few months. Sorry, just saying.If the game worked on Windoes xp, a few of my friends here from Denmark, WHO have an old working computer running Windows xp would have bought the game for sure. But now, they have removed the game Again as soon as they realized it wont Work on Windows xp, and hopefully theyll still be interested if this XP issue ever get fixed.

Hi.Ive just signed up to www.reddit.comAnd think its awesome. Could it do with some access improvements? Sure, and Ive written to the admins to see what can be done. Hopefully theyll look at what I have to say.Its very nice and can be quite funny. If you havent checked it out, Id highly recommend doing it. Who knows, you might like a sub reddit, (kind of a forum within a huge huge forum,) that you like and that might make you want to sign up.

Since were on the topic of new characters, robofortune is also nearly completed and you can play with her in the endless beta. A somewhat interesting fact about beowulf as well. THat looping sound of the chair after you release it wasnt initially in the game. Mike added it after seal pointed out that its hard to figure out where the chair is after you release it since attacks can knock it around. This sound is active only if -UseClipboard is set. Thats just to show you how commited the developers are as far as accessibility goes.

Hello,It also interests me. In the japanese games, the sound design is not the best, yet there are a lot of sounds and details, each weapon and such sounds a bit different or even acts different. There are also a lot of 8 bit sounds and bleeps, or sounds that dont sound too flashy. Ye the contnet in the Japanese games is gigantic.Over here in the west, a lot of games use what I like to call a flashy nature. Lets take, for instance, Perilous Hearts, vs, lets say, Bk. In perilous hearts the music fades in to the level and there is professional narration, which leads me to believe that the full version would have offered professional acting. The soundd design is quite realistic in nature, or at least, like a movie would sound. Yet I hear people say that the gaemplay itself wasnt realistic.In the Bokurano Daiboukenn series, while the game isnt professionally narrated, the games have this huge file size. Bokurano Daiboukenn 3 was around 3
 90 mb on launch day, and it sort of shows: there must be at least four or five hours of music in that one game. Every level has its own theme, some are repeated themes from the previous games, and it offers a lot of sound design as well, but its more like a cartoon. To be honest though, I really like both Perilous Hearts and Bokurano Daiboukenn, but the question is indeed coming to my mind, what causes these games to have so much content. Wy are the weston devs more flashy or movie like, yet the japanese more cartoon like, but even then offer up more content?

@sam, I think if you do that, you could maybe add a cumpus, which can tell you where directions are, but it would just say north is to the left, or position a sound at that angle, or whatever so you have to keep turning and using the cumpus to figure out where true north is.

Gaining a title using loot points lets you stay HC or stay normal, whichever you currently are. You can switch between HC and normal using the factory door method, as has been true for some time now, but you no longer need to do so to gain titles. Some people hare choosing to remain HC, others are choosing to remain normal. Now, either way, everyone can play in the mode they prefer and gain titles in that mode.

I believe in the manual there is a section on what to do if you need a new registration key for the game, although I cant be sure sinse I dont have Q9 installed on this computer so cant check specifically.I will say though that Q9 registration is particularly nice in that it is comuter none specific. I dont know if you get a limited number of registrations or what, but I did like the fact I could install on more than one machine with no hassle.

@Slj, as I said, those were the things that interested me too, lack of pvp and lots of exploring. Ive not heard anything else about the games further development outside this topic from last year, but knowing Dentin things are probably still chugging along and well hear all about it when its ready. @hhurstseth405, I dont know what Dentin plans for classes in the game or in fact if he plans any at all. Even if he id I would hope he has a similar model to alter where your classes are more like priorities, so you always have choice in what you do.If you want to play a computer hacker, you should try wayfar144, its got lots of things to hack, various hacker skills and even a way of finishing a turn aroun the game as the hacker profession. You can find alien artifacts and lost datachips in the wilderness to hack, and even hack into vehicles and bases by hacking the doors entry codes though you nee to be careful and pur
 chice good gear or otherwise the security of whatever your hacking might zap you with electricity. There is the potential to hack into someone elses vehicle or building and steal it, though Wayfar1444 is one of those odd games where pvp exists, but doesnt seem to be practiced too much.

Exactly, SLJ. We havent heard anything in a while since he had trouble with his enemy class, which has been going on for at least, 2 months now. Hes too busy telling other people that they will fail and getting their topics deleted to fix the shortcomings of his own projects, and thats the problem. But since I know I have no right to tell people theyll fail, even though I actually do have projects out and chrystal clear evidence of another in progress, I can only wish you luck on this project Ethin, even if its not working out right now. In fact, I hope it goes very well for you and you get a lot of players, because again, I have better things to do than cut people down so I can feel high and mighty.

@Tom, Ive not actually seen much of the original transformers cartoon for years, Ive borrowed the od episode and of course the 1986 film from friends, but Ive never sort of sat down and watched it end to end as an adult. I will admit though, while I did enjoy transformers, at the time it was always more my brothers thing than mine so I probably didnt pay it as much mind as something like Heman, the original Dungeons and Dragons or ghost busters, not to mention the Ninja turtles. I do remember though that transformers did have a rather good ongoing story and indeed a story that finally ended, indeed whenever we used to rent videos a favourite of mine was the last couple of episodes with the head masters and target masters which finished with Prime being resurrected, the autobots reclaiming Cybertron, and while the Decepticons werent actually destroyed they did fly off into space in a fairly final manner. that was pretty rare for a long running ca
 rtoon series to have that sort of ending. I have the first couple of series of Heman on dvd, I should really pick up the rest, also Ive not seen She-ra for years! I did borrow thundercats from a friend recently though and noticed the same thing, the plot/action ratio was pretty good, even if the plots werent always the most astounding, though interestingly enough the dungeons and Dragons animated series which I got recently has astoundingly! well written dialogue and characters. I can actually see why its stood the test of time so well. Science fantasy type settings werent uncommon in the 80s though, as a consequence of starwars I suppose, an this is one reason I personally have always been equally happy with a fantastical setting as an ultra scientific one. One of my favourite old films, flight of Dragons (partly for the music), I love precisely for its theme of the conflict of science and magic, (it has been a pain to find but I do
  now have it on v).Another film Ive always been trying to get hold of is an animated film called starchaser, legend of Orin, similar in a lot of ways to starwars but animated (and quite grim in parts). I remember it particularly well not just because of its story, shocking bits and characters the main characters first girl friend is literally strangle to death by the bad guy very shortly into the film after his grand father has already been laser whipped to death by a robot, it also featured robot pirates who skin humans and wear the skins. Also it was the film my brother and I happene to be watching when my mum was in hospital extremely ill, so it has that traumatic association as well.Another thing I realized recently is that I actually always found it easier to see those 80s animated programs. I dont know whether it was because the hand drawn animation back then was far simpler than the cg sort thats going on now, but it is someth
 ing I always notice when I watch things from that time, or for that matter animated disneyes from the nineties. Btw, one amusing thing I also found out when looking up facts about Heman and She-ra online, is that She-ra herself in the series was actually a much more positive female character than the toy versions of her were. I always thought it was odd that while I had action figures of several She-ra characters such as Hordac and several of his minians like Leach, Grislor and the Hoard robots, I never had any of She-ra or pandora, after all I id have action figure versions of some of the Heman female cast like Teela and Evilin. Apparently this was because for some od reason, mattel decided to release the She-ra female characters under their Barby doll line, rather than their masters of the universe action figure line. This meant redressing she-mra complete with hair, giving her a magic wand instead of her sword of power, and rewriting her plot to have a more sort of 
 snow while type who is the fairest rivalry with Shadow Weaver, who in the doll line was presented as a wicked queen rather than Hordaks evil black magician henchwoman as she was in the series . Oh, and as another random fact, sinse I was probably 8 and under when I first watched heman (I have clear memories of watching it at the age of four or five before I lost most of my vision, though I did also watch it after this), as my mothers name is Lynn, I always thought the characters name was evil lynn, (two words), and sometimes referd to my mum as evil lynn for a joke.

Okay, the rhythm heaven feaver packs have just been uploaded.The one thats just called rhythm heaven feaver is the japanese version, so if you want english lyrics, please download the english version.I did it this way because the quality of the english vocal songs isnt as good as the originals.I have to apologise in advance for the horid quality of dreams of our genoration in english as it came from more than one source.I did manage to salvage it by using a lets play video and mixing it with the version from khinsider.I will be fixing it at some point.With respect to crashmaster, or whom ever did the original pack, I did include all the songs from the original pack, just fixed right.They arent in the same order, but they are all their.Also, I did include a few of the post-credits remixes because theyre so great, just saying...Enjoy, and stay tuned for my final vg-related pack, elite beat agents!

There are no classes. Its not a traditional mush or moo - you dont just control a single character. Your account is kinda like a small company that can buy and sell ships, and have crew members that you can train and assign to ships.Some of the more recent updates were to add basic starports and ship cargo/inventory. Im currently working on ship configurations and hull types at the moment, which is needed to allow for things like engine upgrades and extra cargo pods.

Well, as I understand Ethins posts at the beginning of this topic, he know exactly how it all should be coded etc. I might have misunderstood something, but the way things are written, it sounds like this game is quite easy to make, since Ethin is a real programmer, and as he says, all what he needs to learn in BGT is just peace of cake for him. Compared to full 3D and online games, this game sounds quite easy to make. So for all those reasons, I would like to know how far this project is, since that wouldnt be a real challenge for a real programmer.

How do people normally get text files from bookshare so the punctuation is decent? I downloaded _javascript_ the good parts and here is what the hello world example looks like:documentddwritelngg`Hello, world!`); I believe it is supposed to be:document.write(Hello, world!); or something like that, but Im not 100% sure.What I do is download the brf file and open it in dbt, then press ctrl+T and translate it into text and then copy and paste that into a text file. I agree entirely. In this game most of the ships go down and, if not, you have to increase your y coordinate to get to and shoot them, at least that was how Trupinum 2.0 worked. As youll see on my next blog post (if you read that), there will be a game with an object that rushes down at the player, and also this game requires a lot of what a game such as trupinum would need--coordinate comparing, hitting an object rushing down at you ETC... and that was able to be coded in 5 minutes. Ethin has given me a copy of the code, but that was a month or two ago and from what I saw, though the menu looked quite promising, I tried to play and enemies... well didnt do anything and I guess thats his trouble. In theory, it wreally shouldnt be so hard. The beginner level, at least, should take two hours to code at maximum. Literally the hardest thing Im dealing with in my game, though not as complex as trupinum, is finding sounds.

I am not saying much against ethin since I am done with him.But this and well other posts on the forum and other stuff is why after after loads of drama and attempts to just let it go, well thats why he is not in reality software anymore.It was able to shrug his issues for ages but it got to a point that it was sort of us or him and things have gone much better after he is gone.Its also why I havnt answered to many of his topics.Every time whatever happens it comes to a flame war and at the end of that its the other person that is in trouble most of the time.Basically he talks a lot of trash all the time which I dont care since we dont have to deal with him directly.When he left we cleared all his projects from the folder at least I think we did and I know we are moving to clear quite a few things of his from our games to that didnt make sence.He did help with the password system and he did help a lot with dea

Some help with netflix please.

Hi.Netflix is great, movies, documentaries, serieses, everything you could want to watch.But the iphone app is quite confusing to me.I understand how two navigate movies, but theres to unlabled buttons which i assume leads to menus.Ive wanted to update my account, but cant see how to do it using netflix ios app.Ive also tried netflix on windows using firefox with NVDA. The issue is when i get to my name the, brad graphic and press enter or space, or try to rout the kersers, NVDA jumps me strate to the desktop.Any help would be great. I like netflix and the fact theyre putting audio description into there programs now. Its great, but if I cant sign up or sign out then thered be no point in me geting the program and that would be sad since I do want to get it if I can.

But the truth is, even those players who know a lot of combos and are fighting game players day in and day out... if they find a trick that works against you, theyll keep using it. Its the same in real martial arts sparring... if you leave your head exposed to punches, I am going to keep targetting your head until you learn to defend against it or until you are knocked out. Fighting games are the same. A lot of people complaining about cheap tactics just need to learn a trick to beat them, unless those tactics are actually broken mechanics or the fault of the game engine.

Hmm.Well since I started at the end of the time when dos and windows were getting on stream I have a unique advantage since I saw the change.The first lot of games that came out were the ones by pcs games.I wont list a particular game but basically games if they had sound were pc speaker based.Yes there were a few that played on a sound card and while pcsgames used a wav player to play games over all cards including pc speaker the technology to do this was not new.However its fair to say at least for the pc user most games came from the speaker.The next in the list would have to be shades of doom or was it lonewolf or trek 2000 I am not sure.At any rate trek2k and lonewolf were ported from dos to windows.Shades of doom was one of the first to use directx technology.Next jim kitchens games.These were dos but some became part of windows, and used the sound card to play wavs and were one of the first lots of games on s
 tream.The next I guess would be superliam followed by mush z.And that leaves 5 places.I guess the next would be the rich destino games.True they are just console games with some sfx and came later in the piece but they are important because of the fact they were just dos before and not console apps.The next was just released this week and I am supprised not mentioned.based on daum dosbox the talking dosbox emulator can play quite a few games.So far I have been unsuccessfull with adventure game toolkits but I havnt tried anything else.The next is ren py.I know this has been out for a while and yes I am fully aware that anything before 2014 may or may not be accessable but it is accessable non the less.Out of this 2 authors of recent game series I wrote to based on access actually wanted to make changes one already has.Sadly another cant but thats ok.My next I guess would be a duel thing or is it
  a triple?game books, choiceofgames ffproject and chooseyourstory.ffproject for its engine that does all the dice roles for you.Choiceofgames for reasonable good quality and chooseyourstory for a general mmuck round.and that leaves 3.Um this is quite hard.I guess bsc games needs a mention because bar the few that brought the 70 dollar game and crack for it unless you trade stuff for it or something its unlikely anyone will play them again showed a more simple time before the good stuff came up.All in play next for there game whitch started all the multiplayer card games, we have clients by Quentin c and rsgames for example.The next would be deathmatch and deathmatch new beginning for being the first in their own right.deathmatch new beginning is the first audio based mud and deathmatch is one of the first to use true 3d sounds on 2d devices.However since I work for reality software I dont know if its fair to list the 
 game since I am clearly biased towards what I work for.I guess psychostrike is something to add to the list.Heck I didnt number this list so I may as well continue a bit over.Tactical battle would be my next changer though we had soundrts before it its still a good strategy game with moddability at its core.Then there is beatstar basically a bopit style game but you can basically emulate any machine with the right packs.I can play sonic2 and play as if I am at a sega unit.Or I can play a german pack or other pack.There is the entombed rpg to.Japanese games in general in fact audiogames in other languages making it onto the English scene even though people didnt speak the language they still want to play.It would be interesting to see what the history of Japanese audiogaming was because they clearly kicked our asses in the complex nature of the games and in some cases size of the games and all for free and all with goo
 d sound etc.Well there is my rambling list of sorts.

Ah, glad you liked the thought. One thing Ive found in several games (most recently with an economic sim), is it is much more fun dealing with unpredictable things and making judgements than just coldly running the stats, plus of course it gives a far better idea that the characters your managing in the game on your crew are real people, and not just extra adds to your main stats that cost a certain amount, or produce a set amount or are just canon fodder to throw at your enemies and replace each time they go down. A dark room made this point rather nicely, given that at the start of the game you build huts to attract setlers who constantly produce more resources such as wood and animal pelts and are listed as x number of villagers, Then, rather abruptly when youve built a couple of huts the x number of villagers suddenly changes to X number of slaves along with a few short but affective messages about the people working
 . Apparently some players put the game down at that point, I personally found it a rather clever one (and an important lesson for real life in terms of turning people into rore statistics).Its odd, you can simulate quite complex behaviours with interactions of very few stats in any system that has a limited time aspect, the choiceofgames with their distinct choices and percentile stats show that, but I dont know why more games involving any style of management do it.Either way, if this sort of thing makes it into stellar aeon Ill be very pleased, and if not,  well hay I can just pretend im Captain Picard and so all my crew think Im awsome anyway! .

To be honest that soundtrack has been the same sound clips that existed in 1.0.While I wont go straight out and say its a bunch of crap, I was hoping by now we could at least have a different music for each level of the game.I have the doomsday soundtracks here which are recreations of the idsoftware games I also have the full decent and quake1 soundtracks.if there was a way to change all music and such to play per level and if I could play whatever was needed Id do it I have enough music for it.

Well I tried to run cosmoserve an agt game I liked to play.After mounting my old computer backup games drive.in jaws and flipper the game didnt even echo anything back.in asap, the game echoed half of its info but it didnt read instructions intros, the look function and little on the screen bar my location.asap also starts rather to fast for my liking.I also know its early stages but to be honest if this is going to do this I much prefur my x86 terminal, I dont have all the functions of dos but at least I can play games sort of.keep working on it though

yep Crash, that about sums it up, especially the part where Ethin mostly gets away with everything he does. You see, the problem is that Ethin does a lot of persuading and victemising, and I think the mods fall for that in most cases which is why Ethin rarely ever receives modderation warnings.

@Assault,Point taken. But my main points are still valid:1. U.S. devs claim that they are unable to make a game rich in content and quality, either with or without professional sounds, due to financial or manpower constraints. Both of the BK titles as well as SR completely disprove that claim.2. Those titles could have been sold at mainstream prices, and I guarantee that people would have happily forked over the money for them, yet all of them are available for free.3. If Western devs here in the States would focus on content and gameplay aspects, I can guarantee that people would have no problem paying for copies of their titles.I would think that it would be sort of embarrassing for developers here to assert claims of financial constraints or lack of manpower to explain their products lackluster gameplay quality and content, only then to be shown by a child how its done with a one-man crew and no money
 . Surely devs here who are trying to use this as a job have enough common sense to realize that if their game is rich in quality and content, more people are going to buy them, correct?

Did you remember to tell AGT to send output to the BIOS? I think theres a /b switch you need to give to the executable to get it to do that. Otherwise it writes directly to screen memory, which in my experience never worked 100% with screen readers, and was mostly silent without setting up monitored windows.
