Re: Need some help on English Language grammar

English infinitives are not like Latin or French infinitives, no matter how much Romance Linguists try to make them so. But since you'll probably be writing for a Romance linguist's benefit..."When you see this scene, all you need to do is to not scream."This is actually the best version, but to explain why, let's look at the others:"When you see this scene, all you need to do is not to scream."- This looks more grammatically correct, but it actually sounds weird, and the reason is that, if it is written this way, it's actually saying"There is something that is all you need to do, and screaming is not it."And that sort of emphasis comes across as odd the other way.As for the last option:"When you see this scene, all you need to do is not scream."This one sounds almost indistinguishable from the original. I'd say which of the two is more correct, or
what either emphasizes, depends more on the specific dialect or setting. The last comes across as something you'd find on the internet, while the first sounds like something that would have been more normal in the 20th century.I haven't thought about negation and infinitives this much before, but these examples actually seem to help clarify some things.Having a multi-word infinitive makes English grammar weird. "to not scream" could be considered its own verb, whereas not to scream modifies "to scream".I've never delved deeply into the infinitive-splitting debate, because it always sounds really, really pedantic. But comparing your three examples makes me want to go ask someone who studied linguistics specifically.

I need that one which is gramatically better, and I think the second option is so far. I know that the position of Not in the sentences modifies the meaning of all the sentence, or the meaning of the main clause, or the subordinate clause. Anyway thank you for your answer. I will also ask an old English teacher here.

Anyways it was an easy fix as well as some others that were

Im working doing stuff like that for the roller too.I'm also trying to add the item/gold name for the items that drop on the combat ready screen and loot screen.I am still trying to figure out how to have the combat log auto read. ive played all the way through with monk with and without voiceover on and so far its a bit too powerful so i need to tweak it a tiny bit. Im guessing I will play one more time through with voiceover and see if anything else jumps out at me. Still hoping to submit the update by monday.

Hi,these fixes sound nice! I downloaded battle arena two days ago and played a bit. It works quite well as it is though a bit of searching around the screen is needed, but with the fixes it will be really great!Yes, hp percentage would be really helpful in fights. I think I found the progress bar when I was playing, but it was quite a bit of searching again, especially with all these unlabeled buttons on the screen.Btw, the inventory and crafting screens are quite full of stuff now too. All these zeros can be quite much if searching for an item of materials on the screen. Could you fix that too? I think if you played the game with VO on you know what I mean. And sorry if this came up already, I did read the topic but can't remember all the reported problems right now.

Re: Monthly chat June 2015

Well hello there, although I'm a bit late in the conversation.I never join these kinds of conversations because my life is rather uneventful, and yes, I never know when a world like that has 1 or 2 l in it.It seems to me that even though my writing on this forum and everywhere on the internet is rather horrifyingly terrible I can still make my life seem somewhat interesting. What have I been doing this month? Well, I finnished second year of bla bla bla lalala school, which in swedish translates to Gymnasium but actually, has nothing to do with the english version of a gymnasium Ever since that, well there've been Solstis (is that today?), and a lot of game playing, particularly Alter Aeon, but I won't tell you about Alter even though I c
ould rant about it forever (trust me I've been doing this to poor victims on Skype lately, who, fortunately for me, also were interested in Alter )Next friday I'm going sailing on Krokholmen which I'm sure you've heard me talk about before, it's gonna be totally awesome. I stay there til July 12th or something, I don't really want to know when I get home again The two last books I read, although actually none this month sadly, was the transformation (is it called that?) by Frans Kafka, while, even though for one of my classes was totally amazing. I had to proceed that with an analysis (I mangled that word). My whole "analysis" evolved around the question "can you interpret the novel as a discription of the identity-seaking as a teena
ger?". It was rather fun both reading and writing it, well, reading the book and writing the analysis, haw. No one in my class other than me liked the book though, but then again, I enjoy reading a lot of odd literature (odd for some people). I'll gladly discuss the book further if anyone else has read it.The second one was a Dance with Dragons by George R R martin, which left me hungering for more of a song of ice and fire. Unfortunately, the copy I got was broken, so some chapters got cut in the end which left me going "wtf?" sometimes when talking about the series.Anyway, a song of ice and fire (starting with game of thrones) is definitely worth reading. It is the best fantacy series I have ever indulged myself in (although it's pretty much the only fantacy I've read except for Harry Potter and Arragon, yes, I didn't go to deep into Tolkien's work).A song of ice and fire has everything for everyone over the age of 1
5 The world building is okay, and so is the plot and the movement of the book. Though, where it really shines like nothing else (fantacy or not) is the characters. It's not only a question of character depth and backround story, but the character developement is very realistic from a psychological perspective.Another thing I like with the series is how there's no clear antagonist or protagonist (although I've always felt more for the Stark family). The third thing that makes me love this series (hurrying because dinner is served) ... is the mystery surrounding the usage of magic and even a questioning what magic really is. In game of thrones you won't see lightning bolts / fireballs in combat. Magic is a suttle thing here, I love how it's presented.Anyway dinner, and I'm starving.

Re: can someone please teach me how to code in pb and bgt?

I'm trying to learn C#, but I've always sucked at coding. I do like it so far though. And I don't want to come off as rude or insulting about BGT, but i think the arrays and dictionaries are kind of inflexible compared to Lua and Python. Lua's a very flexible scripting language, where the arrays, (called tables in Lua), can be any size and don't have to have their size stated at creation. Tables in Lua can also hold more than one type of variable. And variables can hold any data type Python is good too, but I'm not a fan of the indenting for if statements and loops and such. I find I easily keep track of what's going on if there are {} instead of indents. And I'm vary new to C#, but am liking it so far. And I'm loving visual studio 2015 community. It's an awesome editor and it has this thing called Intellisense, where it helps you with build in functions, or functions from any lib. For example, if I want to print a line to the cons
ole, it's Console.WriteLine. Well, when i type con, a list below my typing is populating with stuff, and if console is the first option, you just hit enter on it then you do a .wri, and options come up. It even reads your own code, if you do classes, it'll allow you to access the functions inside them when you create an instance down the line, Intellisense will automatically show you the options of stuff you've done. It's really nice. Also, for the sighties, there are red squiggly lines that come up similar to spell checkers. When you see one on an entire line, you fucked up somewhere and you should check that line, or the line above it, but if its at the end of the line only, you probably just forgot a semi colon. I also like the way in which you can add values of variables into strings. You don't need to concatenate the strings. for example, in BGT, you could do.string name=Yer mom
int age=45
alert("Yo", + name + "is " + age + " years old.");In C#, It's a bit different, you use a place holder, now i must admit I've only tested it with one variable per print thingy, I don't know if you increase in number or do more of them, but it would look like this.string name = "Bob";
Console.WriteLine("Hi there, my name is {0}, nice to meet you"., name); So you see, you don't have to break out of your string, and piece them together, you can simply use the placeholder, the comma then the variable name just takes that placeholder and replaces it with a value.Oh, and BTW, VS is a great IDE, it supports endless different stuff, including python, actually.

2015-06-21 Thread AudioGames . net Forum — Off-topic room : brad via Audiogames-reflector

I have some questions and a kind of rant to christians on this site.

Hi.I technically am a christian because I was baptized when i was a kid, well my family say we are chirch of England. I'm not actually sure what that means. But I don't consider myself a christian, I can't and this is why. I cannot put one religion or belief over another. I have heard and felt things. I respect Jesus as a being who died in that time to show people lessons and stuff like that. But I cannot say that Jesus is the son of God. I can't. it would be wrong of me and would make me fit into one box and I don't want to fit into one box. Do you see? I don't wanna be marked as a christian because that means that I  cannot say that Allah and other names for god are correct. I cannot say that All the other belief systems out there are correct. Because I'll be tracked in one box and there would be no way out. I'd say Jesus is the son of god and be done with it. Perhaps this is god showing me now that writing this stuff is
okay and saying it okay, because I've wanted to ask  Christians and other religious people this for so long. Why do it? Why follow one man or being who did x y z for a bunch of people? what's the reason for doing that? There's so many religions, so many beliefs, so many stories, so many wonderful lovely stories of people doing so much good and so much charity work and so on, because they believe what they're doing is right, and they're all going to go to hell just because one god decided, hey, I'm gonna make this place of pain and anyone who doesn't follow me is going to be chucked into that place because I'm a mean bastard. I'm sorry but that's how it seems to me. how can people follow a god or being like that? a being who would make people go into this painful place?Hey... I just had an idea... Let's see if this makes sense... right so, evil and good are words that human beings have made for feelings, right? so ev
il and good don't actually exist, if you think about it. Sure there's horrible people out there but there is always, always! a reason for what they do. So, if evil and good does not exist, then we must think of these things; 1. either god doesn't exist, because god is "loving" and loving is good and good does not exist. or 2. hell does not exist because hell is bad and bad is evil and evil does not exist. So if good and evil don't actually exist, then how can this being called god put people into this place called hell? I think hell is a making from the human mind or human spirit. I doubt god puts you there. I  think when you die you leave your body but you create what is next. One more thing. Why did Christians steel pagan holidays and make them there own? Do you think Jesus would be happy with that? Christians stole pagan holidays and renamed them, and said a b c is bad and pagans are bad or practice witch craft, how the hell do they no? If
this "witch craft" which by the way is just another use of energy is so bad, why did this god being create it then? but bad does not exist because evil does not exist, so Christians, and anyone for that matter cannot call action a bad and action b good.I'm sorry if I offend, I'm just interesting in why people would follow someone like this. Perhaps it's more following the being and less the book slash beliefs in these times. Also I'm only going off of Christians I've spoke to and would not say that all followers of Christ are like this, how could I? I've not met all of them.

Re: Need some help on English Language grammar

@4, @5, point taken. And yes, I'm a native speaker, and English to me is really imprecise according to the limited language learning I've attempted... and failed, to do in the past. Yes, if you want to be able to write essays, you are going to have to study grammar, What I was saying before was meant if you're just learning the language just for something to do, or if you want to visit an English speaking country. Because when you learn languages, the courses teach you how old people talk, and its not the same as the majority of people speaking would take from you. Everyone these days uses slang, yep, yup, ain't, gotta, wanna and that's just the tip of the ice burg. I learned that real quick when i was trying to learn Spanish and people were like, why are you talking like my grandma... heh. Plus, it's really easy to spot a foreign speaker of English do to the way they right, just because it doesn't sound right. Both me and my dad nearly failed ou
r English classes when we were in school.

Their were some quite loopy episodes of tos, but the troubles with tribbles and this side of paradise, among the doomsday machine, the deadly years, and the city on the edge of forever are sirtenly good ones. The red shirts thing dephanatly continues on throughout the series, frankly its amazing their are any left as so menny of them get killed off, at least 5, maybe 6 in the episode obsession alone. Their are of course a few episodes of tos which are not my favorite, but which I tend to come back too, the 2 episodes dealing with harcourt fenton mud are sort of enjoyable for good laughs, and the only episode i've ever payed some attention too in season 3 with the defiant.
I rather liked the idea of the tholions, and do wunder from time to time what happened to them as they show up once in tos, and 2 times during enterprise, but you never here from them after that.

Re: suggestions for new powerful laptop

I'm highly amused that Smooth Gunner specifically mentioned he didn't want a Dell, and, sure enough, the two suggestions that follow contain Dells. My girlfriend has a Toshiba Satellite that seems pretty powerful and durable. Whatever you do though, and assuming you have the budget for it, get a laptop with an SSD. It's less heat, fewer moving parts, and lower power consumption.Sony's are pretty good, but they're so expensive for the configuration. What I would actually do is go on Amazon or Newegg, plug in the features you want in their filtering system, then look at any models that interest you, checking on reviews and such.If you want it for gaming, I wouldn't get a smaller laptop either. Physics would suggest that a smaller laptop has less room for heat distribution, so stick with a 15.4 inch screen or larger. I'm sure you would be fine with a 13 inch laptop, but for longevity's sake with respect to gaming, bigger mig
 ht be better.Kai

Then, I think that's it about this question. However, speaking about chat voice here, how ard would it be? Hi, everyone. What I find cool in a game, (if they're not arcade of course, because there's another situation), are the voice acting, the plot and the mecanics. In my opinion, the voice acting is very important for the blind, like are the grafics for the sighted people. For me, the voice acting with a great plot makes me feel the story 100%, and if there are also some good game mecanics and puzzles to solve, I'll definitely enjoy it.A recently  well made game  in my view, is Angelgift. Yes, the game itself maybe is a bit short, but the plot, the concept and the voice acting is interesting, and make you feel the Christmas admosfere.

2015-06-21 Thread AudioGames . net Forum — Off-topic room : Thunderfist799 via Audiogames-reflector

Re: I have some questions and a kind of rant to christians on this site.

Hi Brad,I can't answer Christianity for you, but I can answer one question. Why follow a religion? I can only answer this from an Islamic point of view, but what I'm going to say can apply to most religions, I think. Now the thing with Abrahamic religions is that God is the ultimate power. He decides everything. He knows all. He is perfect. Therefore we should submit to him. This is a chance to get closer to God - Allah. Had he wanted, he could have subjected us to enslavement. We would have been in misery then. But out of his gracious kindness, he spared us. Since Allah is so high, we will never be able to understand him truly. Secondly, we love God Allah. A for no reason, and B because he has done so much for us. For example, in Islam, when you're a baby, you vommit. Your head moves. The islamic explanation for this is that an angel moves the head of a little Baby. The Baby is in the presence of a loving, smiling angel! Thirdly, because we fear him All
ah. We fear his wrath, because it is severe. Those natural disasters are caused by him "he ccreated life and death, that he may try which one of you is best in deed." If we fail Allah's explanations, tomorrow is hell for us. The last reason is because of augh. After all, by his permission, I can write what I'm writing! By his permission, birds can fly! You can eat! He brings night and day! He is the creater of the unseen and the seen, the winds, the ocean, your spouse - if you have one, that is. The creater of love i.e. your most intimit moments. He is the creater of your spouses comfort, when your sad and she or he hugs you and whispers nothings's in your ear, that's all by his utter power. There are other social factors why people choose to follow a religion. For example, the family are Jewish, therefore the child is Jewish. Why do people go to hell?I can only say this on islam. In Islam, not every Muslim will go to heaven. Some will go to
hell and then go to heaven. For example, one who believed in the religion didn't worship. Other people, who killed, stole, and committed all kinds of evil deeds will abide in hell forever. This is because killing is such a great sin. For example, were I to kill you, it would be as though I killed the whole of mankind. Why should a person that never repented go to heaven?Regarding the disbelieving point. Now when I say this, I want to make it chrystal clear that I'm not trying to enforce what my religion is saying. I'm just practicing it. Allah says "your duty only is to convey the message."Disbelief would send someone to hell because you haven't submitted yourself to your Lord. After everything he did for you, after having given you what anyone could want for - life and a pleasureable life without problems after death, after having given you food, clothes, parents, cibblings, Wives, Husbands, etc, this is what you'd do to him? By disbe
lieving, you're essencially slapping God in the face. You're saying "buggger off. I don't care about you. Whatever, your faivours." You are unintentionally mocking God - Allah. So it stands to reason that one should be punnished for such disobedience. Also remember that logic isn't the answer to everything. You can never understand a religion if your heart is not open to it. Through the heart, can you only logicly understand it, i.e. why the signs of God's existence makes sense.Hope this helps.

Re: Entombed

Links to the group can be found on the website. 1.2K is the latest stable version, there is another version using different technologies which fixes several bugs but I don't have a link to the setup file for that as it needed different components and only occasionally ran, I'd however still recommend running the update file from the  Driftwood games website. As to the group, if you check the database page it has plenty of info. I will say Entombed isn't typical of audiogames in terms of bugs, they mostly exist because the game was built in a slightly haphazard way with new things being constantly added, most audiogames just get planned, built and finished like anything else which is one reason Entombed ii is being written from the ground up to be far more stable, not to mention customizable with mods so that new content can be added easily, though we're still very much in the early alpha stages with it.

Re: Swamp, zombie FPS by Aprone

Revan and Fedai, the answer to your question is that the game has changed over the past 4 years.Way back when Swamp was very new, players could get to all maps and find all guns in very little time.  Now players have to spend more time to find them all.  It is not an injustice to today's players, it is just because the game has changed a lot. When warehouse missions were added, players were able to level up faster than the people who had to do it without warehouse missions.  The game changed, so things worked differently. When hardcore mode was added, some players converted their level 150 characters while others had to face the harder decision to convert their level 800 characters.  This was not meant to be unfair to people who had been leveling long before the hardcore feature was added.  It was simply something being changed in the game, as the game continued to grow. When everyone was allowed to give items to other players
, it seemed unfair to some players who had worked to own forts.  Forts had been the only way to give items to other players.  This was not meant to be an injustice to players who owned forts, and that is why forts changed and gained new benefits.A character who leveled up to 100 when Swamp was only 6 months old, can not be compared to a character who levels up to 100 now.  At each stage where the game was changed, the entire experience changed along with it.  Yes it is easier for a player to reach 2000 now than it ever was in the past, but that is also because there are so many more ways to do it.  There is also a large amount of team work that was not available in the past. The clans who own forts right now, work in shifts day and night to defend them and to run missions to keep them stocked with food.  Their efforts do indeed deserve to be rewarded with experience.  Yes it is true that they are gaining experience extremely fast, but
that is because they are successfully holding almost all of the forts!  To limit or punish them would be the same as punishing people who are skilled enough to do super hard missions all day.  If you are good enough to do them, you are also earning the reward.I am always working to improve the game's balance, and fort rewards are no different.  The next version of Swamp has been being worked on for a while now, and that is something I am adjusting.  Even after it is adjusted, characters of today will still be different than characters of a year ago, or 2, or 4.

Re: Announcing release of Yellowbonnet from Valiant Galaxy Associates

One good thing about Yellowbonnet is it manages to handle the western content very nicely and still keep some sense of fun (drunken cowboys), without turning the hole thing into a completely cartoon farse as definitely happened in Grizly gulch and to a certain extent with the various encarnations of Silver dollar as well. I do like the fact the characters in the game have some history and presence to them and the town has a little potted history rather than just playing on western parodies and cliches, it makes the game feel more like an actual adventure game. If your interested in the Western genre though, definitely! check out the choiceofgames title tinstar, I've finally started playing and I really! like, though of course that's a text game rather than an audio game.

There isn't a translation, but you can learn Japanese or use instant translate to translate the game. You will need NVDA, pro talker, and a clipboard reading program to read the game.

Re: I have some questions and a kind of rant to christians on this site.

@Brad, there are several answers. First, not all christians believe in hell, or believe exclusively that Jesus is the only path to ggod, many hold that if god is love, any act done with love and faith in God is an act of faith, irrispective of what name you give that God. Yes, there are christians who place huge emphasis on hell and sin, but this is by no means all christians, indeed right from origen's teachings in the 5th century some christians believe that as you said "hell" is a state the human mind puts themselves into and that there is always redemption if it is sought. it sounds like you've only been associating with and hearing from the hell fire and bloody damnation, our way or the highway sort of Christians, but that is by no means all that there is. Speaking of Islam, a Muslim chap I talked to last year said something which I  found fascinating. He said that the moral and immoral actions were very simple to follow, but unde
rstanding God or god's teachings or god's plan for humanity was not, and that God, (or ala), was so much beyond human understanding you could spend your life questing for what Alla's truth was and find only a small part. That level of meditation, of questioning, of seaking through faith is something I have a great deal of respect for, and something I'd encourage anyone who actually is interested in developing an understanding of, and relationship with God to pursue, not just following on like a robot with the teachings of a few individuals, (particularly when, as is unfortunately too often the case with a lot of hte hell fire and damnation brigade), those individuals have a rather narrow ant appresive perspective.

Re: The races of startrek

@Danny, I think the tholiams turned up in other books and things, I know in one of the very few trek books I read (I think it was bendetta by peter David), they appeared, but they didn't appear in the series again. Then again this happens with lots of races in startrek, we see them for an episode and then they vanish.Tos I just can't take seriously. it has the odd nice idea, but the characters, the way they go about things and the hole ethos of the show with women in miniskirts, pretty young yomen who basically cook, Kirk's distinctly unique blend of diplomacy, it's just all a bit over the top hence why i use the term "campy" to describe it, heck the first Mud episode is essentially all about pimping! . There are some interesting stories, albiet some like the roman one or the one where Kirk finds the survivers of a cold war are
just loopy, but it's the hole style of the thing that makes it hard to take seriously to me, where as next gen and ds9 have much more well rounded characters and a more adult style of storytelling (even if the first few seasons of Tng do poor on the moralizing and the treakle factor a little too much. @Blindncool, I'd not recommend Voyager, especially if you like the awesome Borg of Tng. I was really interested to see the Borg in Voyager but they are then made utterly and completely useless and disposable, plus 7 of 9 was just ridiculous and quite irritating with her bloody nanno probes used to solve everything! :d. I'd highly recommend Ds9 though especially if you like the Klingons, sinse all the klingon politics and setup in Tng, the conflicts with the house of Duras and the high council's mirky dealings all come to a head in Ds9 and actually resolve really well. We also see a lot more of Klingon culture, especially from Worf, there is an episode a
bout the sword of Kalez for example, and the Klingon's conflict in the war with the dominian from the gamma quadrent is genuinely an interesting story with actual consequences rather than just meeting a race and moving on to the next plannet as happened previously in all of the trek series.

Re: Monthly chat June 2015

@Treugamer, agreed on ice and fire, I love the series having read it for all the reasons you mentioned. I also enjoyed "world of ice and fire" which is the  background history of the series and the world, and is amazingly awsome if you enjoy history, colourful descriptions of different lands and people's,  and are a ig fan of Ice and fire, all of which is true of me.I've read bits of Kafka  though can't recall if I read the transformation or not, principley the one I remember was the penal colony which was interesting both for it's incredibly dark and twisted depictions of torture and for the fact that said torture isn't particularly the point of the story, it was more aobut the system involved. I also have fond  memories of Jackels and arabs, which is actually part of the background inspirational materials for the huge online gamebook age of fable, albeit I felt that one was a little flat despite the exotic setting and
lying jackals. A friend of mine is a huge nihilist and existentialist and is thus a major Kafka fan.Well for me I've done various things, I've banged off several reviews for www.fantasybookreview.co.uk, i, particular ones for Birdbox, Tiger Tiger, Perdido street station and black sun rising. I won't repeat myself here on any of those books though sinse people can read them on the aforementioned site, (the Bird box and black sun rising ones are posted the rest will apear soon). I've been getting ready for the choral sing through of Duel of the fates, and also watching more Buffy which continues to be fun, although I really! miss evil angel from the last series, sinse he made such a good villain and while I can see season 3 is shaping up for some great plots around the mayor, it's the kind of thing that will depend upon how it's executed I think, sinse while the mayor is a nice slimy politici
an with his vampire gangster rapping partner I'm not finding him half as compelling as Angel ane Spike were last series. indeed one of my favourite episodes thus far was Spike's return, love sick for drucilla,  who'd left him. His conclusion to this was hilarious: "Oh I see now! I have been blaming everybody but myself, but what I need is to be the man she fell in love with again. So I'm going to find her, tie her up, and torture her until she likes me again!" It then concluded with him driving off singing along to a hard rock version of the song "my way!" If he (and Drucilla for that matter), weren't a psychotic evil vampire it might be genuinely disturbing, but from Spike it's hilarious!Faith I'm not sure of at the moment, I can see the point of having a character like that who just goes for the violence of the slaying and is almost amoral but clearly has her own issues, however thus
far she seems like a total cow (her just casually sleeping with Xander was not nice). I suspect though weeden being weeden she'll get her comeuppance later. In other news, I'm going to be very jolly english here governor and talk all about a bloody good cuppa tea! . My mint plant has finally matured enough to the point I can pull leaves off it and make it into fresh mint tea! It's actually surprisingly nice and flavoursome, and a good head clearer on a muggy day, indeed as I found when I tried the lemon balm  using fresh mint gives so much a better experience than any teabags or dried herbal varieties you'd buy from shops, it's just a much stronger and less bitter taste, indeed usually I find herbal teas smell more than they taste but not when done with the fresh leaves.Well there are some of the things i'm up to, anyone else feel
free to chime in. I don't know why this monthly topic has had less replies than the others, but still I always like knowing what people are up to and sharing more scattered and random thoughts, and there's still time to chime in for June.

Re: some questions about smugglers 5

1:For abduction missions you need to board the ship and take it over not just distroy it. For this you'll need the bording skill, and will also need the emp skill. To board a ship, get it's shields down to under %25, then use emp to stun the ship, then use boarding (no it isn't easy). You'll then go onto the boarding ship screen where your crew, officers, pirates, marines and droids will fight against the enemy across different areas of their ship, through the airlock first, then through corridors, then to the cargo bay if you just need to snatch the cargo or to the bridge.2: See above. Battleships however have a very big crew complement, much bigger than yours so you'll need to maximize your crew's fighting chances, which means obtaining battle droids, (I captured one with 20 droids, lot of marines and the minimum officers and crew needed to fly the ship). i'd therefore recommend boarding several crusers first in order to get enough droid
s to take the battleship. 3: Yes, the emp skill as I said is needed for boarding, as well as having handy uses in combat, it's on the skill tree just up from mark, and indeed is one of the requirements to get the boarding skill. you can also get laser types that cause the occasional Emp as well which can be deadly if you take advantage of them.Hth.

Re: I have some questions and a kind of rant to christians on this site.

I don't follow a religion, and here's why. I am not able to have faith in a higher power than me, I am only able to see what is in front of me and which I can observe and gather data and evidence for its existence. I am not able to give myself over to god, nor am i willing to serve god, which many christians say is something you have to do. I cannot live my life for god, only for me. Will I go to hell for this... we'll see, but I must stick with my beliefs or I will have no integrity. I try to be a good person and help people when I can. I have heard christians say that's not enough. Well, it's the best I can do, and if that lands me in hell, so be it. At least I'm not a drug user, a murderer, etc. Now about good an evil. I do concede to the point these are made up words by man, however, it is because some people live their lives for themselves, an all consuming greed filling their essence. People who kidnap, murder, rape, etc. Those people live in a
world where all they can conceive is their own existence, how to grab power, how to get that adrenaline rush from a burglary or a killing, the power that rapists crave. I want to distinguish that above, when I said I cannot give myself over and that I live life on my terms, I simply meant that I am not able to practice faith. I think of myself as non-selfish, although I have probably had my moments. I do think of my friends and family, and not just me. There is more, but this has gone on long enough. And I do also concede to the fact these thing are most likely failings in me.

Re: I have some questions and a kind of rant to christians on this site.

Hi,Interesting discussion. The point that there are so many religions nowadays, in some way makes you not believe them and what each religion convey.I am a muslim and I really believe that there is a God and one only. When I began to understand some of the concepts of religion, I started to form an opinion in my mind which tells me that religions are nothing else, but the interpretation of the words of God. If you take a careful look to all religious books but let’s pay attention to the most important ones, Kur’ran and Bible. Both try to communicate the message for peace and safety and tell their believers to act in peace, be generous, helpful, do not lie, tolerate and pray to God. Both these books communicate the same idea although they may not provide the same content. I’m just showing the main message of both these books.Another fact for disbelieving and uncertainty is the way you are teached about your religion and how do things work in this world in a religious aspect. But than we go. You talk about good and evil, and you may say they both do not exist. Then, how do you define the importance of an action? For example, you are extremely  bothered and harassed by a person and to avoid this forever, you decide to kill that person so that you will suffer no more from him, you will be good and you will not be under stress anymore. I can tell you that if evil and good didn’t existed, you wouldn’t kill that person, because you wouldn’t even know whether this person was doing good or bad things therefore you wouldn’t kill him. (just an example)If evil and good didn’t exist, probably all of us wouldn’t as well.Another important thing to say is that the level of your consciousness has a very important indication in your opinions, religion and God are no exception. You find your way logically and you are sure that what you think is true, because your mind tells you so, and the opinion is strong. But this doesn’t necessarily mean that you may be 100% right on what you think.

Just use point tracking and you should be able to find your way there. It sounds like the ice path is possible: That is going to be an annoyance when I get there in my game of not using gameshark.

Disclaimer: i'm letting loose.God?I don't believe in god.At all.I do believe in an ultimate force who created the universe-who might be the universe-but I don't believe in god.God, to humankind, is this conscious being who cares about what we do.Well, I myself don't believe that we're the only beings in this universe. I mean, do you think in a potentially infinite universe there is but one planet where life exists? hell, we can't even move out of our galaxy! and you think we are the only thing existing in the universe? ha. ha ha ha.Also. If god was kind, god loves all. Why does he let us kill animals.Wouldn't it be wrong to kill animals and eat them? doesn't this come under "thou shalt not kill" or something? And if you tell me god only loves humans because their conscious, well then god is a human with human flaws. So I don't believe in him...well...it.Also. God needs
money. And prayer.Imagine this. An omnipotent, omnipresent, omniscient being, who created everything...needs prayer. And money.Doesn't this seem kinda odd?Anyway, if I had to believe in something I'd believe in charities, you know, the things that actually help? give people life? And if I had to worship something. I'd worship our freedom fighters. Who faught off the invaders after them being here for 200 years. Because yes, if we're conceded enough to think god only cares about us, I can also be conceded and say god should help us.

deathmatch a new beginning object, station and expanded key references

deathmatch a new beginning object, station and expanded key references

Use this as a reference guide. This aims to supplement the documentation you have read so far. Of course, I will keep updating it as game changes or as I see additions to become relevantPrior recquirements:This game is still a beta. Be patient as there are things that have not being fully implemented and there is an interest on improving server stability, which is for the most part being done brilliantly. Though the game is fully playable as is, there is something that could benefit you in the future. There is a basic copying system described under keystrokes, but since it is limitted you can probably want to do the following now. Its good for those of you using NVDA to get the clip copy add on installed. Support on other screen readers and sapi will be coming in the future. Copying text in the game is almost a necessary thing to do, especially when you need to pass on status or coordinates to other players.KeystrokesTab: Get information about other players that are logged in.  Currently shows names of people, and where those people are located in the game's world, including yourself.Slash: Out of character chat channel.  You can type your message in the box that comes up, and then press enter... or escape to cancel. You can ask for help right away, but please read this first, I promise I will not make it boring! The L key will have some policies or rules of the game. Trust me that if there were people who would behave regularly like any decent space and normal civilian would do us would not have to implement them. For the most part, behaving like a normal, and sane person will never get you into any trouble and that is one of the beautiful things on the dmnb community, all players are helpful and willing to well, play. Read them to have a laugh or two at the silly things people have done so that when you are probably in a good state of mental bliss or insanity you will refrain from doing them. And yes, that includes spamming via any method, whether it be user names, or ship names or chats or private messages or any other ways people have found to disrupt or annoy other people, also includes harassment. Because I don't really want to center too much in this point, I suggest you read them now and familiarize with them and their terms before moving on.C: Shows you your current coordinates on the x-y-z grid that makes up the map of the area you are currently in.  The first number is X, and is your position left to right, with left being a lower value, and right being a higher value'.  The second number is Y, and is your position front to back, with forward being a higher value, and backward being a lower value'.  The third number is Z, and is your position up and down, with higher being a higher value, and lower being a lower value'.  Moving in a Corresponding direction will change these numbers accordingly, though the only way to move up and down is with a turbo car, a turbo lift and a tram at this time. Oh, and hand held teleporters but more of that in a minute. Oh yes, and keep in mind that there is always the possibility of negative numbers.F: Resyncs your character’s current position with the server in the event that it forgets and you end up somewhere strange or stuck to a certain place. It happens rarely or if you are on a very slow connection, but still it can come in handy.D: Finds and displays objects around you.  It shows all of the nearby consoles, doors, turbo lifts, turbo car, trams and docked ships in your area that you are an owner on.Enter: An all-purpose activation key for interacting with various objects in the game.  Works on doors, lifts, ship's hatches, consoles, terminals, inventory items, and console menu items, as well as a way to select options in the main menu.Z: Checks how many credits you have on hand.  Credits are the game's currency and you can buy several things with them.G: Pull up the Global galactic network market menu.  This is a market that can be accessed anywhere for now, and is the only way to buy or sell ships, sign onto bounties, request cargo for delivery, ETC. Do note that you must be inside a space station or planet to do any of those actions, except for refueling or reloading warheads which you must do while you are inside the ship.H: Checks your character's healthI: Opens your inventoryE: Emotes an action, visible to those you are 10 scares away from you. For example you type e, then write jumps up and down. And it will show as, UltraLeetJ jumps up and down.S: Says a message and people up to 10 squares can see it.O: Adjusts in game player options. Here it is advised you protect your character with a password.n: you can read the galactic news by pressing this key.B. Allows you to build on planets you own.V. repeats the line of text you just Heard, or the last event in the game.Space bar: Punches people in ground combat where ground combat is allowed. You will get a message when it isn't.

Hi.Thanks everyone.I really am sorry if i offended anyone, I looked back at my post and realized I could have worded things differently but had this erge to write at that time what I was feeling. SO I believe God, or Allah, or what ever name you want to give to this being was saying; "oy, you! Yeah you! Why not write down how you're feeling and see what response you get." So I did and [[wow]], no flaming yet. I call myself a spiritualist, what this means to me is; I do believe in Allah, but do not think of it as a man nor woman, Allah or God, is to me at least, energy so in my meditating and eating and so on, I am using and or thanking God all the time. I look up energy work and use it sometimes and I have listened to the Qu'ran  or a bit of it, and the bible too. I prefer the qu'ran's way of speaking slash singing to the bible,
but that's just me.OH and I really like the azan/adan and songs are good too, but I've forgotten the name for them.I really do not like this idea of hell though, since that means, if you follow the christian belief, people will be tortured for ever and ever and ever. "for ever and ever and ever" is a very long time, in fact, it might be literally for ever.I've been scaring myself today ladies and gentlemen. Usually i really like listening to life after death videos, out of body experience videos and or people who went to heaven and back and or hell and back. So Today I searched, people who went to hell and back and found: 1. sid roth, he kind of annoyed me to be honest. Way to over the top and in my opinion way to fake to be taken seriously. And 2. Mary k baxster. Nice lady. I do believe she saw hell and heaven and that Jesus showed her these things. But these two use scaring you, to make you believe but at least mary gives bible verses y
ou could, if you wanted to, look up. I am learning now how to tell the fakes from real people and or tv people and it's shocking what lengths some people will go too for either a. money or b power. The annoying thing is, I believe all the things sid roths guests talk about are possible, in fafct I've done some of them. Meditation, heard voices, used energy ect, but they're way over the top and in the end you find out they just want to sell you a book to make cash.

Re: Monthly chat June 2015

Hello,I must confess I haven't read the song of ice and fire, but I've heard some good things about it, so might have to give it a try somehowHonestly, I haven't posted much in here because I have sort of been busy, as this month has been my Birthday and the celebrations have lasted a while. My Birthday was near the begining of the month. The weekend before my Birthday we went to a place called Southsea, and walked from Southsea to Gumwarf Quays, and had some food and did some shopping. It was quite a nice walk. From there we went back to Southsea and there were some amusement arcades there. Thre were a lot of new games I particularly laughed my head off when Dad played a game called Flying Tickets, which is a bit like Flappy Bird but in the arcades. He went splat within the first two seconds, 8-bit chiptune and all and the most hilariously short splat sound ever.We also had a go at some air hockey, but with a twist. Pac-man Smash is air hocke
y which is fine, but the fun really starts once someone plunks their first goal in. The table becomes filled with mini pucks, around six of them possibly more, and it then becomes a race of points as everyone's frantically joining in trying to hit the pucks into the two goals for points, and then just when you think it's all over, the pucks come flying out for one more round before the game ends. I think my Dad utterly frashed me and Mum this time.Next up we had Mario Kart Arcade Gp Delux, or dx. I played as pac-man (yes, they did actually put pac-man in the game because Namco were also involved in developing the arcade features), and did an easy track race. I got knocked out a couple of times by other karts throwing items, but me and Dad managed to catch up. dad steered while I controled the acceleration and threw the items at the other karts. We bagged a few of them too.We found a surprise in the form of Pac-man basketball, sound effects and all. It was ridic
ulous. I got a few balls in the basket but it was a little tricky, but still fun.We also played Transformers: Human Alliance, a lightgun game, so Dad helped me aim and hit the targets. For my actual Birthday, we didn't do too much, although I got lots of Disney cds from a new line called the Legacy Collection which contains the complete soundtracks and some demo songs from various films such as The Lion King, LittleMermaid, and Mary Poppins to name a few. Each collection is like a book, with behind the scenes info at the front and the cds at the back. What I find very interesting is that some of these tracks exceed ten minutes in length, indeed there's one on the Lion King that lasts a good eleven minutes or so.A couple of weeks ago I had a get together with some friends, where we just chilled out and chatted. I have also kept in contact with some friends I met in America which is always a blast.

Also, on good and evil.Killing a human is evil. Why? hell if I know.Killing an animal is hunger.Keeping humans in enslavement is evil. Why? hell if I know.Keeping animals in cages where they can't escape from with meager food and water is no problem.Shooting a human in the head is evil.Shooting an animal in the head is sport.etc.Imo, good and evil are concepts for self defence. If there is no concept of evil one will not think about killing everyone else. But if it is "evil", well now you'll be hated if you do this. So clearly don't do this.

Nod, but I hold to the philosophy that god isn't gonna change stuff on my say so..."please god, grant me the lottery" as if he'd step in personally and make it true. As if i'm that important, lol.

God has created you, so you're important. And no, you don't wish the lottery, you spend effort for it, then wish it. If it's in your fate you'll get it.

Re: I have some questions and a kind of rant to christians on this site.

So i'm confused...for example, if the lottery is in your fate. So you're going to win it. You wishing for it won't change the outcome, will it? if it's in your fate, you'll get it, otherwise no. I don't think god can do anything if it's not infact in your fate, and if it is, you don't need to wish for it...
