If you're recording software supports loopback, as in recording the sound of your speakers or headphones into audio, then use headphones, and going to the sound settings in the control panel, select your microphone, press properties on it, and go to   The listen tab, check the listings of this device check box, press reply, and you should hear yourself. It is a bit distracting, and it's a little hard to get used to at first, but this is what I use. If you don't have loopback, I don't know what you can do.My computer apparently  has stereo mix on it, but every time I try to record with stereo mix settings on, it gives me errors. And I don't really know what the point of stereo mix was in the first place anyway, so that is why I use this.Hope that helps.

@Dark,Thank you very much.  Honestly things might not have gone as badly had maintenance acted here as they should have.  To make matters worse, they actualy went and drilled holes in the ceiling to let the rest of the water drain out, all over our stuff, since what they're planning on doing is just, replacing what they really feel they have to, rather than gutting the place as they should, which as I have pointed above has been growing mold like California spawns fires.  This is why we're hoping to get a lawyer as soon as possible.  To make matters worse, we've been atempting to get Government assistance since Roughly July of last year since they, the apartment management ,were planning on jacking up the price on us, as if it weren't already bad enough that we give them roughly two thirds of what we make.  So far, no go, and they don't really seem kene on looking into the matter.@Sebby,Every bit of it is truly ap
 preciated, particularly given that it was given willingly, and I thank you once again for the encouragement.  I'll never forget any of it.

SLJ, I seriously dig the embossed logo idea. I will definitely look into that.I had actually already thought about figuring out ways to name NPCs in donors' honor, or otherwise work donors' names in as an easter egg somewhere. So it's cool you were thinking along those same lines.As for 3-D printers - I want one, personally, bu yeah it'd be overkill just to get one in order to make goodies to go with a Kickstarter campaign. But the bigger issue might be finding someone to create 3-D models of the characters in order to print them. I have no idea how that all works. Anyway, it is a really cool idea, though.

Lol, the full voice version is free. The demo just gives you a feel for the game, since it was released before the full version, it also unlocks a password for beating it. And he meant the other version, that came out years before the full voice version.

I do have a suggestions regarding fizzles, more specifically a fizzle when casting a buff that not only requires SP but HP as well. In it's current state it cost you the full cast cost if it fizzles. That's a pretty high price, especially at the lower starting levels for classes like the Cultist. Have you considered making fizzles costing only a fraction of the spell cost? Perhaps 50% or so sounds fair. It's different than a spell that was resisted, which should cost the full amount because the spell itself was successfully cast.

Some comments:This is a great game! Even if I got stuck in certain points, it was moderately easy to figure out what to do with a little help.  Hopefully if its not a voiceover issue but the percentage of health disappearing could maybe be fixed? Also, I think ramping up the exp in the infinite arena would be nice.  As of now, I finished with the cultist, and am working to finish with the mercenary or mutant next. Also, I will try and explore every room possible to see if there are any no-exit rooms. Also, are the traps in the core supposed to nuke people? Is that like you stepped into the lava and burned alive! sort of thing. Also, could you maybe add a sound for a crittical hits? I always wonder I get those, but don't know when I do. After trying to face a Grim Wolf, I kind of wished the we"apon damage could improve the spell's base damage. I'd also like to know the formula how overall damage is decided, how strength times da
 mage equaks output? Thanks, and can't wait for the next game.

I agree as to the previous posts, I wish I didn't have to say this as well, but same thing, same over and over, combat mechanics same as SBU. I beat level 1 no prob, then level 2, whatever it was was at me so fast I didn't have time to react, like less than 200ms. And once you die, your HP don't reset, so its just the same thing over and over its right in your path and you die instantly.I agree also, if you're not inspired step away from game devel. We have a flood of side scrollers already, if we are to have more, fine, but we need some with innovative gameplay mechanics and or stories. You seem to like the style of spacebar mash over and over, but to me, that's not a game.I don't know what to say other than, if you don't have something new, and I mean new as in not like UP, not like SB any version, not like all these other games, then what's the point putting the time in. You can still make games where you battle either AI or
  players, just do it in another format. Maybe that's not the right way to put it, like use other means to accomplish combat mechanics. Or create a new genre or something. There's no shortcuts to be taken if you want to create a truely innovative title then to outline what you want in it, how you want it done and then start coding.Oh, and yeah, the knife and gun are the only weapons that do anything worth the effort. doing the same.

You are stuck.  Unless you have stereo mix or are willing to shell out money, there is no way to do what you want to do.  The least expensive options include programs like virtual audio cable or soundtap.  if you're interested in something a little more advantageous you'll opt to use an audio interface.  Otherwise, tinker around with Audacity until you find something that just, might work, since you have nothing else to lose.

I'm just wondering how you get stereo mix working on a windows xp virtual machine under fusion, because it shows stereomix control under the volume control, but in the audio tab of sounds and multimedia, under the input devices, there is no stereomix, rec-playback, record what you hear, or anything like that.

After the first turn though its pretty much random (I know its not really, but) voiceover will not read the percentage thing, its as if its disappeared. Welcome to the wonderful world of Mac OS X and access to nearly all aspects of the system. I can't tell you how much independence I now have that was simply not possible on Windows machines. I'll admit that Apple isn't perfect, and there are certainly some areas of the OS and VoiceOver that could be better, but it's changed the way I think of computers and accessibility. You'll find that some applications like Skype work better with VO than Windows screen readers while other apps like TeamTalk are really bad. This is the only thing that irritates me. Why do these people build a screen reader mode into TT for Windows and no support for VO? It's inexcusable! I refuse to use an application that is accessible on one platform but not another. I will say the same for Adobe Flash. I'm not touching that piece of crap with a ten foot pole. Then again, Flash is nearly dead! Let us rejoice when it finally dies!

Don't even get me started on Windows Mobile. I tired that pile of garbage a while ago and Narrator was junk! From what I hear, Windows 10 Mobile doesn't add any significant accessibility features or fix the fact that many apps including Microsoft and third party apps are nearly unusable. I will rejoice when that platform finally bites the dust for good. Are the privacy issues present on Windows 10 Mobile as well? I wouldn't be surprised if the answer is yes.

Stereo mix is a feature of your soundcard. I don't think the Mac sound device or the virtual Fusion sound device supports stereo mix. Why aren't there any free tools for Windows like VAC? Sound Flower for OS X is free and is awesome.

I have been known to set up other hotkeys to launch other programs that I would want access to in a pinch, but the windows seven taskbar thing has taken away part of the reason for quick hotkey for programs. I have FSReader is the second icon from the left on the taskbar and all I have to do is to press windows key plus 2 to bring it up. So, making sure that jaws is pinned to your task bar and that it is among the first ten icon on your task bar, I think you will find that there would be a keystroke created for you if you don't mind the keystroke including the number row and the windows key. LOL. Anyway, it does seem like the topic has sort of been answered, but I may be wrong. It wouldn't be the first nor the last. LOL.

Hi all,  I'm going to say this, just because I've played the game and this is what I, personally, see. I'm not calling you wrong, I'm not saying I know better, I'm not starting a debate, none of that. But my opinion differs from yours largely.  Firstly, space bar mashing. Level 1, yes, I agree. that's... a lot of space mashing and side to side walking. That's it. But level 2 on, I beg to differ. I personally know that he has fixed the cars issue. Basically guys what they'd do is come from the right, go all the way to the left, then come back to the right again. Mason has since fixed this. So now, and this is level 2, you have cars to jump over with machine guns, so you must time your jump accurately. K? Now we've finished that level, only fighting 2 or 3 foes, so not a bunch of mashing space.Level 3. This is a bit more space mashing than is needed, I certainly agree with that. I'll try to suggest to Mas
 on some innovative ideas like the one I suggested for level 4, maybe I can get him to put some for level 3, in fact I've chatted him to do so just now.Level 4. I'd hardly call this space mashing. You not only have to jump over spikes, but cars, and then you have to run away from bombs as well. In addition, he's added a new challenge to it, which I suggested to him, and will let him disclose if he so chooses to once the new version comes out.  Now you all know how harsh my Mason judgements can be. Remember? I'm the one who labeled him a "lousy developer." But honestly guys, this game is unique. Not the fighting aspect, but the fact that you have to fight and watch your back, the fact that you have to do this in a fast paced environment where one screw up could result in your demise. And now that he's corrected the problem with cars in level 2, this I must say is a promising demo. Still trying to get through level four though, hahah

Post 4 seemed rather presumptuous. So I decided to give the game a chance. And sadly, yeah. The combat system still has all the problems of the SBU combat system. Like the knife is the only weapon that actually works, and you have to stay kind of far away from the enemy to hit him with it which doesn't even make sense. And the jumping enemy concept is just really, really annoying. If you're going to make a spacebar masher, make the mashing actually kill the enemy. Please!Now I felt like I was playing SBU all over again. From what I remember of the old crime hunter you had been told that some group of people called the crimers were just randomly robbing people and you sat tight until they tried to rob you and then you grabbed up some gardening implements to attack them with. Um, where exactly are those?

Given i've already rote a review of sbu and this is largely the same thing, if you've already red it you can skip this.Frankly because this needs to be said the only difference I see in this verses sbu are the removal of pits and even easier mecanics, with the acception of level 4. I was able to complete the concept demo in much less time than it took me to do with sbu.I'll try to word this as friendly as possible. Keep in mined even though I had douts about this game from when I downloaded it, I still tried to give it the bennifit of the dout and played through all 4 levels, attempting to search for any mecanic to like in this game.I know how hard it is to be a developer. I know the struggles when people complain and I know what its like trying to make your features work. Believe me, I do understand the struggles us devs go through because we choose to.But quite frankly, and this'll sting a little and may come off harsher than I intende
 d, but no one else is saying it so I may as well. From a player and a developers standpoint? This isn't even trying. It doesn't even feel like a concept demo to me, much less a game that had work put in gameplay wize. The only 2 mecanics I could really find to like in it were the nice fade in and fade out sounds when traversing from one section to the next in the level with the water, and the difficult bolders and spikes you had to jump over, which by the way are bunched a little too close together, resulting in my instant death the minute i'd take a leaping jump across from one spike to the next. The problem also comes into play by the fact bombs and bolders take off way too much health and you don't regain health fast enough, which results in some rather painful death's, but this could just be me so i'll leave this up for debate.From one developer to another mason, I really think that you aut to take a bit of a break from game developing for a w
 hile, or at least focus on your current projects. I'm not normally one of the people who believes in gigantic inovations, and i'm normally the type who will play a game even if its largely the same stuff i've played before but honestly, in this case, I can see why people are saying this has already been done a million times before and while I don't say you should entirely make a new concept altogether, if your going to make a new project, at least spice it up with something, like the glider in sbp. Believe me I seriously wish I didn't have to write about the game like this. I even stopt in the middle of writing this and replayed it including level 4 again to see if their was something I was indeed missing, and I managed to beat level 4, but alass. It seems quantaty seems to be taking place over quality in this situation.

Hi Nocturnus. I've been away from the forum owing to my own changes in personal circumstances, so this is the first I've heard of this disaster. I'm really sorry to hear this has happened. It actually makes me slightly guilty sinse two years ago over christmas, while I was a hundred miles to the south with my parents my loo sistern had a similar misshap, though fortunately due to  prompt action by my downstairs neighbor (who has my spare key), and the very nice council  maintenance guys quick  arrival,no damage was done. Sorry I'm in the wrong country to help, though I will look at my finances and see if I can send anything via paypal.

keyIsFull, yeah, and i'll explain. you know, all this sidescrollers, they have a lot of potential. walking around, spacebar mashing, jumping sometimes... we've seen that a thousand times before, and we see that in every mason's game, but i believe, sidescrollers can be better than that. mason, why won't you implement something new already? i can give you guys a huge list of this kind of games, and i'll tell you which are the best imo. this is super liam, which had everything that crime hunter has and it's a retro game, if we can call it this way. this is q9, which also has everything but better designed. this is the gate, which i personaly don't like too much, but i understand the fact it has some interesting enemies and situations. and it also has everything from previous games. so, mason made a lot of sidescrollers which do look similar, and you can't tell i'm wrong, because i'm not. back to crime hunter, it's even worse tha
 n ultra power, because we have no platforms, we don't have, for example, to think how to reach some point, how to get to the next level, we don't have to fight well, we just have to walk forward and mash spacebar.well, mason, just make a good game from it, why not? i'm not sure that's interesting to play it even for yourself. it's scrolling battles again, nothing more, but you can do more than that! why, for example, not to add some kind of nice combat system and combos? what about some dark spots or covers, and of course stealth kills, if your char is so cool? and that will be realy something new)

Well I'm coming to this one a little late. The ultrapower thing has always been at least a low level mess from what I've seen. as usual I don't care who has done what to whom or why, but I'm confident in the people I appointed as mods in the first place to sort things out, as seems to have happened.I'll attempt to at least stick my head around the door occasionally and do some more work on the db, which should be more often in the future now that my fiance has moved in with me, although obviously  there are still things to fix (right now I've got her an Iphone 6 and we're going through the looktell vo tutorial). Btw, as regards some comments earlier in the thread, there is always a log of who has been banned for how long and the dates, that's a feature of the forum. I thought all the moderators new how the banning system worked, however I will write a private e-mail to the mods with some pointers sinse one of the pre
 vious posters is indeed correct. Spambot banning is an intrinsic part of the mod's duties, and while it's very much hoped banning members isn't necessary, once in a very short while it is, either temporarily for a few weeks or even (very occasionally), perminantly.Just like Gaols, we wish we didn't need them, but occasionally they do become necessary.

Hello,@assault: the cpu can use any character, including season 2, in modes like survival. Survival's good if you want to fight all of the cast with whatever character you want.@pelantus: each character has their own ultra command. For example, when the announcer says danger, with Jago, start a combo but instead of ending it with a special, do his tiger furie command and press left bumper. This is a sort of right down right left bumper thingy, it's quite hard to explain. I think it's called a half circle. In the fighting community, it's called a dp which stands for dragon punch motion. It is not the same as the endokuken motion, which is jsut down, right, and punch. THis one is right, down right, punch, but this time, it's the left bumper. With combo assist, it's just the left bumper. Once an ultra starts, if you have instinct you might be able to activate it and keep your combo going during the ultra, and go in for a double ultra as well.
  Sometimes if you are lucky you can hit your opponent with a shadow move after an ultra just before the announcer says ultra, as the last musical note plays, but this doesn't always work. I managed to do a double shadow endokuken at the end of an ultra once, somehow.

Welcome to another monthly chat topic. This is where everyone gets the chance to talk about anything and everything in their lives that might happen to be important, work/school/university, games and what your playing, films, books, random annoyences or triumphs all that sort of thing.Of course, only a privilidged few get to start one of these balls rolling on the first day of each month, and by few I mean one, and by one I mean me, and by privilidged I also mean me! It's a dirty job, well actually it isn't it's lots of fun, and that's why I don't let anyone else do it . Seriously, as people will gather I've been off the forum recently  due to the continuingly wonderful circumstance of living with the future mrs. dark. In case anyone else ran into her, her name is Leslie, she was at one point Bell-song on the Zone, and Ta
 lia on Klango, though hasn't been on either place for a while. We'll hopefully be fixing her e-mail address this week, so she might well end up with a forum account although we've had lots of stuff to sort. The immigration system still prooves fun. We plan to have two weddings, one hear in Britain, one in the states, but at which the actual formal signing of the mariage license happense we don't know yet sinse it depends upon lots of annoying bills and other stuff. Mostly we've been doing lots of things connected with living together, most of which are nice but some of which are rather hard work, eg, getting all Leslie's possessions room in my flat etc. We've also been doing lots of things together. Sinse Leslie needed a new phone I've fixed her an Iphone 6 with a new contract, and we've been going through the looktell vo tutorial to get the basics, actually there's more of that than I thought there was. We'll also probab
 ly be playing some games at some point, (she rather enjoyed the adventure game part of the tutorial), although games are just one advantage of an Iphone. Another fun thing we've been doing is listening to the bbc version of lotr together and comparing differences. My lady mostly knows the American one so it's an interesting experience for her, and for me. it was a toss up which one we heard first, but the bbc  won the toss so we'll probably be doing the American minds eye one in the future. I've also introduced Leslie to the awesomeness of blackadder. So, lots of good stuff going on over hear at the moment, if on occasions quite some work, I'm just amazed to have found this. I do however hope I'll be around the forum at least some of the time, both to help and because there are definitely some games I fancy trying (griff looks good, and I want to continue with six dragons, not to mention try out the life line games). I hope eve
 ryone else is having a good time, and that  disasters are at a minimum, (I was extremely sorry to hear about Nocturnus nastiness in the other thread).I heard Aprone is okay, albeit rather snowed under himself, likewise on the audeasy list we've had a couple of messages from Tom Ward who's apparently out of surgery but feeling distinctly ill. Hopefully he'll make a recovery to health soon.So, what's everyone else up to?

@stirlock and assault_freak, in a way it is too bad it is not the addon's fault, then I'd have a better chance of solving it.@musicman, it would be possible to save the cache locally, but I've got a lot of other things on my ToDo list for this and other projects, so I probably won't be doing this anytime soon.I haven't played enough BK3 to use the weapon advisor, but I suppose you could turn off the copy translated text to clipboard option in JGT settings, then use the game to copy the Japanese text to your clipboard, then paste the entire copied text into Google Translate.That way the JGT addon won't be overwriting your clipboard.Of course, when Japanese text needs to be copied to the clipboard, you need to have the Japanese keyboard enabled.@musical professor, It works with the ShadowRine Fullvoice game.  I'm told the demo and the non voice versions of the game do not output directly to NVDA, so it wouldn

A good program to record gameplay only in audio format

Hello folks, as the name suggests, I wonder if there is a good program used to capture the audio of your computer, along with your voice to make gameplays more like a podcast. I used to use only my microphone to capture my voice and my gameplay, it it is more suceptile to external sounds and the quality tend to be not very good at all. So, any tips? I do not have stereo mix currently, as a side note.Best regards, Haramir.

Thank you dark! May be it's just me but i feel like sounds help a lot with events in game, especially when there're like ten lines of text in a row and i can't catch the output. Good thing that now I can code the lua ppi myself. I don't have to care about muds with no sound anymore. But now except Clok and Alter, I'm quite off for muds. There're things to focus out there, like my fiction I've been trying to pubblish, and a gamebook in the work.

@buu420: You just need to destroy it like any other boss. Just watch out for the bombs that it drops.About crafting, you can start doing that after you finish stage 16. After beating that stage, a crafting shop opens up, which will allow you to make various things. To craft things, just follow the directions that are given to you when you go and select an item in the crafting shop.HTH.

Hi, was just curious about the second boss on stage 9.4, is it just a typical kill it, or is their something special I have to do. if so I probably just need to get some more levels or work better at dodging the bombs, and man I am reading all this crazy stuff I can't wait to get to the higher stages to get some of that stuff. Oh, and when am I able to start crafting stuff? And how do I go about crafting it to begin with?
