You get things like linters, automatic imports of symbols, markdown preview etc. When there are issues with Vs Code, the developers are very responsive on Github. I interact with them often. Its the first time that I didn't feel like a corner case when talking to them because reported accessibility bugs actually get fixed. Sometime in a day if its a small fix. Why would or wouldn't I switch to C++? Re: General fighting game banter The ps2 version used the same 3 button system, plus one button for reflect guard which was also in the psp version.. the difference is that the ps2 uses traditional inputs; fireball, dragon punch and half circle motions. The only game I've seen where inputs differ based on platform... kinda weird, but there you go. I loved that game. The only game that's ever felt like a 2d Soulcalibur, and the sound design was great too. And I loved the Darkstalkers Collection! Soo glad my ps2 was able to play imports because I had it modded. I got so many good games out of it, including the Samurai Shodown Anthology that was delayed in the US for forever.I wouldn't describe SC VI's story mode as playable unless you're using OCR. hahaha. Wish I had a PC powerful enough to run it. And if I get MK 11 at all, it will be afterthe DLC is released and be something just to keep on my hdd for when friends come over and want something gory to play. As for me, having all of my unplayed podcasts setting there on my IPad oldest to newest all set up ready to go is a really enjoyable thing for me. Almost like radio on demand. Of course, I have some podcasts set to play at 1.75 x and others set to play at 1.375 x and overcast handles all of that for me. I personally have things set up so that I can play everything from a playlist of some kind. That's not bugs, that's just the cost of using an abstraction.Everyone keeps trying to make excuses for AngelScript. BGT could have used either of the implementations of Lua or any of about 5 implementations of _javascript_, implemented itself as a library for Python or Go, embedded Mono, and that's just the ones I can think of offhand. I'll concede that AngelScript has improved when they don't have their manual talking about how you have to implement your own preprocessor and how there's a bunch of limitations on what you can do with the limited shared definition support. Or when it gets fully-featured closures, a feature of everything I just listed as alternatives.AngelScript will never, ever catch up to a mainstream language. If it was going to take off, it would have 10 years ago, but it doesn't solve any problem that anyone actually needs solved and the only way you make a popular language is if you solve a problem that people need solved. Given that anyone besides audiogames.net people has a long list of mainstream, bug-free options that have twice the features and that it's only a couple devs at most working on it, sorry, but it's always going to b buggy one way or another.The same applies to PureBasic too. Re: My problem in C _javascript_ is easy and a good choice. Some of the stuff around webpack and such is a little bit fiddly, but overall I actually like the language quite a lot these days. It used to be kind of lame, and then they fixed the lameness 4 or 5 years ago and now it's kind of excellent.That said do be aware that most people use something like React and something like Webpack and that manually adding and tweaking script tags is only something you really do while you're learning. I've seen people get caught up in that as a problem because they think that's how everyone uses it, but in reality "I directly added 15 script tags" is like the assembly of JS and once you're done learning you'll be doing less annoying things and using proper module systems with importing and stuff. (today's C compilers have less bugs related to this,).about parser of AngelScript, it has many many bugs, but it is always improving. although this is due to it's low number of users. but as it's own, or for bgt,, it was the best choice. YOu can do this in a few different ways, but the easiest involves connecting your device via a 3.5mm cable and recording VoiceOver speech. If you have VoiceDream Reader or another app that takes advantage of the iOS speech SDK to speak, simply set it to Alex, write your document, and then play it back while recording from your other device the iOS device is connected to. This is how I was able to use some Ivona voices and the female Siri voice in my TTS skits. Parsers are very hard to do.That, or BGT's preprocessor is broken and the lines of included files are getting added to yours. AngelScript doesn't provide a native include system, or a native module system, or anything like that, so everyone gets to do their own. Overall C isn't worth the frustration unless you're trying to do something that specifically needs it and if you're past the point where you've learned the basics then you're past the point where C is going to teach you a lot of generally applicable "this is how my computer works and Python is hiding it from me" stuff.But as for a more helpful answer I don't really have one. It's been something like 8 or 9 years since I learned C/C++ for the first time, and I don't even remember what I used. I think mostly it was doing my first attempts at 3D audio stuff and learning as I went. Grabbing an algorithms book might be useful if you're the sort to have the motivation to work through one, but overall I generally suggest people at your stage find a project--except this is C, so the gap between being able to write C and being able to actually do something useful with it is enormous. I'm sadly with the minority here who believes SAPI voices are generally far to expensive for me to invest in them. I bought the codefactory thing for NVDA mostly because I wanted eloquence, but good SAPI voices I cannot justify. I hate This default David voice in win 10, but it'll have to do for now. Re: How to make the Audiogames Forum display correctly And if you're using firefox and happen to make use of the history options and forget to close the sidebar you may also encounter issues, even if your window is maximised. To fix this if you suspect this may be the issue, simply press the alt key in conjunction with a w. If you do not hear something along the lines of "view button submenu," you're good to go and the sidebar is not the culprit. ON the other hand, if you do see the view button, you can shift tab until you get to the close sidebar button and fix the issue by activating said button. Alternatively you can also just hit control h which will toggle it one way or the other... I just prefer the first method because I'm sure it's actually doing something where as the second method doesn't say anything unless you actually open history.
