Yes, before me most if not all games were done using a translation service. While it did work in some simpler games, it had some very confusing parts. @smoothgunner You are not the only one. Several people have asked for stratego translation and it will probably happen when we do get a native Russian speaker. Improving games is easier than translating completely. For now, there are several English pages listing stratego rules so you can get a feel of the game. The thing which is similar to Chess is the board, but there is some guessing involved in this game unlike chess. For example, the pages we currently have fully translated in good English are rules for rainbow, mile by mile, foodball and 66 which is not yet published but should be soon. Yes, Mafia rules are extremely confusing as they have been translated using Google translate. I will take a look at them but for writing good rules, I first need to lear the game myself. I know how to play most of the games on OnToys, but mafia is not one of them as it actually needs more people to be interesting. The minimum is 4 and maximum 16, so the more you have the better. As for stars, they can be understood as a virtual currency of tiflo.space. They can be used to exchange for more toys, to change your nickname or buy the invisibility cap which allows you to quietly visit public spaces without being seen as well as hiding from friends. Stars can be optained in several ways, including by purchase, by participating and getting one of top 10 places in the online quiz (Russian only at present, needs contribution) as well as by participating in game competitions which are held weekly. On each weekend, a game which can be played by 2 people is randomly chosen as a competition game. When a game is chosen for competition, you have a certain number of games you can play, usually from 30 to 50 depending on the game lenghth. Your job is to defeat as many unique opponents as possible, and each win awards you with one point, while a loss does not take away anything except that game, meaning you have less games to play. top 5 places get stars, the first one getting 30 stars if it is the only one, if we have 2 then 15, and if more then each gets 10. The second one gets 8, the third one 6, the fourth 4 and the fifth 2. The best part about these competitions is that games are organized without any intervention of administrators and thus are much easier as there is no specific time during the weekend in which you should play your games. You can create a game whenever you feel llike it and as long as it conforms to the basic rules it will be a competition game which is displayed in the title bar of the client to reflect that. I'm afraid the instructions for maffia are particularly confusing, and since it seems that on toys has some quite unique games that aren't available in other social hubs it would be nice if people could know what they're getting. I'm also not exactly %100 sure what stars are supposed to be fore, but then again I've only just created my account and had a poke around the website, i should try the actual game client later, oh and since we now do have a social hubs category in the db I'll hopefully be trying to give On toys a page too at some stage when i've tried at least some of the games out. The only fully Russian game not in English is Stratego, but I think that will soon change. All other games are translated, but not all of them are perfect so if you are ready to get used to some grammar errors here and there, you should be able to play just fine. When you send armies to a war, the announcement is broken. What I mean is that it will say something like: The army x with a general of the tribe y attacks the army z without a general of the tribe n. In reality, the army with a general is reported as having no generals while the one without them is reported as having a general. This is not a big deal as you will know which armies you send. If anybody else is interested in doing a better English translation and has experience, let me know and I could write a short guide on translating OnToys and get the required files to the developer. Granted, my English is not perfect but at least the games will sound better than they did before. There were also some mile updates, but I am expecting a final update soon that should make it sound perfect, and the same goes for age of heroes. Yahtzee was also updated with a better translation which should now be correct, however I would like to mention that Russian yahtzee is probably different from what you have played so do check rules which are not perfect but were clear for me, and as always submit any questions here and I will try to help. Re: Ontoys online game platform Yes. At the end of each day and days is the name for turns in age of heroes, you have an auction time. The more players there are in the game the more the auction is interesting. During the auction time, you can press enter on a card and offer an exchange. For example, the way this is most commonly used is to exchange special resources. If you are Greek, you might press enter on granit to offer it to Chinese tribe which needs it in exchange for marble. If the Chinese tribe accepts that and has marble, they would go the other way round IE. press enter on marble and exchange it into granit. You can also press tab during the auction to focus the list of offers or to stop the exchange if you do not want to participate in the auction when you think you can't exchange anything useful. Auction is in fact rarely used in 2 players games, so players usually just press the stop button in such cases. Also during the exchange you can press enter on a card and there is an option to exchange that card to any card, which can be useful when you want to get rid of a special resource of another tribe but get something useful in return. The game also wont allow you to take resources of another tribe, so for example you wont be able to take granit if you are not Chinese, sandstone if you are not Celt and so on.Hope that clarifies it and let me know if you have any questions. Ontoys is no longer, as it moved to a new site https://tiflo.spaceIt is now a complete social network, with your profile where you can do various things such as post your articles and status changes which anybody can read, add your friends, post your audio and many more things. What used to be advanced functionality is now completely free in 2018 and should stay so, i.e you can chat for free, add friends and anything else that needed purchasing before. Stars can still be purchased though, and they can be used for some additional features:Changing your nickname costs one star,you can buy the invinsibility cap which allows you to visit public places without anybody's notice, the cost depends on the amount of time you buy it for.You can buy toyses for stars, the virtual currency used in the game which is similar to Poker chips (let me know if that one is not clear and I can try to explain it better).I think that is all about stars if I did not forget anything, but it can be checked on the website.Now, the thing you are probably most curious about, English translation. I will tell you right away that the translation is still not perfect, and if you are not the type of person who likes exploring, you might want to wait a bit more though you will miss a great social and gaming network. There is work on making a complete English translation. Right now, priority is to fix backgammon which is very broken in English, and Hearts which does not work at all due to a missing string which should be fixed very soon. After that, I will focus on improving all games and translating the rules as necessary. I would just like to let you know that I am not a native English speaker, and if anybody is serious enough to work on this translation they should write on here and we can hopefully get something going very soon. It would be even better if you know somebody who is a native Russian speaker, and I will explain why that would help us a lot. There is currently a game called online quiz. The way this quiz works in short is that it has a dedicated time at which it starts, and any player can participate. Questions are prepared in advance, and on the Russian side it happens on each saturday at around 6 PM Moscow time and it usually consists of 30 questions. The most successful players win stars. For translating these to English, we need to communicate with developers in Russian because they cannot speak English. At the end I wish everybody the best of luck with this platform, and remember that the more users register and play the sooner we will get the translations going. Do not also forget that you can feel free to invite your sighted friends too as there actually are real graphics in this client. I just want to clarify that I am not the developer or part of the development team, but an user who is helping out with English as well as the Serbian translations.Sorry for this long post, but I do feel that English community can enjoy this platform and it deserves a good translation. I don't know maybe they upgrade now, but before it was so stupid, if you don't have a premium account you even can't use the chat system. Re: Ontoys online game platform ok if someone can have the dev put this English translation of the rules on the site that would be great, I think a lot of people will be plaing this game. if any of the admins want to format these rules differently to put them in sections, to give players a better understanding of the game, be my guest. here is how you playhow to winget 7 colors of the rainbow in this exact orderredorangeyellowgreenaquablueviolethow to get different colorstrade drops in your hand with other players, and get drops from the rain whenever you have less than 10colors in your handrules-you can only have 10colors in your hand at a time-you can only drop a color in the rainbow if you don't have that same color in your hand multiple times. for example, if you have to drop red in the rainbow, you can not have two or more reds in your hand. if you try to drop the red in the rainbow with other reds in your hand, nothing will happen.-when trading colors, you have to ask permission to the other player if they want to take your color, they can accept or decline. if they accept that color is removed from your hand, and it will free up a slot in your hand for you to take a drop from the rain. if they decline the color stays in your hand and your turn is over.-if you have 4 of the same color in your hand, you can drop 3 of them in the rain, which will free up 3 slots in your hand to take drops from the rain. once you drop the set of 3 colors out of your hand, your turn is over.-once you drop a color in the rainbow your turn is over-if you take a color from the rain your turn is over-if you let the timer run out a random action is chosen for you and your turn is overhot keys-to see what colors are in your hand, use the left and right arrow keys- to drop a color in the rainbow, go to the color you want to drop, and hit the enter key. if you me et the requirements, you will hear a special sound letting you know it dropped.-press control enter to skip your turn. you will hear a ringing sound if it is skipped correctly.-press shift plus enter on the color you want to send to another player. you will hear a phone ringing sound if done correctly.-press control plus the space bar to take a drop from the rain. you will hear your screen reader announce the new color if done correctly. remember if you already have 10colors in your hand, nothing will happen if you try and do this command. you must give up a color in your hand to another player and free up a slot.-press the space bar on a color to drop 3 sets of it into the rain. remember you must have 4 of the same color in your hand to do this. if you don't have 4 of the same color in your hand, and you try to press the space bar on a color, nothing will happen. after a set of 3 colors is dropped. 3 empty slots will become available in your hand.-press the f2 key to see who turn it is, and the last action that occurred-press the f3 key once to see how many colors you have in your hand, and to see how many drops you have dropped into the rainbow. press the f3 key twice to see your opponent's stats.-press the f4 key to see the game stats. like the total number of drops in the rainbow, and the total number of drops that have been traded. this command is not really needed.if someone needs tips and strategy I rather pm that in a message, because if I post it here, everyone will basically be using the same strategys in the game. I will say this much, you can block your opponent from dropping colors in the rainbow if you read the rules carefully, you will understand how to block them. also until you memorize the color order, keep a word document open with the color order, and what colors you have already dropped into the rainbow until you start to memorize it. after playing a few times, the colors wi ll become second nature, then you will be able to read your opponent better and block there moves. Re: Ontoys online game platform In deed you can, but it really is the most difficult way of winning. Keep in mind that all cards means all, the cards. A player needs to have 0 generals, 0 armies, 0 cities and nothing in his or her hand to be considered eliminated from the game. Multiply that by the number of players, and it's really not worth it. What I tend to do is knock out the guy that looks like his days are numbered to reduce competition, then go for one of the other two methods. It's fun and satisfying to nail people though, if the dice are rolling in your favor. All I know is you're supposed to get every color in the rainbow to complete it, but how to do that is beyond me. In AOH, if it says your opponent interrupted the exchange, it just means they pressed the stop button and didn't want to trade. Games with only two players usually don't have any trading going on since most of the stuff you'll have in your hand is trash. 3 players is the absolute minimum for this game in my opinion. Remember that trading for monument materials isn't the only way to win the game; you can also win by building 5 cities or stealing all your opponents' stuff, much more exciting alternatives.@key when connected to someone, press alt+3 for the connections list. There should be two lists; connections and players. Press applications on the person you want to add, and one of the options should be offer friendship. I installed the win32 version and got a login box, however when I hit "registration" I got an error box saying "authorization failed" when I tried to look at the offline games, I got a thing that said "category all" and a chat box. When I tried the options I got an error message again. It might be that this is my xp laptop or that I'm using Avg internet security I'm not sure, I'll try it on my windows 10 machine next week, though with the games being open source I did wonder if this one would work on xp.I would like to try this though, I seem to remember hearing of age of heroes and it's a game I'd definitely like to play, plus of course this probably needs a db entry. Perhaps a topic should be posted in new releases once some of the translations are fixed and the bugs worked out.I did notice when installing this in the & quot;select your access technology" box the only option was jaws, does this thing only work with Jaws? I hope not, indeed I was surprised there wasn't a sapi option. The rumors about it being from a Russian hacker sound like BS at first, but I was a bit shocked when the registration page asked me for my first and last name, city and country, and announced cheerfully that this would be displayed on my profile. That's a bit too specific for my liking. I ended up putting my State in place of the city. What horrified me more though was that the password you give them is not encrypted. The confirmation email displayed the password I gave them in plain text for everyone to see. Not exactly a company I would immediately trust with my credit card info, but I guess we'll wait and see if someone else gets hacked by these guys.I also hope that the open source nature of these games is cheat proof, meaning someone can't just tweak some values and be unbeatable. Simply checking the game file against the server's version would fix this, although it seems to already do this, so that's good. So far I've played age of heroes, table tennis, battleship and rainbow, and I'll be messing with it more in the coming days.Oh, and to the people saying the link is broken, I thought that as well. The misleading 503 in the page title weirded me out, but just look at the page. I guarantee it's not broken.Battleship is utterly broken as well guys. I should not be able to play an entire game without getting hit once. just not possible lol. Those are your download links, the first set is for an installer, the second for a portable zip.Now, for football, your goal is to pass the ball around to get a good position to make a shot and to shoot a goal. You need to memorise the player positions.1, 2 and 3 are your left, center and right defenders next to your goal. 4, 5, 6 and 7 are your mid fielders, again from left to right, while 8, 9 and 10 are your attackers and usually you'll want to make the shots with them. When the game starts, it will announce who has the ball, and in what direction the best pass is. IE it might say red 5 with the ball, from the right. Which means the player 5 (the mid fielder in the center) has the ball, and the closest and safest pass he can make is to the right, which goes to player 6. So you can pass in any direction with the arrow keys, bu t you don't have to listen to the game. IE, player 5 could also try to pass forward, to player 9, which can give a better shooting position, or pass to the left tro 4 or even backward to 3. And it looks like keeping a sequence going for longer gives you a bigger chance of scoring.If you want to read help for a game which hasn't been translated, you can look on the russian site with Google Translate. As for the quiz, the game was meant to be controlled by the server, and what i mean is that there is a starting time, and when the quiz starts participants who are online can play. So it's not like all other games. However, at the moment quiz is only partially translated, so you can't really play it unless you know some Russian. As for foodball, it's a kind of random game, i can get some rules translated in case you don't figure it out and sorry if i missed something.
