Im just being a bit slow about it. Although, I expect to have it up by the weekend or so.Douglas, yes, you are correct. Many of the early betas did have keys instead of levers. That is of course something we could discuss about the new version of MOTA, because I could always reimplement the old keys system rather than the leavers.Bryan, actually swimming partially introduced in the betas. In the earlier betas there was a room filled with water where you could wade or swim but was removed in later versions. That particular feature does appear in later levels, but I think some wanted to see it back in the demos.Mohammad, Id ask not to share those old betas with the public and here is why. It is my concern that people will complain or send bug reports regarding extrem ely old versions that totally have nothing to do with the current development version. Even i8f they dont do that keep in mind some of those earlier betas were written in an older version of C# .NET and were built with an extremely buggy version of DirectX, Managed DirectX, which is no longer supported by Microsoft. I really feel concerned that people would put something that old and buggy onto their machines when newer and better versions exists. Re: mota verssions Douglas, is there any specific reason why you want beta 8? That version is from clear back in 2009 or so, was very buggy, and the latest version was like beta 22. So Im a bit confused why in the world you would want such an old and buggy version of the game when newer and more stable releases of the game are available.As to USA Games being dead that isnt true, but I do know why it seems like that. There is a lot going on in my life that isnt publicly known including medical issues, a divorce, and other things which has forced me to cut back on development and take time off. So USA Games isnt dead per se just currently inactive as I get my life back together.As for not answering your mail unfortunately I have not received any mail from you regarding Mysteries of the Ancients. I cant reply to a message I have never personally received. What e-mail address did you send it to?If perhaps you sent it to one of the USA Games addresses su ch as sales or support that would explain why I have not received any of your messages. Ive not been monitoring those addresses too closely the last few months due to the same reasons I have not been developing so an e-mail direct to my private address would get a response quicker than one of those business addresses.As for the USA Games site itself I know it is terribly out of date and needs updated. It is on my things to do, and hopefully will be receiving some badly needed updates in the not to distant future along with some other projects I have in the works. Regarding the old betas Ive come to the conclusion the best thing I can do for you and everyone else is to put up the latest beta and keep it on the USA Games site until there is a newer version available for download and play. That would probably solve a lot of these requests from people like Douglas who have a genuine interest in playing some of those old demos and betas.Guitarman, as a matter of fact Evolution 3D is still being developed as it is the engine behind Mysteries of the Ancients, Raceway, and a couple of other game projects in the works. However, it isnt like BGT and was never designed for newbies the way BGT was. Its mainly a collection of C++ libraries and tools and at the moment if one doesnt already know C++ its not going to be of much help to a new developer. So Im not sure if it would be of use to you or not.Douglas, for one thing Id never give you or anyone else a ccess to my private servers. That is for me and my site administrators alone, and I take security very seriously. So dont go there.However, in any case even if I were to do something like that you would not find any demos or betas of Mysteries of the Ancients on my servers. I took them down a long time ago, and there is nothing to download since they no longer exist in compiled executable form. The only thing I have is source backups on one of my backup drives which would need to be recompiled and reposted to the site since the original setup files were deleted in order to make room for the newer version in development. So the best I can offer is recompiling the latest public beta and posting it to USA Games for download. Very few were able to get the full version on CD, which as far as I can remember, the CDs never worked, thus a lot of refunds.
