Dear All, I want some clarification about the installation of Axapta 3.0 and 4.0 on a single system, As we have currently working on Axapta 3.0, and we planned to work on Axapta 4.0 , so we had installed every thing in a seperate system but at the same time we have to work on both the versions, even though we upgrade from 3.0 to 4.0 I have to confirm before installing the Axapta 3.0 on the Same Axapta 4.0 system . I am creating a Time and Material project where I want the costs associated with hours to accumulate in a balance sheet account (WIP) and then at time of costing, move from the balance sheet to the PL. I thought that in order to set this up, I would indicate the account setup in the Category setup as follows: Act # Cost Payroll allocation 7755 WIP cost value1236 Cost-items 5566 WIP cost value items 1238 And that I would get the following transactions: Record hours: Dr WIP- cost value items1238 Dr WIP cost value1236 Cr Payroll Allocation 7755 At Invoicing Dr Cost Cr WIP cost value 1236 Dr Cost Items 5566 Cr WIP cost value items 1238 DR AR Cr Revenue What is happening is: Record hours: Dr WIP- cost value items1238 Dr WIP cost value1236 Cr Payroll Allocation 7755 At Invoicing Dr WIP Cr WIP DR AR Cr Revenue My cost is coming out of WIP and going back to WIP. Why doesnt it hit the cost account? Is this a bug? Shouldnt the cost come out of WIP and go to Cost? When are each of the above account setups used in the process? In the above example, When is the Cost account used? (Ex above..acct )? Is there a parameter that isnt getting set. [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Changing credit hold by sales order?
I have a customer who wants to be able to set customers on a hold but release them on an order by order basis. The credit parameters are set to warn (not error) b/c they want to be able to add orders no matter what. They are currently putting customers on an 'Invoice' stop. In order to release the orders, this means they have to go into the Customer and flip the flag to 'No', pack/invoice the order, and then move the Customer back to an 'Invoice' Stop Is there any way to release just one order? Ricardo, I think I missed the beginning of this string, but let me see if you're having the same issue as I did. I was unable to 'settle' AR payments with invoices. I could post the payment but could not get it to mark against the invoice. I was previously using the European DIS layer and only had trouble when we switched to a North American DIS layer. Turns out, there is an 'issue' with the NA DIS layer. A hotfix has been created to solve this problem, so perhaps you should check with MS to see if it would also address your issue. Thanks. I have my inventory postings set up correctly and working fine for a sales order, but I am having trouble with a sales return. I would like the Return sales dollar and return costs to post to different accounts than what is used for the standard sales posting. On the order line, I can enter the account to post the sales dollars to but I cannot enter a line to override the cost posting. [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Error on Cust Tran table......Tax program effect?? URGENT
Hi All, We recently installed the BKD tax package on our system. It seemed pretty good, but yesterday we tried linking an (Acct Rec) payment receipt to an invoice in the Open transaction editing page and we got an error message that said Error executing code. The field with the ID '0' does not exist in table 'CustTrans' It was working fine before. The only difference is now we have a BKD tax pakage installed. We looked at configuration keys and noticed that the environment with BKD tax package has a modified DIS layer to include country selections for Canada Mexico. How have any of you set up charges for Material and/or Labor Overhead charges? Most companies allocate indirect costs to production costs. Other ERP systems have allowed for creating an overhead charge, but Ax doesn't. How do you set up Overhead? Can you separate Material and Labor overhead?
