Opera 6 (Linux) renders both designs so that the right edge of the
box(es) o' links on the left side of the page is bang up flush against
the text on the right of the page. It is quite unlovely. IE6
(Win2k/VMware), I notice, renders them both nicely with a space between
the right edge of the box and the text. (Suggested fix: Simply insert
between the two adjacent cells that contain the
box(es) and the text.)

FWIW, my preferences lean strongly toward the cleaner one-box design.

Actually, with the soon-to-be-released-but-currently-available-via-CVS
0.8.4 version of bbkeys, this is a separate keybinding. So, you can
have for NextWindow and for
NextWindowAllWorkspaces. This has been removed from the bbkeys.bb
config file that xOr mentioned below in version 0.8.4.

yes, it's useful and nobody wants to remove it from blackbox.

but an *additional* "all windows&icons menu" would be more useful to me:

I'm using 9 workspaces. My current workspace is 1 and i need the web
browser here. The browser is still running but i can't remember
where (and perhaps it's shaded and not on top of the screen!!).
I move through eight workspace submenus, failed to notice the

restart my search ...

How do i set this up? I only get a menu that shows the windows of the

Since we're talking about key-bindings, how would I go about using keys
that xev displays no character or keysym for? All the "windows" keys on
my keyboard return only a differing keycode. There is no keysym for
them and certainly no character. On a few other keyboards, I have extra

Still got a bottom (left/right) scroll bar in ie6 and I'm using 1024x768

YAROOH!!! =:)

LOL

Seriously, I dig this design heavily.

I may have to, um, borrow it for myself... =:)

Well, my vote still holds with http://speed.seas.upenn.edu/~rarya/bb2/

Shaleh, maybe we could set up a poll on the bb sourceforge site once the
contest "closes"?

Ah, turns out that's just dillo's half-implemented rendering, nothing
wrong with the page as far as I can see.

That's a lot better with w3m, IMHO. And it looks pretty good in dillo
0.6.2. Although it would be nice if the center column had a minimum
width specified as a percentage of the window-size. Either way, since I
do most of my browsing with w3m, and it looks good there, I like it.

Very nice, i like it. amazingly, it is very
readable with lynx, links, mozilla, or MSIE.

My one suggestion would be to move the two light grey
boxes on the right over to the left, to give more room
for the text. I usually browse with a non-maximized
mozilla window, so my first impression of your page was a
lot of 3-word lines squeezed in the middle of four large
and imposing grey boxes. :-)

  Very nice with Mozilla 0.9.7

Can't scroll far enough in Nutscrape 4.79 to see the boxes on the right side!

This doesn't look very well IMO. In a 80x24 term the page is divided
into three equal-width cols, middle one running much longer than the
other two, of course. It's ridiculous amount of wasted space, not to
mention that it's not comfortable to read.
