[BVARC] Free CD-Rs

2023-06-12 Thread Chris Medlin via BVARC
Im in the process of moving and discovered that I have a pack of about 75 blank
CD-Rs. They are free to a good home if you need/want them.

[If you don't have a burner, I discovered back in my network engineering days
that they make great throwing stars/discs, with the file cabinet drawer cracks
as the target. Good times, but I digress...]

If you are interested, you can pick them up from me in Katy or Missouri City.
We can coordinate something. Im tired of them following me around and I don't
want to throw them away.

complete copy of The Easy Way.about 96 pages long. I have put it on
my list of "to be found" books and antenna information. That list is
currently very short, as I have, luckily, been able to find in the past 10
years, everything that I desired.

Let's keep looking in all of the on-line book stores. A copy will pop up.

Anyone on the reflector have a copy of the book? I'd be willing to copy
it and digitize it for the benefit of the group.

Thanks and 73...Rick -- W5RH

You do hear a lot of nonsense about antennas and grounds and stuff.

At least I think it's nonsense.  I skimmed some of the articles in the
PDF and it seems like the writer thought of as nonsense some of the same
stuff that I think of as nonsense.  So, I dodged a bullet there.

[BVARC] Free Vertical Antennas

2015-10-30 Thread Rick Hiller via BVARC
If you are looking for a vertical antenna, I might have just what you need.

Take 1,2 or all 3.

I have:

2 Cushcraft R5 -- 5 band 10,12,15,17,20 meter verticals

1 Cushcraft R4 - 4 band 10,12,15,20 meter vertical

Details at: http://www.cushcraftamateur.com/

They are free for the taking, but there are caveats..

   They all need TLC

They all need some minor parts (base section, traps, hats,
radials, matching boxes are all there)

No Manuals - easily downloaded from the Cushcraft website

You cannot return them to me.

   They come with no guarantee.

They are ready to be picked up at my house in SW Houston or at my work in
West Chase ( I will not deliver).

Each package is, at most, 7 feet long, about 8 inches in diameter.

E-mail me or call me 832-474-3713.
