Can this be HSRP on a single router [7:40995]

2002-04-09 Thread Nuurul Basar Mohd Baki

Hai,

I've recived a config that contain a sound like HSRP on a single router.
The function is for Serial 0 to back up Serial 1 and vice versa.
I am unable to see how does it works :(
Can some help me on this

Interface serial1/1
bandwidth 128
no ip addres
encaps fr
fr lmi-type ansi

interface serial1/1.2 point-to-point
bandwidth 64
ip address *.*.*.89 255.255.255.252
no arp fr
fr interface-dlci 21

!

interface serial 1/2
bandwidth 128
no ip address
ecnaps fr ietf
fr lmi-type ansi

interface serial 1/2.8 point-to-point
badwidth 64
ip address *.*.*.89 255.255.255.252
fr interface-dlci 21

!

* The link is not having any load balancing configured on it.
* If serial 0 is down all route will be auto rerouted to S1

Question:

1) How those this works ?, since both subinterface is having the same ip
address.
2) From the branch site, how do they chose the correct route?.
3) Can this be define as HSRP ?

I hope that some one can help me on this matters.

Thanks

What's Up Gold (WUG) isn't that bad and it's much cheaper.

It's just a pinging machine to see if "stuff" is still up. I'm not sure
if
you meant CW or maybe Netview or Openview.

Did you want to find a tool that has a map and shows you when things go
down
as turning red and generating an alert of sorts? Or did you want to
capture
snmp traps for config changes?

My best suggestion is :

Help regarding Dynamic Vlan Using URT [7:26456]

2001-11-16 Thread Nuurul Basar Mohd Baki

Hai,

I am wondering if there is some one who have impliment Dynamic Vlan using
URT server. Currently our Dynamic Vlan project with URT works fine with NT
logins. All the user was able to change the IP and Vlan ID according to the
correct settings. Sadly the Novell IPX did not changes, user is currently
using Novell 4.1. After the user reassing to it Vlans and IP, the IPX is
still grabing the start IPX address instead changing to the correct IPX
address.

Is there a know bug or problem with Novell 4.1 migrating with URT?.
Currently we have not yet recived a good response from TEC or local Cisco

Thanks

some data from a third party vendor. In oreder for me to dial in, the
vendor only recognized one particular ip which i have put inside my
interface dialer. Then once connected the radius/dhcp sever over the other

I think 105min is the standard time (30 mins additional) if the exam is
taken in non-English speaking countries, probably to give more time to
candidates to refer a dictionary (that's provided in the Test Center). I
took my CCNA in Taiwan and it was also 105 min (now there's a tip for
English-speaking foreigners taking Cisco exams overseas).

Taking the 640-604 switching exam within the next week or two and my
research shows, from the cisco site, although there was HSRP and ATM LANE
questions on the 640-503 exam, these topis are not included on the 640-604
exam.

Just wanted to confirm, thanks.
