But since you brought them up KC and the Sunshine Band had sales of over 75 million records, nine Grammy nominations, three Grammy Awards and an American Music Award. With hits GET DOWN TONIGHT, THATS THE WAY (I LIKE IT) and SHAKE YOUR BOOTY established KC the Sunshine Band . Along with the Beatles, KC is the only new artist to have four number one singles in the span of the year: BOOGIE SHOES, GET DOWN TONIGHT, THATS THE WAY (I LIKE IT), and ROCK YOUR BABY. But who really cares . . . . KC (without any band) in SJ

Thanks Rick, My feelings exactly. It is wonderful to know people care on this site. I have been blessed many times over by kind things said to others that was definitely not Doobie related. I agree there is a definite purpose for the site, but it is nice to read a Thank You or Well wish to someone at times!!! Thanks for explaining it as well as you did!!! Ditto Wanda Adkins

You will also find postings that seem off topic, such as the toy drive, blood drive or various benefits for the NVF that are not. These are causes that are important to the Doobies and we have tried to do our part to help. Some people (who shall remain nameless but her initials are Cinderella) post things that have no purpose except to be strange and amuse people. We look forward to them. We are just here to have fun in a Doobie kind of way. If things get out of hand (as they sometimes do) our fearless leader steps in and puts us back on track. Sit back and enjoy the ride. Miles, Thanks for your concern.I can't talk for Glenn and the others but things around my place are fine... I was about 10-15 miles from the epicenter, outside and safe. RE: non doobie - thank you
Steve: Last July on the opening night of Moondance Jam here in Minnesota, STYX was on stage right before the Doobies closed the show. I have to admit I was a bit worried that after the high-action, theatrical performance that STYX put on, it might be hard for the Brothers to top them. But of course, superior music always wins out and the Doobs gave us a great finish. I don't think that the two bands were actually touring together, however, as the Doobies played a casino solo in the Twin Cities the night before and about a month later, STYX played the Minnesota State Fair with REO Speedwagon. All in all, that opening night was one of the best days of music I've ever encountered. A local band opened followed by Leon Russell, Creedance Clearwater Revisited, STYX and then the Doobies. --Thor _ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com _ To unsubscribe from this list, send a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with "unsubscribe doobiefans-list" in the body.

Re: Non-Doobie Material FW: Important Read
I'd really like to request that people put in the "subject" area of their e-mails: (1) Doobie Bros.; or (2) Non-Doobie Brothers Material. In this way, I (and anyone else) will know immediately that the e-mail is part of the list as well as the subject matter being circulated. No offense to those that seek to send around e-mails about non-Doobie material, and I don't mean to suggest that sending non-Doobie material is inappropriate, but it would really help those of us that might not wish to read non-Doobie material (or maybe we're on the road with a limited amount of time between meetings to sign onto our accounts and read important e-mail) to delete those other posts regarding a virus, or other subjects. I appreciate your time and consideration of others, and sincerely hope that you are not offended by my request. Alan
