[e-gold-list] turing number
Hi, There is a simple way to make the e-gold account much safer. One could allow users to respond to the turing number in different ways, as an optional extra security. For example if the turing number is 534712 , my response could be 217435 (reverse order), or perhaps 712534, or 465287,.. There are really many possibilities to alter the turing number in a formulaic way, known by the user (easy to remember) and also known by the e-gold server as a special setting in the account setup. This way the e-gold server can quickly check if the user responds to the turing number in the right way. This makes it much more difficult to crack an account because even if you know somebody's passphrase and have found a way to scan the turing number (as someone has demonstrated), you still don't know what is the right way to respond to the turing number. Some examples of easy to remember possibilties: turing number: abcdef123456 reverse: fedcba 654321 shift 3 numbers: defabc456123 fixed change of 3rd digit: ab4def124456 summation: a+b+c+d+e+f21 summation + fixed number: a+b+c+d+e+f + 500 521 Once this becomes possible, I would like to have the option to have an automatic email message sent to me whenever sombody tries to log into my account , with the correct password but wrong response to the turing number. This would mean that somebody has found my passphrase and is trying to crack the turing code. It alerts me to change the passphrase. What do you think? Hello, my name is Jodi and I am writing you in regards to your Liberty Impact ezine I just read. Thank you for putting this kind of information out there for people to read. JMR Unfortunately, most of people's money is in the corralito, so it would be foolish to try to sell anything to someone here. In fact, 25000 businesses have already closed their doors only in this month. Besides, I'm a little scared of telling people about e-gold. DGC's give people the freedom of not storing their money in the banking system. I don't know what the government would do if it finds out about Argentines buying e-gold. The gov. bastards can do anything, even forbidding people of buying gold or US$. They were already thinking in forbidding to sell dollars. Remember: Argentine government intends to destroy the country and starve us all. They are not what the average person would expect from a government, they are the enemy. ZET is the currency for the digital world and it has parity with the US dollar. So it is easy to evaluate and maintain. In simple terms, ONE ZET = ONE USD. That totally cracked me up, at the least. You certainly need to be aware of local govmint policies... and if they go agin you, your family, personal family security, race, and yes, even your particular religion or belief, then you very quietly make a way of escape. Even if it is... you start again, in a safer place. Thousands of ex patriot Iranian folks are in France at present, trying to break their way into England! Why?
