Criminals are persistent. It's easy to demand JMR zero crime, but hard to cause it. So WHAT exactly should JMR e-gold do about this, besides what they're already doing? What I want point is that e-gold has often some strange attitude: Putting balance limits on some accounts where people simply do not WANT to tell about their address for good reasons, and in the same way, allowing massive scams as long as scammers simply pay for a true address anywhere in the world (pay with e-gold :-) Moreover, when a new e-gold account suddenly receives hundreds of payments, from a website that is easily checkable, I think that it is EASY to detect a scam ! And I am sure that e-gold has systems to detect such things on the accounts. So, WHY doesn't e-gold simply lock any account, regarding the nature of the website ? Censorship ? No, simply the right of a commercial company to avoid beeing involvd in scams ! And what I want also show is that there are 2 different attitudes: One regarding e-gold that has all rights and one regarding the market-makers that are crucified as soon as they make the same thing than e-gold (allowing scams). The fact that there was an open port (31337) shows that your protection wasn't good. It seems to show that a trojan was installed. The fact that Anti-Trojan didn't find anything shows simply nothing, I can develop a trojan that is not detected in a couple of hours (minutes ?!). Most of antivirus detect only KNOWN virus, that means that if I write a new virus (or trojan), it will not be detected by MOST of the AV. The only AV that can (CAN) detect unknown virus/trojan is DrWeb and, a bit less, AVP. I made tests on Norton and McAfee writing a virus, or even just making modifications on an existing one, and none of these software detected it. The firewall, if it is well configured, should BLOCK this port. The basic rule is to BLOCK ALL UNLESS WHAT YOU ALLOW, and NOT the opposite. Is your port still open now ?! Hi, I need *urgently* a javascript code and a small cgi. It will take less than an hour for a guy used to deal with JS. $100 by e-gold seems a good deal. Requirements: + Javascript for a html form: ++ 2 TEXT fields (T1 and T2): MUST contain something inside. One field (F1) is a selection by RADIO button, of 1 number in a table of 5: Be sure that one radio has been selected (No default is selected). One field (F2) is a selection (CHECKBOX) of 4 numbers in a table of 10. Be sure that EXACTLY 4 are selected. The value selected in F1 (one number) will be displayed in another small TXT window. The value selected in F2 (five numbers) will be sorted and displayed in another small TXT window. The contents of these 2 small windows are live. Mean that if the user UNselects a checkbox, or selects another radio button, the value will be removed/changed from the TXT window. Etc. If any error: a simple POPUP box telling where the error is (which field is not correct). After the guys clicks on the POPUB button, he can correct his mistakes. If all is OK in the form, so : + CGI + The form must be treated by a CGI script, that will simply create a list of values entered in every box: One value for each TEXT box (T1, T2) One value for the RADIO button selection (F1), 5 different values for the CHECKBOX selection (F2[1], F2[2], ..., F2[5]) The faster will get the deal :) Any question ? Hi, Sorry to disturb here again, but it can be interesting for a few of us to see how Goldchanger now treats his clients. I am very disappointed by this company, that my Clients and I used since they opened. The question today is to know if they have turned into a scam, or if their staff and management team are completely unable to do their job. One of my Clients has been sent cash, April 17th, to Goldchanger. Today, May 11th, 24 days later, NO cash on his egold account. And the letter HAS been received by GC, the client got the receipt. He sent 3 emails to GC without any reply, BUT yesterday. Is it because I began to post here on this topic ? That's funny (?) to see how GC reads the emails..and replies: My Client told: ++ One of our [xxx] custommers sent by registered letter ++ $150 to be credited on my account [account number], April 17th. Goldchanger replied (this and only this:) ++ When was it sent. Please be patient with us, we are very busy. Great ! GC doesn't read the emails, and asks the Client to not disturb them. And of course, NO money on the Client's account. So what to do ? My Client is ready to flood GC mailbox.. Finally, maybe that he had a good idea... ? FZ Their ISP refuses to shut them down. We called them FZ from the Netherlands, the server refuses to shut them FZ down. We are dependent for those in the US, ie FZ e-gold/GSR/Omnipay to do something. I think that as FZ the providor refuses to listen that action should be FZ taken against them. We have forwarded it to the FZ authorities, here in the Netherlands, but obviously, FZ as it is cross border, they cannot react that fast. The best way seems to hack the domain, by changing their DNS, so that www.e-QOLD.com can link to www.fbi.gov or something like that :) Illegal, but would they prosecute the hacker, hmmm ? Hi, For a Client, we are *urgently* looking for a "virtual office Service". The Client is always travelling in some "wild countries" in Africa and Asia. If he can access email quite easily, postal Service are generally not seriously available (3/4 weeks when the mail isn't lost, etc). He is looking for a Service who would: 1- Receive snailmail from his contacts, scan the letters and email to him. Paper material will be kept and sent every 2 or 3 months upon instructions. 2- Receive emails from him, to his contacts; print the emails, and snailmail to his contacts (Europe and North America). No courrier service, no registered mail, packages, etc. Only "ordinary" letters. Volume will be between 10 and 20 "exchanges" by month. Fees will be paid my egold, by month or by quarter. We would like the kids to be able to SEE the balance of their account, but NOT to do any operation (Send, pay, etc), until we authorize them, by sending the password for example.
