YS I 17 vitarka-vicaaraanandaasmitaanugamaat saMprajñaataH. vitarka-vicaara*+aananda-asmitaa+anugamaat saMprajñaataH. Shearer's "commentary-ish" translation: The settled mind is known as samaadhi. In saMprajñaata-samaadhi the settled state is accompanied by mental activity: first on the gross level, (card: vitarka) then on the subtle level, (vicaara) then a feeling of bliss, (aananda) and finally the sense of pure I-AM-ness ([I] am-ness: asmi-taa). I 18 viraamapratyayaabhyaasapuurvaH saMskaara-sheSo 'nyaH. viraama-pratyaya-abhyaasa-puurvaH saMskaara-sheSaH; anyaH. After the repeated experience of the settling and ceasing of mental activity [card: e.g. during PV TM?] comes another (anyaH) samaadhi. So, in the original suutra, the word samaadhi is implied, or stuff. But why does Patañjali use the pronoun anyaH (other) instead of "simply" asaMprajñaataH (opposite of saMprajñaataH)? If he'd used the latter, the suutra would go like this: viraamapratyayaabhyaasapuurvaH saMskaara-sheSo 'saMprajñaataH. So, because of the rules of external sandhi, the word asaMprajñaataH would lose its initial short a-sound, as in the case of 'nyaH instead of anyaH, BUT the form saMskaara-sheSo instead of saMskaara-sheSaH (if the following word was saMprjñaataH, without the initial negative prefix a) would reveal that the word is asaMprajñaataH, NOT saMprajñaataH! Who were the ancient proponents if there were any? Classical proponents? If the Ageless Wisdom is a compendium, who directed its organization and when? Q. Many here in America are extremely disappointed following the ‘recession’ or market crash of 2008 to find few meaningful reforms in the wake of this devastating economic crisis for so many. Markets are flourishing amidst pernicious cut-throat practices that Maitreya says “benefit the few at the expense of the many”; even new claims like the 31 March 2014 CBS Programme 60 Minutes which featured claims from author Michael Lewis that the US Stock Market is rigged; so I was not too surprised when your Master in the April 2014 issue of Share International suggested that the “ever-increasing commercialization of every aspect of life today is, in itself a ‘time bomb’ whose rupture will bring the present economic structure to its knees. ... This time is not far off”. This language sounds strangely reminiscent of the warnings that preceded the 2008 crash. (1) Is this the Law of Cause and Effect in action? (2) Will this event constitute yet another wake-up call for international markets and hopefully prepare the world for the wise and sane council of Maitreya? (3) Can this forecast possibly be more ominous in its ramifications for worldwide suffering in the short term before the Day of Declaration? A. (1) Yes. (2) Hopefully, yes. (3) Not universally but in some countries. Q. I have been reading in the Islamic hadiths about a prophesied man named the Mahdi. These hadiths were written about 1,400 years ago, and yet they describe a good man and a powerful leader who is to come and guide the Islamic faithful into peace, order and happiness. According to large numbers of the Shia faithful, including the leaders of Iran and Hezbollah, this man is on the planet now, just waiting in the wings for the correct moment to step forward and reveal himself. Is the promised Mahdi indeed just “off-stage”? Is he actually Maitreya? Or will he act hand-in-hand with Maitreya? A. As Christians await the coming of the Christ, and Buddhists await Maitreya Buddha, so do Muslims await the Imam Mahdi. These are all names for one and the same: Maitreya, who is working in the world, although at present incognito. more anti-women but I doubt they would see that to be the case. Q. In April 2013 the Queen of the Netherlands abdicated in favour of her son, who is now the King, King Willem-Alexander. (1) Should the UK's Queen Elizabeth do the same? (2) What is the importance of a monarchy to a country and its people? (3) Surely, in our times it is time to change over to a republican form of government without hereditary figures? A.(1) That is for her to decide. (2) It can provide a unifying principle for the country. That is the claim put forward by all nations which have a monarchy. It is obviously not the only way to bring about unity but it is chosen by some. (3) I would support this view but it is obviously not the view of everyone. Q. We read Share International magazine with great interest. Coincidentally, we have read that Italian scientist Andreas Rossi is soon to market (April 2013) a cold-fusion low-energy nuclear reactor (LENR) device, the E-Cat (energy catalyser), using a highly controversial, debunked and unproven method of nuclear cold-fusion. (1) As cold-fusion has been predicted by Benjamin Creme, since 1979, and a breakthrough announcement was made to an astonished world by Professors Fleischman and Pons in 1989, which was soon scientifically debunked, what are we to make of the new E-Cat device and process? (2) Would it be correct to believe that cold fusion energy generation is attainable, practical, and soon to emerge, to an energy-hungry and desperate world? (3) Would it also be correct to believe that the 1989 announcement, by Professors Fleischman and Pons, was discredited by scientists representing very vested interests, for example, those with much to gain from the continuation of a world reliance on oil? Any comments and updates on this remarkable cold-fusion process would be very interesting. A. (1) My information is that this device is useable but is not the ideal, the most efficient, method of harnessing the fusion process. It is a step only in that direction. The Master Djwhal Khul, though Alice Bailey, has predicted a fusion process which will be attained through a simple isotope of water, which of course is available worldwide. Andreas Rossi's process is not the same. (2) Yes, very much so. (3) I am afraid that this is true. Q. I would like to ask you a question about one of your paintings, `The Flame Coloured Deva'. I know that this painting is an embodiment of the fiery, 1st Ray energy of Will and Power, as you put it. When I look at it, I feel myself empowered, but at the same time, I sense a strange cold sensation. Is this cold sensation really related to this painting? Is this related to the 1st ray? Also, I would like to ask you what paintings of yours have a healing effect. A. The radiation of the 1st Ray is that of electricity, which essentially is without heat. I would say that most of my pictures have a healing effect. Q. (1) Could you please clarify the truth about all the allegations levelled against the spiritual Avatar Sai Baba who is now deceased? What does Benjamin Creme's Master have to say about all the awful stuff he is accused of? (2) Why was it allowed that the truth was never revealed that Jesus was not the Christ? How could the Christian religion have been deceived for 2,000 years and why? A. (1) In the June 1992 issue of Share International Benjamin Creme answered a similar question: It goes without saying that a Being of the stature of Sai Baba could never be involved in such practices. He is unbelievably advanced and there is nothing in Him which could respond to the pull of such activities. Hearsay and gossip abound in the gathering of the great numbers who are drawn to His ashram. This is inevitable. Most are enriched by the experience of His presence but there are those whose hearts are closed and whose response is one of envy and spite. It is the trees with the richest offering of fruit which attract the stones. (2) It is not a question of deception, it is a question of lack of knowledge and of misinterpretation. Q. (1) Speaking very generally, is Alzheimer's Disease ever part of the soul's plan and purpose in an individuals' life? (2) If not part of the plan of the soul for a particular life, is it not personal but rather the result of a shared human karma caused by pollution? (3) If a person has an early diagnosis of Alzheimer's would you agree that a timely arrangement for euthanasia might be the best option? If you do not agree could you please explain why not? A. (1) No. It is a purely physical state. (2) To some extent, yes. (3) No, no one ever knows exactly what lies around the corner. Q. (1) Does all suffering, on whatever level, lead automatically to personal development and growth of consciousness? (2) If a person suffers knowing that they are descending further into a worsening condition of Alzheimer's, would that suffering automatically bring about the person's spiritual evolution? A. (1) No, by no means. (2) No.

(3) Are Maitreya's television interviews broadcast throughout Russia? (4) Have any of His Russian interviews reached Poland, the Baltic States, former Soviet Republic or Eastern Bloc countries? (1) Is the large and growing gap between the rich and poor in Russia a factor in making Russians particularly open to Maitreya's ideas about economic reform and sharing? (2) Many Russians long for the old era when communism held sway; are Maitreya's ideas seen as being a return to communism? A. (1) Yes, probably. (2) By some, yes. Q. Has Maitreya given any interviews in Argentina? A. No. Q. If they believe in Maitreya, can anyone channel His ideas? A. No, I am afraid not. Many people claim to `channel' Maitreya and think it is actually happening to them, but to transmit messages from Maitreya to the world requires a long period of training which eventuates in being able to receive this overshadowing presence. There are seven authentic disciples, all in different parts of the world, who are being used by Maitreya to anchor His energies. It is not so much a question of giving information or messages, but in most cases more a question of representing Him. Apart from these seven disciples, there are many people who mistakenly think they are `channelling' Maitreya, but this is not the case. It is glamour. Q. How dangerous do you think North Korea is now? A. North Korea is dangerous because it is young and feels powerful and longs to be seen to be powerful. At the moment, though, I believe it is sabre-rattling only. Q. How do you think the rest of the world should deal with North Korea? (1) Ignore its threats? (2) Apply more sanctions? (3) Begin trade talks? (4) Offer aid? (5) Which countries are best placed to approach North Korea to attempt rapprochement? A. (1) No. (2) No. (3) Yes. (4) Yes. (5) South Korea and China. Q. What percentage of radiation from the Fukushima nuclear power station disaster (including the radiation still being released there) have the Space Brothers neutralized? A. 60 per cent. Q. To what extent does the radiation from the Fukushima disaster still pose a health risk to the people of Japan either people living close to Fukushima or farther away? A. There is still a risk because around 30 per cent of radiation remains varying from place to place. Obviously the closer to Fukushima, the greater is the risk. Q. In answer to questions in Share International in May 2011 about the Fukushima disaster, you said: So far, no countries have been impacted by nuclear radiation coming from Japan. And, So far, the only people affected by radiation are those living in the north eastern part of Japan. However, a news story on the Common Dreams website reported, According to a new study published in the Open Journal of Pediatrics, children born in Alaska, California, Hawaii, Oregon and Washington between one week and 16 weeks after the meltdown began are 28 per cent more likely to suffer from congenital hypothyroidism (CH) than were children born in those states during the same period one year earlier. Were children on the west coast of the United States affected in this way by the Fukushima disaster, as the medical study indicates? If so, where else were children affected by the disaster? A. The West Coast of the US was not directly affected by the Fukushima disaster. Q. Could you please give the ray structure and point of evolution of Margaret Thatcher (1925-2013), former British Prime Minister? A. S: 2; P: 1 (6); M: 6 (1); A: 6 (2); Ph: 7 (1). PoE: 1.7. Q. (1) Could you please comment on Margaret Thatcher and her legacy? Adored by some, loathed by others, she seems, some commentators say, to have polarised the country. Did she? (2) This is pure glamour. Britain has been `great' and will be great again in a completely different way. It has a most important role to play in the future alignment of the nations of the world. By all the divisions that she helped to create in the British social system, putting it back at least 50 years. Q. Could you say what you think Hugo Chavez's influence has been in Venezuela and Latin America? A. I would have thought that his influence in Venezuela is fundamental and long lasting. Other Latin American nations do not have the oil reserves of Venezuela but the immediate response to Chavez's death of, for example, Bolivia and Argentina, are sincere and full of promise. Q. Chavez was popular with most Venezuelans but disliked by the American establishment; is it true that the US tried to have Chavez assassinated? A. No. Q. Do you think that Chavez was one of a group of fairly enlightened and relatively advanced leaders who have come to power in `recent' years in Latin America? A. Yes, clearly so. From his point of evolution he is ahead of most leaders in the world. Q. Was Hugo Chavez sometimes inspired by a Master or Maitreya he was apparently generous, altruistic and idealistic. A. Yes, by the Master Jesus. Q. There are rumours that a lot of money was syphoned off by the Chavez family from oil reserves. Is this true? A. Absolutely not. It is anti-Chavez propaganda. Q. Spring, we hope, is on its way in the northern hemisphere and with it come the three major spiritual festivals of Easter, Wesak and the Christ Festival. (1) Can we look forward to a significant boost in the spiritual energies transmitted by the Lord Maitreya and the Masters? (2) Could it be that the stimulus provided at this time of the year will speed up the needed changes? Do you think we will see marked changes in 2013 in (3) the effectiveness of people power, (4) genuine moves towards establishing a just settlement in the Middle East, especially Palestine, and (5) a powerful and effective peace movement demanding the end of war? A. (1) Yes. We are, even now, in a period which the Masters call a `spiritual push'. (2) Yes. (3) Yes. (4) No. (5) Yes. Q. With the resignation of the Pope, is it possible and likely that the Master Jesus will become the new Pope? A. No. Q. Do you think that Pope Benedict changed for the better during his Papacy? A. Yes. Q. A 10-meter-diameter meteor recently landed in western Siberia killing no one; shattered glass caused many injuries but only 50 people were hospitalised. In more or less the same period a 45-meter asteroid passed relatively close to the Earth. In 2008 a 4-meter-long rock exploded in the sky some 37 kilometers above the Nubian Desert in Sudan. The last large detonation of a 40-meter asteroid was also over an unpopulated part of Siberia in 1908. Do the Masters of our Spiritual Hierarchy and the Space Brothers play any role in diverting meteors from landing in populated parts of the world? A. Yes. Q. In the section of `Letters to the Editor' (SI, April 2012 issue http://share-international.org/magazine/old_issues/2012/2012-04.htm#l2e\ d ) there was a letter titled `Timely Visit'. In the letter, the man who was confirmed to be the Master Jesus said: I think that this year, 2012, will be a crucial year. An important year. Something is going to happen. Something positive. It must happen now, otherwise we're lost. It can't continue as it is. But there's hope. The people must play their part. I wonder if any positive thing has already happened? Could this be the marches and other protests for justice all over the world? A. Yes, people throughout the world are crying out for change for justice and sharing, for jobs, a sense of well-being and peace. Q. Is it correct that Maitreya forecast the fall of Communism? A. He forecast the break up of the Soviet Union, which is not the same thing. Q. I read that the coming time is to be the age of women. I also read that the Masters were the inspiration behind the Women's Movement. Will the Masters guide humanity to create a more balanced attitude towards women? A. Yes. Q. The austerity measures in Britain are causing misery, suffering and deprivation; how is it possible that the British are not out on the streets in their millions? A. Perhaps the suffering has not gone far enough yet. The British have a strong sense of national unity and are slow to demonstrate. Q. Recently, I have learned that there is a Japanese Non Profit Organization which helps couples who cannot have children because of wives' physical problem. The way of its assistance is egg donation. A couple receives an egg from an unrelated donor. The donor gives it for free. Our government is co-operative to the activity, and no argument or objection has arisen among people after the donation project was broadcast through television. The TV program also told about Japanese women who went to other countries to give their eggs for profit. Most people may feel that it is too delicate an issue to raise an objection because they can guess the mind of the woman who wants a child but cannot have one due to her physical problem. Even so, I think that it is not only the misuse of technology and money but also selfish and indiscreet behaviour. The egg donation would generate

Q. (1) Did the Syrian authorities use chemical weapons in Homs recently? (2) Have chemical weapons been used against the opposition forces in other parts of Syria? A. (1) No. (2) No. Q. What is your opinion of carbon emissions trading? A. It is dishonest and does not help the fabric of the planet. Q. Is nuclear pollution the worst aspect of environmental destruction? A. Yes. Q. (1) Just as there will be an emergency plan in the short term to feed the starving and the malnourished, do the Masters have a blueprint about what needs to be dealt with as a matter of urgency with regard to the terrible degradation we have caused to our planet? (2) What will be the first emergency tasks to save our planet? A. (1) Yes. (2) Clearly, a lessening of the `carbon footprint' of everyone on the planet. Q. Is the skeleton that was exhumed in a carpark in Leicester, England, in September 2012, really that of King Richard III? A. Yes, it was King Richard III, maligned by Shakespeare and of course the Tudor dynasty. Q. Given that Benjamin Creme wrote on page 19 of his book The Gathering of the Forces of Light: UFOs and Their Spiritual Mission that the Day of Declaration would take place within three years of Maitreya's first television interview, and that we are now past the three years. Obviously something has changed that is fine, things do as we know. Would Benjamin be kind enough to inform us of where things now stand. Are the books being printed now still stating this three-year timescale? I believe it is necessary to clarify this situation, because people are going to ask us about it as we spread the message about Maitreya. A. Yes, things do change. Throughout my years of work I have been asked with various degrees of manipulation, how soon Maitreya would appear in so many weeks, months, years, in my lifetime (given my mature age) etc. It has always been quite difficult to satisfy this quite natural question, which everyone wants to know. The fact is nobody knows. I don't, my Master says He does not, even Maitreya does not exactly. Nevertheless, every time, pushed to the point by questions for some date, I ask the Master, He always says in about three years, and at the time He says it, it sounds logical. It sounds vague, not a hard set date. Remember, that to the Masters, there is no such thing as time. If you read the actual answer in the book you will see that it is less cut and dried than you suggest: Maitreya is emerging very soon. The Day of Declaration could be anytime from a year to two or three years after His first television interview. The Masters and Maitreya Himself seem to think that the time will be relatively very short indeed. But whatever the timing, these four spacecraft [Maitreya's `stars'] will remain in the heavens, seen by an increasing number of people. Hopefully the media of the world will become more and more open to reporting on these `stars'. Q. In a recent interview with Benjamin Creme (seen on YouTube), Mr Creme stated that Maitreya is in a physical body He created for Himself, but He can change His appearance at will, and can look quite hideous and grotesque. The question in mind is, why would a being of light and love wish to look hideous or grotesque? A. If you knew the variety of appearances that Maitreya has adopted over the years you would be amazed at the flexibility which He displays. He can look like a young and beautiful woman, a gnarled old man, a toothless jibbering clown, in a huge variety of clothes, sensible or hysterical. He is still a being of light and love but adopts a persona exactly fitted to the occasion and to the hopes or prejudices of those who are blessed by His presence. Q. What do you think of the 7th day Sabbath and why people keep Sunday? A. Sunday, or the Sabbath, is meant to be a day of rest and if people have worked hard they need a rest. I believe that all people need more time for leisure, to find themselves and give of their best, that is from a creative point of view. One of the mistakes of our modern `civilization' is that so many people today spend most of their working life in conditions of mechanical drudgery. Leisure is an essential part of life. Q. I watched a documentary about Babu (Ambilike Mwasapila), a 76 year-old protestant priest in the small village of Samunge, near Loliondo, in northern Tanzania, who has given `miracle water' to over 5,000 people since 2011. In 1991 he had a dream in which he believes God spoke to him and showed him a woman with AIDS, and told him which medicine could be given to her to heal her from this disease. When Babu woke up, he wondered how a tree could heal AIDS when even doctors can't heal it? The roots of a Karanga plumtree called Enga Muriaga, is used to produce the special drink: the roots are cooked in hot water over night and next day the people are given a cup to drink. Babu says it is only a healing water when you swallow the drink straightaway and don't carry it home. People

A. Because we, the people, are not sufficiently organised and inspired. But wait, this is beginning to begin. Q. Do you think momentous events will take place this year? In the sense of irrevocable turning points in humanity's collective experience such as a fundamental shift in our attitude, for example, to how we treat our planet; or that enough people might realise the terrible cost of commercialisation? A. There are only a few months left of the year and the above will certainly not be achieved in that time. Masters do not tell fortunes and there is no magic formula. It is a case of gradual realisation and the will to change. Q. Is there still such a large surplus of food in the world? Mr Creme, you often talk about the food that lies rotting in the world's storehouses; but just lately there have been such poor harvests in many countries. Perhaps there is less food stored than previously thought? A. Yes probably, but two thirds only of the food produced is actually used the rest is wasted. Q. NASA has film taken by Curiosity on Mars which show quite a number of objects, which look a lot like spacecraft. (1) Did Curiosity, the Mars Rover vehicle, really film some UFOs? (2) Do you happen to know whether NASA has acknowledged this either privately or publicly? A. (1) Yes. (2) I do not know. Q. The recent Rover that NASA landed on Mars, called Curiosity, is nuclear powered. Are the people on Mars now keeping an eye on the Rover and cleaning up its nuclear pollution? A. No. Q. The Americans have just landed Curiosity on Mars, with many cameras. It seems that it would be a wonderful, playful and non-threatening greeting and introduction for a few people on that planet to go over and give us a wave or make a pile of rocks. It would be simple and neighbourly, and much less ambiguous than the spaceship appearances and crop circles. Might someone connected with Share International have the ability to suggest this to the folks on Mars? A. The Space Brothers do not work in this way they work in such a way as to not infringe our free will. They are not desperately anxious to be recognised. Q. Apparently people are worried about a gigantic cloud coming our way: a new study of an unusual, elongated hydrogen cloud, known as Smith's Cloud, shows it's on a collision course with the Milky Way. What effect, and when, will this cloud have on our planet? A. Is it not strange that people always worry about the bad effect of a happening in Space, on their own local neighbourhood? This cloud `drifting' will have a highly invigorating effect on the suns and planets of our galaxy. The exact effect in Idaho or Florida is beyond my knowledge. Q. Many members of Transmission Meditation groups see themselves as volunteers working for a particular foundation or organisation for instance, Share International Foundation or Share Nederland Foundation. This is, of course, a fact. However, there's also, I gather from your books, a deeper and broader reality, which relates to the fact that you work under the inspiration and guidance of a Master of Wisdom. Could you comment please on the underlying purpose of the groups that work with you? Does emphasising the outer structure influence the inner work? A. I hope that this question comes from a new volunteer in one of the worldwide groups working for the Reappearance. Otherwise, I would think that over the years I have been talking and writing to the clouds of the air, while the audience was blissfully fast asleep. The Hierarchy of Masters never do things by halves and They make a little work go a long way. They take every opportunity to enlarge the effect of the energy generated by the activities of the groups through whom They work. The main, immediate task of the worldwide groups with whom I work is to prepare humanity for the return to the everyday world (for the first time in about 98,000 years) of a large section of the Spiritual Hierarchy of Masters of this planet. (This is generally called the Externalisation of the Hierarchy.) This process began literally in 1975 when five Masters, the forerunners of that group, entered five major spiritual centres in the world: New York, London, Geneva, Darjeeling, and Tokyo, followed soon after by another Master in Moscow and the seventh in Rome. At the same time this group of co-workers has been set another inner work. For several centuries the Masters have tried many times through different groups to achieve Their avowed aim of Group Initiation. Many Masters have worked towards this difficult task without success. What effect, and when, will this cloud have on our planet? A. Is it not strange that people always worry about the bad effect of a happening in Space, on their own local neighbourhood? This cloud `drifting' will have a highly invigorating effect on the suns and planets of our galaxy. The exact effect in Idaho or Florida is beyond my knowledge. Q. Many members of Transmission Meditation groups see themselves as volunteers working for a particular foundation or organisation for instance, Share International Foundation or Share Nederland Foundation. This is, of course, a fact. However, there's also, I gather from your books, a deeper and broader reality, which relates to the fact that you work under the inspiration and guidance of a Master of Wisdom. Could you comment please on the underlying purpose of the groups that work with you? Does emphasising the outer structure influence the inner work? A. I hope that this question comes from a new volunteer in one of the worldwide groups working for the Reappearance. Otherwise, I would think that over the years I have been talking and writing to the clouds of the air, while the audience was blissfully fast asleep. The Hierarchy of Masters never do things by halves and They make a little work go a long way. They take every opportunity to enlarge the effect of the energy generated by the activities of the groups through whom They work. The main, immediate task of the worldwide groups with whom I work is to prepare humanity for the return to the everyday world (for the first time in about 98,000 years) of a large section of the Spiritual Hierarchy of Masters of this planet. (This is generally called the Externalisation of the Hierarchy.) This process began literally in 1975 when five Masters, the forerunners of that group, entered five major spiritual centres in the world: New York, London, Geneva, Darjeeling, and Tokyo, followed soon after by another Master in Moscow and the seventh in Rome. At the same time this group of co-workers has been set another inner work. On 2 June 2012, a crop circle appeared in Manton Force, Wiltshire, which has been analysed and said to represent the Polar Clock, telling a time of 7.43pm on Saturday 4 August 2012, presumably British Summer Time. (1) Is the crop circle genuine? (2) Is the interpretation correct? A. (1) Yes. (2) No. Q. Is it possible that experience in past lives can strengthen and stimulate a line of activity or interest or talent in the next incarnation? A. Yes, very much so it often happens. Q. Do you think praise is as powerful in its effect on a child as criticism? Should parents and teachers refrain from both? A. Praise is essential; right criticism is also essential but it needs to be careful and constructive. Q. There has been a very bright star in the sky to the east. I live on the west coast of the USA, in California, in its capital Sacramento. It does not change colours or move but I think it might be the `star'. It is not always there. Four since then that makes 52 in total since the interviews started. Q. Where did these most recent interviews take place? A. In Brazil. Q. How are people responding to His ideas? A. It varies. For the poorer people His message is heart-warming and eagerly accepted. For some of the more affluent the ideas seem almost old-fashioned and irrelevant. Q. Is the ratio of people in Brazil who have seen Maitreya on television and are inspired by His ideas, as opposed to being frightened (or simply in opposition), the same ratio as US audiences? A. No. The US reaction is more sophisticated. Q. With all of the poverty in the world (Brazil has more poverty than the US, which certainly has its own share), I would have thought that the majority of people would be behind Maitreya at this point. Is it simply a case of old conditioning and habits dying hard, or are the poor generally supportive of Him, but the better off are more fearful of what they might lose? A. Exactly. Q. How would you describe the year 2011? Do you think it was a pivotal point in the evolution of the world? A. Yes. It was a pivotal point. Q. Do you think the Occupy Movement has died off because of the clamp down by city authorities? A. No. There is opposition, but it has not died off. Q. Could your Master please say how many people have been killed in the uprising in Syria since the Arab Spring began there in January 2011? [As of 14 January 2012] A. Nearly 3,000. Q. An Italian experiment appears to have proved that fundamental particles neutrinos can travel faster than light. If true the finding would overturn the most fundamental rule of modern physics that nothing travels faster than 299,792,458 meters per second. Does anything travel faster than light? A. Yes, `super' light, depending on the level of the observer. Q. (1) Will there come a day when we will work completely openly and co-operatively with the Space Brothers in the solar system, not unlike the more advanced planets work together today? Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez publicly suggested that the United States might have developed a way to give Latin American leaders cancer, after he and a few other leaders in the region were diagnosed with the disease. Did the US intelligence agency (CIA) indeed find a way to give people cancer in order to assassinate them, and have given cancer to Latin American leaders that don't support the US government's interests? A. No. Q. As a practising Buddhist, I admit an eagerness tempered with anxiousness toward the idea of a `World Teacher' coming in the name of the Maitreya. Who gets to name this coming avatar of the ages? Communist China or the Dalai Lama? A. Neither. `Maitreya' is the name of the expected World Teacher, awaited by Buddhists throughout the world. Japanese Buddhists expect Maitreya Buddha in about 350 thousand million years. No doubt the Buddhist groups have varied dates in mind. But Maitreya is the name of the existing World Teacher Who has been the World Teacher for the past 2,150 years, succeeding Gautama Buddha in that role. Maitreya will be the World Teacher for the next approximately 2,500 years, being the first World Teacher to hold that office in the Spiritual Hierarchy of Earth for two succeeding Ages. He is named Maitreya Buddha because Maitreya is His personal name. Q. I am 25 years old and I'm a `starseed' and I've always found it hard to live this way of life. I want to sell all my possessions and become a disciple of Maitreya. How can I do this? Will Maitreya start intentional communities for those who wish to start living the Aquarian lifestyle? In many parts of the world people are already experimenting with the kind of community life that you seem to long for, but there is no need to sell all your possessions. The painting Salvator Mundi is now seen by experts as a work of Leonardo da Vinci. Are they right, did Leonardo indeed paint this picture? A. Yes. Q. In an interview two experts mentioned that looking at the painting, especially the eyes, it catches you and you feel a kind of energy coming from it. Is it true? Is energy coming from that painting? A. Yes. Every painting by Leonardo radiates his energy. Q. The picture was painted between 1506 and 1513. It was lost for a very long time and later rediscovered and restored in 2011. Yes, twice. Q. How did viewers in Brazil respond? A. The response was mixed, for and against. Q. The ongoing news of the Arab Spring is wonderful but how sad if the countries revert back to old ways of inequality for women. Already talks of Sharia Law are in the news and sadly women seem to be low on the priority list. Is this something that only Maitreya can deal with? A. It would be sad indeed if Arab groups attained the present promise of freedom and democracy without extending it to all Arab women. Personally I do not expect this to be the case, in for example, Egypt or Tunisia or Libya. Many `liberated' Arab women do not oppose much of Sharia Law, seeing it as rational and useful in many cases and they're even prepared to limit their own freedoms if necessary. One has to remember that freedom for women in many Arab countries has been for long non-existent and that change takes time. If we believe in democracy we have to also believe that Muslims have the right to make their own choice of laws. I have no doubt that some of the most severe aspects of Sharia Law, particularly as used in places like Afghanistan, will take Maitreya's breadth of view to moderate. Q. Currently what is the most important work that the World Teacher is carrying out? A. From our point of view, the awakening of the spiritual nature of humanity to manifest and so to change the world for the better. Q. The Occupy movement in the United States has been criticized by some people for not having a specific set of demands which would pressure the US government to make specific changes. Others say that the Occupy movement is not a political movement, and that they are trying to create something new, and more broadly based to change society fundamentally. What is your view of this? A. I agree with this second idea. There would be no end to the demands and therefore no action if that was the only intention. Q. The International Atomic Energy Agency has recently reported that Iran is attempting to develop nuclear weapons. Do you think this report is accurate, and if so, what if anything should the world community do about this? A. My information is that this growing assumption by America, Israel and other states, is not accurate. My information is that Iran is focusing its nuclear programme, as it says, for peaceful purposes only, but that they want to develop a system where they would, if attacked, have the possibility of creating a retaliatory weapon. They want it both ways in other words they're not creating weapons of assault but want to have the possibility of retaliation if attacked. One should not forget that Israel has nuclear weapons. Q. You once said that karma is withheld until a person reaches seven years of age and even then it is mitigated until they turn 14. Also, it is only those people who are aged 14 or over who will be able to experience Maitreya's overshadowing on the Day of Declaration because their chakras will be developed enough to withstand the energy. Am I right to presume that the age of 14 in both these circumstances is not coincidental and that the chakras have to be fully formed before karma can be fully faced? A. No, you cannot assume that. The Masters see children as not fully formed `adults' until the age of 14. The child's brain would not be fully equipped to interpret the meaning and purpose of Maitreya's message. This would inevitably risk causing fear, and/or confusion. Q. What is the solution to the `gypsy question' which so vexes politicians in various countries? A. Gypsies are seen as `alien' groups in their various countries, just as immigrants are. It is to do with protecting the `citadels of wealth'. Commercialization demands by its very nature the exclusion of those poorer groups who do not fit into the privileged realms of the money-makers. There is only one solution the recognition of the oneness of all humanity and therefore the need for justice and sharing in all aspects of life. Q. Some say that the gypsies should integrate and settle down to become part of mainstream life; what is your opinion, please? A. In a democratic society gypsies have as much right to decide their own way of life as anybody else. Q. The Arab League appeared successful in brokering a peace deal with the Syrian authorities but President Assad appears to be continuing along the same lines, flouting international opinion including that of the Arab World. What can be done to help the Syrian people? A. There is a huge awakening taking place throughout the Arab world. Successful demonstrations of this can be seen in Tunisia, Egypt and Libya. (1) Does Maitreya appear during the demonstrations as He appears during His interviews? (2) Did it happen in Cairo, in Tahrir Square? (3) Will it happen in the future?(4) If the Americans begin to demonstrate like in the Arab countries, will Maitreya join them, as He appears on television? A. (1) No. (2) No. (3) No, unlikely. (4) Maitreya uses a multitude of guises suitable for each occasion. How else would He retain His anonymity? Q. The world's economic state seems more unstable and unsustainable than ever; can you comment on the current crisis? A. This economic crisis, worldwide, is inevitable. It is a symptom of the fact that the old economic principles, which have been in force for several centuries now, no longer work. The world has changed, the hearts and minds of men everywhere have changed more or less and the countries making up the whole are at too disparate levels for the economic cohesion essential for stability. It is a sure sign, predicted by Maitreya long ago, that only sharing and justice can provide the right way into the future. Q. (1) Will raising the US debt ceiling help stave off financial collapse in America? (2) Do you think it is only a stop-gap measure? A. (1) If so, only temporarily. (2) Precisely. Q. Do you think that Greece should default on its debts? A. It is not a question of `should' but only a question of `when'. Q. What lies behind the explosion of violence in many places around the UK in early August 2011? A. Social injustice. The ever-widening gaps between the richest and the poorest. Bad housing, unemployment, vicious cuts in welfare and public services. The trigger to all of this social upheaval, which remains ready to erupt at any time, was the shooting, by the police, of a young man who was apparently armed (but the police later admitted that his gun had not been fired, having first stated that he had shot at them). People have lost trust in the police, have lost trust in Parliament and feel they have nothing to lose, and took the, to my mind, wrong step of burning and trashing their own communities and others. Q. Is it just a case of opportunistic criminality? A. There was an element of that, in the general excitement of destruction. Q. Would you be able to say to what extent the rioters are simply `trouble-makers' and to what extent they are people with a genuine conscious or unconscious grievance in the face of unemployment, no prospects, extremes of poverty and wealth, social and economic injustice in general? A. As I have said above, it was a mixture of both. Q. What are the solutions to such situations? A. As ever, sharing and justice. Q. At the end of July 2011 over 100,000 Israelis took to the streets to protest against social injustice and the cost of living in Israel. Could your Master comment on whether this is the beginning of an `Israeli' spring and will it lead to a fairer society in Israel, as well as eventually in Palestine? A. It is a start in the right direction. Q. Over a year ago the `Raj Patel incident' lit up the entire media, proving that thousands of people around the world are alert to anyone who could possibly be Maitreya, incognito or not. Since then, despite that same vigilance, nobody has emerged who, rightly or wrongly, might fit the bill. If any multi-lingual Asian man (`one of us') had appeared on at least 38 TV panels, to huge audiences over the last 18-plus months, by golly they'd have spotted him by now! So why is there no media record of any such person? I know you're fed up with these questions but if we cannot find a single trace of even his incognito persona, how can we possibly respond to his ideas? I empathize with your aims and want to support Share International's work, but we need more adequate answers to these valid concerns, in order to help build the very consensus you seek. A. You are speaking for yourself. I for one, and many, many others who work with me, work hard to inform the public about the presence of Maitreya and the Masters, do not need the recognition of someone, real or unreal who fits the bill. I am informed by my Master that some 37 million people have heard this information in one way or another. Of these, about a third that is say 12 million people firmly believe in the story. Thousands of these worldwide work with me in making it known and understood. About a third, around 12 million, totally disbelieve this story and a further third, around 12 million are, like yourself, sitting on the fence, waiting for someone to be identified as Maitreya. Do you not think that if Maitreya wishes, as He does at present, to remain incognito, that He has not the intelligence to do so? When He does announce His true identity it will be on the Day of Declaration. We are not at that point yet.

Can you please give some solace if possible. (2) Will Maitreya's Day of Declaration be in any way more `sped' up for us now? A. (1) Sai Baba has died so His influence in the world will not be equal to what it was formerly, but it should be remembered that Sathya Sai Baba has predicted a third manifestation, when He will return in a few years as Prema Sai. (2) Not necessarily. The Day of Declaration has its own rhythm. Q. I would like to ask a question about the recent death of Sathya Sai Baba. Regarding your Master's information, Sai Baba embodies the energy of the Cosmic Christ, and Maitreya is the Planetary Christ. (1) Does the recent death of Sai Baba mean that his work as the Cosmic Christ to prepare humanity for the work of Maitreya, the Planetary Christ, had been finished, so humanity is ready now for Maitreya? (2) Does this also mean that Maitreya is getting closer to working completely openly with humanity so there is no need for the Cosmic Christ and the Planetary Christ to be simultaneously in the world? Thank you for your insights? A. (1) No. The question shows a misunderstanding of the purpose for Sai Baba's manifestation. Sai Baba did not come as the Cosmic Christ to prepare humanity for the work of Maitreya but for His own purposes as an Avatar. So this question does not arise. (2) Again this question does not arise. The death of Sai Baba has nothing to do with the readiness or otherwise of Maitreya to work openly in the world. Q. Sai Baba is thought to have said that He would live to be 96 years old, but he died recently aged 84 years. Was His prediction not correct? A. The following accurate explanation, from Sai Baba devotee Sri Philip M. Prasad, was published in the Malayalam Daily, in Kerala, India, on 25 April 2011: What Baba has foretold was indeed correct. According to the Roman calendar he has completed 84 years. But one can note that generally in all of Baba's discourses Baba had been referring to the star (lunar) basis in calculations. In Indian astrology there are 27 stars in a month starting with Aswathy and ending with Revathy. Accordingly a year of 12 months is composed of 324 days. Sai Baba was born on 23 November 1926. From that day till 24 April 2011 there were a total of 30,834 days. If this is divided with 324, we get 95 years and 54 days. Accordingly, under the star basis of calculation he was in his 96th year having completed 54 days when he left his physical body. Q. Will Sai Baba continue to be present in consciousness and to oversee his life's work, to inspire and guide his devotees? A. Yes. Q. Will Sai Baba continue to overshadow Benjamin Creme at the end of his public lectures, as he has done for many years? A. Yes. Q. Is it accurate to say that Sai Baba sacrificed himself taking on the karma and illness of many of his followers and thus shortened his own life? A. He did not shorten His own life but He did take on the karma of devotees on several occasions for short periods, but that was not the cause of His death. Q. The killing of Osama bin Laden by an American special attack force in Pakistan has just been announced. He is said to have been shot in the eye and killed (though unarmed) and the body to have been buried at sea, that is, not retrievable for inspection. Can you say if this is indeed the end of Bin Laden? A. I do believe that Osama bin Laden is no longer alive, but this report from the US administration does not tally with my information, which is that Osama bin Laden died peacefully, after a long struggle with illness, in 2006. Before he died he wished to maintain his call for `justice' (as he understood the term) and arranged for one of his many younger brothers to maintain the myth of his presence. Q. In 2007 Benazir Bhutto said in an interview that Osama bin Laden was dead. (1) Was she right? (2) How did he die? (3) Where is his body buried? (4) If this scenario is accurate, why was his death kept secret? (5) Supposing these are the facts, how long have the Americans known of Osama bin Laden's demise? A. (1) Yes. (2) He died after a long struggle with cancer and kidney disease. (3) It was not buried but burned. (4) He wanted to maintain the myth as a rallying call for the young. Is the window of opportunity you mentioned in the March 2010 issue of Share International, still open? A. Yes. Q. Have Maitreya's interviews been taking place in America or elsewhere? A. Maitreya's interviews have been taking place for the moment in America. But He will go from America to many countries: to Japan, Europe, South America, Russia and China, and speak to the world. Don't forget that as He speaks during an interview there is also an internet broadcast in most cases. These are high-powered television interviews from major TV programmes and via the internet He can be heard and seen by millions at the same time. In America He is speaking English; if He were in Japan He would speak Japanese; in Russia in Russian, China in Chinese, in South America, Spanish or Portuguese. So millions will hear and have access to every interview He gives. Q. Have all Maitreya's interviews been taking place on the same channel in the USA so far? A. Yes. The same channel so far. Q. How long do the television interviews last, on average? A. They last on average about half an hour. Q. (1) I think it's been said once in Share International that during Maitreya's first appearances on television, He would show Himself in a restrained way, as if He was trying not to let people know all His radiation, in a way to give us time to adapt ourselves to His presence. Has this happened? (2) Can we expect a clearer `energetic message' or impact in the following months, when we see Him on television or the internet? (3) Have the appearances of Maitreya been as successful as planned? A. (1) That is not exactly the case. He presented Himself in a restrained way, a quiet way. He was at pains not to frighten off those He is trying to help. That continues to be the case although He is more forthright than He was at first. It is nothing to do with His `radiation'. (2) He will certainly be more forthright but He is also careful to restrict or temper His `energetic presence'. (3) They have been reasonably successful so far. Q. (1) In Maitreya's television interviews in the US does he always go by the same name? (2) Does Maitreya always look the same in all the TV interviews? Is Maitreya using his actual body for the interviews or is he using a familiar for some or all of them? A. (1) Yes. (2) He varies His clothes (as we all do). He is using the body in which He appears in the world. Q. You say in the January/February issue of Share International that you cannot give a specific time, day, or any information about Maitreya's interview for such and such reasons, then in question three you say that there is not a specific date for the Day of Declaration and this is not planned for 2012. I assume that the argument about people accepting Maitreya for what He proposes and not because they think He is the World Teacher is still valid here. But in question four you say that the media will give the time when the Day of Declaration will take place. So, can you clarify this, please? A. The media will make the arrangements for the Day of Declaration when the people call for Maitreya to appear before the world. Q. It is really wonderful that Maitreya can be seen and heard by tens of millions or even hundreds of millions of people everywhere in the world. I remember when the journalists were waiting for Maitreya in London with Patricia Pitchon [31 July 1985], when apparently Hierarchy decided to move forward, and was attacked by evil forces, specially those from Outer Space, those called Cosmic Evil forces. So Hierarchy had to shield the Earth and some moves in the Reappearance had to be postponed. Now that Maitreya has moved forward, does it imply that our planet is more shielded against intrusions from Cosmic Evil forces, as a consequence of permission given from divine levels of our planet and beyond, to permit Hierarchy to work without being interrupted? A. No. Maitreya took advantage of an opening of a window of opportunity at a given time. Q. Could you say something about the recent earthquakes in Haiti and Chile? A. Earthquakes result from a combination of factors. The earth's tectonic plates move and cause pressure which erupts in a volcano or an earthquake. That happened in both Haiti and Chile but in the case of the earthquake in Haiti it also had a karmic origin due to the internal pressure in Haiti over many years between a series of repressive governments and the people themselves. That interchange between the people and the governments who kept the people down resulted in tension. There is an outflow from that relationship which is fraught with tension, building up into a karmic situation, which if the tectonic plates move will certainly cause an earthquake to erupt there. The earthquake in Chile was caused by the movement of tectonic plates only. It had no karmic origin, unlike in Haiti.

(2) He will certainly be more forthright but He is also careful to restrict or temper His `energetic presence'. (3) They have been reasonably successful so far. Q. (1) In Maitreya's television interviews in the US does he always go by the same name? (2) Does Maitreya always look the same in all the TV interviews? Is Maitreya using his actual body for the interviews or is he using a familiar for some or all of them? A. (1) Yes. (2) He varies His clothes (as we all do). He is using the body in which He appears in the world. Q. You say in the January/February issue of Share International that you cannot give a specific time, day, or any information about Maitreya's interview for such and such reasons, then in question three you say that there is not a specific date for the Day of De-claration and this is not planned for 2012. I assume that the argument about people accepting Maitreya for what He proposes and not because they think He is the World Teacher is still valid here. But in question four you say that the media will give the time when the Day of Declaration will take place. So, can you clarify this, please? A. The media will make the arrangements for the Day of Declaration when the people call for Maitreya to appear before the world. Q. It is really wonderful that Maitreya can be seen and heard by tens of millions or even hundreds of millions of people everywhere in the world. I remember when the journalists were waiting for Maitreya in London with Patricia Pitchon [31 July 1985], when apparently Hierarchy decided to move forward, and was attacked by evil forces, specially those from Outer Space, those called Cosmic Evil forces. So Hierarchy had to shield the Earth and some moves in the Reappearance had to be postponed. Now that Maitreya has moved forward, does it imply that our planet is more shielded against intrusions from Cosmic Evil forces, as a consequence of permission given from divine levels of our planet and beyond, to permit Hierarchy to work without being interrupted? A. No. Maitreya took advantage of an opening of a window of opportunity at a given time. Q. Could you say something about the recent earthquakes in Haiti and Chile? A. Earthquakes result from a combination of factors. The earth's tectonic plates move and cause pressure which erupts in a volcano or an earthquake. That happened in both Haiti and Chile but in the case of the earthquake in Haiti it also had a karmic origin due to the internal pressure in Haiti over many years between a series of repressive governments and the people themselves. Thank you for sharing this information concerning the first interview of Maitreya, the World Teacher, it's great news! Did the first interview of Maitreya take place within the window of opportunity, between Thanksgiving and Christmas? A. It took place within the window of opportunity, which is still open. Q. (1) Would it be possible to give a general estimation of how long it will take between Maitreya's first interview (already done) and the Day of Declaration? (2) Was the heartfelt response to the Haitians' terrible suffering after the earthquake in January 2010 one of the factors that allowed Maitreya to give His first television interview during this window of opportunity? (3) Maitreya, we know, will never say Who He is until the Day of Declaration. How was He introduced in His first television interview? (4) How will He be introduced in His upcoming interviews? (5) Will His interviews be announced in advance by the stations that interview Him, even if not by name? Or will all of His interviews be unannounced by the shows? Will He just be interviewed with no advanced announcement of any kind, even though they will not be using His name? A. I can't seem to find any individuals who give me the feeling that Maitreya would give one if hearing him speak on television. I do not sense any people with any spiritual energy emanating from them when they speak. The closest thing to someone as an ordinary person is Raj Patel the author of The Value of Nothing who appeared on Democracy Now and the Colbert Report in 2010. He even travelled from India to London in 1977. However he doesn't seem to talk much about creating a new civilization based on sharing and justice as much as one would expect Maitreya to do. Is he in fact just an ordinary man inspired by Maitreya?Also he denied being Maitreya but agrees with your ideas and purpose. A. The ideas of Maitreya have penetrated all planes for many years and thousands of people are `inspired' by these ideas. Q. Do you think that the emergence of Maitreya will take place in 2012 at the end of the Mayan Calendar that a lot of people are talking about, or before that? Thank you so much for answering our many queries! A. The emergence of Maitreya has already begun by His giving interviews on television. His emergence is not related to or dependent upon the Mayan Calendar which ends in 2012. It has no relation to it whatever. Maitreya will declare Himself openly to the world when sufficient of humanity has responded to His message for justice, peace and sharing, and are bringing these into effect. Q. In a question in September 2004 Benjamin Creme said that 30 million have heard about the Reappearance of Maitreya, 20 million are open to the possibility and 2 million really believe in it. Could Benjamin Creme confirm what are the figures nowadays, more than five years later? A. It is now up from 30 million to 38 million. Of these 7 million believe the story entirely, about the same number dismiss it out of hand, the rest keep an open mind to the possibility of its being true. Q. This has largely been the case whether the legislative system was democratic or otherwise. This is now beginning to change. Far from quiet acceptance of unpopular laws, peoples in many countries now demonstrate and demand change. With the exception of those countries under tight military rule, the people, more and more, are demanding to be heard, to have their needs addressed, and bad laws righted. As the beneficent energies of Aquarius gain in potency, this growing power of the people will multiply and become the most powerful voice on Earth. So much is this the case, even now, that governments of all kinds are forced to take account of the peoples' reaction to laws which deeply concern their welfare. It becomes increasingly difficult for governments to govern along strictly factional lines. Much government action is secretive and obscure, much is done `behind the scenes' of which the people never hear, but generally, governments, at least in the so-called `democratic' world, are careful not to rouse the ire or discontent of the people. For more than 20 years Maitreya's public emergence did not take place because there had to be a worldwide stock-market crash first. Maitreya forecast a crash in 1988. Finally there is a stock-market crash, and people around the world now can see the need for change that Maitreya calls for. Still there is no public emergence. Now there is a `star' in the sky heralding his appearance, but there has to be a public debate about the meaning of the `star' before his emergence can take place. I don't understand why there seems to be a new condition now for Maitreya's emergence. Can you explain why this is happening? A. As you say, Maitreya did indeed forecast, in mid-1988, a world stock-market crash which He said would begin in Japan. In 1989 the Nikkei stood at 40,000 points. It suddenly collapsed to 7,000 points. Today it hovers around 10,000 points. Maitreya called the Japanese prosperity up till 1989 a `bubble' which inevitably would burst. This was followed by the collapse of the markets in the countries of the Pacific rim: Thailand, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Indonesia. Then the markets collapsed in Russia, Brazil, Mexico and Argentina. America and Europe have survived a series of `near-miss' collapses until the latest debacle. Do you really imagine that Maitreya can emerge the very next day? What He has given is a star-like luminary of brilliant power as a Sign, a Herald of His Return. He desires that there should be open discussion on media to create a general expectation of His Emergence. I have not said that His Emergence depends on that. It does not, but obviously it would alert millions to what is happening. You know about and, impatiently, expect to see and hear Maitreya but billions of people do not. Do they not also have the right to know? What better way to tell them about Maitreya and, at the same time, affirm the reality of the Space Brothers and their spaceships, the so-called UFOs? People know nothing of the hugeness of this enterprise, nor of the laws which govern it. They desire something and are impatient to experience their desire fulfilled. But what do they do to help to bring it about? Generally, little or nothing. As Maitreya says: Nothing happens by itself. Man must act and implement his will. My colleagues and I have strained every nerve and sinew for many years making this information known. We do not put a date on Maitreya's appearance; we know He is here and that He will emerge openly at the earliest possible moment. Q. I was at your London lecture on 23 April 2009 and you spoke very urgently about the need to get the existence of the `star' into media outlets (radio, television, the internet, etc), so that there is an open public discussion/debate about its meaning. Why is that so important? A. As Maitreya says: Nothing happens by itself. Man must act and implement his will. Maitreya desires as much public discussion as possible otherwise the function of the `star' in heralding His approach, is lost. Q. I have been following the news about the `star'. I am very much hoping that what people are seeing is the miracle star. But I am wondering whether any unusual sightings have been reported by people who spend their days looking at the stars through giant telescopes, etc. Were the scientific community to observe something new I would be reassured that it is not simply Venus being mistaken for something more unusual. Has this happened yet? A. The response from professional stargazers has been a deafening silence. Why the silence? Are they following governmental orders to keep quiet about any unusual sightings (like UFOs)? On the other hand, reports of sightings have been flooding in from all over the world from Norway to New Zealand and the USA to Japan. YouTube is full of reports, many of the `star' although the reporter usually has no idea what, in fact, he is seeing. Some earlier reports were indeed about Venus, but since 28 March Venus has gone beyond our sight. So now there is no confusion. The `star' is brighter even than Venus, changes colour frequently and moves position. So obviously it is not a real star. There are, in fact, four such star-like luminaries covering the world. They are gigantic spacecraft (each one about the size of five football grounds put together). They all come from planets of our own solar system. They are a sign, heralds of the first public appearance on American television of Maitreya, the World Teacher. Q. Thanks for all of the great work that you have done so gracefully for so many years. I have one question that has been gnawing at my mind for several weeks: why have you been calling the light in the sky `the star', while some of your regular readers know it is one or more UFOs? Will sightings of the star eventually become numerous enough that it becomes a top headline in the news worldwide and publicly investigated by scientists? A. I do not know what level of response is required but it is obvious that some public recognition is essential. Q. First off, I have to say thank you for making this information available. I'm truly grateful. I'm writing because I think that I saw the miracle star your Master has described. It was Saturday night and I was working late. The location was Toluca Lake, California, USA. After I left the office to go to my car I saw a star that was brighter than any other that I've seen. It had an orb shape around it. While I was driving home on the freeway I was following it with my eyes. It seemed to change its position. Sometimes it was to the left of me and sometimes it was to the right. Maybe this is because the freeway changed position; I don't know. It did seem to shift to rather dramatic variables in distance. It seemed to vanish as soon as I got off the freeway near my neighborhood. My father thought that it might be Venus. It was exceptionally bright. Whatever the case may be, that was the brightest heavenly body I've noticed to date. A. My Master has confirmed that it was indeed the Star that you followed along the freeway. It does move about which, of course, Venus does not except slowly along its own trajectory. Venus is very bright and is often confused for the Star but Venus is becoming lower and lower on the horizon and, by 28 March or so, will no longer be visible to us. The Star is even brighter than Venus, and changes position and colour. Q. In late February 2009, I was in a city in the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais. There, I saw a really bright star in the sky. It was bigger than the other stars. It was a little similar to Venus, but the colour was completely different. Venus normally is blue and the star was yellow or golden. Was that the star of Maitreya? A. Yes, it was the Star. Q. A thought about the appearance of the star occurred to me: the first news release regarding the star starts: Look now for the biggest miracle of all It sounds to me that we are told to regularly look for it, of course on evenings when there are few clouds in the west (in the case of New Zealand), and by looking for it we are inviting its appearance. And the more who look the stronger the invitation. Would this be correct? A. No, it is not really like that. The Star exists whether we look for it or not but if people do not look for it they will not necessarily see it and report it. It is necessary that it receives open public attention as a miracle a sign of Maitreya's appearance on US television. If it does not receive public attention of a certain amount it will not have served its purpose. Q. On the evening of 3 March 2009, for at least 30 minutes before the clouds came, I saw a bright star-like object on the western sky in Belgium. Could this have been the star? A. The ideal principle is to teach methods based on the person, not on the technique. Q. If you prefer teaching only a few monks contemplation, what is the relative benefit to creating a peaceful world compared to teaching millions meditation? Again, you're offering two different things to different people. You'd be better off finding a good form of meditation that reduces negative emotions and increases empathy and then as soon as people are able or interested wean then towards non-dual contemplation (the principle of the highest first). A. Everyone wants a peaceful world but it seems to be in our DNA to fight to establish dominance for me and mine. Although torn between altruism and self-interest, TM makes it possible to resolve our conflicts by finding common ground in the consciousness we share as humans. Since nothing else has ever worked, if TM can create a peaceful world, and I believe that it can, why not give peace a chance? A few monks contemplating can help create world peace but millions practicing TM will carry the day. If there's a better, easier way to create world peace, I'd like to hear about it. Unfortunately TM results in a form of meditation that tends to activate the egocentric circuitry of the brain. What we need is meditation forms that are not religious (like TM) and activate the allocentric brain circuitry like Mindfulness Meditation which is free or very inexpensive. When allocentric meditators are shown very averse imagery, the compassion amplifying parts of the prefrontal cortex light up. In others, this circuitry simply shuts down and goes dark. We don't need people who shut down when people are suffering and we don't need people who just sit around and talk about themselves and their experiences 30 some years after the fact. Therefore, if we are interested in world peace, not world piece, we need people to be doing meditation methods that are free or cheap, eliminate negative, destructive emotions and increase empathy (i.e. enhance our mirror- neuron circuitry) Q. Do only monks practice contemplation because controlling the mind is a difficult task that most people would bail on? What makes you think monks only practice contemplation? What makes you think that householders don't practice nondual contemplation? Vedanta and Buddhist nondual contemplation are quite popular, although they work best for people who already can calm their minds (through whatever method). Q. Do you think contemplation is superior to meditation? Why? It ultimately depends on the capacity of the person. But yes, it is according to Vedanta and Buddhism (and probably some other traditions as well!). Having said that, if you have a deep enough technique, you can be enlightened using any number of techniques, even introspective samadhi--but such a technique has to really lead to bonafide samadhi, not light trance or self-hypnotic states! Q. If one practices meditation and experiences samadhi, after some time of witnessing the duality of self and non-self, there is a natural and spontaneous desire to unify self and non-self. Love naturally draws the meditator toward unity, effortlessly. Seems to me Thou are That would be the result in either meditation (easy for many) or contemplation (difficult for many). What say you? Q. (1) Now that the US Congress has passed a financial bailout plan, how close is the US and the world to the worldwide stock market crash that Share International magazine has predicted? (2) Are we heading for a total economic collapse, or depression, worldwide as some have predicted, or (3) are the economic problems we are facing more limited in scope? A. (1) This is the crash. We could not be closer. (2) Not total perhaps, but very far-reaching. (3) No. The entire economic system and thinking must be transformed. It will take the adoption of the principle of sharing to bring that about. Q. Will Maitreya's message of sharing be more difficult to accept for some people now, given that the economic situation of many millions in the US and other developed nations is increasingly precarious? A. On the contrary, it will show these nations that the old greedy and selfish ways do not work in a rational manner. Only sharing, in the end, will bring stability, justice and the peace we all desire. Q. Are we facing the end of hypercapitalism? A. Yes. According to the Masters the best ratio for successful, stable, fair government is: Socialism 70 per cent Capitalism 30 per cent. At the present time the ratio in the US is 95 per cent Capitalism 5 per cent Socialism. UK 85 per cent Capitalism 15 per cent Socialism. France and Germany much the same. Scandinavia about 40 per cent Capitalism 60 per cent Socialism. For this reason the Scandinavian countries, except for Iceland, are the most stable and fair. Q. A team of French scientists led by archaeologist Franck Goddio, announced that they have found a bowl dating to the first century AD, engraved with what they believe could be the world's first known reference to Christ: DIA CHRSTOU O GOISTAIS. This has been interpreted by the archaeological team to mean either, by Christ the magician or, the magician by Christ. (1) Do these words indeed refer to Jesus (overshadowed by Christ) during his time in Palestine, or (2) someone else? (3) Did the person who wrote the inscription know Jesus directly? (4) Did they mean magician in the derogatory way that it might be interpreted as today, which could mean a trickster etc? A. (1) Yes. What is the quality of Piscean energy and how is it different from the quality of Aquarian energy? A. Idealism, devotion and individuality. As we have used them, however, they have demonstrated, through our marked individuality, as division, separation, fanaticism, fundamentalism. It has the ideals of unity, brotherhood, justice, freedom but if you look around the world there's little sign of that brotherhood, or justice. These positive qualities need a broader view of these ideals; not a simple, fanatical bigoted view which has been the norm throughout Pisces. We are living at the end of the age of Pisces and that's a problem. The energies began to be withdrawn in 1625. Our solar system has come into the same relationship as with Pisces, but now with the constellation of Aquarius; we are living in the early years of the Aquarian dispensation. Aquarius is totally different its qualities are those of synthesis; they will fuse and blend humanity together in a way which now seems impossible. It's difficult to imagine because of the influence of Pisces. The energies of Aquarius began to come into this solar system and to this planet in 1675 and they are gathering momentum with every day that passes. The energies are more or less equal neither one dominates. The energies of Pisces are still somewhat more prevalent about 58 per cent to 42 per cent. So not equal but relatively so. We are still living in a world with the old structures which we created political economic, scientific, religious, cultural and so on. All structures are the result of our response to the energies of Pisces. The governments of the world are struggling to cope with the situation of today and the future, with the tools of an age which has passed. All our concepts of international politics, of economic structures, of how humanity should live together are dominated by the concepts of Pisces. Yet here we are

Questions Answers - a selection Q. The Irish vote against the European Union calls into question its continued existence. Was the EU doomed from the start? Or could it be transformed into something more positive along the lines of the British Commonwealth model? How does the Hierarchy see the EU? A. The EU was founded as an economic common market. It is not part of Hierarchy's Plan that the individual countries of Europe be `lost' in a unified political State of Europe. That should not be allowed to happen. The idea of such a state is driven today by the forces of Commercialization and need to be resisted. Q. How can Iran convince the international community that it is being truthful when it says that it is not seeking to develop nuclear weapons? Further sanctions are being threatened and Iran is experiencing growing pressure on it, particularly from America. A. It could invite UN observers into Iran to check and confirm (or otherwise). Q. A glance at the daily news seems to indicate that popular protests are taking place around the globe, giving the impression that people power is on the rise. Is this a false perception? To some critics, marches, protests, demonstrations are anarchic acts undermining the true mechanisms of democracy. Your insights, please. A. No it is not a false perception. It is true that rising prices of food and oil and local shortages of staple foods are the main cause as yet, rather than more abstract international causes like Justice and Peace, but it is a step in the direction required. Q. The Vatican seems to be saying publicly that life might exist on other planets. Is the Vatican easing its flock into the notion that life exists on other planets, that UFOs and all accompanying phenomena are real? What's behind this policy? A. Quite simply, yes! The truth is beginning to come out and the Vatican cannot afford not be aware of the obvious. Q. Maitreya has said that we are our brother's keeper. Does this apply on an international scale? For example: should the rest of the world stand by while a country like Zimbabwe spirals even further out of control into devastating chaos? Some call for the Zimbabwean people to rise up and overthrow the corrupt leadership. The world expects African leaders to take action. Meanwhile the violence, misery and hunger escalate. A. The United Nations should be invited by the African leaders to investigate thoroughly and act if necessary. Q. (1) Should the outside world intervene to help the plight of the Burmese people first denied their rights, now in desperate straits? (2) Is sovereignty inviolable? A. (1) Yes. (2) Not in such circumstances. Q. People who are starving, or at least having difficulty feeding their children, offer a simple answer to the present food price hikes and rising fuel prices: `Bring the prices down then we can all eat again and move and run our homes and businesses and earn a living'. Is it as simple as that? A. No. The present economic system does not work. These events are the symptoms. There is really no shortage of food or oil. The answer is simple sharing alone will right the wrongs of the past and present. Q. Israel is building more settlements which will double the present number. Ambitious expansion plans have just been approved for settler homes in East Jerusalem, which was captured by Israel in the 1967 Arab-Israeli war. What are the obligations of the international community vis-à-vis this ongoing crisis and conflict? A. There are already over 60 UN resolutions against Israeli contraventions which are simply ignored by Israel protected by the US veto in the Security Council. It is necessary that the Security Council be abolished. It has long past its usefulness. The International Community must also stand up to the US abuse of power. Q. Was the cyclone that hit Burma natural, and were the earthquakes in China natural or man-made? (Question from Benjamin Creme lecture, Nagoya, Japan, May 2008.) A. No, they were not natural and they were not directly man-made or manipulated. Nor were they the karmic result of the government of Burma or China's misdeeds. They are the result of tension and the resulting stress which unleashes forces which cannot be contained. For example, humanity does not understand the Law of Cause and Effect, the Law of Harmlessness. We have tremendous tension in the world today because of the Iraq invasion a totally illegal, unnecessary and ghastly war, costly in human lives. That war, the invasion by the Americans and the British has created extraordinary tension in the world. That, as well as the war in Afghanistan and American pressure on Iran, causes inevitable fear across the world. So people are living in a state of tension partly because of the great cosmic energies but also because of the actions of powerful individuals. And people watch in silence. At the showing of Benjamin Creme's lecture video in San Francisco on 12 August 2007, it was announced beforehand that Maitreya and the Master Jesus were present in the audience in various guises. Were They there? A. Yes, Maitreya and the Master Jesus were present (in the form of `familiars') throughout the meeting. Q. How likely is it that the current volatility in the US and other stock markets will lead to the worldwide stock market crash predicted by Maitreya? A. What we are witnessing, worldwide, in stock market volatility, is a gradual movement downwards which will culminate in a final crash. The stock markets are prime symbols of the old ways of working financially and economically and have no place in the new era, which is now dawning. They are no more than gambling casinos and have outlived their usefulness. Q. Why does Maitreya think that it is necessary for Him to physically emerge in order to complete the shift in human consciousness? A. Maitreya has physically returned to the everyday world as part of the similar return which the Hierarchy of Masters are undergoing. It is called the Externalization of the Hierarchy. Over and above that, He has returned in a full, physical sense so that He can do His work as the World Teacher for the Aquarian Age. Were He not in a physical form, He would not gain the attention of countless millions who require someone they can see and hear directly. Even now, many who would gladly believe He is here, and are ready to respond to His Teaching, are hesitant because they cannot see Him. Countless others, in the meantime, chase after Gurus and dubious Avatars, because they have to see a physical person to relate to. Q. It is 10 years since Princess Diana died and 10 years since Maitreya overshadowed vast numbers of people on the occasion of her funeral. Did Maitreya overshadow large numbers of people again when the anniversary of the Princess's death was marked? A. It is not that Maitreya `overshadowed' vast numbers of people but released His energy in great potency which was responded to by vast numbers. In the ten years which have passed there has been a marked loss of interest in Princess Diana by the general public. There was a well-attended Memorial Service for her at the Guards' Chapel at the Wellington Barracks in London on 31 August when those taking part were again blessed by Maitreya's energies. Q. If the US and other forces were to ask for advice from Hierarchy, what advice and solutions to the terrible mess of Afghanistan and Iraq would they receive? A. To admit the wrong committed by the invasions and to pour the necessary monies and all other resources to restore these countries to peace and calm. To hold an international UN-led inquiry into the best way to begin and complete this restoration and to avow no further incursions of a like kind anywhere in the world. Q. While working in London's Middlesex Hospital cancer ward I heard many stories of the `woman in white' sitting on patients' beds and giving them a cup of tea just before they died. At the time we all thought she must be a ghost, but now I'm wondering if she was a Master? A. Yes, the `woman in white' was the Master Jesus. Q. Children are getting caught up in murder and violent crime on Britain's streets why? What has gone wrong? What can be done to tackle the causes? A. This sad situation is not exclusive to Britain but is becoming more and more evident throughout the developed world. Through the blind following of market forces the politicians of the Western world have created a split society where the rich are getting richer and the poor poorer. This is very clearly the case in Britain, as in America and other `successful' countries. These violent crimes take place primarily in the poorest areas of inner cities where children and teenagers are neglected, have no facilities for organized group play and sport, and often little or no parental guidance. They have no sense of being wanted, are alienated and at war with themselves and with the society of which they are a part. Their only family or group are the street gangs which inevitably take the place of their own. They feel that life has no meaning or hope for them and turn to violence to give it meaning. At the same time the newspapers are filled with the reports of record `bonuses' for the heads of companies who have steered these companies to huge profits. Namaste and OM What is the difference between one that goes until they come to that 'Wall', and are then able to Surrender, even unto Death? G either wanting to find out what is beyond here, more than they fear the fear. OR just plain being so exhausted that one can no longer struggle against the Light. hahahahahahahahaha * It seems I always pull back. Even in my dreams it is the same. Like one night when my cat laid down by my head I reached up with my hands, and put them on him, and fell back to sleep. G radhe comes lays by the head, wakes me up then i reach up and touch her and go back to sleep as well. hahahahahah -- Pets are like that. * In the dream there was a radiant glowing white light above my head, and it was puling me in. I wanted to go, because I knew that it meant a spiritual merging, but as I felt myself dissolving I suddenly, and involuntarily, pulled back, and then I was sorry to have saved myself, and that I was unable to let go. I could not make myself to keep going. G that is the problem --- you can not *make* yourself go. One has to finally let go and let God. It takes letting go of all control and allowing whatever is going to happen to take place. Like getting on a rollercoaster and not hanging onto the bar. Once on you have no other option than to go where it takes you. * This same scenario has happened at other times in different ways, but I can never stop myself from holding on to what I believe to be myself. G like you can ever truly hold onto a mirage image. What have you got to lose ? * ... It's habitual and involuntary, almost like regaining your balance when you are about to fall down, or catching yourself and holding on before you fall into an abyss and you are lost, and killed. I want to let go, but I can't. G again this falls under the catagory of free will. eventually you will be so sick and tired of pulling back that there will finally be this letting go. * The reaction is so strong and so automatic that it feels like I have no choice in the matter, and when I consider the implications, I feel a little disappointed that I failed again, and I am sorry I lost another chance to be free. ... So, I just go back to my comparative mundane life, and I keep trudging along, wondering how I can let go the next time it happens. G by seeing that the other option hasn't worked. hahahahah Fear isn't fun - but fear won't be broken through until challenged.
