Subject: RE: [Felvtalk] Felvtalk Digest, Vol 47, Issue 6

What a very sad story about your blind cat. I understand your heart break. I
too have placed cats into what I thought were excellent homes, only to have a
sad, and an unnecessarily tragic outcome. I have probably adopted out close to
400 cats in the time my husband and I have been rescuing cats. Thankfully, most
of the time, people are just really happy to return a cat to me if things
aren’t working out, but I know only too well that once out of my hands, you’re
at the mercy of what someone else thinks is the right thing to do.

Your email to FeLV talk goes out to everyone on the list at the same time. I
will often answer regarding FeLV because I was lucky enough to have stumbled on
a medication protocol (which I was calling Zander’s protocol) which treated my
Zander’s FeLV when EVERYTHING else had failed. I used to be a medical lab
technologist, so lab results are key to me. When trying Zander on the various
medications that were suggested as assisting with FeLV, I got weekly bloodwork
done and would study the results to see which direction his bloodwork was
going. Nothing worked at all (Interferon, LTCI, combo of prednisone/Doxy) and I
kept him alive with several blood transfusions. When that was no longer an
option because he had had a reaction during his last blood transfusion and the
next one would kill him, I rummaged around in my drawer of cat meds, and had
nothing else at all to try but figured what the hell and tried him on Winstrol
(Stanazalol) which I thought might at least keep him eating and maybe keep him
alive a bit longer. To my complete and utter amazement and disbelief, after
just a few days on Winstrol, his ivory white gums and inner ears (signs of his
profound anemia) started showing a slight pinkish blush. The next blood work (a
few days later) showed the first uptick in hematocrit that I had seen with him
since the FeLV crisis had begun, which was not brought on by the artificial
increase in red cells from his transfusions.

I kept him on the combination of prednisone/doxycycline/winstrol for more than
a year, while his hematocrit climbed from 10 and back into the normal reference
range of 25 to 45. Every time I tried to stop or reduce the dosage of winstrol,
his blood results would show an immediate drop in red cells and hematocrit, so
even though his liver enzymes went way up (the reason Winstrol had fallen out
of favour with the vets), I really had no choice but to continue since the vets
had nothing else to offer me and the alternative was he was going to die from
the FeLV infection. He recovered fully, looked marvelous and amazing, ate well,
and his liver enzymes went right back to normal once I discontinued the
Winstrol – something like 10 months later.

No one seemed to know this combination, and the vets I spoke with seemed wary
or suspicious that this combination would indeed be helpful in FeLV (except
mine – who had of course seen the weekly blood work showing a slow and steady
rise in red cells and ultimately, in white cells and platelets, until his
entire hematological profile looked perfectly fine). At the time, I was
understandably extremely excited by the effects of the Winstrol and I believe
that the Winstrol was able to cause the production of new bone marrow cells
(something it has been found to do in osteoporotic women) and thus, new cells
which could produce the red cells. However, I now also think that the
combination worked because the Doxycycline was able to retard or slow down the
viral replication, to allow the red cell production to move ahead with less
risk that the FeLV would attack the new bone marrow cells. I have been told
that the prednisone helps protect the liver from the Winstrol, but I also think
that it’s anti-inflammatory properties helped in areas like intestinal
inflammation (Zander had lots of trouble eating and keeping the food down). So,
I think maybe I by accident stumbled on this combination but was able to
understand what might be happening and why it might have worked, because of my
scientific/medical training.

Zander lived another 7 years and died from a heart condition which I wondered
at the time if it was related, and it might have been, but it probably was that
the virus had done a fair amount of damage to certain organs before I was able
to get it under control. We loved Zander to a crazy extent, and I wanted him
with us for longer than 7 years but given that the vets were telling us there
was no hope when he was only six months old, I guess I must just be grateful
that we had him for so much longer than that.

I'd be interested in getting this advice as well!
I have a 7month old FeLV positive kitten. No symptoms or illness. And
if she doesn't find a loving home by August (not likely - given the
deluge of cats out there!), I'm going to integrate her with my non
FeLV cat (7 years old and healthy).
What can I do to keep them both as healthy and as safe as possible?
Also, the 7 year old has never had a FeLV vaccination before. The vet
recommends it... but I've heard there are also issues with the
vaccine... help?
Feel free to email me directly - gopila...@gmail.com with suggestions/advice!

My oldest positives are going on 2 yrs old and the youngest is

My cat (Stella) is an indoor cat, 7 years old. and has had

Is there any way they can live together with Penny being
FeLV positive?

Tabbs Spain, crossed over, 8th AprilI am heart broken, but after Tabbs
Long and brave fight, I had my Lady vetcome out to the House to put My brave
boy to sleep,  He had so many trips tothe vets in the last month that I
did not have the heart for that last one, when I knew that he would know
where he was going.  I have known we werelosing the fight for the last
3 weeks, He  had lost interest in his food andalso had lost a lot of
weight, but was still enjoying life up until the last2 days. he did not wish
too be with me any longer  sleeping or for sittingon my lap. and
on the Friday I had called the vet out, I picked him up forhis last cuddle,
but he wanted to be put down, and when I put him on thefloor, for him to go
back to his hiding spot in the video unit, he rush outside into the garden,
and did a wee, but then instead of going to one of hisold sleeping spot, he
disappeared down the into the Spanish under growthwhere I could not follow
him, due to us living on a mountain type range. Allday I called him and all
night, up to 2.30 in the morning, I was stillexpecting him to  turn up
on the end of my bed, but I was scared that he wasnot coming back, and had
gone off to die.Back up again 4 , and  6, still no Tabbs, by 8 o
clock I knew he was notgoing to turn up,So on with my walking shoes and
a lot of protection clothing, plus mywalking stick, and some rope, and down
the mountain I went calling andpraying, but knowing unless I could see him,
I would not be able to recoverhim, due to not responding to me on other
occasions, when he wanted to bealone.one hour later and a little bit
worst for wear due to the heavy undergrowth, I hear 3 meow's from him, but
for the next 20 mins nothing, but atleast I knew he was down there some
where, and a lot further down than Iwould have though he would have gone. I
shouted to my husband to get the carand drive down to the bottom of the
valley to see if could hear him or seehim , but no luck there. But my young
cat Tiger who follows me every where, had followed me down through the thick
under growth and was further down, than me, but he had found Tabbs, who was
behind a big stone rock, it took me about 10mins to get to him, But he
would not come to me, I now had the problem ofclimbing back up with him in
my arms, which to begin with was OK, as he washappy to have a cuddle, after
10 mins with one arm round him and the othertrying to grab plant life to
pull myself back up the hill, I was havingtrouble hanging onto him,But
20 mins later, and nearly having a heart attack we got to the top. Oh Iwas
so happy, to have found him, I had thoughts that I would have alwayshave
been looking down that valley and wondering where he was, and neverknowing
how long he was there before he past on.My FELV boy Chang who pass on last
summer, did this to us, and also My FELVBoy Rocky , he went missing for 3
days, but came back to die, they whereboth, too wild too do any treatment
with. But Tabbs who was also a stray wassomeone's pet at some
time,Sadly Tabbs did not wish me to hold him or give him cuddles, and
went backinto his hiding place of the Video, so the phone call I had made
the daybefore had to be repeated, No interest in food or water, and he
lookedreally fed up. I spent a couple of hours sitting next to him and
giving himmy contact and talking to him, while we waited for the vet to
come. Eventhen he tried to do a little roll for me to tickle his tummy. My
best Boy.The end was easy and very peace full for him, thanks to my
vet. If we could have got the epogen, then may be he would have had
a betterchance, for any one interested in the care Tabbs had or the
history onfeline interferon and interferon A which he was treated with, then
when I amfeeling better, I will give any information that may or may not be
ofinterest. Also if we had started the Interferon early may be things
would have had abetter ending.I do believe that the Interferon did give
Tabbs a couple of extra months. hewas ill at Xmas time, so who knows.but

(from my Vet Victoria )
Hello Sandra: I am so happy to tell you that
Tabbs hct is 14.3 %!!!  9.3.2006
Last time  was 11 % and a non regenerative
anaemia. Now is a little regenerative.
So, now I suggest to follow in this
way:
-Vitamins and rest of the medication: the
same as before,

 started 27.02-Dacortin 5mg: injection then1
tablet /that evening followed by  ,  2 tablets per day for 3 days
then 1 tablet mornings for 5 days. then one every other day, until further
notice.
(could be 10 days when my vet will do another
blood test.

-Interferon omega: ( started Virbagen Omega 4th
March 1/2 bottle every other day. Tabbs HCT reading was 10% at this point. then
1/4 bottle every day(02.5 UI) ( 5 bottles) 10mu 500 euros
He had been 17.5% dropping to 17.2, then after
the iron and vitamins plus restarting the stomorgy Tabbs went up to 21% (great)
at this point I did not feel the need for the Interferon omega,
(wrong) But on retesting again he had drop to 10 HCT so
that is when we started the Interferon. .
-Vitamins and rest of the medication: the
same as before,
this was 1/2 tablet per day of fortekor
5
1/2 tablet stomorgyl per day 10kgs Tabb has been
on stomorgyl for about 6 weeks. may be longer.
Vitamins drops and iron drops each day for the
last 6 weeks( mixed in warm milk)
L-lysine just start, about 5 days now 500mg
morning and evening( mixed in food)

Here is Tabbs History to
date,
Xmas 2005 pneumonia , hiding in the airing
cupboard for about 5 days, then moved to spending all day in the bathroom
sink.
treated the pneumonia with antibiotics , I can
not remember what type, and also the fact that he tested
FELV pos  in Nov 2005 was probably
the reason why he had picked up the pneumonia.

At that time my old vet was only treating him
with stomorgly for his bad mouth and teeth, alongside
giving him vitamin B injections. after finding
the groups web site, (so Helpful) I printed out a lot of
the information  that I had collected, and took it down to my vet
,
But in fairness to him , my lack of Spanish and
his lack of English proved to be a lack of interest in the information I had
collected followed by comments of
having tried the following with out
success, he was uninterested . At that time the paper I shown him was
headed ImmunoRegulin    ---
More reading, and discontent, I change vets and
found one that was recommended, and who is open to suggestions, and also had
treated 3 of her own clients cats with the feline interferon.
So to date, Tabbs was started on the omega
interferon  when his blood count was reading 10%, where my new Vet remarked
that he should have die, and that she was unsure to weather we would
have
any success in treating Tabbs at this late
stage.Sadly we could have started his treatment
of the interferon earlier, but due to his  readings on the 28 Jan, we
thought the treatment was working.

Two other points that are the beginning of Tabbs
History, are that first he has had bad teeth for the last 2 years, and
having waited for his kidney readings to come down enough for us to give
his teeth a clean and remove the bad teeth, we wasted 18 months before being
able to do this. But since he has been on the  stomorgyl for over 2
months now, it appears that there is no problem with his Kidneys. my old vet
tested in house his self, and my new vet sends the blood away to a very good
place that is 99% correct.

Tabbs has had a X ray at his old vets, and I
was told that there did not seem to be any tumours showing, But he has got
2 small lumps in his mouth which are beginning to get too big, and they are
giving him a great deal of trouble, so much so that he as stop

(from my Vet Victoria )
Hello Sandra: I am so happy to tell you that
Tabbs hct is 14.3 %!!!  9.3.2006
Last time  was 11 % and a non regenerative
anaemia. Now is a little regenerative.
So, now I suggest to follow in this
way:
-Vitamins and rest of the medication: the
same as before,

 started 27.02-Dacortin 5mg: injection then1
tablet /that evening followed by  ,  2 tablets per day for 3 days
then 1 tablet mornings for 5 days. then one every other day, until further
notice.
(could be 10 days when my vet will do another
blood test.

-Interferon omega: ( started Virbagen Omega 4th
March 1/2 bottle every other day. Tabbs HCT reading was 10% at this point. then
1/4 bottle every day(02.5 UI) ( 5 bottles) 10mu 500 euros
He had been 17.5% dropping to 17.2, then after
the iron and vitamins plus restarting the stomorgy Tabbs went up to 21% (great)
at this point I did not feel the need for the Interferon omega, But on retesting
again he had drop to 10 HCT so that is when we started the
Interferon.
-Vitamins and rest of the medication: the
same as before,
this was 1/2 tablet per day of fortekor
5
1/2 tablet stomorgyl per day 10kgs Tabb has been
on stomorgyl for about 6 weeks. may be longer.
Vitamins drops and iron drops each day for the
last 6 weeks( mixed in warm milk)
L-lysine just start, about 5 days now 500mg
morning and evening( mixed in food)

Here is Tabbs History to date,
Xmas 2005 pneumonia , hiding in the airing
cupboard for about 5 days, then moved to spending all day in the bathroom
sink.
treated the pneumonia with antibiotics , I can
not remember what type, and also reason that his FELV test in Nov 2005 was
problemly
the reason why he had picked up the pneumonia. at
that time my old vet was only treating him with stomorgly for his bad mouth and
teeth, alongside
giving him vitamin B injections. after finding
the groups web site, I printed out a lot of the information  that I had
collected, and took it down to him,
But in fairness to him , my lack of Spanish and
his lack of English proved to be a lack of interest in the information I had
collected followed by comments of
having tried the following with out success, but
he was uninterested . At that time the paper I shown him was headed
ImmunoRegulin    ---
More reading, and discontent, I change vets and
found one that was recomended, and who is open to suggestions, and also had
treated 3 of her own clients cats with the feline interferon.
So to date, Tabbs was started on the omega when
his blood count was reading 10%, where my new Vet remarked that he
should have died, and that she was unsure to weather we would
have
any success to treating Tabbs at this late
stage.Sadly we could have started his treatment
of the interferon earlyer, but due to his  readings on the 28 Jan, we
thought the treatment was working.

Two other points that are the beginning of Tabbs
History, are that first he has had bad teeth for the last 2 years, and
having waited for his kidney readings to come down enough for us to give
his teeth a clean and remove the bad teeth, we wasted 18 months before being
able to do this. But since he has been on the  stomorgyl for over 2
months now, it appears that there is no problem with his Kidneys. my old vet
tested him his self, and my new vet sends away to a very good place that is 99%
correct.

Tabbs has had a X ray at his old vets, and I
was told that there did not seem to be any tumours showing, But he has got
2 small lumps in his mouth which are being to get too big, and

there tune, but heres hoping.

But we have just done another blood test today, and I am hoping for a
improvement on his readings, He is still eating and holding his own, I am
so afraid to get my hopes up, but he is not getting any worst dare I say.
and ,I am hoping that the Interferon is working, the second batch cost me
500 euros, so I am hoping that when I have to order a 3rd batch that I
will be able to cut down the amount of dosing that he is on. Which is
every day at 0.25 my vet is has suggested inject every other day and by
mouth each day in between, because we are unsure if the Interferon omega
works the same as the one that you use, comments please.
I have managed to get the L-lysine from the Uk that arrived yesterday,
Keep your fingers crossed for me and Tabbs that just may be we are making

Hi Marlene, My name is Sandra, and I am
treating my boy Tabbs on Virbagen Omega Interferon the first batch cost me
405 euros, but it has gone up, and the second cost me 500 euros, so that
hurts, but I have not hand any side affects, Tabbs has been on it for over 4
weeks now, the first batch which was 5 vials of 10mu, and we treated him every
other day injections only, so the batch only gave me ten injections, as we where
giving him 1/2 a bottle every other day.
The new batch we are giving every day, one day by mouth and one day
injection. as my vet is unsure if giving it by mouth is correct. would be very
interested to hear if giving by mouth with the  Virbagen Omega Interferon
is OK, as I hate doing the injections
I am waiting blood test today to see how he is doing, and also
awaiting to acquire the epogen, which causing problems on getting, I
ordered it over ten days ago and am waiting for the hospital to ring me, when it
arrives, but wonder if they are giving me the run around.

Good luck and hope things improve for you both

I would be grateful if every  one   could comment on the
dosing of Virbagen Omega Interferon  by mouth, I know the human interferon
is given by mouth.

Fw: Pekoe's Latest Tabbs Spain

Belinda Bailey Tabbs and Sandra

2006-03-08 Thread Sandra

Dear Belinda
Thanks for thinking of us, I am still trying to get it, may be Thursday, I
now have it on order but will only believe it when I have got it, Spain is
notorious for sending you round in circles and making you dance to there
tune, but heres hoping.

But we have just done another blood test today, and I am hoping for a
improvement on his readings, He is still eating and holding his own, I am
so afraid to get my hopes up, but he is not getting any worst dare I say.
and ,I am hoping that the Interferon is working, the second batch cost me
500 euros, so I am hoping that when I have to order a 3rd batch that I will
be able to cut down the amount of dosing that he is on. Which is every day
at 0.25 my vet is has suggested inject every other day and by mouth each
day in between, because we are unsure if the Interferon omega works the same
as the one that you use, comments please.
I have managed to get the L-lysine from the Uk that arrived yesterday, Keep
your fingers crossed for me and Tabbs that just may be we are making some
head way, I will let you know what the blood test come out at.

I Have prayed for you and Bailey and oh so hope that things take a change
for the better. thinking of you both, take care

Kindest regards Sandra

Belinda, Thank you so much for all that

Got myself in a right state.
But we are over that for the moment. thanks

Also I am chasing my vet up regarding
the Aranrsp (darbepoetin alfa) which is the nearest match that I hope I can

already  printed out information on this, and had taken it down to
her, and as you can see by her response at the time, We did not make any head
way, But heres hoping that she will see the light, and after all this that I can

I do know from

I did read on

Hi Victoria, I am still thinking of calling you out to day for Tabbs to be
put to sleep, but I am a little confused by the information I have just
recievce from one of the groups members, and would like you to put my mind
at rest regarding the treatment, Tabbs has has. I would hate to think that
we have missed someting that would have helped him. please comment and
advise me, that we have not missed any thing. especially as I have to make
a decision very soon. I would be grateful if you would read the text below,
which I have copyed from a e mail to me.

PS forgive me for questioning the treament

 Hi Sandra,
My Bailey is FeLV+ and is anemic, his kidney's are perfect in fact
all of his organs are in great shape.

His anemia is due directly to the FeLV virus replicating in the bone
marrow, and preventing the bone marrow from producing the red cells. He
is diagnosed with myeloid dysplastic anemia which we found by doing the
bone marrow aspirate. Bailey's HCT was 19%
(regenerative or non regenerative??) when we got his bloodwork
results on January 3rd, we started the epogen on January 6th and his HCT
went down to 15% in a few weeks, but was at 23% when we last checked it
on Feburary 5th, this is a direct result from using the epogen, Bailey's
HCT was continually going down, and I am positive without the epogen he
wouldn not be alive today. Epogen can take up to 3 weeks to start
working and in the meantime the HCT can and in many cases does go lower
as it did with Bailey. You need to get your vet to try the epogen or
get it yourself, it isn't that expensive atleast here in the US. The
vial I got was about $300.00 but should last me 4 months.

Please if you haven't already done so join the anemia group they are an
excellent resource for this and can help with the dose strength if you
do decide to try the epogen. My vet uses a larger strength than most
vets do, but it is the same dose wise. Most vets perscribe the 2000IU
strength which I think averages 3 or 5 doses, cost averages between $28
to $32 dollars, mine was the 1IU strength X2 which was 300.00
(although the pharmacy made a mistake and it wil cost me $330.00 for my
next vial), they gave it to me at their misquoted price this last time.

Honestly if his kidney's are fine and he has been checked for internal
bleeding and for hemobart (even if he tested negative for the hemobart
he may still have it, it is VERY tricky to find and if it were me I
would put him on doxycycline for 21 days just to be on the safe side)

We make a PCR of haemobartonella that is 99% of security, not an extended
of blood. LIKE WE SPOKE BEFORE, an extended is not secure because it can be
that we found not the haemobartonella-

then I would do the bone marrow aspirate to find out exactly what is
causing the anemia, there are so many things that can cause it.

¿?, is Belinda a vet??. We descarted, haemobartonella, kidneys, and is
sure that is the bone narrow.

Bailey was 5 months old when I found him and tested FeLV+ then, so he
has been positive most of his life, he is 10 years old now. He has been
healthy up until last year when we had teeth problems and now this
anemia so we have been pretty lucky.

So Sandra, like we spoke before: I have no chance to find eritropoyetina
in my vet. If you have the possibility, we can try this treatment; but you
must to know that can be that is no answer from the bone narrow.
Another thing to ask belinda, is what kind of anemie had in the past
baileys, because Now Tabs is 11 % of hematocrito and no regenerative anemie.

Re: Tabbs my Siamese in Spain to Belinda open to all comments please regarding l-lysine

2006-02-25 Thread Sandra

Hi Belinda,

Due to his Kidney readings being Ok my vet seems to think that the epogen
or Aranesp, will not help in this case, also remember he is FELV positive.
at the beginning his kidneys where not so good on the readings , but we
believe this was due to his bad mouth infecting the kidneys or that's what I
believe,
the other thing is that even though I have taken a report down to my vet to
read (she is German and did know all about interferon, and is also treating
3 other cats,) Her impression was a disinterest, due to some one who she
knows has done some studies on it,( so she really sort of blew it out.

She said as the Kidneys were working then it was not worth using it, also
she mentioned the cost. and ontop of this I would have to get it my self,
which on my past inquires I did meet a lot of stone walls.

But if you know that it is worth a try please advise me of any other person
who have treated there cats when the Kidneys are OK. I wish to thank you on
your response. and I am open to all comments. thanks.

I will let you know the blood results when I get them.

take care to you both Sandra

Re: Tabbs my Siamese in Spain to Belinda open to all comments please regarding l-lysine

2006-02-24 Thread Sandra

Hi Belinda, I have not been on line so much as I had some bad news 2 weeks
ago, with the last blood test showing Tabbs at HCT 10%, he drop from
HCT 21% , which was up on another test 2 weeks early where he had drop from
17.5 to 17.2, then the last test but one he went up to the HCT21% .To
have this big drop was a shock to me, as I thought he was picking up, so did the
new vet, The only good news is that on all the tests (4 now), his Kidneys
seem to be good.
He has been on the Interferon for the last 11 days, I have been lucky and
have been using the  feline interferon Virbagen omega, 1/2 ml every other
day, I am also luckly that he is still eating and has no side effects that are
showing . A little quite for a fews hours after the injection, which I am doing
at home.
I had a another blood test this morning, which will be the first after
using  the interferon, I was hopful that we were going to have some good
results, but when the blood was drawn, the blood did not look very
good, too much water showing, I will not know the results until hopfully
Saturday midday. So not looking so good. his mouth is still playing him up and I
will be restarting the stomorgyl as this seem to help him, but we took a break
from it when we started the interferon. Also he is on Iron and vitamins
supperments, and the Kidneys Fortekor 5

I have been trying to get the l-lysine from my
chemist, but their brand names are not the same, can any one help me by giving
me a list of all the ingredients that are normally listed on the packing., so as
I can try get a close match.

Belinda I read your up date this
morning, and really hope that things take a better course for you and Bailey,
think about you both, take care and stay strong

Hi Sandra,   With kidney problems anemia is quite
common, you need to get Tabbs on epogen, and it would be a good idea to join the
anemia list.  I just recently joined because my Bailey is anemic, we will
find out Tuesday if it is an auto immune response or the FeLV virus replicating
in his bone marrow or cancer.  He has been on epogen going on 2 weeks now
and so far on his last bloodwork his HCT was ho lding at 18%.  Tuesday he
will get bloodwork again to see if there has been any change.  Not making
the red cells means his anemia is non-regenerative and this makes it imperative
he gets epogen, if he is not making red cells he will not live very long, and
epogen takes up to 3 weeks to work. The fact that he is eating is good, my
Bailey isn't eating anything on his own and I am syringe feeding him
everyday.I couldn't read your bloodwork results are they in
spanish?  Can you ask your vet what the hemocrit value is, is this
[ GOT : <19 UI/25_0c ]  the hemocrit value on your bloodwork
results? Here is the address for the anemia list, they are very
knowledgable on kidney related anemia:http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Feline_Anemia/As
dangerous as it may be Tabbs mouth also needs to be addressed, untreated
infections can lead to much more dangerous things, even death.  What
antibiotic was/is he on for it?  Has it been checked to see if it is
cancerous?--

2006-01-17 Thread sandra
My feline family sadly has been reduced from 6 to 4, due too OUR RED BOY
rocky developing FELV back in the summer. He was our first stray to turn up
on our door step, AND WAS WITH US FOR 4 YEARS, Chang was the last to be
welcomed to our Villa, where upon he was only with us for 18 months, which
was very sad, as he was so pleased to have found a home, and we where very
upset to have him put to sleep due to kidney failure, and cat aids. on top
of having taken 6 months to win him round to believing that we where his
friends, it was very hard to not be in a position to treat him due to the
fact that one trick of catching him with a visit to the vets and I would
never get near him again for a month of Sundays. We had him neuter, and he
would not let me get near him for over 4 months , Even though I did win him
round again in the end. Now I also have our tabbs who tested FELV , he was
someone's pet at some time and is having all the help that I can give him,
even though I wonder if my Spanish vet is as on the ball as he would have be
believe,But his heart is in the right place and I think he is very good,

I could cry for you with regard to your stray boy, it is so sad than now he
knows love that he wants you all the time, my Chang was like that, I wish
you all the luck in the world in finding him a good home , or where you can
find a way round keeping him happy with the time that you can give him,

I do know that people have cats that are felv positive, and keep them in a
separate cat house out side away from there house cats, but you are always
unhappy that they can not be with you,

unless you could get him a friend who felv as well ,that he may get on with
once he is neutered.

good luck

take care Sandra
