Joe, This only works for enclosures that have the fan mounted inside. Yes, you place another filter spacer inside the box between the front panel and the fan. You can cut out the grill with wire cutters before installing. Longer screws will be required. The Digikey part number is: CR212-ND. I am sure that an equivalent could be found as well. Tim, Willi, I have had a lot of problems with a fancontroler oscilating wildly, covering the FMbroadcast, Airband and the lower TV channels with a collectormotor like noise. Are you saying that you just place another filter spacer, without filter and filter holder, on the inside of the front panel as well? Yep, That was me who reported it. There is a little too much back pressure generated between the fan and the vents. Just one comment; I hardly even hear my fan! Lot more things in the shack worry me like the Henry 3K's fan.
