RE: [info-tech] MS Settlement

2009-02-02 Thread Frerichs, Chad
I just called the number on my letter, and asked them what additional
proof of purchase they needed. The guy wasn't sure since what I had
submitted in his mind should have been sufficient. So, my case is being
referred to a researcher who will contact me with what further
information I need to submit to get our vouchers. If you didn't submit
invoices you may want to find them. That is what he asked me for first.

I got my letter last week and it has me down for a whopping 5 licenses. On
the original forms that we sent in, it has the purchase dates from May 1994
to June 2006 (July 2002 to June 2006 for state and local governments). On
the letter that they sent me, it only has the dates of July 2002 to June
2006 for eligible products. Did anyone else notice this on their letters?

2009-02-02 Thread Murray Gafkjen
I faintly remember an email about a Kevin Dear (Deer) from SouthwestPlus, it
was mentioned that we needed to submit our proof of purchase, since this person
failed to do so. I didn't, since the office kept the invoice, that was proof
enough for me. I haven't heard from MS, but I do have the paperwork waiting to
send back (copy of what I sent them last time).

We'll just have to see.

Second, figure out the problems with a single machine and using LightSpeed

We need a little more help with the Lightspeed. We still are not
getting any users to show up on our reports when using terminal
services. Also we do not get a lot of users showing up on stand alone
computer either. Is there some setting that I'm missing for that. I
know I need to get the LSGuide installed on the terminal server first.

Ok. The service did not help. I still am able to get to any and all websites
that I have blocked.

If it does not work internally, it will not work externally. The service
settings may be the answer to both.

Do you have the TTC Identification service running as a domain admin? How about
the IP Magic services?

The machines that you want to report on must have either the User Agent or
Security Agent installed.
