sekedar saran aja sih, sebaiknya HD 40GB itu IDEAL-nya dibuat 2 partisi aja, Yaa... itu sih klo mau OS-nya berjalan optimal dan menghindari crash. Aku agak sebenarnya aku agak kaget juga masak 40 GB dibuat empat partisi. Solusi pertamanya gitu. Coba cek, mungkin personal firewall nya aktif Win xp pro sp 2, secara default biasanya firewallnya ON. Klik kanan di icon lan connection di system tray, trus pilih change windows firewall setting. Masalahnya ada pada firewall di windows XP anda coba lihat di ICMP pada bagian firewallnya, settingnya bisa jadi allow incoming echo requestnya tidak dienablekan. Apakah anda pakai antivirus yang teringerasi dengan firewall juga, pastikan juga bahwa firewall anda tidak menutup port untuk ping TCP port 445. Biasa setelah diinstall sp2, driver hardwarenya ada yang gak cocok, bisa diperbaiki dengan cara update langsung ke Microsoft. Coba di check dulu pak. Hal seperti ini bisa beberapa sebab : 1. Dari sisi Windowsnya, waktu Install ada yang rusak, Saya pernah alami setelah saya install ulang beres. 2. Dari sisi Hardwarenya, biasa Motherboardnya, saya juga pernah alami, setelah ganti motherboard beres. Kebetulan masih garansi sih. Saya pakai Win XP SP 2 tidak ada masalah. Dear It-er Mohon bantuannya dong, teman saya ada masalah dengan computernya, computer tsb di install Win XP, biasanya kalau dinyalain selalu ada password bios terus masuk password dari win XP nya dan bisa dipergunakan, tapi hari ini begitu mau masukin password di win xp nya selalu restart ke dos prompt... Kalau coba di F8( Safe Mode ) setelah masukan passwordnya selalu larinya ke dos prompt. Ini kena virus atau kenapa yah?mohon advice nya dong..please...Thanks yah. Walah, Bung Albert salah persepsi ttg saya. Saya gak bilang loh klo saya benci produk Windows, karena trus trang OS yg pertama kali saya pakai Windows Versi 3.1. Memang saya akui saya pukul rata bahwa support untuk Win XP kurang lebih 5 tahun (saya blom cek di situs Microsoft mengenai life-cycle produk mereka). Mentakan saya dlm email sebelomnya menanyakan pendapat rekan2 di milis mengenai hal tsb. Saya cuma concern aja pada kebanyakan org di milis ini maupun di seluruh dunia klo misalnya suatu saat nanti Win XP sudah gak di-support lagi sama Microsoft. Soalnya seperti pada kasus Win 98 waktu dulu yg pernah dihentikan support-nya oleh Microsoft, lalu banyak org di seluruh dunia protes karena masih banyak org di seluruh dunia memakai OS Win 98. Akhirnya Microsoft memperpanjang support mereka untuk Win 98. Walau, beberapa tahun yg lalu support untuk Win 98 sudah dihentikan oleh Microsoft (padahal yg pakai Win 98 sampai saat ini di seluruh dunia masih banyak loch). Upgrade tsb dilakukan secara manual. Upgrade kernel di Linux akan mengatasi masalah security hole yg terdapat pada kernel versi sebelomnya. Juga akan mengatasi masalah pengenalan hardware2 jenis terbaru yg tdk terinstall ketika pakai kernel versi lama. Sedangkan untuk MS, andai Microsoft mau perpanjang support untuk NT 4.0 dan Win 98 sampai 10 taon ke depan misalnya, perusahaan chipset terbesar Intel Corp. blom tentu sejalan dgn Microsoft. Chipset Intel terbaru untuk mainboard socket LGA 775 misalnya, Intel tdk menyediakan dukungan driver untuk Win 98, hanya support Win 2000 Win XP saja. Mohon bantuannya, Saya ada problem di salah satu komputer saya. OSnya WIndows XP. Saya mau uninstall salah satu software, tapi waktu saya masuk ke Controll panel dan add/remove program, listnya kosong (tidak ada isinya) sedangkan di komputer tersebut ada banyak software terinstall. Solusinya: 1. Install ulang pakai Serial No yang license dari MS 2. Ganti product key (not recommended by law) aku udah lupa link nya tapi txt nya aku kopiin yah : WinXP SP Change Product Key without Reinstall: You won't have to worry about it for months, since SP1 won't ship until September or so. But there's this procedure that allows you to change your key. Use one of the corporate keys generated from the keygen that's been floating around for several months. Change Product Key without Reinstall: 1. Run regedit and go to: HKey_Local_Machine\Software\Microsoft\WindowsNT\Current Version\WPAEvents, on the right double click on oobetimer and change at least one digit of this value to deactivate windows. di crash in dulu.. kalo gw mah di del satu digit aje 2. Choose run from start menu and type in this command: %systemroot%\system32\oobe\msoobe.exe /a to get the activation screen and go to the second option which is activate by phone. 3. In the new screen choose the option to change product key, and type in the new product key (Corporate one only)***. gak boleh pirate yah :) tapi alhamdulillah temen gw ada yang ngasih serialnya dia 4.
