Re: [JAWS-Users] to continue with this problem
Do you use firefox? There is an option under options in advanced options (accessibilty). Once there disable (if marked) the field where it says 'search for text when I start typing'. It may have to with that when you hit enter it catches the auto complete address and not yours. In other words, say you want to go to a site that starts with 'you, auto complete will suggest you tube, for example and get you there wen you actually wanted to go to you shop or something. Sorry for the stupid example. I don't know, just a suggestion to try out. Re: [JAWS-Users] to continue with this problem
I just looked up the instructions for this and I think this will help. 1. Go to Tools and Internet Options. 2. Press control plus tab until you find the Content Page. 3. Tab until you find the two options for autocompleting personal information. In this case, you will want to press enter on the Personal Information option. 4. Once you press enter, tab through the various check boxes until you are satisfied with your current settings. Re: [JAWS-Users] Using Dictionary.com
Hi, This web site acts in a strange way, but you can easily navigate with a tab and a few down arrows. The biggest problem was getting stuck in the edit field, but some experimenting solved this. I am using jaws 10 and hit enter on the desktop dictionary.com icon. This immediately put me into forms mode. I entered a word and tabbed to the search button. I then arrowed down 4 or 5 times, and I then hit the h for heading. This took me to the definitions etc. I could easily navigate around with the arrow keys. This site certainly has much information. No, I only meant that I never need to turn forms mode on when opening a Browser. Putting an address into the address bar should not require you to turn on forms mode. When I open up Internet Explorer, I press tab once and I am ready to start typing the address into the address bar. When I open up Fire Fox, I am already in the address bar. Virtually every key has some JAWS-specific function, but this is only when navigating a web page, not your Browser. T. Yvonne, In order for Dragon to work properly with Jaws you will need the correct version of Dragon, Jaws and J-Say. If you have Dragon 9.5, you will need Jaws 9.051.92 and J-Say 6.1. For Dragon 10 you will need J-Say 6.2. [JAWS-Users] JAWS 10 and Windows Live Mail Composition
Sorry about that folks. I ended up sending a blank message. I'm using latest JAWS 10 and Windows Live Mail under Windows 7. It appears that when I create a new message, it ends up blank. This only seems to happen if a signature exists. If I reply, forward, or remove the signature, then I can write as normal and the message contents are displayed once sent. Does anyone know what I can do to fix this problem? Has anyone else even experienced this problem? Please advise as it's obviously a problem that should be addressed. Thanks in advance, and sorry again for the blank message. P.S. Just discovered that if I paste something from the clipboard I can see the contents, as in this one. This is with the signature.
