Re: [JAWS-Users] advanced system care
Advanced System Care is a registry cleaning computer maintenance program from IoBit. It supposedly speeds up your computer, but I don't know how accessible it is. At least a couple versions ago, it didn't prompt for you to backup your registry before it started doing modifications, so take it with a grain of salt and make sure you do backups first; it does have a rescue option, but I don't think that is the same. If you download it, be careful, it wants to install a toolbar. I don't know what the pro version offers over the free version. I'm not a big proponent of registry cleaners. Re: [JAWS-Users] ComboFix Documentation
I really have no documentation. A few years ago I had an interesting problem and my antivirus software support could not identify the problem. They had me download and run combo fix then send them the report that was generated. I since have used it several times but first did a backup of my system. I left it do it's thing and all was well. The problem that I first had was that a registry element was modified. No virus just something got in and changed it while I was on a web page. I still would like to smack that lad around. I think it may also have come from a porn spammer. I reported him to his internet provider. They told him who reported. I soon got an email that said bomb the lmchugh. -Original Message- From: Mike B. I'm using a focus40 bluee. Re: [JAWS-Users] my clean pc
It's likely that the PC cleaning program in question is being a little over-zealous in hopes that you'll pay. It's highly unlikely that you have thousands of "issues" that can be quantified and cleaned with a simple one-time payment. Often these programs will list, say, every single file that is slightly fragmented on your system as a separate issue. But modern versions of Windows are quite able to manage such tasks themselves. Unless you have a specific issue on your PC that you would like to resolve, and the program explains exactly how it will resolve it (i.e. antivirus scanners) I'd stay away. It's my understanding that Microsoft discourages the use of third-party registry cleaners and uninstallers. Re: [JAWS-Users] adding contacts within outlook 2007
There are a couple different ways you can do this. You can add them as they email you, by shift tabbing to the from field, hitting control a, and then hit the applications key, arrow down to add to address book, hit enter, then alt s and they are saved. Or you could open the address book from within outlook by hitting control 3, hit control n for new contact, and manually add them.. You can also import an old address book from outlook express, or download a cvs file from the net from gmail or hotmail and import them. Let me know what way works best, and I will dig out the instructions. HTH! Re: [JAWS-Users] JF14 update
Usually current version updates focus on bug fixes as users report problems; while upgrade versions include new features and functionality, support for new programs or operating systems, etc. I suppose that scripts are often used to create bug fixes in both updates and version upgrades- but will let the programmers out there comment on that question. My question is, if there is something for example add new scripts, new function, and Freedom will release this as a main version or as a part of the released version. Or it is up to them, that they are so nice, release many versions resp. subversion's included in versions 14.? All the minor updates within a single version like 14.0 to 14.x are not upgrades to a higher version. Re: [JAWS-Users] bugs with the new jaws 14 update
Sugar, JAWS 14 has been out for quite a while. There bugs some people are encountering; however, at least I have had no problems and I have the same software configuration as you specified. If you are so worried, keep the installation file for JAWS 13. If you don't like JAWS 14, you are covered. In fact, you don't have to uninstall previous versions of JAWS. Re: [JAWS-Users] JAWS install error- 'mirror display driver is not properly installed'
Hi friends the problem will persist even after that. There is only one solution of this problem so far. The solution is that, with out uninstalling jaws 14, run jaws 13 setup. when it will complete extracting the setup and installing display driver and will show the window for next, back cancel etc, just cancel the further instullation of jaws 13. Now use jaws 14 with jaws cursor, the problem will be solved. On 8/12/13, Don & Cher Bosch wrote: > D.J>- Were you installing the August JFW14 upgrade also?
