It appears legit, but you're not supposed to have any other programs running
when you run combofix.

Another option might be RKill which is made by BleepingComputer.com. It
closes known malware processes, which then allows you to try to clean your
computer with your normal antimalware and antivirus solutions. RKill
doesn't delete the program, so immediately after you run it, you need to
try to clean your computer; if you re-boot the process will start running
again if the malware hasn't been removed.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Problem with Windows mail and WLM

Hi there everybody
I could finally manage to install two new versions of Outlook Express on
Windows 7. One is named Windows mail and the other one is
named Windows Live Mail 8. I know WM and WLM are not the same as OE, but I
mean the interfaces are very similar. Now I have two
problems with both versions. The first problem is, neither one reads the
number of unread messages in my Inbox. the very bad
problem is , JAWS does not distinguish between the read messages and unread
messages. It only keeps saying unread, unread, unread.
I tried that with both WM and WLM8. I also tried both of them with all these
versions of JAWS: 10, 11 and 13.

Is there any kind of solution, script, setting, manipulation, configuration
or newer version of WLM or JAWS that can solve this
problem? For example if I add a piece of code to the scripts, or I use newer
versions of WLM or I use JAWS 14, this problem can be
solved?

Thanks in Advance

Re: [JAWS-Users] advanced system care

2013-08-12 Thread Steve
Advanced System Care is a registry cleaning computer maintenance program
from IoBit. It supposedly speeds up your computer, but I don't know how
accessible it is. At least a couple versions ago, it didn't prompt for you
to backup your registry before it started doing modifications, so take it
with a grain of salt and make sure you do backups first; it does have a
rescue option, but I don't think that is the same. If you download it, be
careful, it wants to install a toolbar. I don't know what the pro version
offers over the free version. I'm not a big proponent of registry cleaners.

I really have no documentation. A few years ago I had an interesting problem

me download and run combo fix then send them the report that was generated.
I since have used it several times but first did a backup of my system. I
left it do it's thing and all was well. The problem that I first had was
that a registry element was modified. No virus just something got in and
changed it while I was on a web page. I still would like to smack that lad
around. I think it may also have come from a porn spammer. I reported him to
his internet provider. They told him who reported. I soon got an email that
said bomb the lmchugh.

Scam, scam, scam! Don't waste your time or money with any so-called
"cleaning" programs advertised on TV or radio. They are more likely to
infect your PC with malware than to fix any problems. Use a reliable
utility like CCleaner, Glary Utilities or Advanced System Care, all of which
are free, to clean up your computer. If none of these programs improve your
computer's performance, then you may have a hardware problem that may
require the services of a qualified technician. If your computer is running
hot, I recommend installing a utility like Core Temp or Speed Fan to monitor
the CPU temperature. If the temperature consistently approaches about 60
degrees Celsius, then you may have a serious overheating problem which may
be adversely affecting your computer's performance.

A lot of those supposed services are more dangerous than they let on. Five
Thousand problems; I'm sure its counting every cookie as a dangerous

Before you go that route, try controlling the number of startup items you
have, cleaning and defragging your hard-drive, and CCleaner if you want to
use a decent registry cleaning program.

Re: [JAWS-Users] my clean pc

2013-08-12 Thread Grant Hardy
It's likely that the PC cleaning program in question is being a little
over-zealous in hopes that you'll pay. It's highly unlikely that you
have thousands of "issues" that can be quantified and cleaned with a
simple one-time payment. Often these programs will list, say, every
single file that is slightly fragmented on your system as a separate
issue. But modern versions of Windows are quite able to manage such
tasks themselves. Unless you have a specific issue on your PC that you
would like to resolve, and the program explains exactly how it will
resolve it (i.e. antivirus scanners) I'd stay away. It's my
understanding that Microsoft discourages the use of third-party
registry cleaners and uninstallers.

Hi Leonard,

Did they check the cooling & processor fans to make sure they are working
properly? As far as the PC Clener program, personally I don't like programs
that tell you have X amount of errors but, won't clean them unless you
purchase something. Have you tried CCleaner? It's free & works well.
Take care.

[JAWS-Users] latest update with mcafee

2013-08-12 Thread jim
Is anyone else using Mcafee total protection.
Uptil now, I have been able to see everything on the main page to manage my
computer.
Now everything is blank, blank, blank, my wife can still see the different
choices, I can see nothing whith jaws.
It’s like all the sudden Jaws is blind to this screen, Mcafee was working fine
with jaws 14 last week.
I do not understand what has changed, spent all day trouble shooting the issue
yesterday.
Any suggestions would be appreciated, it’s hard to manage your antivirus when
you can’t see it.
I will write F S support as well about this issue.

God's River Of Life

Listen to the waterfall roar, what an awesome sound, as we stand along the
rivers shore.
Listen to God's still voice, he is our great shepard now and forever, let us
rejoice.
as a piece of drift wood, we float, down the river of life, we go like a boat.
His voice is like the current, sudden or swift, he leads you through all lifes
turns and twist.
You might sometimes drift, get back in the middle of God's will, where the
current is swift.
Watch out for the rapids, and the hidden stumps, or you could be overturned and
possibly sunk.
Beware of snags and snares, god can gently remove us, because he always cares.
Just flow with the current of God's love, knowing that he is looking down from
heaven above.

Re: [JAWS-Users] adding contacts within outlook 2007

2013-08-12 Thread Kliphton
There are a couple different ways you can do this. You can add them as they
email you, by shift tabbing to the from field, hitting control a, and then hit
the applications key, arrow down to add to address book, hit enter, then alt s
and they are saved. Or you could open the address book from within outlook by
hitting control 3, hit control n for new contact, and manually add them.. You
can also import an old address book from outlook express, or download a cvs
file from the net from gmail or hotmail and import them. Let me know what way
works best, and I will dig out the instructions. HTH!

Re: [JAWS-Users] JF14 update

2013-08-12 Thread Don & Cher Bosch
Usually current version updates focus on bug fixes as users report problems;
while upgrade versions include new features and functionality, support for
new programs or operating systems, etc. I suppose that scripts are often
used to create bug fixes in both updates and version upgrades- but will let
the programmers out there comment on that question.

Hi,
We misunderstanding. My question is, if there is something for example add
new scripts, new function, and Freedom will release this as a main version
or as a part of the released version.
Or it is up to them, that they are so nice, release many versions resp.
subversion's included in versions 14.?

You won't use an SMA till version 15. All the minor updates within a single

2013-08-12 Thread Gary Patterson
Sugar, JAWS 14 has been out for quite a while. There bugs some people are
encountering; however, at least I have had no problems and I have the same
software configuration as you specified. If you are so worried, keep the
installation file for JAWS 13. If you don't like JAWS 14, you are covered. In
fact, you don't have to uninstall previous versions of JAWS.

Re: [JAWS-Users] JAWS install error- 'mirror display driver is not properly installed'

2013-08-12 Thread Mohib Anwar Rafel
Hi friends the problem will persist even after that. There is only one
solution of this problem so far. The solution is that, with out
uninstalling jaws 14, run jaws 13 setup. when it will complete
extracting the setup and installing display driver and will show the
window for next, back cancel etc, just cancel the further instullation
of jaws 13. Now use jaws 14 with jaws cursor, the problem will be
solved.
