Re: [JAWS-Users] [Bulk] jaws and repeating notifications?
JAWS has always done this and I've found no way around it. Sometimes, on web sites, it says the same thing over and over again for a while. I've decided (based on nothing but my own faulty reasoning) that when IE or Outlook or whatever is doing something, JAWS keep repeating the last thing it said just to let me know it's working ...and waiting or busy. Kind of the same idea as not having dead air on the radio, LOL! Of course, I could be, and probably am, entirely wrong. Re: [JAWS-Users] Using narrator

Thanks, Flor! I knew about Open Bok and Kurzweil, of course, but not the others. Since I will need the information for an upcoming meeting, I am obliged to him (smile). OK ...an OCR package? [JAWS-Users] trying to read PDF files from a Yahoo groups file section
I am attempting, unsuccessfully, to read some PDF files added to a Yahoo Group. Re: [JAWS-Users] jaws repeating title of a webpage.
I find JAWS does that constant repeat especially when you first log on to a page, or when you've done something on that page. Linda, you do know that you can set your email prefs to delete everything in the delete folder each time you close close your mail client, right? I can't remember which client you use, but I could do that in every mail client I've ever used, so you might want to prowl around in your options menu there and do that. [JAWS-Users] I hate to do this, but ...

[JAWS-Users] question about Second Life virtual viewer
Hi, I don't know if there are any here who use Second Life. I'm learning how, and someone from their virtual ability group (a wonderful bunch of incredibly helpful people!) recommended that I download a 3rd party virtual viewer called the Radigast viewer. I went to the site, but when I tried to download the viewer, AVG yelled at me, and said there was a threat. I'm wondering if anyone else has this, what the threat might be, and if I should ignore it or find something else. The viewer SL provides doesn't play very well with JAWS, and I understand that the Radigast viewer work well with it. Re: [JAWS-Users] outlook
Hi all, I suspect I know the answer to this, and I can deal with a you'll have to live with it, so hush now, and do so, but on the unlikely chance there may be a way to do what I want, I'll ask. After all, you all are far more knowledgeable than I, so let me explain. Until I got this computer, which my computer guru pre-loaded for me (with legally licensed software) I used Outlook express, and liked it. One of the things I really liked was that I could go into a folder, start with the first message, open and read it, hit delete, and the next message would automatically open and JAWS would read it. This made clearing a folder easy and relatively effort free. I can't do that with my Outlook 2007. I have to open the message, let JAWS read it, then close the message, delete the read message, go to the next message and repeat. I know I could probably find OE again somewhere, but there are features in Outlook I really do like, and, well, it's here, so I'm willing to keep it, and if there is no way to set it to do what I described above, I can live with that, too ... but is there a way? Re: [JAWS-Users] outlook
Thanks, Joseph, and thank you also for your concern. I have good message rules set up, and while it is possible to get something unwanted, it isn't likely, and if I do, I also have excellent defenses. In addition, I don't open attachments unless A. I know who they're from, and B. they are expected. Same with links. If I see an unexplained link, it never gets clicked. I've had my computer infected only once, and that was the one time I had to briefly close my antivirus program and firewall a couple of years ago. Soon as I turned them back on, the infestation was summarily dealt with, though of course, everyone in my address book got something with my name on it that I definitely didn't send. Hi, I finally found the information on the version of Outlook I'm using, and it looks like it's Outlook 2006. If I update to the latest version; 1. Will it cost me anything? I used these directions (less efficiently) to create my signature in Outlook 10 or whatever I have, and all went very well. Then I decided to edit my sig line, so that I could add my new blog. Got into signatures, no problem. Clicked on the signature name, no problem. Clicked on edit. Got myself into the signature block, and couldn't get a cursor so I could remove a word and add what I wanted to add. Ended up copying the sig line from one of my posts, going into Word, making the changes I wanted, going back to my signature in outlook, deleting it, then adding the new one which I had copied from Word into the signature block. I can see uses for that, especially when gathering several links that I want to attach to an email or a word document. This is the first time I have even heard of this feature, so is the keyboard command a Windows key stroke or a JAWS keystroke?
