It looks like Brentford plus one.
We have looked very iffy since the break.  We are not showing the panache and

Sorry,  but once bitten twice shy.  We have been more than bitten once.  We've

John, read Social media if you want to find plenty of examples of negative over
reaction, just as there was the opposite after we beat the 3rd team in the
league, but I'm sure you already knew that.  Everyone is entitled to their
opinions and I'm entitled to my opinion on their opinions. The fact is that
it's entirely in our hands, we are top we have a top manager who is bringing
the best out of a bunch of players many of whom were bang average 2 years ago
or cast offs from Premier league (Harrison & White).  The moans on the list

you’ve just referenced re the attitude of Leeds fans? Or was it just a daft
comment with you pretending to have a clue?

Yes, we have a reasonably easy run-in, but just drew with the league’s bottom
team, so how easy will it be for a side struggling to score?

Rob H ‘best footballing side for over 40 years’ - what, better than when we won
Div 1, or the season before, when the 4th place saw us play some staggering
football, or better than the Kewell/O’Leary era and the Champions League?

Ben White is a great player, but his defending AT THAT MOMENT was poor!

Leeds fans more than most can be a pretty negative bunch, and whilst we are in
a slightly better position than last year, there are also many similarities.

It is a good job that football is not an exact science, otherwise it could be
argued that making exactly the same mistakes as last year, will produce the
same result.

Such a small squad of senior players means an embarrassing lack of options to
change the game on the bench, with no cover for injuries or opportunity to rest
players.

Even with 9 players on the bench, the only striker alternative to Bamford is
also the only option at 10, when Hernandez is being nursed back in.

The long term injury to Forshaw left us with no alternative/cover for Phillips.
I would regard Shackleton as an alternative to Klich.

No proper cover at Centre Back, Luckily Ayling, Berardi and Phillips have just
about got away with it most of the time when called on.

Another terrible winter transfer window, where we bolstered the ranks with a 12
year kid, and a bloke who never played, but we still might have to pay £18M for.

A striker who is arguably the worst player in the team.

Anyone could be excused for doubting we can see it through. Or at least
fearing the worst.
But looking at it positively Derby could be the day when we clinch promotion
and deny them & Rooney a place in the play-offs. That would be sweet 

KOT.

Well that's me put in my place. Thanks for that.

Meanwhile, I am going to carry on LOVING watching a young, humble local lad
playing the pivot in the best footballing side we have had for over 40 years.
And I'm also going to enjoy watching probably the best English CH since
Ferdinand performing magnificently in a Leeds shirt.

Richard - could you paste the link to the survey please, you know, the one
you’ve just referenced re the attitude of Leeds fans? Or was it just a daft
comment with you pretending to have a clue?

Yes, we have a reasonably easy run-in, but just drew with the league’s bottom
team, so how easy will it be for a side struggling to score?

Rob H ‘best footballing side for over 40 years’ - what, better than when we won
Div 1, or the season before, when the 4th place saw us play some staggering
football, or better than the Kewell/O’Leary era and the Champions League?

Ben White is a great player, but his defending AT THAT MOMENT was poor!

FWIW I think we’d do better in the top flight with this team.

The other observation was because of Cooper’s injury we played most of the
game with 1 centre half, so Phillips was in essence playing central
defence.

I love your stereotyping English fans too - you sound ever so slightly bigoted.
Very clever.

‘White had no clue he was about to shoot’ - centre-forward, on his own, a rare
counter attack, yet you argue there was no clue he might shoot. What do you
think he was likely to do? Fuck me, you are Steve McLaren!

 Good points but ultimately wrong.
1. You used the word yourself - 'quickly'. That adjective could never be
applied to our Kalvin. Passing the ball sideways isn't a crime but sideways and
backwards 90% of the time as a midfielder aint good.
2. It was a good finish, but basic defending would have prevented that shot.

"Passing the ball sideways" is the classic crime which English "fans" love
to identify and make themselves sound as if they are clever. That remark by
McLaren, which was praised on here, was fuckwittery of the highest order,
and demonstrated right there why he has been appointed to so many jobs but
has ultimately failed every time.

2. White. The point about that goal was that it was an INCREDIBLE finish by
their lad. What all you armchair geniuses did not seem to notice was that
he produced that shot with absolutely no backlift. White therefore had no
clue that he was about to shoot, which was why he remained sideon ready to
respond to a further dribble. (Why do players have to produce these
incredible- I mean, literally, incredible - things against us? Last year,
that lad from Wigan was unplayable with his speed and skill. Has he ever
done anything since? That kid who scored last night.he will retire
in 10 years after kicking around the lower leagues, and the highlight of
his career will have been an amazing goal he scored at Elland Road. I mean
jeez, he couldn't even get into the starting XI of Lutin bloody Town.)
