TREE EDITION New in August 2020 --- - Adriaen Valerius: Nederlandtsche Gedenck-clanck (1626) - Ms Leiden, BPL 2792, c. 1620 - Ms Enkhuizen, 1667-1, 1659 Three Lute books from the Dutch Golden Age, edited by Jan W.J. Burgers This book comprises an edition of three collections of seventeenth-century Dutch lute music: the 76 pieces printed in Adriaen Valerius? Nederlandtsche Gedenck-clanck (1626), and two small manuscript collections, namely the six pieces in Leiden, Universiteitsbibliotheek, BPL 2792 (c.1620), and the nine pieces in Enkhuizen, Stadsarchief, MS 1667-1 (1659). With the present publication, the last collections of Dutch lute music that to date had not been made accessible in a modern edition are finally presented to the players and scholars. Most of the music consists of simple, but often attractive, settings of popular melodies and dance tunes, although we also find more complex pieces composed by famous lutenists or based on works by professional composers. [LUTE] Peter Steur transcribed the "Chilesotti Lute Book" / Free downlaod
Deutsch Nur durch kurze Beschreibung in einem Aufsatz, erschienen im Jahre 1912, und eine handschriftliche Übertragung in moderne Standartnotation durch Oskar Chilesotti kennen wir ein umfangreiches, heute als verschollen geltendes Manuskript mit Kompositionen für die Barocklaute. Peter Steur hat die Übertragung von Chilesotti (heute verwahrt im Museum der Fondazione Giorgio Cini in Bassano del Grappa, Venedig) in französische Tabulatur rückübertragen. Damit werden die Kompositionen wieder für Lautenisten zugänglich, die es gewohnt sind, aus aus Tabulatur zu spielen.. Die Ausgabe besteht aus vier Bänden: Band.I: Inzipits und Konkordanzen von Peter Steur, Vorwort von Michael Treder; Band II - IV: 284 Stücke, Komponisten u.a. Weiss, Kühnel, Pichler, Lauffensteiner, Hoffer. Zahlreiche Stücke sind ohne Konkordanzen. Peter Steur has retransmitted the transcription of Chilesotti (now preserved in the Fondazione Giorgio Cini Museum in Bassano del Grappa, Venice) into French tablature. In this way, the compositions are again accessible to lutenists who are accustomed to playing from tablature.
