[Mahara-contributors] [Bug 1937130] [NEW] Word missing in Mahara 21.04 manual

2021-07-21 Thread Dominique-Alain JAN
Public bug reported:

In the English version of the Mahara 21.04 manual a word is missing
between "An" and "appears" in the following string:

:index:`An appears at the top of the page ` if you opened a note that is
contained in more than one page. If you edit this note, it will be
changed in all locations where this note appears.

that should probably read:

:index:`An alert appears at the top of the page ` if you opened a note that
is contained in more than one page. If you edit this note, it will be
changed in all locations where this note appears.

[Mahara-contributors] [Bug 1681952] Mahara Hui FR 2018

2017-10-06 Thread Dominique-Alain JAN
Dear Kristina and Don,

Today we had our first Webconf meeting to start the process in
organising the next Moodlemoot and Mahara Hui FR. We have two
universities competing to organise the event but it seems that Brussels
is our top proposition so far. The final decision is taken by the 20th
of this month after a quick vote of the francophone community.

The association in charge of the organisation – moodlemoot.fr
<http://moodlemoot.fr/> - in which you already know some of their
members from Moodlemoot FR in Sion (Switzerland) two years ago (Nicolas
Martignoni - president, Séverin Terrier, Thierry Spriet, Paula, Nicolas
Thorel, and me) has decided to sign a contract with MoodleHD to become
the official Moodlemoot FR.

This contract, we already talked quickly about it at Sion, impose some
constraints in terms of communication and it seems that Martin Dougiamas
is quite strict on the fact that no other brands from other LMS vendors
can be seen when official Moodlemoots are organised. Nicolas Martignoni
has asked many times MoodleHD and Martin to have the right to organise
and communicate at the same time about a Moodlemoot and a Mahara Hui FR.
Nicolas told us today that these demands were always declined.

The consequence of this is that there is a high risk that next year
there won’t be any communication about Mahara Hui FR 2018. The call for
papers for the Moodlemoot Fr 2018 will be open to ePortfolio
contributions but they would be part of the moot and not anymore put
behind the banner of the Mahara francophone community.

This also there won’t be any opportunity to display Mahara sign,
banners, or flyers.

When we quickly talk about that matter you told me that you – Catalyst –
could maybe intercede with MoodleHQ to find an agreement or to discuss
the possibility to join Mahara Hui to Moodlemoot branding for different
occasions.

In the French community the history is that we started the first Hui
with the help of the Moodlemoot.fr <http://moodlemoot.fr/> organisation
because it was making sense, because in the comity we were using or
being Mahara advocate.

If moodlemoot.fr <http://moodlemoot.fr/> has to follow the strict rules
imposed by MoodleHD, it means we have to solutions:

1/ stop talking and advertising about Mahara Hui FR and still having papers
presented on Mahara and ePortfolios during the Moodlemoot FR, without branding
2/ organise at a different time in the year a proper Mahara Hui FR.

I would like to hear your voice on this matter to see how Catalyst
envisions the maintaining and development of Mahara Hui FR and the
francophone community.

Happy for a chat on Skype of Google HangOut at some point, if needed.

All the best,
Dominique-Alain Jan

PS : I will be down under in Mai-June to present my thesis and also to
seek for a new professional challenge

[Mahara-contributors] [Bug 1690415] [NEW] Override SmartEvidence icons with local folder

2017-05-12 Thread Dominique-Alain JAN
Public bug reported:

After a discussion with some users at the beginning of the week, it
could be interesting to be able to change the icons used to show skills
attainment on the SmartEvidence panel.

At present time, the icons are circles in different colours: grey when
ready for assessment, orange (half circle) when it needs some more work,
red when not attained, and green when the level of the skill is reached
by the user.

My proposition is to be able to change these icons by others in placing
the replacement in the local folder.

The context in which this feature is the following: stakeholders wanted
learners to use SmartEvidence to tell how much they think having
attained a skill (expertise) but also how pleasurable it was to reach
the skill level. For the latter it would make sense to use small smiley
(for example) than the coloured circles.

So the requested feature could be either simple: having a set of icons
in the local folder to replace those used for every SmartEvidence
matrix.

or

adding a set of icons for each matrix file, for example in a zipped
folder, we import aside of the matrix file in the Admin page.

[Mahara-contributors] [Bug 1688165] Re: Image not shown in group description if not a member of a group

Title:
Image not shown in group description if not a member of a group

Status in Mahara:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
Seen in Mahara 16.10 and 17.04 but most likely the case also in
  earlier versions.

When you include an image in the group description and someone who is
not yet a member of the group looks at the group homepage, that
someone cannot see the image as only members of the group have access
to the files that are saved in a group. In contrast to images added to
a text block on a page and the page then being shared and others can
see the images, that doesn't work for group homepages. If you add an
image to an image block though, you can view the image just fine.

  To replicate:

  1. Create a group and save it.
  2. Add an image to the group description (you can only do that after you
saved the group because before then you don't have group files available) and
save.
  3. Log in as someone else and view the group homepage. Expected result: You
see the image. Actual result: You can't and only see the alt text.

There are two possibilities going forward:

  1. Correct the permissions so you can view images added to the group
  description.

  2. Remove the possibility to add images in a group description. The
images don't show up in the overview page of the available groups. And
images can be added easily to the group homepage by using the image
  block.

It could be worthwhile to discuss not offering the possibility to have
all the formatting options for description fields such as group
description and page description. In the past, we wanted more
formatting options in page descriptions in order to circumvent the
column layout which was not flexible enough to have a banner across
the entire page. This has been possible for a number of versions now
and the need for page description formatting is not so great anymore.

Therefore, I wonder if we could dispense with either all formatting
options or at minimum remove the possibility to add images.

No matter the decision, since it's easy to get around the issue with
images in the group description, I'm marking this as a low bug.

[Mahara-contributors] [Bug 1682349] [NEW] Feature request: import other field of the user's profile when LTI creates a new user from LMS

2017-04-13 Thread Dominique-Alain JAN
Public bug reported:

With Mahara 17.04, LTI is a possible way of linking user accounts from a
LMS to Mahara.

Between Moodle and Mahara, with the LTI option "We create users"
activated, a user is created when jumping for the first time from the
LMS to Mahara.

At the moment only the email, first name, last name are pushed from
Moodle into the user's Mahara profile.

I wish other information from the Moodle profile could be pushed such as
the profile picture, address,… as long as the LTI protocole allows to do
this.

[Mahara-contributors] [Bug 1678600] Re: Problem with top menus (icons) in 17.04 dev

2017-04-03 Thread Dominique-Alain JAN
I have downloaded the tar file and uploaded replaced from it the theme folder.
Now it is working fine.
Still don't understand why the make css does not work.

For future versions of Mahara, would it be a way to automatize the
upgrade of the css files?

Hello,
I have installed gulp (npm install -g gulp) in my htdocs.
I than launch the making of css files by make css

I get the following error :

make: *** No rule to make target `css'. Stop.

Should I delete something first ? Should I go in a different folder ?

[Mahara-contributors] [Bug 1625863] Re: Adding cli for langpacks

2016-09-21 Thread Dominique-Alain JAN
Could we imagine that, as it is the case with Moodle, this script
becomes part of the upgrade.php script and automatically upgrade the
langpack to the latest version of the release at each upgrade?

The upgrade script would look at the installed langpacks and upgrade
them with the latest version.

Langpacks (I am talking about the French's one at least) are evolving
with the feedback of users pointing out mistranslation or
grammar/spelling mistakes. So it is good to update the pack on one's
distro time to time. The upgrade.php could do this.

Regards,
-dajan

  Adding cli for langpacks

Status in Mahara:
  In Progress

Bug description:
When Mahara is being updated to a new minor or major version, admins
need to remember to pull language packs separately as they are not
part of the core distribution. This cli script will make that easier.

  This this cli does:
  1) Install / update langpacks by listing the languages by their code, eg de =
German, fr = French like so

  sudo -u www-data php admin/cli/sync_langpacks.php -l=de,fr

This will make a backup of the existing language (if exists) into the
  dataroot langpacks_backup directory.

  2) If you don't want to make backups then add the -b=false flag, eg

  sudo -u www-data php admin/cli/sync_langpacks.php -l=de,fr -b=false

  3) If you need to rollback the backups you can use the -r=true flag,
  eg

  sudo -u www-data php admin/cli/sync_langpacks.php -l=de,fr -r=true

[Mahara-contributors] [Bug 1579462] [NEW] A new window is not opened when clicking on the "Manage all notes content" button in the "Note" block

2016-05-07 Thread Dominique-Alain JAN
Public bug reported:

The Mahara users manual says that a new window is opened when users
click on the link "Manage all notes content" in the "Notes" bloc when
adding a copy of an already used note.

Instead, the current page is reloaded (losing all changes - Ok there is
a warning but still) and a page with all the notes displayed.

According to what the manual says, a new windows should be created
instead of changing the content of the current one.

they agree to open the code and whether the features are worth to be

Despite we can't import file from an iPad, because, there is no user
files or folders access on iOS 5, we could nevertheless imagine a way
to import file and further more improve access to personal documents
to user regardless the platform they are using.

For example, in Moodle 2, it is also not possible to import directly a
file from the iPad though, we can, through the file picker and the
plugins access to repositories outside the iPad, such as DropBox or
  Boxnet.

Giving Mahara the ability, as Moodle, to access external repositories
may improve the user experience in giving him access to their files
regardless of the platform they are using.

[Mahara-contributors] [Bug 929499] Re: Request for a wider range of sources in the file picker

2016-05-01 Thread Dominique-Alain JAN
The cloud plugin is not working anymore with present version of Mahara
(since 1.7 I think).

In the wish that eP users foster the ownership of their material, it
would be interesting that Mahara can use files stored elsewhere
(external repositories) such as DropBox or GDrive.

The idea is that Mahara will manage the metadata (keywords, description,
etc.) and either keep an handle to the original file or let user to copy
it into his/her personal files zone on Mahara.

Something close to what Moodle is doing to manage files in courses.

Bug description:
I discovered James Kerrigan and Geoffrey Rowland's plugin called CPD.
I really think this was missing in Mahara. In a portfolio people
(stakeholders) are interested in recording actions for their
Continuing Professional Development (CPD), Personal Development
Planning (PDP), or their Further Training Activities. Personal
Development Planning also became compulsory for some professions in
Scotland and in other parts of EU.

Therefore I suggest the code of this plugin being embedded into Mahara

[Mahara-contributors] [Bug 1548263] [NEW] Feature request : Attached files to comments should not count toward disk usage of the users

2016-02-22 Thread Dominique-Alain JAN
Public bug reported:

Since a couple of versions of Mahara it is possible to add files to
comment of a user's page or artefact.

The manual says : "Comment authors can attach a file to their comment to
give you longer feedback or oral or video feedback. The files that they
add are placed into your personal *Files* area so you can use that
feedback later on."

The files (video, audio, text) are then added to the users' files area
and I understand that they count to determine the remaining allowed
space given by the admin to the users.

Because the size of documents added that way to users' files area is not
controlled by the users, I think it is not right to count these in the
calculation of the remaining quota.

1/ I suggest that files attached to comments are managed in a special
folders (e.g. Users'Files --> Commments) and that this folder don't
count to calculate the remaining users' disk quota.

2/ In addition to this we could have a site admin setting to manage a
quota for files attached to comments to avoid a server overloading by
tutors commenting on users' productions.

[Mahara-contributors] [Bug 1467252] Re: Display problem with Switchbox when label strings aren't the same length as "On" & "Off"

2015-10-16 Thread Dominique-Alain JAN
Aaron, we find switch boxes elsewhere as well. For example when you
write a note and can decide whether to make it public or not.

[Mahara-contributors] [Bug 1381228] Re: Problem with journal entry only showing creation date and not modified date

2015-09-30 Thread Dominique-Alain JAN
Hello,
This Mahara journals' behavior was also reported by the Nursing school in
Friboug last Monday. Students reported they have regularly created journal
entries alongside their semesters (as requested) but have filled them with
their reflections on the very last minutes.

Tutors noticed nothing because the forum post doesn't show neither the
date of publication nor the last editing of the message.

This is then a serious issue whether we want to be sure that students
engage on a regular basis with their reflexive journal. I then also vote
for this to be changed in the next version of Mahara, if it is possible
to do so.

Taking a quick look at this - a journal entry displays the creation
date - which should never change.

What would be needed is to either display the modification date
instead of the creation date (which are the same initially but change
on editing) or have both display if different, eg

[Mahara-contributors] [Bug 1478339] [NEW] Color scheme problem when editing pages in 15.10

2015-07-26 Thread Dominique-Alain JAN
Public bug reported:

Hello,

Using the standard theme in Mahara 15.10 dev I think that color scheme
chosen when editing the pages is a bit odd.

(see inclosed picture)

In short, the bin icon to delete blocs on the page are in red, which is a
standard color for such operation
On the top of the page, I have the add/delete columns option on, therefore I
see the for each column a green zone to add a column on the right and another
green zone to add one on the left; green is a standard color for such operation
Between the two green zones there is a purple zone to delete the current
column; this color is strange should be the same than the one used for the bin

On the left hand side, the toolbox has also purple zones, which should
tell the user that it has the same meaning than the other purple
delete one on the top of the columns.

So for me the color scheme is confusing and not coherent here. Maybe
need to be revisited

etc.). In the new bootstrap design it is difficult to know where the
lines are starting and moreover to guess hown many columns each line
  contains.

  Proposition:

1/ to draw fine dotted lines around possible placeholders
2/ to light grey the background of possible placeholders
4/ to force the Setting Show controls to add and remove columns when editing
a page to true for all new users

[Mahara-contributors] [Bug 1467254] [NEW] In admin plugin the config butons are not coherent

2015-06-21 Thread Dominique-Alain JAN
Public bug reported:

In the config--plugins page, you have replaced the link Config by a
config button, but some previous links are still present:

 * comment/comment
 * file/files
 * internal/profile

For those three and for coherence sake the link should be replaced by a
config button

2015-06-21 Thread Dominique-Alain JAN
Public bug reported:

When you go in

You get a box after the label Username: (which is also too far from

If you click into the box and the outside the box without entering any

Hello Aaron,

I think so, it is because when I found this old bug report and wanted to
inform you that both were linked.

Thanks to had the time to look at this old odd Mahara behaviour.

Title:
Problem in finding translations in third party plugins

Status in Mahara ePortfolio:
  Triaged

Bug description:
  Branch 1.4
  Branch main

From Mahara 1.2 the mechanism to get display other language than
English has changed. Previously localized strings where placed in
different parts of the core code, together with the /lang/en.utf8
  folders.

For now, the lang menu is showed only if one or mere xx.utf8 folders
are found in the maharadata/langpack folder. And after a discussion
about this with François I agree this is fine.

Normally, when a non-English language is selected by the admin or the
user, it seems to me, that Mahara first looks into the core lang
folders for the appropriate xx.utf8 folders and if not found, goes
  into the langpack afterwards.

With some plugins this works fine (e.g., CPDS) and for example French
strings are displayed from the fr.utf8 folders embeded in the plugin
folder. With some others (embdly, externsource, ldap, ...) this
doesn't work. To get the French translation, the admin has to move the
fr.utf8 from the core plugins folders and place them into the langpack
  folders in the maharadata.

I don't understand that the behaviour is different from one plugin to
  another.

Moreover, I would propose that the multilingual mechanist become the
  following:

  1) I can cope with the obligation to create a xx.utf8 folder in the
maharadata/langpack folder to avoid having a list of undesired
languages in the language menu. This gives system admin a way to
control languages displayed on the platform.

For each string to be displayed:

  2) Mahara gets the user/system selected language (xx)
  3) Mahara first looks into the langpack/xx.utf8 folder. If the folder is
found, Mahara uses all the strings of these files to display information
  4) If the string is not found, Mahara looks into the core lang/xx.utf8
folders to find it, if found, it displays the information
  5) If the string is not found, Mahara looks into the langpacks/en.utf8 folder
  6) If the string is not found, Mahara looks into the core lang/en.utf8 folder
  7) If the string is not found, Mahara displays an error with the name of the
string? (But this should never happen).

  That way:

  A) developers can offer localised versions of their plugin without
giving more work to the system admin for moving files from the plugin
  to the maharadata/langpack

  B) Wether admins want override a translation or the en.utf8 strings,
they can by adding xx.utf8 or en.utf8 folders into the langpack
  folder.

Maybe a discussion could start here about this (bug report and feature
request)

[Mahara-contributors] [Bug 1455122] [NEW] Upgrade form 1.10 to 15.04 fails if 3rd party plugins are not present

2015-05-14 Thread Dominique-Alain JAN
Public bug reported:

When upgrading from 1.10 (latest build) to 15.04 (latest build) today I
get the following error because some 3rd party plugins are not present
on my server but, due to the lack on auto-unstallation, their traces
remain in the database.

If I run again the command later I get the second error message (see
below).

The upgrade process should be resilient when 3rd party plugins are not
here. I think we already had this with previous versions of Mahara and
it has been fixed. My only way to upgrade to 15.04 is either :

1/ Find all the bit of information related to the missing plugins and delete
them from the database
or
2/ Reinstall everything from scratch loosing all the data from the Groups (no
option to export group work in Leap2a)
or
3/ Reinstall the missing plugins. I already tried this solution without
success; some plugins are so old and unmaintaned that they crash the server
when re-introduced inside Mahara.

[Mahara-contributors] [Bug 1295472] Re: Booklet plugin

2015-04-22 Thread Dominique-Alain JAN
Hello Christophe,

Mahara is introducing Smart Evidence step 1 with 15.04 and will go
forward step 2 in 15.10. Smart Evidence is funded by the University of
Canberra and the blueprint about it can be read here:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/mahara/+bug/1409546

Do think either that SmartEvidence is different enough to Booklet and
therefore it makes sense to have them both in Mahara or SmartEvidences
can remplace Booklet?

2015-03-12 Thread Dominique-Alain JAN
Hello Aaron,

It was working for years until a few days ago. My source is the
following :

root@ubuntu:/var/www/html/mahara/htdocs# git remote -v
origin git://gitorious.org/mahara/mahara.git (fetch)
origin git://gitorious.org/mahara/mahara.git (push)
root@ubuntu:/var/www/html/mahara/htdocs# git pull
fatal: Could not read from remote repository.

Please make sure you have the correct access rights
and the repository exists.

Nothing has changed on my three Mahara platforms but the error is
happening on all of them.

Cheers,

Today, interests is diplayed on position #2 after Cover letter (and before
skills, employement, education history...)
Depending on your country, culture, the order could be different. I would
suggest to add an option in the admin configuration, to organize/order the My

[Mahara-contributors] [Bug 1396564] Re: Add password recovery with CLI

2014-11-30 Thread Dominique-Alain JAN
Why I suggest this is :

1/ Creating a CSV is longer
2/ Moreover what do you do when the admin has lost the admin password?

On Moodle you just launch the changepassword.php CLI, enter the
username, enter the new password when prompted. Done. Quick, clean and
works with any type of users.

installed several earlier core plugins this way. The most recent was
artefact/comment, installed as part of the Mahara 1.5.0 upgrade.

But, the change for Bug 1311428 causes not-yet-installed plugins to be
included in the return results from check_upgrades(), and then assumes
that the calling script will filter these out. The GUI upgrader was
modified to filter these out, but the CLI upgrader was not.

  To replicate:

  1. Install Mahara 1.9
  2. Check out the current 1.10 HEAD
  3. Run the command-line upgrader (sudo -u www-data php
/path/to/mahara/htdocs/admin/cli/upgrade.php)

  Expected result: Should upgrade smoothly

[Mahara-contributors] [Bug 1312672] [NEW] Import one font into Mahara fails

2014-04-25 Thread Dominique-Alain JAN
Public bug reported:

After several tries to import a font file, I noticed that I
mistranslated the information on the Install Font page. So the end of my
bug report is irrelevant.

But, I think that because all the file format are required to import a
single font, the explanation text should be more clear (maybe some text
in bold?) and all the field must be specified as required (bold red *).

-dajan

- the below part of this message became irrelevant / kept for history
purpose ---

Bug 1 - A licence file seems to be needed to import a font but no
information (*) is displayed to tell the user about it before the
importation fails with the message : This file is required.

Bug 2 - Even if a licence file is selected together with a font file, errors
messages are still displayed
  - no file selected
  - this is not a valid xxx font file

Procedure 1 :

1/ Go to Administration - Configure site - Fonts
2/ Click on Install font
3/ Give a name (eg. Huxtable)
4/ Leave everything else like it is
5/ Select a TTF font file (e.g. the one attached to this bug report : Huxtable
- huxtable.ttf)
6/ Click on the Install font button

Expected behaviour :

The font is installed with the given name.

Real behaviour :

The follwing error messages are displayed :
a/ This is not a valid EOT font file. (with no file selected in red)
b/ This is not a valid SVG font file. (with no file selected in red)
c/ This is not a valid WOFF font file. (with no file selected in red)
d/ License file This field is required.

Procedure 2

1/ Repeat steps 1 to 5 of procedure 1
2/ Select a file for the licence (e.g. readthis.html)
3/ Click on Install font button

Expected behaviour :

The font is installed with the given name.

Real behaviour :

Same as in procedure 1 but without the error message : Licence file This
field is required.

Propositions :

1/ Mark the field Licence as required (bold red *)
2/ Check if one file is selected and import it. If more than one file is
selected import them. If no file is selected display an error message

Ok.

Found later in the manual and also misread the explanation on the top of
the page, that you have to provide all the formats ! So my proposition
is more simple, make clear that all fields are required (red bold *).

Sorry for the previous message.

[Mahara-contributors] [Bug 1275440] [NEW] Fresh install of Mahara 1.9 creates 2 keywords automatically

2014-02-02 Thread Dominique-Alain JAN
Public bug reported:

I have installed a fresh 1.9dev.

I have added two institutions and then have deleted one.

I have uploaded a file into my personal file zone

When I am editing the file preferences to add a key word I notice that
one keyword already exist :

lastinstitution:name of the institution I have deleted

with the information that (2) occurrences of this keyword exist, but I
am not able to find them.

I don't think this feature is documented somewhere, is I am right, it

Bug description:
  from Anne Stevens

When assessors review a portfolio that has been submitted to a group,
they usually look at the portfolio in stages and make comments.
However, they'd like to hold all comments until they have finished
reviewing the entire portfolio in case they need to make changes to
individual comments / the overall feedback.

It would be good if an assessor could decide to hold feedback until
the release of a page / collection.

[Mahara-contributors] [Bug 1235877] [NEW] Add file in a resume - interface consistency

2013-10-06 Thread Dominique-Alain JAN
Public bug reported:

Version : 1.8RC

In Content-Resume

Context :
You want to add files as attachment for different points of your resumé
(certificate, letter of recommendation, etc.).

What is expected :
You fill in the form for an entry in your job history and at the botton you
have a link or a button to add a document either from your personal file zone
or from your computer if the document is not already in the formal.

How it works in 1.8RC:

A) At the bottom of the form you get the option to add a file with a
Browse button. This button only lets you go and upload a file from
your computer not from your personal file zone.

B) The plus sign link (+) under the Browse button lets you add many
Browse button without actually having uploaded a file with the
previous Browse button.

C) The plus sign link (+) disappears (but it is still clickable) when
'mouseovered' once.

D) When the form is then saved and accessed again for editing, the add
file interface has changed and a button Add file is displayed instead
of the *Browse and plus (+) sign.

Conclusion: the interface for adding and managing attachment to resumé
is not consistent and may be confusing for certain users and then should
be revised.

This is related to bug #1207535 Provide some default skins in Mahara
core https://bugs.launchpad.net/mahara/+bug/1207535

I don't remember having translated the strings of the Page Skin new
feature for 1.8. I don't find them either when I do a lookup on the
master langpack version in Launchpad.

Are they in core ?

uploading multiple files - only last one gets marked complete

Status in Mahara ePortfolio:
  Triaged

Bug description:
Problem with the javascript not marking all file uploads as complete.

Using firefox on Ubuntu - Steps to reproduce:
  1) Go to Content - Files and click the Upload file box
  2) Select multiple files to upload and click 'Open'

All the selected files show the 'Uploading ...' message but only the
last one then ticks over to 'Uploaded ...'.

Refreshing the page shows that all the files have actually uploaded.

Note: I was using 6 small image files to test with (between 7kb -
  600kb).

Does this bug also encompass the information I gave you about the diff
in the database structure that multiple and successive upgrades can
create?

If the install/upgrade is going to fail, it should ideally fail before
it starts writing to the DB (especially on MySQL).

We should therefore make sure that any system requirements checks are
done prior to the install / upgrade.

[Mahara-contributors] [Bug 1036556] Re: Embed PDF

2012-08-14 Thread Dominique-Alain JAN
I think this most depends on the web browser the user uses. In some
(Firefox, Safari) ones can add plugin to do that but not all web browser
provide out-of-the-box pdf display features.

I am wrong?

Bug description:
These days, a number of people have stored publications or other
things they want to show off online. They should be able to link to
them in their achievements, e.g. the link to a published article etc.
At minimum, the link should be clickable, e.g. automatically like in
forums when you enter a link even without linking it directly. But
even better if these fields also had the tinyMCE editor available.
