[MLO] Re: BUG? MLO-Android: "Lock profile" requires passcode no matter the time set in "Require Passcode"

2018-01-11 Thread Roberto Penzo
Update: if I choose "15 seconds" as the timeout, it works well. With other
timeouts it does not work.

Thank you Alyona.
I cannot intentionally reproduce the bug, but I am sure that it happened.
So my plan is to better investigate the conditions that reproduces the bug.

Best regards.

[MLO] BUG? MLO-Android: Complete recurrent task by Notification pop-up

2018-01-01 Thread Roberto Penzo
Hi all.
A happy new year!

I discovered a bug. Whenever I check complete a recurrent task having a
reminder set, by using the "Complete" key on the Notification pop-up (on
Android 6.0 it is the pop-up displayed on the top of the screen only for
some seconds), MLO only reschedules the reminder date, not the Start & Due
Dates.
The behavior with the task Form at the center of the screen works fine
instead.

Some of you has noticed it?

[MLO] BUG? MLO-Android: "Lock profile" requires passcode no matter the time set in "Require Passcode"

2017-12-27 Thread Roberto Penzo
Hi all.
I am running MLO Android rel. 2.12.0.

Long time ago, on the "Lock Profile" setting I set a Simple Passcode on
"Lock Profile", and I also set a 2 hours time on the "Require Passcode"
option.
It worked fine until a certain date (a certain release? which one?), but
now, on 2.12.0, it requires me to enter the passcode every time I launch
MLO, no matter how much time has passed from the last time I launched it.

Someone of you is experiencing the same as me?

Thank you very much.

Roberto from a city near Venice, Italy.

Hi Mandie.
I've done a loto of work to get my Excel works and now I use it usefully.
But I sometimes discover bugs that I fix every time I discover, so I think
it is better for you to wait until it seems that no new bugs arise.
I also have to update the document describing the functions, mainly for me

2017-07-06 Thread Roberto Penzo
I have no problem to share the whole Excel file. Let me only insert also
the floating recurring tasks.

Obviously it is "as is": no full control of user entries. Example: if you
insert a text as date, it runs a Excel exception.

But as a matter of pleasure, I can share it. You can also inspect the code.
The variable names are in italian.

If someone is interested in converting it in a app I will be happy.

[MLO] Re: Google calendar integration: when?

2017-05-31 Thread Roberto Penzo
It should be a way to add to the calendar only the tasks that you want
(those that you are focusing on for today or for some next days) as to get
a reasonable plan, and also to have the appointments appearing on the todo
list, just to be able to evaluate the plan also on the todo list.

Very simple, but very effective.

[MLO] Google calendar integration: when?

2017-05-25 Thread Roberto Penzo
Today I received a mail announcing that Todoist app got this integration.

It is a signal: more and more we need to place some activities as timeslots
on the calendar among the appointments to correctly plan things to do.

I hope that the team of the developers evaluate this big feature.

Thank you.

Ok. Thanks. The bug happened a few weeks ago. In the meanwhile I probably
updated MLO Android and I am not sure if some fix was added. Furthermore,
my feel on this bug is that the bug is not appearing every time. I will
collect more symptoms.

[MLO] Bug on MLO Android: crash at startup when a you leave a filter string on "Search all tasks" field

2017-04-26 Thread Roberto Penzo
Hi all.
I discovered what I think it could be bug:

If on MLO Android you set a string on the field "Search all tasks" (on the
top of the main page), and, and then exit the MLO without deleting the
content of the string field, at the next MLO launch it immediately crashes.
This behavoir repeates itself one, two, three times, then it finally does
not crashes, but it takes a long time to show the tasks, as it would be
remaking a internal indexing of the tasks.

Any of you is able to reproduce it?

I am running MLO Android on LG G4 (Android 6.0, MLO 2.9.1).

Thank you.

Best regards.

Not su much. I would have a way to plan the MLO tasks as timeslots into the

On MLO Facebook I tried to describe the way I would like it.

[MLO] Re: Find behavoir: on MLO Android, words are considered "OR" (I don't like), on Desktop "AND" (I like!)

2017-04-09 Thread Roberto Penzo
Yes, I confirm: the search works as expected. Thank you very much.

By the way, I discovered what I think it is a bug: if you set a search
string on MLO Android and, after the search you do not delete the content
of the string field and then exit the MLO, when you open again MLO, it
immediately crashes. Ths is repeated one, two, three times, then finally it
does not crashes, but then it takes a long time to show the tasks, as it
would be remaking a internal indexing of the tasks.

Can you try to simulate this?

[MLO] Re: Syncing Views and Workspaces between platforms

2017-03-25 Thread Roberto Penzo
I agree with you. This is my experience too.

The world is getting complex and complex, so things helping us should be
NOT complex on use. I hope that in the future MLO will no more need these
manual care.
I understand that, to keep it simple, MLO asks the developers some extra
work. That is quite tiring for them, but it is the truth.

I would add one other item: the manual ordering of the tasks on the views
is not synced among devices (only the starred view is synced for now).

[MLO] Re: Flags added to MyLifeOrganized on Android

2017-03-13 Thread Roberto Penzo
Thank you again.
Just an example: my use of flags.

I made seven flags (Monday, Tuesday,...) and I made a Group view showing
only the items with these Flags.
This is my personal plan of the week.
What I put on Monday is my wish to do. The Due Date only suggests me the
due task. I have other views where to evaluate the due tasks and where to
change Flags.

This helps me in place of Google calendar integration.

Cheers!

[MLO] Find behavoir: on MLO Android, words are considered "OR" (I don't like), on Desktop "AND" (I like!)

2017-02-04 Thread Roberto Penzo
Hi all.
Hope the subject just explains my concern.
Just for better, I add:

-MLO Android, at the top of main window you can find the FIND field.
If you write two words ("say" and "hello"), you will get all the tasks that
have in the caption field (i.e. description) the word "say", and all the
tasks that have "hello". I do not like. I like the behavoir of MLO Desktop:

-MLO desktop, you can use for this the Ctrl+L field or the Ctrl+F field.
If you write two words ("say" and "hello"), you will get all the tasks that
have at the same time in the caption field (i.e. description) the word
"say" and "hello". I like it.

Why this difference?

I say hello to all of you!

[MLO] Re: Desktop Notifications?

2017-01-23 Thread Roberto Penzo
Yes, absolutely!

HOW-TO

When a task is selected, look at the right pane ("Properties pane") (if you
cannot see it, recall it with Alt+F2). Then search for the checkbox
"Reminder" contained into the zone "Timing and Reminder". Just below the
checkbox "Reminder" you will find a date/time. Click into it to set the
date/time.

For your second request you are not lucky: the notification will never
disappear.

Bye!

[MLO] Re: Question about displaying days left until Due Dates

2017-01-16 Thread Roberto Penzo
Yes, you can configure it that way:

menu: Tools\Options\Themes and Formatting\Formatting\Date and Time
Format\tab General: uncheck all the four boxes: Use "Today" - Use
"Tomorrow" - Use "Yesterday" - Use Week Days for the current week.

By the way, look also on the tab Advanced (menu: Tools\Options\Themes and
Formatting\Formatting\Date and Time Format\Advanced): on the section "Use
other format if date within..." you can set the range for the default
format "R". The format R is only one of the available formats you can
choose. See:
menu: Tools\Options\Themes and Formatting\Formatting\Date and Time
Format\tab General\click Learn more on format string.

Best regards.

[MLO] Re: google calendar integration

2017-01-04 Thread Roberto Penzo
Hi all.
On Facebook board I have posted a proposal of HOW it could be made. If you
like you can read my long post that i copy here below, where I also report
some remarks by Andrey (MLO) and Rick Kennedy. What do you think about?

-FACEBOOK POSTS---

Copied from Facebook proposals:
---
Roberto Penzo 23 Dec 2016 : WHAT I WOULD REALLY LIKE TO GET:
1 - please, please...bidirectional sync with Google Calendar as fully as
possible;
2 - manual sort views (one at least) sync thru al the devices.
---
MyLifeOrganized - MLO Thanks Roberto.
1 - how do you see this sync? MLO stores tasks and Calendar events. Do you
want *all* mlo tasks with dates to be moved to the calendar and synced? I
guess there would be a mess if we do it. How do you see it?
Andrey.
---
Roberto Penzo: About the current MLO calendar, let me first say which
would be for me the best MLO-calendar way of integration.

TARGET: the goal for me is a way to drag & drop a task from a tasklist and
place it on a free slot of a Google calendar view already populated with
the Google events of my life.
This is a very intuitive and way to Get Things Done: every time I worked in
that way, using for instance the Android app IsoTimer to merge events and
tasks on a visual calendar, I experimented a period of extra personal
productivity. But IsoTimer is not as performing as MLO!

How to implement this? Only a proposal:

PLAN VIEW
Create a "PLAN VIEW" (at least on MLO Desktop, I do not think that a
smartphone has the power to do this in a very useable way, hope to be
wrong...):
- ZONE 1 (top of the screen): Google Calendar view. Shows the events of the
Google Calendar in a week or day table: days as columns, hours of the day
as rows, rectangles as events, with the width proportional to the duration
of the event. This is very important, as it lets you to find the free time
slots where to put the tasks (see below, ZONE 2). Ability to filter the
events by "calendar layers" (in Google Calendar you can create several
different "calendars" all overlapped as different layers - every event
stays on only one calendar layer).
- ZONE 2 (bottom of the screen): MLO task list (with ability to filter by
context or flags...).
- PLANNING FEATURES: When I drag and drop a task, a event is created on the
Google Calendar cloud database, with date/start time of the drop position.

DETAILS:
1 - while dragging the task, a dialog window will ask on which "calendar
layer" to create the corresponding event on Google Calendar database
(default: the last one used).
2 - the task will get a default duration (or a dialog box could propose
it), but a way to shorten or lengthen it is needed (stretch the lower edge
of the rectangle...).
3 - the task on MLO will get a (new) Context with the name of the selected
"calendar Layer".
4 - the sync will be bidirectional for all the "calendar layers" of Google
Calendar database. "calendar layer <-> Context. Eventually a enable sync
table would be useful to choose which calendar layers to consider on sync.
5 - if I take off a Context from a task in MLO, it will be deleted on the
corresponding "calendar layer" on Google Calendar (if sync enabled for this
layer).
6 - If I delete a event from a "calendar layer", the corresponding task
will loose the Context of that calendar layer.
7 - TOP OF THE TOPS: ability to drag and drop and edit a event on the ZONE
1 (Google Calendar). Human-made daily re-planning!
8 - Events from recurring tasks or tasks from recurring events: a very
complicated matter. Too long to discuss, not for now.

MY FEEDBACK ON CURRENT MLO CALENDAR VIEW (only on MLO Android, named TODAY,
not on MLO Windiws).
1 - the visual plan (the zone just below the plot) shows only a single day
in a single row, so no room for text inside the boxes representing the
events, expecially for short events.
2 - if you touch a box you do not get the corresponding event selected.
Only the opposite works: event -> box, and only one at a time.
3 - You can not create any event from a task, so not possible to made-up a
reliable plan map of the day or the week.
4 - The plot only gives you an idea of how many tasks are placed on that
day. This space could be used to create a daily or weekly calendar table
view of the events similar to Google Calendar.

Sorry for the long analysis. Hope it is clear.

[MLO] Re: Flags in Android MLO

2016-12-17 Thread Roberto Penzo
Suggestion: please... availability of at least another synced-order custom
view...

I would post my usage of the flags and a proposal for a improvement of the
synced views.
My week is now represented by seven flags (Mon, Tue,...) plus two other
more for "Urgent to plan" and "Future"
My daily planning consists on moving the tasks in the right day (flag).
Very sane, my mind is mirrored on MLO.

A limit of this approach is that the order of the tasks set on MLO-desktop
looks different from the MLO Android, as MLO-Android performs only
synced-order view ("Star-view"), that is not customizable.
I think that at least another synced-orded view (custom view) is generally
needed to well manage situations like mine and I think those of several
other people (based on the forum issues).

Furthermore, the day Google calendar will be synced with MLO I think we
will get the top.

Thank for the consideration for the suggestions.

MLO, after 4 years of use, is still the only place where I can think to the
organization of my daily life, my wishes, my info, past events and so on.
Great work, Andrey. Please extend my congratulations to all the team!

I was almost sure that you were working on it, the flag function was one

the current state.
Thanks again, for me and for the people that in the past asked for it!

[MLO] Flags in Android MLO

2016-12-12 Thread Roberto Penzo
Hi all folks.
I know that on MLO Android the flags are not managed yet.

*I would ask the developer team to please consider adding the management of
the flags.*

At present about all the flag functionalities are already active (advanced
filtering, predefined views). Furthermore, if you set-up a filtering rule
based in the flags, whan selecting the flag value you can see a flag list
with the proper icon of the flag, also if the flag icon is a customized one
by MLO desktop. Wonderful!

What is still missing seems to me only this (IMPORTANT!):

- editing the flags for a task.

Why? It seems a really incomplete management... what a sad function...

Thank you. Cheers!

I absolutely agree with you!!
A read-only calendar view like the current one is very out-of-date feature.

this.
How could we get this coming on MLO Windows and Android? Unfortunately the

[MLO] Re: Android PUSH sync in public beta

2016-11-12 Thread Roberto Penzo
Yes I did! Yesterday I basically tested the push sync and it works.
Surprisingly, today I received a Pause message (I do not remember the exact
words but) with this meaning: "to preserve your battery the auto sync has
been paused due to a lot of tasks modified". I had not the feeling of
having modified too many tasks...
I restarted the auto cloud sync and until now all seems ok.

[MLO] Re: Handling Recurring Checklists

2016-10-30 Thread Roberto Penzo
My handling of recurring checklists is wonderful (thanks to MLO!), simple,
and I think suited for you.

I made a parent recurring task (say every Saturday) and on the "Advanced
Options" of the Task Recurrence dialogue box I checked the following
bullets:

   - Reset all subtasks to uncompleted
   - Automatically recur when all subtasks are complete

Then I put the all the tasks of the checklist as subtasks of the parent
recurring task (each task NOT recurring).

As soon as you check all the tasks of the sublist as complete, you'll find
that they all suddenly get uncompleted again with a new due date on the
next Saturday.

That's all.

If you want you can play with the options.

Example:

-Automatically recur when ANY of subtasks are complete (only one)

or:

-give the parent task a start and due date.

or

-do not flag the "Do not create a completed copy of this task on recurring
(for any or all the tasks, just to keep a history of the done tasks).

Try some options. Very flexible and interesting.

today 2016-Nov-20 seems not able to give reminders.
Do any of you have the same problem?

PREVIOUS message:

Just simply to know if someone of you is experimenting the same problem as
me: no more reminders active, starting from yesterday, 2016-Nov-19, after
having updated my MLO Android to the new release 2.3.19.
Before that update I normally used and got reminders.
Now no reminder works. I also created a new one just to better test the
problem: not at all.

Bye.

[MLO] Re: MLO Windows and Cloud Sync

2016-10-14 Thread Roberto Penzo
Cloud sync is NOT an application. In other words Cloud Sync is NOT a sort
of MLO on the cloud.

Cloud Sync is only a way to keep synchronized the list of tasks on a group
of some MLO applications of the same username/password together: every MLO
in sync with every other MLOs (an MLO could indifferently be one item of
this list: MLO Windows / MLO Android / MLO IOS).

If you at first use only one device, you do not need Cloud Sync.
Cloud Sync becomes useful if you use MLO in more than one single device.

If you have only two devices you can also use WiFi sync instead of Cloud
Sync.

Bye.

[MLO] Colour of the selection bar

2016-10-14 Thread Roberto Penzo
Hi all folks! Thank you all for this very special group with many people
reading and writing about MLO!

I notice what I think it is a minor bug for MLO Windows 4.4.1 (also present
in older releases):

Menu:
Options / Themes and Formatting / Themes / Tree format / Selection /
Focused selection - Focused sel. border - Unfocus selection - Unfocus. sel
.border:

what I see is that *the "borders" settings have no effect*.

Or.. I do not exactly know what I have to notice: I thought that
the colour of the "border" should give the selected colour to the border of
the bar that covers the row of the selected task.
What do you think?

Ok, Arthur. I think that the best is to report the "bugs" to both the

Let me take some hours to have some time to prepare some clear descriptions.

Note: only real bugs, not unwanted or ugly behaviors, not lacks in

[MLO] Re: My pet peeves with MLO (Android)

2016-09-27 Thread Roberto Penzo
Hi Jorgen.
Read all your post. Quite good. Thank you.

I would only point out one of your important hints.

I wish MLO becomes a perfect planning tool.
This can only achieved by placing task timeslots on a visual calendar like
Google, where today most people already places their appointments.
There you can find free times, realize if the planning is really
consistent, and eventually drag & drop something on different times/dates.
This is the top for me.

So I wish to have a full, direct, two ways sync integration with Google
Calendar.
This would also give a easy way to share tasks with other people, even with
those using MLO: Google calendar would act, for the calendarized tasks, as
a bridge. Wonderful!

[MLO] Re: GMail and Google Calendar integration

2016-09-19 Thread Roberto Penzo
I absolutely agree with you, StephanD.

The integration is a must, the ways could be different.
MLO is my unique planning tool and it is NOT possible to plan activities
without fully taking into account my appointments on the Google calendar
and those shared with my wife or with my friends/collegues. At now I
manually duplicate the appointments on MLO. Sigh...

SIMPLE PROPOSAL (less quality, less complexity for developers):
-import as read-only the calendar items and show them as special tasks (in
special folders or something similar...), with the same properties of the
Google calendar (date, time, recurrence pattern, name of the calendar...).
The MLO filters could give you a full control on them.
This is actually a quite complex work for developers: let us think at the
reccurrency patterns set on Google: you would expect that they are fully
recognized. And MLO should become able to share data with the Google site,
and stay aligned to it when they change some functions on it.

COMPLEX PROPOSAL: not only read-only but also modify.

REMARK: the online connection is a must for both the proposals. And what
about the offline working? Without the online connection I could accept to
see no appointments of the calendar and no editing if any already picked
and shown.

Bye.

[MLO] Reminder date not automatically updated

2016-03-12 Thread Roberto Penzo
Hi all.
It seems to me that MLO2 Android does not update the reminder date of a
subtask, that has no recurrence, but it is child of a parent task with a
recurrence set to (Task Recurrence Advanced Options) Automatically recur when
all subtasks are complete AND Reset all subtasks to uncompleted.

Someone of you experimented the same as me?

[MLO] Move task on MLO2: find behavior

2016-03-08 Thread Roberto Penzo
When I am on the Move function on MLO2, having the entire list of tasks on the
display, I often use the search function.
I very often only remember the name of the parent of the tasks near the place I
want to move, so after having found and selected the parent, before movong the
task I try to better find the right place where to move it.
So I delete the searching string.
And at this point MLI looses the focus on the selected parent... in fact I
cannot get any green arrow on the bottom of the screen to jump to the
previously selected parent. So it is very hard to move my task in quickly and
exactly where I want.
The only way to find the position is scroll and scroll and scroll... The search
function sometimes does not give any help.

A green arrow on the bottom of the screen to jump to the previously selected
item could be very useful.

I do not know if it is clear.

2016-03-05 Thread Roberto Penzo
Oh yes I finally found again the button... really easy if you know how to, but
I could not find it, perhaps there are too many ways to edit a task, slightly
different one each other, and I have not learned well yet which one has what I
am searching for.

Some years ago I spent a week in Oregon with some USA colleges of mine. I work

I wish only remember that I am experimenting a minor problem still alive: if I
create a task with a name length longer that 255 characters, the exceeding
characters are deleted at the first sync action.
What is strange is that this behavior had a exception: at my first
synchronization on the first days of last December, date when I bought the
Cloud service and Android V pro on 30 trial days, I successfully synced the old
Android data (free MLO Android v1) that contained some tasks with names longer
that 255 characters, and I found them on MLO Pro desktop with original names,
not trimmed.
If necessary I can send more details.

[MLO] Re: Scheduling to-dos into the day

2016-01-13 Thread Roberto Penzo
Hi all. I tried Isotimer for a while.
Pay attention: it is free but some functions survive only in the Pro version,
andt what is most unknown is that in turn the Pro functions disappear at random
dates far after you had started to use the free version, and you cannot know
which are these funcions and when they will disappear.

Isotime has NOT the power of MLO. It has several bugs too...
But it is a very interesting app. It is integrated with the calendar view in
the way the most of us are dreaming also for MLO.

I think once more that MLO team should consider to add a true Calendar View
similar to Isotimer or handle.com.

Bye.

[MLO] Scheduling to-dos into the day

2016-01-10 Thread Roberto Penzo
Thanks a lot Damoski.

It is the way I too wish MLO behaves, and before the current calendar view born
I thought that it would be as handle.com made. Unfortunately not yet.
The life is becoming more and more complex and the scheduling must be possible
and simple.

MLO has a lot of useful features, first of all a lot of power on filtering and
speed, and I think we all hope that the MLO team will seriously consider to
develop a Google calendar view including this excellent way of scheduling and
activation of the reminders! I perfectly know that it will be a lot of work.

I am really convinced that on these days what strongly people needs is:

-A CALENDAR VIEW WITH APPOINTMENTS
-A SEPARATE LIST OF TASKS
-CHANCE TO 'DOWNLOAD' SOME TASKS INTO CALENDAR SLOTS
-CHANCE TO RESCHEDULE TASKS OR APPOINTMENTS BY STRETCH

This is very intuitive, very quick.

In the meanwhile I was using contexts like "Today", "Tomorrow" and so on on
desktop, but with several limitations (first of all, no integration with the
Google calendar and its appointments). I used to manual order my tasks on each
day. But now on mobile the sync of the manual sorting is not yet supported for
the custom views, so it became more complex.

Thanks.

[MLO] Nice proposal for long names of a task

2016-01-07 Thread Roberto Penzo
Hi all, I wish you a happy year full of good things for you.
This morning I noticed that the name of a task of mine was longer then the two
rows reserved to it, but, as the last character at the end of the two rows was
a dot (.), it seemed as the name was only as long as two rows (but I instead
knew that another piece of the name was hidden).

So I had an idea/proposal: it would be nice to see at the end of the visible
piece of the name this symbol: "..." just to reflect that the name continues,
and the rest of the name is actually hidden beyond the allowable space reserved
to it.

Nice?
This could be a general improvement for all the fields actually trimmed for a
shorter space than the actual length (also for desktop MLO).

Hope this idea likes to the most of you...best regards.

Roberto.

[MLO] Lock profile no longer works after trial expired on already Registered Pro

2016-01-01 Thread Roberto Penzo
Hi all, I wish a happy new year to everyone of you!

Today I am on the first day out of the free trial period, but three days ago I
registered the MLO 2 as Pro. All the warnings messages no more appeared, and
all was ok before today. Until yesterday I worked with the Lock Profile
activated (a Simple Passkey - a number of 4 digits to give to access the app).

Today a warning appeared after I gave - as usual - my Passkey to access the MLO
2: something like 'Trial period expired; the Lock Profile will be turned off'.
Ok, I then tried to set again the Passkey and MLO 2 accepted this. I then
thought to have survived to a little problem, but at the next access MLO 2 gave
me once more the same warning, and again disabled the Lock Profile feature.

I think it is a little bug. Is it someone of you that experienced the same as
me?

[MLO] Copy tool does not work while editing the caption of a task on the task list.

2015-12-31 Thread Roberto Penzo
Just to better explain the issue:

the Copy and Copy All tools are available during two different editing modes of
a task: on the task list and on the properties editing screen of the task.

The mode on which the tools do not work is the editing you can get by a quick
double tap on the text name of the task while listed on a task list.

Thank you.

[MLO] Cloud Sync trims the task captions longer than a certain amount of characters

2015-12-29 Thread Roberto Penzo
I just noticed that some tasks with long caption text (I did not measure which
length but I suppose more than 256 characters...) entered on MLO 2 Android are
accepted (after the press of the Done button and coming back to edit mode
preserve all the characters already entered). But when you enter your device in
sleep mode MLO silently syncs the database with the Cloud copy. Next time the
long caption will appear trimmed.
Did someone of you experienced it?

Re: [MLO] Android Version 2 Flip to edit

2015-12-12 Thread Roberto Penzo
On my Samsung Note 2 it takes approximately the same time of the swipe of my
finger, about 0.5 sec or less.
But I agree that someone could not appreciate the effect.

I would point out instead that to edit a field starting from the main screen
you have to:
-swipe the finger (and wait for the flip)
-press the EDIT button
-click on the field to edit.
My head (and I think also yours) must make three clicks in order to get the
field on editingI think that perhaps a single page already on editing after
the swipe, containing all the infos, instead of two, should have simplified.
But I can survive.

Summarizing the 2.0.10, based on my experience, still lacks the following
details:

- LED on reminders still does not light
- multiple selection not available
- the Flags are not supported (yet, but I hope in the future...)
- the synchronization of the manual sorting is only supported on the predefined
view STARRED. No other predefined or custonìmized view.
- the advanced recurring functions: "Automatic resetting of subtasks when this
task recurs" and "Automatic recurring behavior for this task" is not supported
(yet...)

Considered the complexity of the MLO Destop, I think that the MLO team made an
excellent Android product, thanks all team.
I am very confident that they are now facing prioritary bugs, and that there
will be the right time to consider also some of the items listed above.

[MLO] Inconsistency between MLO's Desktop and Android version in term of recurring tasks

2015-12-12 Thread Roberto Penzo
Hi Arthur.
I am afraid but I was not able to replicate the problem.

I tested your pattern and it works well.

I also copied my pattern into another position of the tree (I did not want to
modify the original tasks), then I completed all the subtasks and the main task
made a further step on its recurring date and correctly reset all the subtasks
with the proper dates.

I do not understand.

As my original pattern occurs once a month, I played only yesterday for the
first time with complete subtasks and it seemed it did not work. We will see
for the next month.
Next time I tried to catch all the suspected circumstances that may result on
the bad behavior, if any.

Sorry.
Thank you for the support.

Re: [MLO] How to multiselect in Android V2?

2015-12-06 Thread Roberto Penzo
I am optimist! We have a super team that is working very well to bring the app
to the top level. Some features are not already working but I think that they
are strongly committed to give us a to-of-the-level app. Thank you all!

We will don't stop pointing out the problems and we will wait.

Re: [MLO] Manual sort order sync

2015-12-01 Thread Roberto Penzo
Thanks Arthur.
I read the first half of your answer and it seems very interesting, but I have
to... find the time to read and concentrate to it to figure how this could
sound on my life (organized...).
I will answer you whenever my head will run on it.

It seems that I have a little problem that you do not have: I use a single
database for both work and home activities, so I should star in turn two groups
of tasks one a day.

In the meanwhile thank you very much.

[MLO] Indenting a task in Android v2

try to move the child candidate task "OVER" the parent candidate task. "OVER"
means over until you see that the parent candidate will become green. Then
release the task.

[MLO] MLO for Android V2: trial period: 30 or 45 days? Plus Quick review

2015-11-28 Thread Roberto Penzo
Hi all. Today in the morning I finally made a quick test of MLO for Android
V2.

Firs of all, MANY THANKS to the developing team!

First a question: navigating on the screens I found two different durations
for Trial period:
30 days (Settigs / Help / MyLyfeOrganized 2 Tour, last slide)
and
45 days (Settings / Pro Trial Mode). This is also the period reported on
the website.
Which of the two is the correct one?

Only slightly disappointed - but hope for the future - that the manual sord
order sync is not supperted (yet?).

For the rest, it seems very good.
The find function is quite fast (SAMSUNG Note II).
The WiFi sync works.
I successfully imported a Desktop PC view: export the view from the Desktop
as a file on the HDD. Then copy this file on the Android phone. It works.
Good the Snooze function: you can set a delay (mm hh dd) or a date/time.
Repeat snooze for a programmable number of times...
Good the option of small fonts for the text of the Tasks. I would have
preferred also a lowering of the checkbox size to have more tasks in the
same window. In the future, minor improvements...

Stop for now. Thank you in the meanwhile. Hope that some others post
reviews soon.

Bye.

Re: [MLO] Manual sort order sync

2015-11-28 Thread Roberto Penzo
Yes, understood, unfortunately the STARRED view is THE ONLY that synchronizes
the manual order, and it is not editable, no Advanced filters..., no Sort
options...
I will see.

Re: [MLO] Manual sort order sync

2015-11-28 Thread Roberto Penzo
What you see on automatic/manual sort is logical and at first times it was also
my thought. So I started using only automatic order to get the sequence of the
tasks for my personal / working activities.

But week by week I understood that the activities need to be considered also
with *human* principles. So I finally came to consider the priorities and
automatic planning as a good suggestion to schedule my day-by-day list.

This list is a subset of the automatic sortinging, composed taking tasks from
2-3 lists (long range, middle range and daily maintenance tasks), manually
ordered to meet some simple principles; example: first the activities outside
my home, then the activities at home. Or other equally simple.

So the manual sort is very nice, very useful. It is for me a sort of "what I
really have decided to do today". The effort to decide what tasks and in which
order is very useful for my mind and for my committment.

[MLO] Re: Feauture request: Lock the order of TABS

2014-10-12 Thread Roberto Penzo
+1.
Suggestion for further improvement: PARENT TABS: nice if it would be
possible to collapse a certain number of TABS into a High-level-tab,
(PARENT tab).
Example: I have several tabs just for home time, and same others for office
time. When I deal with home tabs, it would be nice to open the HOME
parent-tab to unhide the home tabs, and close the OFFICE parent tab to hide
all the office tabs.

Bye.

 Hi

I would like to be able to Lock the order of tabs.

 *Motivation:*
Recently i have many pinned tabs.
Pinned tabs are small and sometimes, when i select a tab with the mouse
click, i change its position by mistake.
It happens one, 2 and sometimes 3 times per day.
(i use alphanumeric icons for tabs, that's why i notice quickly when tab
 has been moved :)) )

 Thank you
