[newbie] Samba Issue?
Here is a problem I'm having and I'm not sure if it's a Samba issue or a Linux issue: I have a bunch of users that connect to a shared folder and upload shared files. The problem here is the read / write permissions: Whenever anything gets put up on the server, the other users do not have access to this file. Subsequently, when the author tries to bring it over via Network Neighborhood in Windows, the file is marked as read only. Is this a samba issue or a Linux issue? What would be a correct solution? hello all, I am just loaded w/ questions / problems this week. Thank you all for being patient. I downloaded GCC 3.0.3 for Linux and tried to install it according to the directions, but the install is saying that it can't find a valid CC compiler for this. Now I checked my /bin directory for cc and I found the following: -rwxr-xr-x1 root root 138461 Jan 17 23:18 cc* However, when I do a ./cc in the /bin directory I get an error saying "bash: ./cc: No such file or directory" As always, any help anyone can provide would be much appreciated. [newbie] GCC / CC compiler problems
Hello, I wrote a while ago about problems I was having w/ the GCC / CC compilers and I still can't get it to work. I checked my /usr/bin directories as people have suggested and I see the files are still there. When I do an ls in the /usr/bin directory, I get the following: gcc* and when I do an ls cc in the same directory, I get the following: cc@ Now I do a "set cc = /usr/bin/cc" and that doesn't work. I do a "set cc = /usr/bin/cc@" and that doesn't work either, nor does it work w/ any permutation of "set gcc = /usr/bin/gcc" Any ideas of anything that might be wrong? I have no idea what's happening. I'm guessing it has something to do w/ the (*) and the (@) that follows the file name. Thanks, Paul __ Do You Yahoo!? Send FREE video emails in Yahoo!
