Subject: Winamp Not Automatically Advancing to the Next Track

Hi, I posted this to the Winamp for the Blind list yesterday but got no
responses. Not sure if that list is still operating. Anyway, it was doing
it last week, but now when I select all the tracks in a CD I've ripped,
Winamp does not automatically advance to the next track when I start
playing the selected tracks. I know they're all selected, because when I
hit b, Winamp will advance to the next track and start playing it. But
when I just let it play, it stops at the end of the track it's currently
playing. I've been through the Preferences, but I don't see anything that
I recognize as something that will fix this. Any advice? As I said, it was
doing it last week. I have no idea what has changed since then.

Thanks much.

Evan

Hello list: Am going to try and rip this CD I had ripped with WMP, only
this time I'm giving CDEX a try! But I need to know how to make CDEX put
the track information, such as title and artist and so forth in the track
listing! Somewhere I may already have this information, but would take me
more time than I feel like taking to hunt it down! So if someone could
post this information, it would be much appreciated!

hi I am not that technical when it comes to setting up a program for
ripping CD so what I would like is.

I good program for ripping tracks off of a CD if I should ever have to.
But I would like to get the best sound out of what I would rip as I can.
Would Cd Ex be good for that?
And if so what is and where can you go to get the latest verison?
Also what is the best format to extract tracks from a audio disk in to?
What about ripping in to OGG.
What would be the best setting to use for that file if you were wanting to
rip tracks to that file formatt?

Hello list: I know that AI can use Windows to burn something that is
already on a hard drive to a CD; what I wonder is..let's say I want to
copy one CD to another; can this be accomplished with Windows..or with
Windows Media Player? And if so..how is this done? I have something on
my computer called "Sonic..but found it pretty much inaccessible with
Jaws..unless I just never found anyone who could show me how to do it! So
I have deleted the shortcut that was on my desk top; all I have now of
Sonic is the program itself..but it really doesn't lead me to where I need
to go to copy a CD! Since I have no other CD burning program on here, I
got to thinking "Hey..maybe it's possible to just use the Windows Media
Player:" to do this..but I am sure that there are folks here on this list
who can tell me if this is doable with that program or not! Thanks!

Hi there,
If anyone can give me instructions for ripping a CD using CDex and JAWS, I
would really appreciate it. It seems straightforward enough, but my
computer

isn't taking the final step of actually doing anything.

I put the CD into the CD-ROM, then went to the convert menu, and, in the
name of experimentation, have tried several of the choices there. Nothing
seems to work. Any idea what step I am not taking, or mis-taking?

Thanks much,

quote.now my next move was togo into windows explorer , then to the
folder holding the Mp3 tracks, then copy and paste them into this window
but it wont work this way,so how do I load this window with thenew
tracks?. I presumed I could copy and paste the tracks into this window the
same way as I did when I started the first session in the ,quote new
window where I could rename the label and check the file size etc.
What am I doing wrong ! smile. looks like senility is not far away!.

cd write protection querie

2006-01-18 Thread Alan Pollard
Hello list Members, I have found that while trying to rip some tracks
useing :cd.x,on 2 or 3 particularcd's ,the drive spins very
erraticly,on 1 disk for instance I could rip tracks 1 through to 5 quite
ok before the drive started spinning erraticly ,and would not proceed past
around the 55 % mark,on another the misbehaviourstarted from track 1,I am
sure this is not a cd.x problem as I am not having any trouble ripping
other disks my question is ,is this behaviour simtimatic of disks that have
some sort of write protection?if so I believe their is some Software
that can rectify the problem and is Jaws friendly!.Any help would be
very much appreciated!.Alan

Nero help please!

2005-04-01 Thread Alan Pollard
Hello List members,I have just recentley started useing NeroVersion 5.5,Via
a friends 10 step Tutorial, for burning and copying audio cd's,
without any real trouble.however whilst attempting to copy a
Commercialmusic Cd,everything was ok up to and including the copying of
the source disk which Jaws relayed to me at this point I inserted the Blank
cd disk into the Drive, then came the problem, Nero would not burn and
copy the new blank disk.I would be very grateful for any help .Also is it
simpler to use the Wizord for this task?, if so, instruction for it's use
would also be apreciated.Thanking you in anticipation Alan Pollard,
