Re: Total recorder driver clarefication needed
Hi, the best thing to do is to instal it with defaults set. If you choose one of the older drivers wich allow for choosing the application to be captured, then you stil could have system problems. Those are mostly for xp and although it could be used, it might not be reliable in all cases. Therefore, use the defaults in the instal and it will put the latest good stable driver on your system. Then to silence jaws dearing recording you should not do things on the computer or rood it to another soundcard or headset. Or press insert plus space and then the letter s to mute until recording is done and turn on again the same way. Perhaps you could tell us what you're wanting to do with Total Recorder. When you talk about silencing Eloquence do you mean when Total Recorder is recording and if so what exactly are you trying to record? On 23/05/2016 9:01 AM, Donald L. Re: total recorder
Hi, you must make sure under the recording settings dialog that software moad is selected and for best results use the kernel filter driver. If you don't see the kernel filter driver in the main settings under the driver section, use the install file to reinstall with the kernel filter driver selected. Then just test your volumes, I normally have the recording driver volume set to round about 77%. Re: Total Recorder and Window-eyes 9 Beta 1
This may not apply in the least, I am still using XP, but I noticed absolutely no difference in the response in the menus after upgrading to the latest and greatest version. I also admit to being way behind on my version of WE (7.2), but remember the days not too long ago when the menus were totally responsive. Most likely there is nothing for it but to upgrade and come into the 21st century, and maybe that will soon be in the offing, but right now, these menus drive me nuts, and I rather dread having to use them, which fortunately isn't such a usual occurrence since most of my recording of late is in background. It seems that the feature for xp that blocks jaws from being recorded does not appear in win7. So, you must make sure that jaws is not pointing to the same soundcard that you are recording from. Re: total recorder pro and standard
You don't need Jaws scripts for Total Recorder. However, it is helpful to create a few Jaws frames to provide some status information. there is a page with a table that explains all the differences at a glance. But, the table data isn't visible with Jaws. Perhaps there is a way to make it show up? http://www.totalrecorder.com/features.htm I did it by changing graphics to show all and graphics recognize by custom search. Then Jaws can read some strange icons img/unch is not included and img/ch is included. Sory I don't know how to copy the web table so it can be read in e-mail. Which version of Windows. You need a second audio device in Windows Vista 7 but should be able to not have the Jaws voice recorded in XP with only one sound device. Re: total recorder
Hello Ray just wondering. Since you have gotten a lap top with windows 7. Or know someone who has let you see there laptop with windows 7 on it. I am going to asking you this providing they you are using a laptop at times. So if you have purchased one what brand did you decide to go with or doesn't really matter to you witch brand it is? Also did you try some audio on the laptop before you purchased it? Because I am looking in to getting a laptop so I can have one encase the desktop goes down. But what I am finding is that when you are looking at laptops I load up narrator and see how the volume of the voice speaking is and how loud you can get it. If you can hear the speech well or fairly well. Then to me it would have some decent audio. So how did you make you laptop select and what would you like to see improved on your laptop? If it could be improved? On 8/16/2012 1:21 PM, Ray T. Mahorney wrote: to get it to capture streams on a 32 bit win 7 laptop what if any settings do I need to alter? Ray T. Okay then I will defer to someone else on this list who I think may have the Total Recorder list (probably should have just held off) but thought maybe I could help! But you'll be pleased to know that it's not a real busy list! However, if you get on the list and have a question about Total Recorder, there's a good chance that your question or problem will be taken care of! Good luck! Re: total recorder list?
Yes, there definitely is a list for Total Recorder users who are blind or visually impaired. It is on Google Groups and the list is closed. If you can find the list owner and request to be subscribed, he will do that for you. But for the life of me, I can't remember his name. Hope this helps clear up the air a bit about a list for Total Recorder Users. -- Email services provided by the System Access Mobile Network. Re: Another question regarding Re: Total Recorder Professional or Video Edition?
Yes. Total Recorder installs the appropriate drivers for your operating system automatically if you elect to add the drivers during installation. The filter driver that is installed by default is a different kettle of fish as that is used exclusively by Total Recorder and is not installed as a sound card to the system. What virtual driver are you using in software mode? With the user mode virtual driver, an application that transmits audio should be running and playing first before the driver can capture the sound. If you are using the kernel mode virtual driver then it should just work. Christopher H On 31/01/2012 16:22, Kristeen Hughes wrote: I hope someone can help me. I have Total Recorder V7 Pro. I have a new set of Bose USB speakers and since hooking them up, I can no longer record from the Internet with TR. It says there is no sound detected. Re: total recorder
My wife had her sound output changed by connecting speakers to the wrong connection on a couple of occasions on her laptop, and as I recall, she did a system restore to a few days back, and her sound settings returned back to her desired state using her internal sound card. You might try that, providing that this problem hasn't gone on unsolved for a while. If you correct the problem in that way, the fix for TR should be easy. If I am wrong in my assessment, someone please let both me and Kristeen know ASAP. I, myself, have never personally encountered this particular problem with my desktop machine. 1. Open wineyes.ini. This can be found in %appdata%\gw micro\window-eyes\users\default. %appdata% is something you can type into the run dialogue box. It should open either the roaming folder if you are using Vista or 7 or application data in xp. 2. Look for the line EnableUIA=1. 3. Change it so it looks like this: EnableUIA=0. 4. Save the file. Re: total recorder
I have definitely had this problem. Although I am a user of Window-Eyes 7.5.1, I continue to have this problem even when using either NVDA or JFW. I thought initially it was because I was using Total Recorder professional 8.1. However, when I upgraded to 8.3, the problem has persisted. So since it apparently is not screen reader specific, I am at a loss to know the cause of the problem. Incidentally, this happens not only on my Windows 7 64-bit system but also on XP home systems as well. Don Roberts On 9/3/2011 10:20 PM, ken reed wrote: Hi, has any one had this problem . Did you purchase a key for your copy of total recorder? It's only about $35! Darn cheap. When you consider how accessible the program is and all of the things it can do. You will have to purchase it yourself my friend. For now you can use the fully functional evaluation. The only limitation is at the minimum a short portion of noise is inserted into each recording about every sixty seconds.
