Godfrey's right - I Just tried it - I selected two photos - edited the capture time of the top one by clicking on the seconds and adding two, clicked the change all button and the second photo had two seconds added. Very dynamic! Thanks for the feedback, Frank. I liked the look of exertion on his face. He's riding for Benchmark Homes, one of the big teams around here. They sponsor a local tour as well. The following photo is the next frame from the camera, showing the very same bunch a few seconds later. I wasn't paying a lot of attention to the actual race but they probably reeled him in pretty quickly. One of my favourites is two frames before the one you picked (sorry they're not numbered, that's on my to-do list). They've just finished a sprint and the guys at the front look knackered (notice there's only one from each team). The last sprinter is looking back at the peloton for some reason. He's probably wanting to get back into the cosy bunch riding. Or maybe he's yelling profanities at his team-mates for not leading him out properly. The second one made it into the gallery, I just linked to it as a comparison. I was able to make it bigger on that page because the gallery template on my main site is too narrow, something I might address soon with a customised layout. It will increase the download size though. I might play with the cropping of the second one because the composition still bugs me a little. It might look better on the wall if I print it reasonably large, but I'm tempted to crop a little off the left. I had two reasons for presenting it as it is; firstly I wanted to show that noone was in front of these guys, and secondly I didn't want to trim out the background. I am definitely wanting to play with BW conversions of several photos. I didn't have the time to spend on getting a good conversion so I decided to leave that until later. The blurry front rider is not annoying me so much now, especially after I realised that I liked a couple of similar ones in the criterium photos. The sky would probably be a lot less distracting in BW (I see a couple of the Rouleur photos have blown-out skies). So may be I'm still being too much of a fussy landscaper. I don't think so, I wasn't able to find it in the spitzer resnick book, but is there a way to select a group of pictures and say correct the capture time of all of these by 5 minutes? In Lightroom, the Metadata-Edit Capture Time... command should do exactly what you want. Thanks a bunch. If my cameras were exactly five hours out of sync, rather than five minutes, it would do exactly what I want. Unfortunately it seems that I have the choice of changing all of the files to the same time, or by an integer number of hours, not tweaking the files in one camera by five minutes so that a capture time sort works right. There's also an option in the Catalog Preferences, Metadata tab, to write date or time changes into proprietary raw files if you want to punch it directly into the original RAW files too. -- Godfrey godfreydigiorgi.posterous.com -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List PDML@pdml.net http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions. -- Larry Colen l...@red4est.com sent from i4est -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List PDML@pdml.net http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions. -- Godfrey godfreydigiorgi.posterous.com -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List PDML@pdml.net http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions. -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List PDML@pdml.net http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions. -- Larry Colen l...@red4est.com sent from i4est -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List PDML@pdml.net http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.

All it does is to possibly deter a sale if the lens doesn't test up to par. That's extra cost for the store, with no increase in sales. GESO SF Balfest
I was asked to be the photographer for a dance workshop last weekend. In exchange for taking photos I got free admission, nominally about a $160 value. Mind you, I ended up missing out on most of the social dancing because I was so busy dealing with stuff to photograph the performances and contests. But I think it'll be good exposure and maybe help me get the official photographer slot at other events. It was interesting being able to use strobes, and to set them up the best I could rather than just doing the available light or the AF540 on the camera thing. Despite the difficulties I was having with my lighting, I think I got some decent shots last weekend. As I said, one of my white lightnings fried as I was setting things up Friday night. I had been planning on bouncing the studio strobes off the ceiling, but figured that up in the mezzanine would be a lot safer, unfortunately for various reasons bounce didn't work well up there. So I had the working studio strobe on one side of the room and three camera strobes (AF54 and two promasters) optically slaved on the other side. Fortunately, with them way up there, other camera flashes didn't trigger them. I did a quick pass through the 2600 frames and put together a teaser set of the ones that leapt out as keepers. Now I've got to go and sort them to contests and awards, classes, social dancing, performances etc... Teaser set on flickr: http://www.flickr.com/photos/ellarsee/sets/72157622962803714/ they may be easier to view at http://www.flickriver.com/photos/ellarsee/sets/72157622962803714/ -- Larry Colen l...@red4est.com sent from i4est -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List PDML@pdml.net http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
