Actually it's more like Ricoh shot Pentax in the foot. What they were probably thinking was; "Damn all our competitors have released upgrades, and there are rumors of our impending demise, we have to get some kind of update out to head them off, even if it's underwhelming". Personally I'd have liked to see a K3 III, with improved auto focus, even though that's not my biggest concern, and a few more lenses for the K-1, put the FF body upgrade out another year and get it right. Now, reading the review, it seems that the 'better' high ISO is achieved mainly by adding noise reduction in the new accelarator chip, at the expense of detail. Of the major enhancements to the K1 II only the improved AF seems to be holding up. I wish Ricoh would offer substantive upgrades. The K1 is great but a few simple things would improve the experience - like a faster bus, bigger buffer, improved AF, AF sensors spread more widely throughout the frame. Not hyped up sexy features but basic, solid enhancements. Ridiculously high ISO and the promise of hand held pixel shift strikes me as just gimmickry. PESO White Crowned Sparrow
At first glance, I thought this was another White Throated Sparrow, but according to the Audubon Field Guide, it’s a White Crowned Sparrow. Common in the western U.S., it’s rarely seen in Michigan. SmugMug will have to figure that out together with Yahoo. Yahoo purposely reconfigured the Flickr authentication process to be integrated with Yahoo's many years ago and I'm pretty sure that by now all the original Flickr login credentials are history. Part of the ownership cut-over will have to involve separating Flickr completely from any Yahoo infrastructure in a clean way. It's been done before -- correctly -- so I'm confident it will happen in this case too and I'm not too concerned myself. I just hope they manage a cleaner cutover than the TSB/Lloyd's banking disaster. -- -bmw -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List PDML@pdml.net http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.

Re: PESO: yellow-wattled lapwing
It's "click-bait" advertising. I got the same ad show up for "Raleigh, NC" when I temporarily allowed "gravatar.com" and "pubmine.com" in NoScript to see if show EXIF data on the lens Subash is using. I didn't follow the link, but based on the accompanying image, it's probably an advertisement for a product that prevents license plate scanners from capturing your plate number. https://www.aclu.org/issues/privacy-technology/location-tracking/you-are-being-tracked The problem with these devices is that most places that use the license plate scanner technology also prohibit the devices intended to defeat them. You can get a ticket just for having it on your car. On 5/7/2018 06:06, Jack Davis wrote: What is the "new rule in Yuba City, CA?"
