But there are two things we cannot ignore: 1. Sparx is now in control. Hoya has given them authority to interview all potential board members. We know what Sparx wants. 2. Hoya is primarily a business-to-business concern. Other than filters, I don't know what they produce for mass markets. Even if Hoya keeps DSLRs, will they know how to market them? I guess this is the same gent who spoke to Keppler a few years ago about the digital version of the K1000 ( June 2007 Pop Photo). I believe he has had a close relationship with Keppler over the years. That should be a good thing. On another forum, the Canadian fashion photographer that works out of Paris apparantly has written and received a reply from Hoya re our concerns over the future of Pentax. Hopefully this will all be taken to heart by Hoya with the knowledge that there is a large base of support out there for the brand. We will see soon enough I am sure!
