Hoya is primarily a business-to-business concern. Other than filters, I don't know what they produce for mass markets. Even if Hoya keeps DSLRs, will they know how to market them? The last month has been very embarrassing, right now analysts are blaming the Pentax Board. But if a whole new Board comes to the same conclusion that the original board did, those same analysts will start looking for others to blame as well... I guess this is the same gent who spoke to Keppler a few years ago about the digital version of the K1000 ( June 2007 Pop Photo). I believe he has had a close relationship with Keppler over the years. That should be a good thing. On another forum, the Canadian fashion photographer that works out of Paris apparantly has written and received a reply from Hoya re our concerns over the future of Pentax. Hopefully this will all be taken to heart by Hoya with the knowledge that there is a large base of support out there for the brand. We will see soon enough I am sure!
