I can't test Sirius but in early 2009 there is a very long thread about testing Softsqueeze and SC 7.3.x. I believe the changes in SC 7.3.x (which also affected Suqeezenetwork) for services such as Sirous and Pandora meant that Softsqueeze could no longer access these services directly. How to setup SC to enable Softsqueeze to play Sirius was described in post #4 of this thread. http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=59126 I think the proxied setting would still work for SBS but as I said at the top - I cannot test Sirius. -- bpa bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=62060 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] SrvrPowerCtrl - switch to an alternate local server?
gharris999;476272 Wrote: If wanting to push players at TinySC becomes a popular pursuit, perhaps I can add an option in the settings to specify an alternate server. But for now, you'll be able to do exactly what you want using cli commands in scripts called by SrvrPowerCtrl on user initiated or idle events. SrvrPowerCtrl now includes a feature whereby a custom script can be called on an 'external' shutdown event...i.e. if the server goes down for any reason (power button, external script, etc) other than a SrvrPowerCtrl action. So you could still count on your players getting pushed to TinySC no matter what brings the master server down. That all sounds great, thanks! Using SrvrPowerCtrl on TinySC will present a bit more of a challenge. I think I wouldn't need to do that in my scenario, though. TinySC should always be running (and why not, considering SB Touch uses less electricity than an SB Classic), happily serving clients when SrvrPowerCtrl sends them to TinySC, and willingly relinquishing them when FatSC starts up and SrvrPowerCtrl pulls them back to the main server, right? The FatSC SrvrPowerCtrl install could handle both pre-shutdown pushes and post-startup pulls, right? I think the only extra logic I'd want on TinySC is something to handle waking up the FatSC server at appropriate times. Maybe that's every time someone turns a player on, or maybe that requires a more deliberate action. It's that last aspect that I was thinking of. Presumably, you could install SrvrPowerCtrl on TinySC and disable almost all of it's features and menu items, leaving one custom menu item pointing at your 'wake-master' script. Just a (relatively) painless way to be able to execute that script from the Touch's menu. Really, what's required here is either a rewrite of KDF's execute script plugin for the Touch, or a severely cut-down version of SrvrPowerCtrl that dispenses with all the power-saving stuff, or a WOL Lua app for the Touch. Perhaps that last would be the best bet: no mucking around with ssh-ing into the Touch...just include an settings interface in the app to save descriptive labels and mac addresses. On FatSC, if the master is coming back from suspend or hibernation, SrvrPowerCtrl can automatically execute a custom script on wake-up which could yank your players back. However, it currently doesn't do this on an initial boot-up. If I add the 'alternate msb ip address' feature, then the yank-back could happen in all instances. I think I'll go ahead and the user-settable alternate server setting now. I'll have to change a fair amount of code, strings and the settings page to support this, but it's entirely doable. -- gharris999 gharris999's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=115 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=70206 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

I thought about that when I started adding the custom cmd stuff. My initial thought was that this wasn't needed. Any of the 'pre-defined' actions (shutdown, suspend, etc.) are potentially custom commands since the command to be executed is up to the user. Only the label is fixed. And, as long as the user hasn't entered both a label and a command in any given custom command pair, the corresponding custom 'action' doesn't exist. So, while I could add 'Custom Command 1', 'Custom Command 2', etc. to the drop-down list of actions, the corresponding action may not exist and an error condition will result at run-time. On the other hand, this is easy enough to try. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] A new AlienBBC 2.6b1 beta for testing.
The BBC change is significant and not a small HTML change. They have removed the non Flash access to the RealAudio URLs. [SlimDevices: Plugins] CustomBrowse: show track artist in album track list
I'm very pleased with CustomBrowse (using with IPeng). The only thing I 'miss' is showing the track artist in the list of an album's tracks. Example: Filtered Artists 1. 1st screen shows my music's artists incl Various Artists I click on a artist or on Various Artists 2. The CD's for that artist are shown: title and below that the album artist (for no compilations) I select a CD from the list 3. It then shows all the tracks on that selected CD (just the title). Because you can also select compilation albums, and some CD's have more than one track artist, I would like to see the track artist below the displayed track title. Selecting a CD 'Top 100 hits' now just displayes all track titles, without displaying the track artists... I guess this can be configured in the menu XML, but I was not able to make something that works. Any help here is much appreciated! Actually, it's none of the above. The problem is with the new code I'm using from Peter Watkins. It's treating the windows '\' path elements as escape characters. This is why this has been working for me (linux server) and not for you (windows xp). So, this is a bug. But to answer your question: yes, on windows, SCPowerTool.exe is very necessary. Other operating systems (linux, osx) include the nc 'netcat' utility which fills this purpose. SCCLITool.exe was my attempt to level the playing field for windows users. So, for instance, if you wanted to disable SrvrPowerCtrl between the hours of 10:00 and 14:00, you could write two simple batch files that use SCCLITool.exe to set and clear SrvrPowerCtrl blocks. You could then use the built-in windows command scheduler so that those batch files got automatically executed at the appropriate times. Happy to tweak code if you can point me in the right direction (but know nothing about how the applets work). Install the Custom Clock Helper in your Squeezebox Server and you will be able to select any background you want. The text colors are limited so you can select among a number of read and white/gray/black tones at the moment, but I'll be happy to add more variants if you like. There are more information about making your own clock style here: http://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.php/Custom_Clock_applet#Customization If you make a new style which other might be interested in, make sure to post it in this forum section so we can add it as one of the bundled styles. -- erland Erland Isaksson 'My homepage' (http://erland.isaksson.info) (Install my plugins through Extension Downloader) (Developer of 'TrackStat, SQLPlayList, DynamicPlayList, Custom Browse, Custom Scan, Custom Skip, Multi Library, Title Switcher and Database Query plugins' (http://wiki.erland.isaksson.info/index.php/Category:SlimServer)) erland's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3124 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=68269 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
