Thanks again for your tremendous job, and this great plugin. I use it daily. One small nitpick... when I through the plugin (Spotbox is its name? someone suggested it, sounds cool) search spotify for something that is not there, an artist, say, like balck sabaht, then the plugin behaves as if it found something, but clicking on what it lists only gives a non-functional url. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] iPeng support thread
Thanks Pippin for a great update! I love the landscape mode and the context menu search for song feature. The search feature is definitely faster now. 1. Is it possible to put the new Extra=Global Search function in the task bar (at the bottom of the screen)? 2. In the new context search for song menu if I in the search result for my music click on the song title all songs in the album where the song appears is played in track order. Is this the intended behaviour? (I know that in the normal search result if I click on the album art for a song that album is played, but in the new search function no cover art is shown and the show all songs for an artist list works differently.) - The play mixed option tells the correct number of songs but if I choose that option I seem to get just a random selection of songs (not necessarily on the albums in the search result). This at least cannot be the intended behaviour, can it? A couple of times when starting up iPeng or waking iPeng iPeng forgot the last active player (actually a group of three players all switched on) and selected another player (that was switched off). All players are connected to local SBS and the new default follow player, not server option was set. This never happened before. It also feels like it takes longer for iPeng to start up and find the player(s). The very first time I started the new version of iPeng I tried out the landscape mode and tapped once to show the controls and then switched back to portrait mode. Then the screen looked like the attached screenshot. This was reproducible during that session, but went away after a restart of iPeng. I just wanted to let you know. I will not comment on the look of the new player icons other than to say that it was easier to tell whether you controlled a group or a single player when iPeng on the now playing screen always showed multiple players as the switch on/off icon. Hi pippin, thanks for the iPeng update. I know you probably don't want to hear this but I too don't like the new power icons. They are too simplistic in my opinion and make the interface look a bit basic compared to the old ones. Here's a suggestion: how about using the old squeezebox icons (which looked much nicer to me) and getting rid of the overlaid power symbol. Just have the icon greyed if off (ie powered down) and illuminated (a blue outline) if on. Wouldn't that work? Do you see it for changing Alarms as well as for setting new ones? Everything worked fine with the previous iPeng version with the older OS 3 firmware on my iPhone 3GS. It has never worked with my iPhone 4 or my iPad. The previous issue was not being able to actually set the alarm time due to the previously identified problem. This new problem seems quite different. My phone is not jailbroken or I would use Screen Recorder to make a recording of it and demonstrate it directly. It's worth noting (though maybe not involved) that I have two alarms. Alarm 1 is set to go off M-T-W-T-F at 7:00AM for example and Alarm 2 is set to go off S-S at 9:00AM. If I add a 3rd alarm, then it is created properly with the default alarm time as long as I don't try to change the time while adding this new alarm. However, if I try to change the default alarm time while creating the alarm it will not set to the right time. Additionally the application will crash a good deal of the time while trying to change the alarm time. If I try to change the alarm time after creating the new alarm time, it also has the wrong time on it. For example I set it to 8AM and it sets to 11PM and/or the app crashes out. I would imagine someone else with iPhone 4 might need to test this? I will test with my iPad too, maybe it works with that. -- jmpage2 jmpage2's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=41 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=51929 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

I will test with my iPad too, maybe it works with that. Any iOS 4.01 device will do as long as you are not in Central European Time zone and you don't use the simulator. Argh. The issue is obviously known. The problem is that as opposed to what it's supposed to do, the DatePicker (that wheel where you enter the time) if it's created in a certain way (using interface builder) will never import the correct time zone but instead use the one of the system where you compiled it. Which is why I never got that issue. You have to override the time zone on the actual invocation. This still fails if you change the time zone while the app is running but that's probably a somewhat remote case. They tried to fix it in iOS 4.1 and made it even worse, in that beta it now NEVER accepts any time zone but always uses UTC... -- pippin --- see iPeng, the Squeezebox iPhone remote, at penguinlovesmusic.com pippin's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13777 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=51929 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

I get that message every now and then and when I look at the Settings/Plugins/Spotify/Settings page it looks alright but it does not show that I'm logged on to Spotify. I enter my Spotify password and press Apply a few times and when the settings page confirms that I'm logged on to Spotify everything works ok again. If that does not work I wake it up by entering the wrong password and hit apply and once it complains about not being able to log on I just change to the right password and hit apply and everything works ok again. Not a great solution but since I have no sound on the radio anyway :( I haven't bothered to look further for a solution at the moment. -- Padre Padre's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=39676 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=79706 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Great plugin! I have a Spotify playlist with 222 entries. When scrolling on my controller to the last in the list, track 22 is played and not 222. If I select track 221 track 21 is played etc. -- truls01 truls01's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=39661 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=79706 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Strangely, it's working OK now. I wonder if it's anything to do with the playlists not having been updated on Spotify. I'd created a few in the Spotify client application and then gone into the Squeezebox web interface to try and play them on my Classic player. The new playlists were not shown earlier when it wasn't working, but now that it is working it's listing the new playlists. However, I've just tried creating a few more playlists in Spotify and, although they're not yet listed by the plug-in, I have no problem viewing and playing any of the others. -- dasym dasym's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=39703 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=79706 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Yes it seems to take some time to make them available. Are you using the latest version of the plugin as the last two release included some playlist fixes. -- Triode Triode's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=79706 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Spotify Premium Plugin (Beta)
I've just posted another version to the repository which should be available for download now. Changes in this version are: - added support for starring tracks through context menu and through shuffle icon on Touch for radio/random mixes - controller playback - improved playback ui interaction (should now be able to press play from album/playlist level and play the whole album/playlist) - improved randomness of artist mixes - fix playlist artwork for IE users - display error message on search which returns no results - attempt to automatically start ppc binary on 10.5 macs (workaround to libspotify not working on intel 10.5 mac) - other internal changes aimed at improving cases causing playback to fail The most signifcant new feature in this release is the ability to star/unstar tracks from the context menu. I've introduced this as I find I want to mark tracks I like when listening to radio streams or similar artist streams, but don't necessarily want to go searching for them at that time. By using the spotify star mechanism, this should be synchronised with your spotify library and you can then go and search for these artists in more detail later - either through the plugin or using another spotify client. On Touch using the touch skin when it is playing a spotify radio stream you can star a track, just by touching the thumb's up icon. When playing a non radio stream you can do this via the context menu as the shuffle icon is required. All other cases you can star the track using the context menu. As I think this is now geting close to feature complete I'm calling it 1.0rc1 and will be looking to call it a release soon... I'll put it in the main 3rd party list at that point so people don't need to have my test repo listed on their plugin page. Thanks for people for testing upto this point - please keep posting bugs here as there are definately more to find (it's getting quite complex to support 3 different platforms and multiple os versions.) Specifically please post any major bugs with this version so I don't move to release without fixing them. -- Triode Triode's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=79706 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
