I have a dynamic playist based on trackstat results that plays fine with
my Radios but will not play at all with my Touch. It has worked with
numerous versions of LMS 7.9 but will not now. Let me know what info you
need to troubleshoot this. Thanks

Unfirtunately, my support of aac is pretty weak as LMS can send many
data formats and I would have to repack all of them in a file eveytime
(recreate headers on the fly) - and that's painful. NOw, you can set a
rule using ffmpeg that forces resampling only for aac and only for that
player.

I'm wondering if there is not an issue with the main TCP socket timeout.
I've added a TCP_KEEPALIVE and will run some test today, but I've
definitely been able to reproduce the issue where in fact, this is not
the Loop going idle by himself, but the connection is going dark, so no
data sent, so the Loop will go sleep.
I'm a bit confused with the AE problem. Mine is connect through the WAN
port and is properly discovered and sound plays. But you don't assign a
dynamic IP to it ? (sorry I was reading your post very fast)

Hi,

I am using your plugins for my music. I build now a new server that
runs two instance of lms. I split it in music and audiobooks. Your
plugins generates a very high load and I do not need trackstat or other
of your great plugins for my audiobooks. I only need it for my music
library.

To speed up the lms with two instance (on Ubuntu 14.04) I use mariaDB
running on my NAS. Right now, if I install your plugins inside the
music instance I run into an error because inside your mysql db create
script you use TYPE=innoDB.

So to bring your plugins online, I delete the Type statement inside your
create DB scripts. That’s dirty and if you had changed something inside
the plugin I run into trouble. Is it possible to change it inside your
source?

I'm finding tracks using the official Spotify app and this is the output
from Triode's helper app when I try to play a track.

The only unusual thing I've noticed is the *newstream connection from
10.0.0.16* - my server's IP is 10.0.0.15 and I have no idea where it's
getting the 16 from.

I don't know if this is relevant, but I have noticed the following :
- My "Airplay" device Libratone Loop wifi/BT (released end-2014) goes
to sleep when playing music via the bridge after 3 or 4 hours.
- The same device does not sleep when playing the audio part of a video
playlist. I could confirm that further by using the Loop as the audio

This is an "Airtunes" device, it runs aTV OS 2.3, released mid-2008. I
have tested this first with the device wired, receiving a PCM stream for
something like 8hrs. I connected it through wifi to confirm, this time

NB: Wifi signal quality differs. Loop sits <2m from the AE, it uses
wifi-G and reports an RSSI around -45, the AppleTV, much farther away
uses wifi-N and reports an RSSI around -80.

I don't know where the "Stereo - Artists..." menus are from in your

Look here
http://wiki.erland.isaksson.info/index.php/Setup_kids_room_SqueezeBox I
am trying to do the same thing. Only substituting 5.1 music to Kids

limited to Stereo music.
The only plugins I have installed are Custom Browse, Custom Skip and

Well apart from suggesting the Hide Menu plugin I can't help, since I
don't have your player menu customisation screen (although I still think
that all CB menus are probably omitted from that).

It may be that I have a later version of LMS (a recent 7.9) with
'Additional Browse Modes' replacing that screen. If you are on 7.9 you
might try and see if that plugin helps you. It is more configurable
than the one you seem to have.

LMS 7.9 on VortexBox Midi box, Xubuntu 14.04, FLACs 16->24 bit,
44.1->192kbps.
LMS plugin UPnP/DLNA Bridge to MF M1 CLiC (to 405/2 amp & ESLs) &
Marantz CR603 UPnP renderers.
Alternatively Minimserver & Upplay to same & to upmpdcli/mpd PC
renderers.
Squeezelite to Meridian USB Explorer DAC to PC speakers/headphones.
Wireless Xubuntu 15.10 laptop firefox/upplay or Android 'phone with
Squeeze-Commander/BubbleUPnP controls LMS/Minimserver.
Also a Touch with EDO, plus spare, unused.

It was, but I disabled wireless and restarted LMS to see if that would
fix the issue. Still get the bad player error. Also tried changing the
helper port to a higher unused number (50035 in this case). The weird
thing is this exact set up worked perfectly at my previous house, and
nothing changed on the server except where it was located.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: New versions of erlands plugins

2016-02-08 Thread gorman

Desperately trying to use a combination of
Multilibray-CustomBrowse-CustomSkip to have 5.1 DTS/AC3 files playable
only by my living room SB, which is connected to a 5.1 AV receiver.

I am trying to follow this tutorial
http://wiki.erland.isaksson.info/index.php/Setup_kids_room_SqueezeBox .
The principle would be to have a Stereo music library used by all SBs on
my network that would exclude DTS and AC3 files, and an "All Music"
library that would containg all, including DTS and AC3 files.

Unfortunately several of the different voices inside menus are
undocumented in the wiki, the tutorial provides step by step but I still
am not able to have menu items selectable under Settings/Player/Menus.

This is the enabled Menus section in CB:

This is the Player settings/Menus available.

Why is the Stereo Artists entry not available for selection?

I was trying earlier this afternoon and I seemed to be closer to a
solution but then I deleted everything thinking of starting from
scratch. I tried uninstalling the plugins and reinstalling the, deleting
their conf files in the relevant directory. But I have this nagging
feeling that somewhere, somehow, something has remained messed up.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] AirPlay bridge: use airplay devices from LMS (experimental)

2016-02-08 Thread epoch1970

Tonight I want to stream a repeating AAC playlist to the Airport Express
and see what happens. This AE is the current model (released mid-2012),
definitely an "Airplay" device. I am having trouble with it.

The AE is the only device that I have that registers the RAOP service on

BBC stream are AAC 48Khz - why should they be transcoded since CCA can

We'll I tried all the sample rates available and Gideon Coe still sounds
like Arthur Smith (if anyone knows what I'm talking about). I suppose
it's an issue with the Synology platform. Looks like I'm back to Tunein
