Greetings from Finland, Thank you for the hard work! I just want to inform you that I had big problems with playback. Tracks were skipping all the time. I also wasn't able to play next song through lms web gui when playing songs from iPhone (spotify connect). The playback just paused. I changed the helper from spotty-hf v0.20.0 to spotty-muslhf v0.12.2 and everything seems to be working now. Thanks! Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Squeezelite-X
Version 2.2.0 has been uploaded to the Store. This version is mostly internal pipe cleaning and code re-organizing and some efficiency improvements. - SLX will now raise a error flag and stop when the selected output device is not found. Previous behavior was to revert to the default output device and continue. - - SLX will now raise an error flag and stop when it finds the player name you have defined is already in use on the server. Previous behavior was to automatically rename the player and continue. - - Since "show notifications" on new song only works when there is a tray icon and there is a tray icon only when "Run in background" is On. So now, the Show notifications toggle switch is disabled when "Run in background" is set to off. In a future version, I intend to make notifications work even if "Run in background" is off. - - In settings, Apply button will apply any changes from all tabs. Previously only changes in the current tab were applied. - - Updated to latest version of Chromium Embedded Framework - R Greg Dawson Squeezelite-X rgdawson's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=65236 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=108550 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Thanks at least I now know what to test at some point. My W10 PC has the same states but when I testing I have been using the "power" control which offer "Sleep" , "Restart" or "shutdown!. No indication what "Sleep" corresponds to - Hibernate, S3 or Hyrbid Sleep. My Hibernate does not need a password ! My PC is not wired as it is not normally in use as Windows or even LMS server. To test would require wiring a player and also wiring the W10 server. So when PC is put to sleep - all the players are actually playing. Synced players add a level of timing resulting in undetermined variability which I think could affect playback especially coming out of sleep. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=110469 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
[SlimDevices: Plugins] Android control apps: recommendations, differences?
I've been using Squeezer on my Android phone as my main control for a while now. While I'm not particularly missing anything, I'd be curious to know whether I'm missing out on something. I've found three more apps: Squeeze Controller, Squeeze Ctrl and Orange Squeeze. The first one is not rated too high and the latter two don't offer any trial. They are both reasonably priced, but I'd be a bit disappointed if I paid for them just to find out I like Squeezer better. So, what app are you all using on Android? Why did you choose it? What are its strengths and weaknesses? Is there another app to consider that I didn't find? Thanks in advance for any input. At first I thought it was the bridge, but it may be the trigger, the music stops because the Bose Soundtouch 20 suddenly hangs and then restarts. Meanwhile, the Bose disappeared in the bridge. After the reboot is finished, the music starts to play again. Therefore, you have about one minute break. All this happens without any user intervention. It seems that at some point the commands from the Bridge mess up the Bose. No idea what I can do now. The order means try first type and if that fail got to second etc. This can be useful when some Listen Again programs are only available in podcast MP3 so DASH and HLS would fail. FlashAAC used to be useful for very old programs played with BBCiPlayerExtra - these are nearly all gone. > The MP3 and AAC bits make me a little nervous that some of the quality > is lost (I do listen to BBC3 a bit which, unlike the other stations, > seems to be pretty good quality). I can't test UK streams. For R2 or R4 - in the UK the MP3 stream is supposed to be about 339kbps (at least according to the BBC imda URL). I thought above 320kbps for MP3 is very good especially for talking and casual listening programs. BBC make R3 special and it is the only station to have an high quality AAC stream. It can be played via the BBCiPlayer "MP3" menu. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=110469 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

The A..Z groups are created by asking LMS for its list of 'text keys'. This is a list of letters with the first index of each item. e.g. A:0, B:25 would mean the first artist has a text key of 'A', and the 26th has 'B'. Material then creates its A..Z lists, so that if you click on 'A' it shows artists from 0..24 (inclusive). I know early 7.9.2 LMSs had issues with some characters, but can't remember when this was fixed. cpd73's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=66686 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109624 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

The problem is not the codec. Somehow the stream starts paused. It sends a starting header but then only empty frames. If I move the position within the stream (you can reproduce this with the time slider) the plugin starts to send actual music and iPeng plays it. I need to work on 'seek' in librespot. Currently, when you reposition a track in LMS, then spotty uses the plain pcm option of librespot and then re-encodes to flac. It was doing that all the time before. The modifications was to allow ogg to be a passthrough when piping audio instead of decoding it and pipe pcm, but only works if you start from the beginning. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty 2.8.x - Spotify Connect for your Squeezebox
I've tried to take a capture of frames exchanged with iPeng. You surely have better tools that I do :) but what I see is that LMS sends the STMs, iPeng responds by the STMc and does the GET on /stream.mp3. LMS reponds with a content-type: audio/ogg and then it seems that only strmt/STMt slimproto packets are exchanged for a while until iPeng sends and STMd (decode complete) and then a DSCO (stream disconnect). Not much in fact ... in my bridge, it's a couple of seconds between strms and the time a 1st packet arrives to the streaming thread. In the capture I've made form iPeng <=> LMS exchange, there is 6s between the strms and the STMd LMS 7.7, 7.8 and 7.9 - 5xRadio, 3xBoom, 4xDuet, 1xTouch, 1 SB2. oops ... I was following the "control" TCP stream, hence I was not seing data being exchanged. When I follow the TCP stream from the GET response, I have a proper ogg stream that plays nice on audacity LMS 7.7, 7.8 and 7.9 - 5xRadio, 3xBoom, 4xDuet, 1xTouch, 1 SB2. Yea. And when I throw that same Ogg stream at standard libbogg in iPeng (which is what iPeng does), libogg just finds skip frames after the first one. Very weird. Ill have to investigate further. Somehow I cant find where SqueezeLite is doing all this, does it not use libogg etc? --- learn more about iPeng, the iPhone and iPad remote for the Squeezebox and Logitech UE Smart Radio as well as iPeng Party, the free Party-App, at penguinlovesmusic.com *New: iPeng 9, the Universal App for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch* pippin's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13777 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=110455 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

On my static bridge versions, I recompile myself the libogg directly from the source LMS 7.7, 7.8 and 7.9 - 5xRadio, 3xBoom, 4xDuet, 1xTouch, 1 SB2. So an application gathering metadata (using cli like I do) would get a different (incorrect) duration compared to what you get when extracting progress information from song->duration() and song->time. Out of curiosity: How are the jump points for the jump lists determined? I would have imagined that would be the same mechanism but since these work I guess it must be something different. cpd73 wrote: > Please, read previous posts in this thread - and you will find the > answer. I could of course just install random versions of sqlite until one works (probably starting with the newest and hopefully not having to go any further) but I'm curious and would like to find out what's behind it. @cpd73: This really is an amazing plugin and I do appreciate all the work you put into it. When fetching the A..Z list I explicity just ask for the "text keys", and the first 5(?) artists/albums. LMS returns with a list of key->index mappings. When using the jump list, I ask for all (well 25k max) artists/albums in one go. Each artist is also linked with a "text key". I simply iterate this list looking for the first occurance of each key. The artist/album list is then cached into the browser's IndexedDB to speed up subsequent displays of the list. Manul wrote: > > Thanks, searched the thread for "grid" and found it. Any chance of grid > view coming back for more than 300 items? I use a 3rd party "view recycler" library to handle large lists (so only what you see, plus a little bit extra, is part of the HMTL page). Currently this does not support grids, if and when it does then I'll port the grid code to use that. Still, its not a priority for me - as I use AlbumArtist -> Album listings, so that is where my focus lies. Code is open source, so others are free to improve.
