If I search for albums or artists I have as favorites on Qobuz. No

The mains objective of the miniPC is watching movies and other
multimedia content. And as the pioneer N50A is also a USB DAC I have it
connected directly.

To play only music I use the Pioneer UPnP function, so most of the time
the miniPC is off.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Problem playing DSF files via UPnP

2021-10-02 Thread FMatos

Ok

To clarify:

My goal is to use JRiver, that is running in my Laptop as the only Media
Center on the network.

And send (cast) music files to any of the media renderers on the
network. In my case the Pioneer N50A and the RPI4+iFI Zen DAC.

I only have problems with sending DSF files to RPI4, as LMS UPnP does
not accept these files natively.

I Know I can use the LMS interface of the RPI4, but that is not my
goal.

………..
Phillip, I will try to use Yours UPnP bridge, and see if the LMS can
send DSF files to the Pioneer N50A without transcoding. And if that
works I will start to use only the LMS GUI.

I don't fully understand the signal path you are trying to achieve, but
I do think there is a misunderstanding in the parts of your message that
I've quoted. I do not think Jim was suggesting that you run LMS on the
miniPC, just Squeezelite. You already have LMS on your network, on the
Pi, correct? You shouldn't need another instance of the server running,
just the player, Squeezelite, on the mini PC. It would only need to be
turned on when you are listening to music at that location.

LMS 8 nightly running on Raspberry Pi OS. Mostly virtual players,

This is the wrong thread, I think you're referring to the Shairtunes2W

Hi Jim

Thanks for your tip, but my problem is not the control of the Pioneer.
I can control it in several ways, it has a UPnP Media Renderer that
gives access to all of the audio formats he can play.
I can try use Squeezelite/LMS on the miniPC, but that implies that the
miniPC must be always turned on.
I normally only use this miniPC, when I am on the living room listening
to music, watching a movie or any other multimedia activity that also
need the TV, and in that case the Pioneer is used as USB DAC.
If I only used it for music, I can control it with is proper remote, or
use the Pioneer Control App for Smartphone, or any software that had
access to the home network and recognizes UPnP devices, like Foobar,
JRiver etc. and also reads the audio files that I use most like FLAC,
DSF.

But I will install Squeezelite/LMS on the miniPC, and give it a try.

Thanks

Sorry, looks like they do not. I use the 'snackbar' component of the

Which makes sense, as its only meant for quick messages.

Just looked at your code and seen that you are using Material's
'send-notif' command. Would it help if I extended this to add
"client:" then only show these messages if Material's active player
ID matches this ID? You would still see the notifications on clients A

would be a context menu playlist. Before uploading the latest changes to

Feedback in Material skin is not client specific meaning that if client

the started dpl anyway. But I think that's ok, better than no feedback.

context menu

After reading through more of the documentation, it would seem that the
way to do this would be a CONTEXT MENU dynamic playlist like the one at
'https://github.com/AF-1/lms-dynamicplaylists/blob/main/DynamicPlayList/Playlists/zz_contextmenulists/for_playlists/zz_CONTEXTMENU_for_selected_playlist_a01_songs_random.sql.xml

but with the further parameter of selected genres. I don't do code, so
