Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Radio Now Playing plugin
Quick update of the beta to 0.0.17b I spotted that Europa Radio Jazz had changed the URL to their logo ... but I need to have the right one so that I can tell the difference between the logo and a real cover. I also added (just for fun) PiratenRadio.ch ... I came across it while searching for stations like Offshore Music Radio/Caroline Flashback for the core audience here of this plugin. I looked for "pirate radio" and that was one of the hits. In fact it is not a 60/70s UK/NL-style pirate radio - it is more of a mixed/indie station. It has Shoutcast artist/title but no cover art (not on their site either) so it was easy enough to add in and and now some cover art appears via this plugin. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Denon AVP Control Plugin
Ok. So, for now, you have a choice: 1. Leave it in "wife-friendly" mode, enjoying the convenience of not having to press "play" every time you turn it on and hoping for no power outages in the middle of the night, or 2. Change it to "Remain stopped at power on", putting up with having to press "play" but being able to fall asleep knowing you will not wake up in the middle of the night to AC/DC at high volume. 😱 Speaking of volume, maybe you could just lower the initial volume on the Quick Select definition but then you'd have to press the "Volume up" button after turning it on manually so ... All in all, I think I would have to categorize this issue as a "first-world problem". 🤣 However, if you want to pursue it further, do the following: * Turn the SB off * Turn on debug for the plugin * Turn the SB on and wait for music * Turn the SB off * Unplug the SB and wait 30 secs * Plug the SB back in and wait for music * Turn debug off and upload the log file Sam SamY's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=63495 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=60114 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Radio Now Playing plugin
I've just made a new beta 0.0.17a that adds Offshore Music Radio I had it working by simply making a new config file to parse in stream data from their Shoutcast server and using the new CoverSearch stuff to fetch cover art from elsewhere. It worked - although the cover art was, naturally enough, not the same as on their site at http://www.offshoremusicradio.com/lastplayed.php However, they then started a Beach Boys hour with a DJ chatting and my display was stuck on the track preceding their show. So I had to do some more digging around and I found that they also have an Icecast server and it had the name of the show as the last played item ... so that was good news. Also good news was that this Icecast server hosts the higher quality stream - 160k OGG Vorbis. They do not update track titles during the DJ led shows (you can see the same on their web site). I might have a go at parsing their HTML to get the track details including their (iTunes) cover art ... but it is always much more fragile to parse someone's web page for data ... however, I suspect that their web page layout does not change much. My LMS is running on a Linux server and is indead always powered ON and also has a UPS to protect an inmediate shutdown (not very good for a server) The function "Resume at power On" is very handy in use. As far as how to detect the situation and not power the Denon on, I don't have any ideas offhand. Does the Squeezebox actually start playing music when it powers on? If not, it doesn't seem like it would be much of a problem. If it does, I can see how that could be annoying for sure but it should be possible to prevent it by going into the player's Audio settings in LMS and making sure that "Power On Resume" is set to something like "Stop at power off / Remain stopped at power on". Beyond that, we could examine a plugin debug log created during unplugging and replugging the player to see if there are any special player events that the plugin might be able to detect and take special action for. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] LMS-lite certified Smart Home skill for Alexa
There's a new sorting rule for favorites in order to match the new behaviour in MediaServer. Nested folders are exhaustively recursed before popping back up a level to the next item there. This provides consistency up to 1000 items per nested folder and makes the numbering 100% predictable. When counting favorites manually, as soon as you see a folder, go into it and keep counting everything there (and below!) before moving back upwards in the hierarchy. This means that it is possible to ask to play a favorite that is actually a folder rather than audio. If you do that, LMS will just play the first playable item in that folder instead. philchillbill's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=68920 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=111443 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
