I have loaded the files in and restarted, nothing broken. Then I
realised that I am using Squeeze CTRL, not Squeezer... not sure how to
get to a menu that looks like the one on Squeezer, but I will endevour

Try setting the Logging level for "(plugin.extensions) - Extension
Downloader" to the Info or Debug level. Then navigate back to the
"Plugins" tab in the LMS Web interface. After that view your server log
looking for SuperDateTime to see if it provides any clues as to why SDT
5.11.18 is not showing up for you.

If all else fails, you can install the SDT plugin manually.

Basic manual install steps:
Download the 5.11.18 zip file from
  https://sourceforge.net/projects/sdt-weather-com/files/
Unzip and place the extracted SuperDateTime folder in the appropriate
  plugins folder on your system.
Check the "Information" tab in the LMS Web interface for the plugins
  folder locations for your system.
Reboot LMS

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Buffering issues when streaming Deezer in Squeezelite-X

2022-01-14 Thread AdrianM

Hi all,
I'm getting OutputUnderrun messages when streaming Deezer tracks (FLAC)
when playing from Squeezelite-X on my PC. Then the track stops to
rebuffer. Happens pretty much every song somewhere around the 4 to 6
minute mark.
Doesn't appear to be happening when playing through the player set up on
the pi.
No issues at all when streaming FLAC directly through the Deezer app on
the same PC.
Everything is wired.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

This is happening to me that had cropped up after I updated to the
latest Material Skin. For me so far it's just in my Playlist folder in
Qobuz. Everything is duplicated. The Qobuz app doesn't show
duplicates.

So if this is on Qobuz end not sure if they'd oblige if I tell them
about this issue in LMS. :D

I sure hope it sorts out eventually as it's annoying.

Yes mflaten is the guy that I was helping And Yes, I can play
internet radio just fine.. Everyday I play it.
Understand that I had zero issues until I started trying to help him get
his Tidal Running.

That's when I discovered that I could not get my NEW MySB.com Account to

So I have ZERO Problems I only had a Problem when I created a New
MySB.com account and could not get it to display any Apps on LMS.

So, nothing wrong here with my existing configuration at all.

When using the mobile layout, what decides if a dropdown list(Like the

I'm playing with using the 7" RPI display and Xorg

Firefox shows a scollbar to navigate in the list
Epiphany uses a swipe to move through the list.

Is that controlled by the browser, or the device detection and css?

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Radio Now Playing plugin

2022-01-14 Thread Paul Webster

That is indeed a quirk of how things are joined together.
The plugin is not directly involved in the streaming of the content.
All it knows (today) is that the playing is playing or not.
When it is playing then the plugin collected the information about what
is playing from the remote source and, for the most part, all it can
determine is what the remote site says is playing ... but the remote
site is unaware that the player was paused for seconds, minutes or
hours.

Press once on fast forward/next to catch up with the live stream and all
should be well.

I’m sure someone (Michael for sure) will know for Deezer, Tidal etc but
I’ll investigate. I think they are very similar.

Apart from allowing posting in FB etc what this will also do is allow an
LMS user to easily post something into “What are you listening to” here
which will be actually playable for other LMS users who subscribe to
that particular service.

Many thanks for doing this. It may seem like an edge case but I don’t
think it is really. It’s stretching LMS to further compete with Roon.

Okay, here it is. The attached beta plugin files implement the ability
to update the active AVR Quick Select definition from the client plugin
menu using the current audio settings. The specific settings that are
saved with the Quick Select definition seem to vary with different AVR
model lines so you may find that not all of those available in the
plugin menu are saved. For instance with my 2011 model, the restorer
mode isn't saved. Consult your owner's manual for more details. As part
of the plugin's client menu extension, this function is only available
for players using the main AVR zone and only supported for clients that
fully implement the plugin's menu -- at this time, Squeezer (Android)
and iPeng (iOS). It has not yet been tested with iPeng as I have no iOS
devices. Here is a screenshot of the new Quick Select menu on Squeezer.
Note the smaller font on the second line of the menu entry. If you test
this, let me know whether the font looks like that on your device. At
this time, there is no second-level "Are you sure you want to do this?"
logic so just ask yourself that question first, although any unintended
changes are easily correctable. If you need any guidance on how to
update the plugin files on LMS, please ask. Don't forget to cycle LMS
after replacing the files. As always, feedback is encouraged and
welcomed.

No, no social media.

For 2.8.4 'Copy details' will produce:

Code:

Playing TITLE by ARTIST from ALBUM (YEAR) (TECH INFO)

Under the lyrics currently the source (e.g. Spotify) is shown. For

IIRC the LCD display is done using a small python script which talks to
LMS on the CLI port using telnet. The script then converts the metadata
into pixel etc for display using Pi GPIO.

look at readsq.py

Thanks Paul but I did not explain myself well. I would like to control
the picoreplayer (play/pause,next,...) and to get metadata output via
UART.

Of course Paul, I'm fully aware about HW interfacing (3,3V/12V,

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Radio Now Playing plugin

2022-01-14 Thread Redrum

Hi Paul;

I noticed a repeatable quirk in listening to JB Radio 2 (FLAC) via RNP.
I have not tried the other stations but will. I don't mind at all that
this happens, as it's trivial (to me), but I thought you would like it
reported:

This happens on a touch.

1) Listen, artwork and artist song info are correct, then pause in the
middle of a song. Last night a Richard Thompson song was playing
2) Wait a period of time greater than one song...
3) Resume - the richard thompson song (audio) resumes, but with new
artist/album art and info. I assume it's what is currently supposed to
play. This morning it was Neil Finn. So RT song with Neil Finn on the
display.
4) When the song completes (or maybe the play buffer empties?), the
player goes to stop (not rebuffering or anything), then off (clock
screensaver)
5) When I start it back up, song and display are in sync, everything is
fine.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Radio Now Playing plugin

2022-01-14 Thread Paul Webster

Beta 0.0.19c (via non-published repo)

- Add JazzRadio.fr and their 30+ themed channels

Turns out that jazzradio.fr uses the same underlying song metadata
structure as RadioEspace / Allzic radio ... not a big surprise as I
looked a bit more deeply and saw that they have the same owner.
Strange thing is that jazzradio fails to show song data on their web
site, apart from the main broadcast channel.

I also found their XML file that lists of the stations and some
attributes - so I moved to use that rather than my hand-crafted list.
Having found that file, I then looked for something similar on
RadioEspace and found it ... so switched to that as well.

Listeners would already have been getting artist & song info because it
is in the embedded stream metadata ... but now with this plugin they
will get the cover art that the station uses themselves plus where there
is no art (they do not have it for all) and provided I can spot that
they have provided a placeholder image, then I do a coversearch and
fairly frequently find one.

LMS settings in order to get the 3 logitech devices to show up. The
DAC32 is always listed, but for the other 3 Logitech devices, it seems
like at least every day require the "Re-Publish" action for me to see
them on the phone. Not sure exactly when this started, but at least a
month ago I noticed it. No issues with Airplay streaming once the device
is found. Any suggestions or thoughts on whether I need to update a
setting so that this isn't required?

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Uart RaspPi

2022-01-14 Thread bpa

I don't know specific about Pi but generally serial on Linux

To use a serial interface on a Linux box - 2 option.
1. Dumb async terminals mode tty.
2. SLIP - TCP/IP over a serial link.

I think dumb terminal would be simplest.

Serial line could be setup so user could then login with a shell.

Then user could any of the usual command line stuff to communicate with
LMS (e.g. CURL command to POST/GET JSON request to get info / do
command)
Alternative could be to use CLI interface to LMS (i.e. telnet localhost
9090) but I think is is deprecated so may have limited functionality.

Look at LMS WebUI Help -> Technical Information > The Logical Media
Command Line interface

The help provides details (maybe a bit out of date) on CLI and JSON.

For CLI it says

RPi not RS232 ... and if you connected the serial port pins directly to
RS232 device then you could damage the RPi.
The RPi pins are 3.3v and RS232 is 5V and 12V ... expect major problems
if you simply wire them together.

You can get an adapter or connect via USB.

However, I do not know of a built-in way to control or get song info out
of that port.

I expect that it could be done if you write some software (or find
someone to do it for you).

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] LastMix Plugin and Squeezelite v1.9.9-1372-pCP Player Not Working

2022-01-14 Thread bobcoupee

Hi

I am reviving this thread as the problem seems to have started occurring
again. I have one RPi with a JustBoom DAC Hat running PiCorePlayer 8.1.0
and Squeezelite v1.9.9-1392-pCP. DSTM is enabled however it often
doesn't "kick-in" for this one player. Restarting my lms docker
container will cause this player to work with DSTM for a bit and then it
will stop working.

Other players I have in my home (RPi with HiFiBerry Zero DAC, and RPi
with PHAT Beat HAT) with the same versions of PCP and Squeezelite work
without issue.

Looking at the server logs (even with debug level) doesn't seem to show
anything, when it is not working.

Any ideas what I can check to resolve my issue?

Thanks in advance.

Detault skin uses LMS's translations - so not affected by browser.

This is strange. I have tried on 3 different PCs all setup for UK
language and different browsers (Chrome, MS Edge and old Explorer) plus

Shows fine for me, and I use UK English. Material's main string
translation is handled by the browser - so your browser needs the
correct country code. Some strings, such as server settings, listings
under 'My Music' come from LMS.

various devices and cleared cache, etc.

There may be other UK English words that are wrong but this one stands
out. It is also wrong in the Material Interface Settings menu for the
Home screen item selection.

Could you please check.

Many thanks.

H.

Any specific reason you'd use a proxy? I have it in a Home Assistant
Lovelace iframe pointing directly at the server, but I only use it from
my own network ...

Thanks, I've updated the code to handle Spotify, Qobuz, and YouTube.
What about Tidal, Deezer, and Pandora?

I assume for spotify it would be: "spotify://track:XX" ->
"https://open.spotify.com/track/XX; ??? What about Qobuz?

I'm trying to support URLs as provided by the services in addition to
LMS' specific ones:

spotify:album:5aZnaJ1KsftxtNxK1cANb7

qobuz://album:c58wnpivpi1fc.qbz
https://open.qobuz.com/track/111764779

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] SuperDateTime Screensaver v5.11.0 - Date/Time/Weather/Sports/Stocks

2022-01-14 Thread quzma

Thanks for reply.
SDT is not among 'recommended' nor 'other' 3rd party plugins. When I add
'netcologne...' nothing happens. When I add 'downloads...' new section
appears: SuperDateTme Repository, but it's blank, without SDT plugin to
enable. So, it's not that I can't install SDT, but there is not plugin
to install. And what happens with 5.11.16. which I disabled, it should
be somewhere to enable it again?
I also have SDT 5.11.16. installed on the other machine, 'Update plugins
automatically' is enabled.
On both synologys I cant update LMS 7.7.6.
