Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] ANNOUNCE: AirPlay Bridge = integrate AirPlay devices with LMS (squeeze2raop)
Hi, I'm trying to stream LMS to my HomePods using Airplay Bridge, and am having a problem. Specifically, when the 2 HomePods are *not* set up as a stereo pair, I can specify each player to just output one channel, and then synchronize the 2 players to get stereo sounds coming out of the 2 HomePods. Works pretty well. If, however, the HomePods are designated a stereo pair in the home app (as is usually the case), one can send a stream to either one of the HomePods individually, but when synchronized, it causes the HomePods to alternatively play a few seconds out of one speaker and then the other. Having to break and re-create a stereo pair when I want to listen to certain music is less than convenient, and would appreciate any suggestions you might have. I grabbed this from the log file, not sure if it helps. I guess they've changed some things since you set up your account awhile back and when mine was set up last week. I sent them an email asking about metadata and a couple of other things, and they are apparently just devoting their dev resources to getting their new iOS app done. dborod's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=21049 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=111294 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

The expanded URLs that their UI offers up to copy and use in LMS are of the form: hxxps://streams.radiomast.io/?no-icy-metadata=1&token=-xxx If one edits it instead to be hxxps://streams.radiomast.io/?icy-metadata=1&token=-xxx Then there is metadata included in the stream. dborod's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=21049 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=111294 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Ok, I figured it out. There's an "Allow Speaker and TV Access" setting in the Apple Home configuration where you can choose between "Anyone On The Same Network" and "Only People Sharing This Home." Allowing network access fixes it. Hi, I recently migrated my LMS instance from a 2011 Mac mini running 10.13 to a new Mac mini running 10.14. I have a Squeezebox Radio, a Touch, as well as an Apple home pod and a couple of Apple TVs. Prior to the move I had been able to use Airplay Bridge to make music happen everywhere. Unfortunately, I can no longer play mp3 files on the Apple devices. I can play other files (flac and aac) on the Apple devices, and can play mp3 files on the Logitech devices. I installed LAME (https://sourceforge.net/projects/lmsclients/files/utility/lame-3.99.5-osxhs.tar.gz/download) into /Library/PreferencePanes/Squeezebox.prefPane/Contents/server/Bin/darwin-x86_64/ The audio settings page for all of the players indicate that LAME is installed correctly. Any idea what the problem is, and how I might be able to resolve it? dborod's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=21049 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=105198 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Some ALAC files play, and some do not, so it certainly seems like an encoding issue of some kind. Hi, I'm not sure when this problem started, but playing apple lossless files no longer seems to work for me in iPeng, but flac and mp3 flies play just fine. I'm running the latest iOS, iPeng, and the latest nightly LMS is running on a Mac running macOS 10.13.4. Apple lossless files play fine through localplayer on the Mac itself. Adding the repo URL doesn't yield an installable plugin on the plugins page, placing an un-zipped copy of it in the plugins folder only works until LMS restarts, and placing the ZIP file in DownloadedPlugins doesn't do anything. I eventually discovered the settings to input the username and password. Seconds, I receive this error shortly after it eventually loads: RangeError: Maximum call stack size exceeded at Function.o.extend.map (file:///Users/david/Downloads/LMS%20Remote.app/Contents/Resources/app.nw/js/jquery.min.js:2:3558) at eval (file:///Users/david/Downloads/LMS%20Remote.app/Contents/Resources/app.nw/js/script.js:563:28) at eval (/Users/david/Downloads/LMS Remote.app/Contents/Resources/app.nw/node_modules/logitechmediaserver/squeezeplayer.js:36:16) at IncomingMessage.eval (/Users/david/Downloads/LMS Remote.app/Contents/Resources/app.nw/node_modules/node-json-rpc/lib/rpcclient.js:182:9) at IncomingMessage.EventEmitter.emit (events.js:120:20) at eval (_stream_readable.js:896:16) at process._tickCallback (node.js:534:11) I say "eventually" since my music library is very large. I don't really want a refund as I'm sure the bugs will eventually be resolved ;-) I have an exceptionally large library, and the app seems to crash (and require a very lengthy and heat-inducing re-sync) when browsing by albums, artists, and so forth, and just using the app in general. Also, the app behaved frozen when re-syncing. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] iPeng support thread
Just updated my iPhone 4S and was delighted to discover that, contrary to current trends, ipeng got faster with the new version. There's some muscle memory that I'm going to have to re-program, but everything is otherwise as expected. One small thing... How about a 'night time' mode when using 'home' mode (browsing through the music library, settings,etc.). It's quite bright, especially compared to 'ipeng' mode (the playlist screen, etc). Ok, here are some more things... - when swiping down from the top of the screen, swipe low to reveal player, swipe high reveals notifications. Swipe in between and you get both - swipe from R to L on most music browsing screens will bring you into the lyrics/playlist/artwork screens, but then swiping L to R doesn't take you back. This is contrary to what a user expects will happen in iOS - I've consumed about 12% battery on my 4S in the past 15 minutes just leaving ipeng running while music is playing on the SB radio beside me. My phone is also quite warm Thanks for a solid update! dborod's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=21049 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=51929 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

I too would appreciate knowing that the connection has been reestablishef upon wake from sleep. I find it frustrating to not have any feedback that my taps and swipes are for naught (mostly to adjust the volume or pause playback). Rather than yet another icon, I'd suggest that the screen be dimmed/blurred/de-saturated or something until the connection is re-established. Taps and gestures would still be respected, and would instantly cause the screen to revert to normal. -- dborod dborod's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=21049 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=51929 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

I recently upgraded my phone from a 3GS to a 4S. I notice that the icons and controls in ipeng aren't making use of the screen's increased resolution. I know this is a minor (and purely aesthetic thing) but making use of larger bitmaps for retina displays would make your already great app just a bit greater. -- dborod dborod's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=21049 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=51929 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

To recap: iPhone 3GS, ipeng, SBS 7.6 on Mac os x 10.6, using squeezeslave and 1st generation squeezebox as players. I have a large library of 200,000+ tracks. It seems like no matter what I do, and no matter what state I leave the phone and app in (other than force quitting the app prior to putting the phone to sleep, my phone gets warm, even when asleep and the battery charge vanishes. In fact, even with no music playing and the phone asleep it gets warm and runs down the battery. My phone is not jail broken. It impossible that ipeng is using 100% CPU? What can I do? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] iPeng support thread
I just did an experiment: 1) Using a web browser on a different computer than the SBS, I connected to the SBS and added a 225 song playlist to the end of the empty current playlist. CPU load on the SBS momentarily spiked, and a few seconds later the current playlist was updated 2) Using ipeng on my phone (or ipad), I added the same playlist to the end of the empty current playlist. CPU usage on the SBS spikes to 100% for a couple of minutes, and it takes that long for the playlist to show up in the browser too (in fact, the browser basically hangs). Curiously, force quitting ipeng on the phone unblocks the browser update and stops the CPU abuse. Something horribly inefficient seems to be happening... I don't have a way to test with iOS 4.1, but I could use time machine to test earlier versions of the app. I could also downgrade SBS back to 7.5. -- dborod dborod's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=21049 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=51929 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

I've noticed another oddity with my setup (SBS 7.6 on OS X 10.6.5, iPhone 3GS 4.2.1). When I launch the app on my phone the CPU usage on the perl process on the Mac spikes to near 100% for quite some time, and on the phone, the contents of the current playlist take a very long time (about a minute for a playlist of 200 items) to show up, in batches of 25 at a time. I don't seem to recall in the past it taking quite so long for ipeng to acquire the current playlist from the SBS, nor it trashing the SBS so much (to the point where playback is stuttered and interrupted. -- dborod dborod's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=21049 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=51929 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Turns out I was running the 3.7 that I'd re-acquired from SC rather than the one I'd previously installed, so it still works. -- dborod dborod's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=21049 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=53670 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins

Presto! It's now no longer working. I'm back to softsqueeze launching and "working" insofar as there's a play registered and sounds come out of my music, but there are no windows associated with the app. I'll try the download and re-install again. -- dborod dborod's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=21049 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=53670 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] SoftSqueeze?
I went to the sourceforge download page for softsqueeze http://softsqueeze.sourceforge.net/download.html and followed the links to download the 3.7 installer, ran the installer, and presto, the app that it installed works as it used to. -- dborod dborod's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=21049 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=53670 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] SoftSqueeze?
I've upgraded both of my machines to 10.5.6 and the player is still only visible on the MacPro and not my MacBook. What a pain. -- dborod dborod's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=21049 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=53670 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] SoftSqueeze?
When the java app launches there is a prompt to accept the code signing certificate. The app's window looks different between the two computers I've tried this with. Again, both have 10.5.5. I have attached screenshots of the 2 different windows. +---+ |Filename: Softsqueeze_works.png| |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=6193| +---+ -- dborod dborod's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=21049 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=53670 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] SoftSqueeze?
I'm having the same problem in Mac OS 10.5.5. The app will launch but there are no windows. SqueezeCenter sees the player and I can play songs through it. Very odd. I've tried deleting the Java cache in ~/Library/Caches/Java as well as the preferences file org.titmuss.softsqueeze.plist Softsqueeze as an applet also doesn't work. I've also tried using a different account on the machine. I've tried it on a different computer (same OS version) and it works fine. I wish I knew how to fix this. -- dborod dborod's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=21049 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=53670 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
