There's no website project for Korean on
https://translations.documentfoundation.org/ko/
Can anyone add it? Top leader of Korean project is still Jeongkyu
Kim(jeongkyu) and website admin is me(Jihui_Choi). You can give admin
right to one of us, it doesn't matter actually.

Thank you.

[libreoffice-projects] [LibreOffice-Box] Admin Notice: assets restructured

2012-01-24 Thread Erich Christian
Dear subsite admins at libreofficebox.org,

Sorry for crossposting as an attempt to reach all of you.

At time we are up to reorganize the /assets directory containing all our
files in Silverstripe.

We kindly request you to use the appropriate folders according to your teams
and please stop uploading anything to the /assets root directory.

These files will be deleted to /trash from where you may still move them
somewhere else in case.

Top level directories in /assets will be the /installer folders (to be
renamed), all respective folders of the NL teams, /addons
(multilingual), and a few other shared folders like /screenshots eventually.

As we see it, there is no need for shared extras, templates, graphics,
documentation, and similar, because all this is localized material and
should also be stored in NL team's folders. Opinions?

We will set up a wiki page to reflect the directory tree once we've
worked it out.
Our goals are an easy to be overlooked /assets root and a directory tree
with self-explaining folder names to make life for all of us a little
better :-)

Please take a chance and do move and/or eventually delete your obsolete
contents by yourselves, using the admin panel will correct your links.
Changes are scheduled for the weekend so please finish by Friday.

Thanks for your kind attention,

Cheers
Erich

You're right of course...
Talked it over with Uwe and he also agrees to establish a 'subfolder
culture' within the main folders.

So just go ahead establish and fill /en etc. folders for your content to
get your iso going, we'll move our stuff to /de folders when you're done
or by next weekend.

no problem except for german labels and inlays

+1 to the docs, we'll follow
also create /en etc. folder for dedicated stuff in /artwork

same for this one, create subdirectories for your files and we'll do so
too, how does this sound? ;-)

Uwe has adjusted the scripts [1] earlier today to run a test from
http://dvd.north-america.libreofficebox.org/

It's too early for an iso though, please run a linkchecker across your
site, e.g. you are linking to the german software installers in the
folder 'assets/extras' which doesn't really make sense I guess. ;-)

Assets in general:
Please remove your english (a.o.) files also from 'addons' (and maybe
elsewhere mixed up with german files) and generate some folders within
'NA' for your content.
We will afterwards move the whole german stuff into 'de' in order to
decrease confusion and the amount of 1st level folders in assets.

Moving the files/folders by the cms interface should hopefully adjust
the (working) links within your pages.

'installer' will remain untouched by the moves of course, Uwe has also
updated the hardlinks to the recent LO versions today.

We will keep at least the recent stable releases available, but need to
delete obsolete ones to keep the database size reasonable.
So let's have a hint what you do not need anymore.

In case you want to offer unzipped rpm/debs there is the page type
'folder page' available to display these subfolders/files automatically.

> Will need to know where the file can be retrieved from when it is done.

You can fetch this first export here [2] to have a look.
Please do all corrections in the cms, don't mind the static files,
another export of corrected ones is no such big thing.

We'll send another link once there is an iso to retrieve :-)
send a hint when you're ready for round 2.

Silverstripe offers no possibility to rename or move folders in assets.
Create a new one, move content, delete the old one.
We can drag files across existing folders and the links are corrected.

Well the 'homepage' of a site works best when the URL ends with ../home
although it 'should' work when it's defined as a homepage of a dedicated
url defined on the Behaviour tab - which does not always work as expected...

So I've changed it now to
https://dvd.north-america.libreofficebox.org/home/
and things seem to work, pls check.

Yepp sure, at time there is no public upload so I'll send you a ftp link

php.ini is set to 32M max_upload_filesize

For really bigger files just use the ftp connection and tell me where to
place them.
All installers, lang- and helppacks are on the same server with our
Silverstripe install, no need to upload anything of this kind.

Looks like a flashplayer/uploadify issue...

Christian found the right track today
http://www.uploadify.com/forums/discussion/comment/3089/#Comment_3089
http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/000/fdc7b5c.html

Means, as long as we wait to get our SSL certificate the flash uploader
will stay disabled, standard upload works again, one file at a time.
In case you have lots you might as well tar.gz them and we could fetch
them by wget like the isos.

You just have to change the logo to the one without text (used on your
site) and set the 'website name' as mentioned NA DVD... positioned by css.
Anyways to work on 'your' theme in the future it is necessary to create
a folder containing the (modified) files from git and renamed to e.g.
'natheme' or whatever and upload this to the server for futher use.

Friedrich is just reorganizing the folder structure, so the available
langpacks etc. will be accessible for all subsites, give us a little
more time for this.
The link is set by clicking on the link symbol, choosing 'download file'
in the right panel and then choosing the pack from the folder/files list
displayed - insert link - save - done.
For this kind of basics pls check out the Silverstripe 'Help' tab.

Have to run, cu later

The active theme used for your dvd is 'tdf' taken from the main site and
just slightly modified:
https://github.com/tdf/cms-themes/tree/master/tdf

These files are not accessible via CMS interface, so you might want to
download and adjust them. When you're done rename the theme folder and
either send me a zip or provide a link, I'll upload it for you as long
as you don't have permissions to access the server yourself - I'm not

I guess there's the possibility to fetch the visitor's browser language

all the translations - we offer the environment for different teams to

Added you, Sigrid, and Thomas to the according publisher group (Int.

[libreoffice-projects] libreofficebox teams and subsites

2011-03-17 Thread Erich Christian
Hi @ll,

We have finished the first step of our move and are up to prepare
Silverstripe and the iso generating scripts on libreofficebox.org for
multilingual use.

Like we do ourselves we're thinking of offering subdomains to every
interested NL team for the use as a website concerning the dvd and a
second sublevel domain to be used for development of the dvd ui. The dvd
ui can be exported together with all linked files prior to an upcoming
release of a dvd into static html, the iso file will be generated by
script from this export.
At the moment iso distribution still works manually but we're also up to
create a smooth workflow in this concern, which will feed the isos to
mirrorbrain and bittorrent in the near future (as we're on the
appropriate server now).

We're looking forward to hear from you what kind of subs you would want
to use, just for example could be es.libreofficebox.org together with
devel.es.libreofficebox.org or whatever fits better to your requirements.

We have also created a simple landing page and contact form in english
to start with and so offering an easy approach for the community, it's
going to be available via www.libreofficebox.org.

We imagine the handling of permissions similar to the LO/TDF websites
running on Siverstripe, just leaving out the "author" role which looks
quite obsolete in this concern, registration will also be possible via
SS forum. Let me have your opinions pls.

Last not least: We're not really sure whether LibreofficeBox is really
the best name for our project.
We've transfered this as a working name from PrOOo-Box which was great
these days but we're not 100% happy with it.

So everyone with a good idea might chime in.

Cheers
Erich

I know about the multilingual approach on the NA DVD - Sophie shortly
mentioned another (?) french team working on a 'french' CD?
Is there? That´s what I wanted to get clear... maybe I took something wrong.

As mentioned before, we´re planning to move the whole construction to
another server and setting up Silverstripe similar to the homepage.
By the time all NL teams should be able to assemble and kick off their
discs into the mirroring and torrent-tracker close by.
So I try to collect some basic infos for sort of an initial cms
configuration.

We´re also working on the server management for a lot of new people will
need access and certain permissons...
to shed some light on 'the next project' ... ;-)
