RE: [qmailtoaster] Re: Migrating to new server
Natalio, thanks for the pointers. Your method is the one I used. On the Exchange side this is what I did : Added an internal domain (domain.local) for a secondary email address. Added the email domain on Exchange as an Internal Relay and configured an SMTP Connector to the Qmail server. This way Exchange 2010 will forward any email it receives that it does not have a mailbox for to the Qmailtoaster server. One fun fact I found out the hard way, do not remove mailboxes in Exchange! This will delete AD accounts with it. That is what I get for testing in a production environment. Just some ideas: 1) Create a second domain in exchange, as an alias domain. Every exchange user will have two addresses (user@domain and user@secondarydomain). 2) Create an smtproute in your qmail box to forward all secondarydomain to your exchange box 3) Create forwards for the accounts you already have migrated, so as to forward the migrated user mail to the secondary domain. This could solve one problem. All users in the qmail box can send mails to users in exchange box. Maybe you could do something similar to the reverse problem. I do not know if you are going to need a SMTP Connector in your exhchange box. Salutti, Natalio.
[qmailtoaster] Migrating to new server
One of my clients is moving from a Qmailtoaster server (setup by me) to Exchange 2010 and has tasked me to perform the migration for them. The problem I am having is that I have to manually change their Outlook settings in order to switch them to their Exchange accounts. I need to move the users over in groups and only a few at a time. I have tried deleting their accounts on the Qmail server and their new emails show up on their Exchange account. The problem I have is that users still on the Qmail server cannot send email to users that have already moved to the Exchange server and vice versa. Thoughts or suggestions on how to accomplish this?

Just looking to hear experiences with this... Alex I have been waiting for LDAP integration for a while now. I know there was a big discussion on it here but they moved to the dev list and I am not sure what happened after that. The wiki page you linked said they were waiting on vpop 5.5 back in 2009. It looks like the latest stable version of vpopmail is still 5.4.33. I have not seen a new devel release (5.5) of vpopmail since November of 2010. - Qmailtoaster is sponsored by Vickers Consulting Group (www.vickersconsulting.com) Vickers Consulting Group offers Qmailtoaster support and installations. [qmailtoaster] Re: Blackberry invalid sender address format
-Original Message- From: Eric Shubert [mailto:e...@shubes.net] It sounds to me as though you don't have the newest qmailtoaster-plus package. qtp-newmodel now offers the option to rebuild packages that are up to date. These 2 commands: # rpm -Uvh \ http://qtp.qmailtoaster.com/repos/nodist/qmailtoaster-plus.rep o-0.2-2.noarch.rpm # yum update qmailtoaster-plus should get you current with QTP. Thanks Eric and Mike, both solutions look like they should work. I chose Eric's because it seemed simpler. My OS is woefully out of date (FC6), so it isn't one of the directories in the qtp repos (http://qtp.qmailtoaster.com/repos/fedora/), so qtp-newmodel wasn't happy when it tried to set up unionfs. However, once I opted out of using unionfs it worked fine. The new setting is now in place: grep CHKUSER_ALLOW_SENDER_CHAR_3 /var/qmail/doc/chkuser_settings.h #define CHKUSER_ALLOW_SENDER_CHAR_3 '/' Thanks for all your help. smime.p7s Description: S/MIME cryptographic signature
[qmailtoaster] ***SPAM*** [qmailtoaster] Re: Blackberry invalid sender address format
Hi Eric, I'm experiencing the problem you addressed below, but I haven't figured out how to apply your solution. I wonder if you could point out what I'm missing. I've downloaded the RPM you indicated and confirmed it with md5sum. I didn't initially delete the previous file from the SRPMS directory, but the download seems to have overwritten it anyway. However, when I run qtp-newmodel it says that the package is up to date (which, going by the version number, it is) and doesn't process it - as confirmed by checking the CHKUSER_ALLOW_SENDER_CHAR_3 entry in /var/qmail/doc/chkuser_settings.h I think maybe remove the existing package first means more than deleting the .rpm file, but when I try rpm -e it complains about a bunch of dependencies. Should I force the rpm -e, or is there a better way to get qtp-newmodel to re-process the package. I notice in http://trac.shubes.net/qtp http://trac.shubes.net/qtp that you identify allowing the script to rebuild packages as an outstanding enhancement :) Thanks, John I'm guessing that since the variable is commented out, it doesn't exist, so cannot be changed (We're not real certain about how chkuser is handling this). http://qtp.qmailtoaster.com/repos/SRPMS/qmail-toaster-1.03-1.3.20.src.rpm http://qtp.qmailtoaster.com/repos/SRPMS/qmail-toaster-1.03-1.3.20.src.rpm is a version of the package that contains the / character for chkuser. This is the only change in it from the stock package. Download (wget) it into /usr/src/qtp-upgrade/SRPMS/ (don't forget to remove the existing package there first), then run qtp-newmodel and have it rebuild the qmail-toaster package. That'll fix you up. Jake, please refresh my memory. Why is it that this '/' character hasn't been added to the stock package? It's becoming a real PITA for me as well as others. ;) -- -Eric 'shubes' smime.p7s Description: S/MIME cryptographic signature

RE: [qmailtoaster] Re: Domainkeys Problems
The test emails just had my signature in them and test as the subject. I will try a new key pair and see if that fixes the problem. I might go ahead with adding DKIM as well. I will let you know the results. The domainkeys code in QMT is known to be a bit buggy, but that has only been on checking, not signing ttbomk. Is there something perhaps in the content of your test that is triggering a malfunction? IOW, how simple is the content in your test message? If it's trivial text, then I'd suspect that your configuration has an issue. Perhaps your pub/private keys got mixed up somehow? You might want to generate a new key pair and reinstall them to be sure. Or, I believe there's a way to validate that the keys you're using belong together. I'm not that familiar with openssl off hand to tell you how to do that. John Raley wrote: I just ran these again today and they failed on Domainkeys test. Since the outgoing mail is signed and that looks good, too (pointing to the right selector), I really am at a loss here. Do you have a sample header for a rejected email? E.g. could you sent this to some webmail account like google or yahoo and send the headers that will produce? If need be, you should set the policy record to signs SOME mail (curently it says it signs all email), so that your tests do not get blocked and keep you from investigating this... That's all I can think of. Anyone else got some more ideas? Martin Am 02.02.2010 um 11:49 schrieb John Raley: Every email testing service I have tested fails on domainkeys for my qmailtoaster server. Nothing works. Restarts for qmailtoaster, Apache, and MySQL all fine. Can login to mysql, can use command line commands for vpopmail, I don't get it. What has changed? Upgrade Webmin. Also, it is possible I've screwed up /etc/group when I added apache as a member of the new group, but I scrolled back and diff'd the contents of /etc/group and no difference. Upgraded qmailadmin while I was at it, no problems. ld.so.conf.d/mysql-i386.conf says to include /usr/lib/mysql. Can you tell us a little about your system? (distro/arch) When you upgraded qmailadmin, what switches did you use to rebuild it? What does the command getenforce show? I wrote this original post but I'm replying from this email that I have to use since my system isn't processing email. Interesting that this one got through, as I never received it to the original address. So this email may be somewhat tied to my other post about upgrading clamav and email no longer working. Amazingly, I might have been right about that since this email went through after I upgraded Webmin, and after I upgraded qmailadmin. FYI I mentioned in my other thread that I fixed the qmailadmin 500 internal server error by creating a symlink to the libmysqlclient.so.15 in /usr/lib. I created symlinks to the others while I was there, even though this alone fixed it: cd /usr/lib ln -s mysql/libmysqlclient.so.15.0.0 libmysqlclient.so.15 I still don't know why I needed to do this, since /etc/ld.so.conf includes this line: include ld.so.conf.d/*.conf and ld.so.conf.d/*.conf points to /etc/ld.so.conf.d/mysql-i386.conf, which includes this line: /usr/lib/mysql which is the directory that includes libmysqlclient.so.15 (symlink to libmysqlclient.so.15.0.0). Smelled like a permision issue to me yesterday, and still does. getenforce command indicates disabled. I've also just noticed squirrelmail is down (blank white screen). Log shows PHP Warning: require_once(../config/config.php) [a href='function.require-once'function.require-once/a]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in /usr/share/squirrelmail/functions/global.php on line 92 PHP Fatal error: require_once() [a href='function.require'function.require/a]: Failed opening required '../config/config.php' (include_path='.:/usr/share/pear') in /usr/share/squirrelmail/functions/global.php on line 92 So squirrelmail and qmailadmin not working: fairly certain a result of the Webmin upgrade, v1.410 to v1.490, as nothing else interesting going on prior to that. Re: [qmailtoaster] Re: can't open/parse clamd.conf
Seems everything is resolved at this point, and sqirrelmail works fine. Since the logs complained about the compatibility plugin, I followed instructions I found and removed the plugin via conf.pl, renamed the directory, downloaded a current version, decompressed it, untarred it, moved it to the plugins dir for SQ, patched the compatibility code from within the new compatibility dir according to the INSTALL instructions: patch -p0 patches/compatibility_patch-1.4.11.diff (note the version doesn't match the qmailtoaster SQ version I'm running--1.4.19) And at that point I realized I needed to enlarge my window so I could see everything going on in conf.pl plugins, where I observed I had both compatibility.old and compatibility plugins installed. Duh. So, since the documentation says you don't need them, I uninstalled both and everything works fine. But enabling them each separately again to see if I can recreate the white page doesn't reproduce it. Go figure. Error log says /usr/share/qmailadmin/index.cgi: error while loading shared libraries: libmysqlclient.so.15: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory So I'm tracing my steps and following various forum threads on the topic, trying things like removing and recreating the symlinks in /usr/lib/mysql, running ldconfig, restarting Apache, blah, blah, blah. [qmailtoaster] Sent email rejected for only one user
I have a user that can not send an email to one particular domain, at least that I'm aware of. When rliso...@cotterschools.org sends and email to johnostrow...@desch.org, or any other person at the domain, he gets an immediate bounce back. However, I can send this person (johnostrow...@desch.org) an email with my account (jhan...@cotterschools.org) and he receives it without a problem. The bounce back is not very intuitive, but suggests that the recipients email server is refusing the message. The message is below. I'm leaving the email addresses and domains as they appear to help try and solve the problem. The SMTP logs on my end indicate that the message is good, and sent. I've talked with the email tech at the recipient domain, and he can not find any indication on why the email might have been rejected by his server. In fact, there's no evidence that it even hit his mail server. Bounce Message: Hi. This is the qmail-send program at mail.cotterschools.org. I'm afraid I wasn't able to deliver your message to the following addresses. This is a permanent error; I've given up. It's not free, but 40$ isn't exaggerated and it does a very good job. This tool sends mails one per one. Only if you use iptables recent, you will have to exclude the senders ip-address from this rule. Andreas Thanks Andreas for the suggestion. The database software we are using to send out the emails is using a mail merge program that also sends out emails one per one. I have several options, but the person sending the emails likes using the Outlook option because it makes the emails more personable. I assume the problem is, even though the program sends the emails out one by one, that it sends them out fast enough that there is not enough time in between each email, and chkuser thinks we are violating recipient and security policies. Is there a time-out setting (SMTP?) before the next email can be sent so it can be seen as a single email and not as a large group that might be contributing to the chkuser violations? For example each email is sent out from the database as a single email, but they are still being caught by chkuser as exceeding the recipient limit. If there is a setting I can change in qmailtoaster, let me know so I can test it. [qmailtoaster] Problems emailing large number of recipients
Greetings list, I have a problem with one of my users who is trying to send out a large amount of emails (900+) at one time. We are a school, and we try to send out regular updates to our alumni regarding upcoming events and interests. These emails are generated via a database program, then sent through this particular users Outlook client. This is not spam, but to our email server, it is being treated like it. Which I appreciate. All the users in the database have asked to have emails sent to them. Below are the 2 separate bounce back messages, the tcp.smtp settings, and the spamdyke.conf setting for max recipients. It appears that the messages are still being stopped after the recipient limit hits 50. The chkuser_recptlimit=1000. [qmailtoaster] script needed
I have converted from mbox to Maildir folders on my old server. I am moving the folders from my old mail server to my new mail server which is using Maildir with Qmailtoaster. The problem is my courierimapsubscribed file is unaware of the non-default folders the users have added themselves. I need a script that can look at all the files in my existing Maildir folder that do not match the default folders (ie .Sent, .Trash, .Drafts, cur, new, tmp, etc) and then append those file names to courierimapsubscribed so that my imap clients will recognize them. For example, say my user created a Maildir/.Folder1, I need the line INBOX.Folder1 appended to courierimapsubscribed. Can anyone help me come up with a script to do this? Re: [qmailtoaster] QmailToaster with LDAP
Eric Shubert wrote: Wait a minute. I might be going to sound like an idiot here, but I'll take that chance. LDAP is a protocol, not an implementation. You can implement LDAP with a mysql backend, can you not? If so, why couldn't you have a mysql database that serves both vpopmail and ldap at the same time? I guess it'd be a matter of mapping the database schemas together somehow. If the schemas could not be merged together (a good chance of that I expect, as the vpopmail database isn't normalized well at all), worse case scenario would be having to run a process periodically that maps one schema (probably ldap) on to the other (probably vpopmail). In that way, you could share authentication data like John is looking to do. Does this make any sense at all? It makes sense, but to make a couple points clear at this point in time, when you want LDAP for Qmail it then becomes an implementation. Sure, you could change the backend to serve both vpopmail and LDAP, but that would be a major rewrite if you wanted to use the same db for the backend. Can you tie them together? Sure. The database is just a bunch of information. How you pull that info and serve it for your app is up to you and is only limited by your imagination. I could see a daemon that pulled some data from a vpopmail database (either appending extra data to the DB entries since vpopmail will ignore the extra data anyway or using another DB tableset for this) that served it up in an LDAP format. Interesting idea really. What about building a script to populate the mysql backend upon creation of a new ldap user? I'm thinking the script would pull the information from the newest user and then use mysql commands to insert that info as a new record in mysql. But that might be harder than it sounds. Just a thought. -- This message has been scanned for viruses and dangerous content by the Cotter Technology Department, and is believed to be clean. - Qmailtoaster is sponsored by Vickers Consulting Group (www.vickersconsulting.com) Vickers Consulting Group offers Qmailtoaster support and installations. [qmailtoaster] Bug in vpopmail-toaster-5.4.17 with disable-many-domains

If you change the configuration back to the way it supposed to be, chkuser will be able to function again. Or you if you must change the vpopmail config you'll also need to edit the qmail-toaster config and remove the chkuser settings/patch. I cannot think of any other packages you would need to edit, but that does not mean there will not be some more problems. The patches/configuration used with the Qmailtoaster packages you downloaded are tried and true.
Re: [qmailtoaster] Bug in vpopmail-toaster-5.4.17 with disable-many-domains
A long time ago in a galaxy far away separate domain tables was not an option with vpopmail in mysql. That's the reason it's set up the way it is. This should give you an idea of how long this old qmail install has been running without issues with lots of domains and accounts. Just trying to get r done (upgraded) as easily/quickly as possible. Thanks for the assist. No guesses - I explained what you would need to start with in my last message. You probably won't find a how-to to do this with QMT, since QMT was packaged to run a specific way. If you change how it runs you run the risk of causing components to no longer work (as you see for yourself) and are better off going back to your hand-compiled method since it will be less work in the long run than have to constantly chase issues that arise from changing the package functionality. Just my 2-cents.
[qmailtoaster] list bounces sent to moderator?
Is there a way to route bounced emails from a list to a specific address? I see a 'bouncer' file in the vpopmail directory for that list... but adding an email address to the file or a |/var/qmail/bin/qmail-inject doesn't work. The point is I have a moderator who wants to receive the bounces so he can be proactive in asking for an updated email address from a user instead of letting them fall off the list silently. [qmailtoaster] duplicate emails
I recently posted a message about this and found a solution but with negative effects. I determined that only one email address was receiving duplicate emails. I found that by moving that account's .qmail file out of the way the duplicates stopped. Here's the contents of .qmail: |/var/qmail/bin/preline /usr/bin/maildrop -A 'Content-Filter: maildrop-toaster' /etc/mail/mailfilter /home/vpopmail/domains/boubion.com/dominic/Maildir/ Don't I need this for the spambox I set up? Memory and server loads are pretty consistent as not much has changed on this server in recent months so I don't think this is a RAM issue as has been suggested in other threads. Only odd thing is the timestamp on .qmail for the user is April 30th. I looked back in my trash can and can easily see the duplicates started after the file was modified. To be honest I don't remember what I might have done to modify the file. spamassassin-toaster-3.1.8-1.3.8 clamav-toaster-0.93-1.3.18 Thanks, John - QmailToaster hosted by: VR Hosted http://www.vr.org - To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
[qmailtoaster] yahoo and aol bouncing email due to user complaints
I host a tiny ezmlm list (100 subscribers) and several members have asked why they're getting messages from the list saying messages have been bouncing and if they continue to bounce they'll be removed from the list. A few weeks ago I discovered that yahoo has been deferring emails to the list due to user complaints. It doesn't seem to happen when I send an email to a single yahoo user, just list-related. Now it has come to my attention that aol is bouncing emails to the list due to user complaints or too much email. One bounce was dated April 12. This is a very low volume list. A few days ago I started getting duplicate emails. I've read some threads on that and RAM seems to be a culprit. I have not upgraded lately and memory levels have been pretty consistent for some time. Never been a problem in the past year. Also two days ago logwatch reported yum updates/installs/uninstalls of packages and I did not initiate this activity. That has me thinking hacker. I know this is a fruit salad of issues but I'm including them in case they could be related. Any advice on how to approach these problems and in what order would be appreciated. Re: [qmailtoaster] mail not being delivered to all users
Thanks Ben. Do I need rDNS entries for each domain name hosted on this server or just the one for the actual hostname? John Ben Mills wrote: John, You need to have your ISP set your rDNS to emerald.boubion.com . Many MTAs won't accept messages from foreign hosts that have unresolvable rDNS or an rDNS which contains an IP. FYI I've already checked the common blacklists and this IP isn't listed, although Earthlink informed me that they may have been blocking it if my IP address was previously used by spammers. [qmailtoaster] incorrectly flagged as spam
I know about whitelisting but am wondering if there are other thoughts or suggestions regarding this issue: An email thread sent to me was flagged as spam and it isn't. It's a very innocent email in it's text. Here's the last reply: Teri, Please send us a screener at the address listed below. Thanks for contacting us and being patient. There were a few replies below this one. The header shows this: X-Spam-Status: Yes, score=5.0 required=5.0 tests=DK_POLICY_SIGNSOME, EXTRA_MPART_TYPE,HTML_MESSAGE,HTML_TAG_EXIST_TBODY,PART_CID_STOCK, PART_CID_STOCK_LESS,TVD_FW_GRAPHIC_ID1 autolearn=no version=3.1.8 X-Spam-Report: * 0.8 EXTRA_MPART_TYPE Header has extraneous Content-type:...type= entry * 0.0 DK_POLICY_SIGNSOME Domain Keys: policy says domain signs some mails * 2.1 TVD_FW_GRAPHIC_ID1 BODY: TVD_FW_GRAPHIC_ID1 * 0.1 HTML_TAG_EXIST_TBODY BODY: HTML has tbody tag * 0.0 HTML_MESSAGE BODY: HTML included in message * 1.0 PART_CID_STOCK Has a spammy image attachment (by Content-ID) * 1.0 PART_CID_STOCK_LESS Has a spammy image attachment (by Content-ID, * more specific) The graphic is actually a few graphics embedded in the original newsletter that started the thread (HTML plus plain text versions sent). Suggestions? I'd like to focus more on the newsletter (which comes from teh same server) since that seems to be the biggest contributor. I'd also like to know if there is a way to train qmailtoaster that an email is not spam from the command line (I think I read this a while back and can't find it). If so, what would that syntax look like? John - QmailToaster hosted by: VR Hosted http://www.vr.org - To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

By default qmailtoaster stores the info in text files located in /home/vpopmail/domains/yourdomain.com/yourlistname/subscribers. You could also do cat mylist.txt | /usr/bin/ezmlm-sub full_path_to_your_list Either way I suggest creating a test list for these kinds of exercises. After you are done you can use /usr/bin/ezmlm-list full_path_to_your_list to verify it works as expected, or ezmlm-list -n full_path_to_list which gives the number of subscribers. You don't really want to learn on a live list... John P.s. [qmailtoaster] Squirrelmail - You must be logged in to access this page.
Last week I re-installed the server with CentOS 5, PHP 5.1.6, Apache 2.2.3, and the current release of Qmailtoaster (Squirrelmail 1.4.9a). After logging in to Squirrelmail, all links produce the error message, You must be logged in to access this page. Initially, I can see the list of mail in my inbox. Following any hyperlinks gives above error. I have read all the suggestions on squirrelmail.org regarding cookies, php.ini settings, etc. Nothing works, and problem persists in multiple browsers. No help from squirrelmail list. Upgrading manually to SM 1.4.10a solves the problem, but my mailboxes get duplicated and slighly mangled (which I think I can fix), and also the % of xMB in the left frame at the top is missing. I assume that's Qmailtoaster specific. Any suggestions on how to fix the original error under SM 1.4.9a, or help on how to get the % of xMB put back after upgrade would be appreciated. Re: [qmailtoaster] large volume mail restrictions
Don't know if this is your situation without more info, but if your client is managing the list via their email client and sending via their ISP like ATT/SBC, then I'd tell them to talk to their ISP first, or use webmail on your server instead. Some ISP's have rules about how many emails you can send through their network in an hour, or the max size of an email. And don't forget to remind your client to use Bcc: if appropriate--and it sounds like it is given the large volume they are sending. John PakOgah wrote: I think it was the environment CHKUSER_RCPTLIMIT on /etc/tcprules.d/tcp.smtp by default is 50, you can increase it but dont forget to change value for CHKUSER_WRONGRCPTLIMIT the more recipient they sent the more possible wrong email address hope it help, cmiiw Good day, I was wondering, does the toaster have any sort of defaults or anti-spam measures that prevent a client from sending a large volume email (meaning recipients)? [qmailtoaster] ctyme.com criticizes qmail
I found this on wiki.ctyme.com: Qmail is a popular MTA (Mail Transfer Agent) but it has a serious flaw where is doesn't obey the rules when it comes to retrying other servers when it receives a temporary error. Domains advertise multiple MX records with priority numbers. The higher the number the lower the priority (go figure). So mail servers are supposed to try the lowest MX record first, then if that fails try the higher numbered MX servers. Qmail is written so that if the lowest MX record returns a temporary error then it refuses to try any of the other MX records and will continue to talk to the same server till it times out and reject the email. There is a patch available to fix this by the author of Qmail refuses to include it in the distributed product. If you must use Qmail we encourage you to use this patch. If you are selecting a MTA, Exim is far better. The problem this creates is that suspicious hosts are deferred on our lowest MX but accepted on the second MX. So huge amounts of spam are turned away while good email is only temporarily rejected but will be accepted if the retry on the second level that has different rules. Qmail doesn't return and therefore isn't compatible with this system. - Is it just me, or is there something wrong with this logic? When they say mail servers are supposed to try the lowest MX record first, then if that fails try the higher numbered MX servers, do they mean server down so try the next one, or do they mean the email didn't pass the mail filters on the priority mail server so try the next one? If that's the case, why would you implement one set of rules on one server and a different set of rules on the backup server (besides resource limitations, which would say a lot about this hosting company)? Is anybody familiar with this patch or why one would apply it? -John B - QmailToaster hosted by: VR Hosted http://www.vr.org - To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

[qmailtoaster] ezmlm list hacked?
Hello, I thought I'd share a recent experience in case someone else had the same problem: I manage an ezmlm list for a client and a few months ago I discovered the subscriber list was gone/deleted/hacked. This is a very low volume newsletter or I would have noticed earlier. No evidence of server being hacked, and I did not delete all of my subscribers accidentally. There is another moderator of the list, who doesn't have ssh access. Remote administration of the list was enabled. As too much time had passed, I wasn't able to retrieve the subscribers from backup, so I rebuilt it from the log with the script which follows. It's not rocket science, but mabye someone else could use it. Now I backup my list and report the subscriber count each night with a cron job. Anybody else had a subscriber list mysteriously wiped? Re: [qmailtoaster] Spam assassin not showing in headers.
this is the main machine config files.. I don't know where to set it up for the specific domain... I assume that this is controlling all mail coming through the box.. Was this sent from a domain on the same machine as the recipient address? The score of 20 in the simcontrol file is the number at which the email will be deleted without being delivered to the user.
[qmailtoaster] Simscan doesn't seem to be working
I have noticed that the spamd service is not running, also I don't see anything in the maillog about simscan scanning the mail. also I don't see anything in the mail headers that shows that it was scanned is there something wrong.. also I don't see the spamd folder in the supervise directory doesn't it need to be there. - QmailToaster hosted by: VR Hosted http://www.vr.org - To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Re: [qmailtoaster] Simscan doesn't seem to be working
Thanks for the reply, I am running the newest version of qmailtoaster on a Fedora Core 6 box, and I didn't see any kind of errors when I did the install. I used the information from the qmailtoaster website to complete the installation. the only thing I didn't do in the installation is I didn't setup the djbdns and I didn't add any domain keys. and when I do a qmailctl stat it doesn't show spamd in there. so I am assuming I need to re set that up. Yes it does. I'm assuming this was a new installation. We'll need some more info, like OS, version, what steps you followed for installation, etc. Usually what happens there is you failed some dependencies for spamassassin so it was not installed. - QmailToaster hosted by: VR Hosted http://www.vr.org - To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Re: [qmailtoaster] Turn off Domainkeys?
Yes, but what about the Domainkeys variables in tcp.smtp, DKSIGN and DKVERIFY? Remove those as well or leave them alone? -John Bilgehan POYRAZ wrote: Hi, This fallow this way to disable domain-keys cd /var/qmail/bin ln -sf qmail-queue.orig qmail-queue And then restart qmail: qmailctl restart Bilgehan POYRAZ APTEC TURKEY CA Technical Support -Original Message- From: Carlos Melo [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Friday, April 13, 2007 5:15 PM To: Lista TOASTER Subject: [qmailtoaster] Turn off Domainkeys? [qmailtoaster] how to reinstall Spamassassin by hand
I am trying to avoid reinstalling all Toaster packages and would just like to reinstall Spamassassin. I want to do this because my Spamassassin memory footprint exploded after I upgraded SA using qtp-newmodel, leaving me next to no free RAM. Can I simply rpm -e --nodeps, then rpmbuild --rebuild, then rpm -Uvh?
