Damian, So which one went off first, what was the time difference between the first one going 'off' and the second? What strength is your colloidal silver? Do you expect CS to continue working even after it has been used up in killing bacteria? Your experiments to date have been doomed to fail your expectations, and say nothing about the effectiveness of CS. You may have to rely on the published experiments of independent laboratories, conducted by people who know what they are doing. When I add H2O2 to my HVAC ARC CS that has no T.E., instantaneously there is formed a strong T.E. which says that agglomeration has set in in a big way. I hope this helps your understanding. Ole Bob Bob, What was instantly formed was probably minute bubbles of gas as the H2O2 oxidised those elemental particles found in the sample. These should eventually clear to leave a solution with less TE than before. I have travelled this road, and it was only after magnification that I found this out. RE: CSCS and Argyria
Well Nina, In order to make 'a well-reasoned rebuttal' one would need to read the referenced articles in full, and find that the authors were mistaken in their conclusions. I imagine that the only thing they would be mistaken in, is in naming the solutions involved as Colloidal Silver. However, there ought to have been tests for selenium deficiency or overdose and vit E deficiency. Liver and kidney function should also have been tested to ensure they lie within the normal range. One presumes that tissue biopsies were done to establish the quantative presence and species of silver found therein. Re: CSWent wrong
There are many unknown elements in milk. How will the fat interact with the CS, how will the proteins interact with the CS and so forth. It is quite possible that these elements of milk inactivate the CS or make it aggregate over a period of a day or two. Even when taken internally, it only lasts in the body for 8 or so hours. Plus the nutrient level is extremely high, making replication rates of bacteria high at room temperature. In all cases if the repliction rate exceeds the kill rate then CS will lose the war. I suspect the silver particles may be getting bound up in the fat particles, but that is just a hunch. I have read that dropping a silver dollar (a pure or 90% silver one) in milk will make it last longer, but have never tried it. CSReams info, course, etc.
Hi, I received an avalanche of emails interested in Carey Reams testing method. One group of emails were from folks who are interested in being tested. The second group of emails were from folks who were interested in learning how to perform the testing. Some of the emails werent clear as to which of those two options they were interested in. I think there were even a few folks who simply wanted to know more about Reams and what he did. I decided to compose a letter that addressed all of these options, so I wouldnt have to write and send 15-20+ different emails! Anyone who wants to get more info or ask questions, etc., should contact me off-list, or post to: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/silver-off-topic-list The following is the content of my Metabolic Bioanalysis brochure: INTRODUCTION: Metabolic Bioanalysis is the system of performing urine/saliva testing using specific laboratory equipment for the purpose of determining biochemical imbalances in the human body. The concept is that, if the human body is kept in balance and given the nutrients it needs, it will produce and maintain good health. There are five tests conducted that indicate where attention needs to be paid to one's diet and lifestyle in order to achieve metabolic balance. These tests include: 1. pH (Acid/alkaline) levels. This test indicates which type of calcium (alkalinizing, acidifying or neutral) is most needed in the subject's body to ensure sound bone and teeth structure and development. It also indicates the level of mineral reserve in the body, the speed and efficiency of the digestion, how well the body is assimilating nutrients, blood insulin efficiency and other important facets of human metabolism. 2. Total blood sugars. This test determines the total blood sugars level, not just glucose. This can be important for people with a tendency towards diabetes or hypoglycemia (low blood sugar), as well as other factors such as energy level, mental alertness, etc. 3. Total electrolytes level. Electrolytes conduct electricity within the body. This test gives insight into energy levels, pressure on the heart and other organs, water requirements, etc. 4. Total Ureas. Ureas are by-products of protein metabolism, and this test establishes how much protein should be included in the subject's diet, how well they are digesting protein, what kind of protein that client should be consuming, the effect on the heart and other indicators. 5. Albumin (cell debris). This test indicates how fast the client is aging, cell structure integrity, and affects the readings of the other tests. With the results of these tests, I am able to recommend a specific type of diet and supplement program which is individualized to the client's particular metabolic needs, and designed to encourage the body to balance it's chemistry and optimize it's capacity to heal itself. Normally, balance can be improved using natural healthy foods, self-administered natural therapies and the specific supplements indicated by the tests. I do not diagnose diseases nor prescribe cures for them. HISTORY: Metabolic Bioanalysis was first developed in the early 1930's by the late biophysicist/biochemist Dr. Carey Reams. Early in his career, Reams had earned a reputation for his work in the field of agriculture and animal husbandry. Dr. Reams would test and analyze a farmer's soil, and when the farmer would follow Reams' recommendations for treating and restoring the soil to optimum productivity, the farmer would frequently experience up to a five-fold increase in crop production. Dairy cows fed with grain that was grown on this improved soil were known to produce 3-5 times more milk than ordinary dairy cows, and the milk was noticeably sweeter and creamier. In the late 1930's, Dr. Reams had a neighbor who had a little boy, 3 1/2, whom the doctors said was having epileptic seizures. The doctors had told the boy's father that his son would not live beyond the age of 5, that one day he would go into a seizure he would not recover from. At this time the boy was having 8 seizures per day, and medicine had no effect. Dr. Reams took the principles of biochemistry that he had developed in the field of animal husbandry and applied them to human biochemistry. Dr. Reams (not a medical doctor, but a biochemist/biophysicist) took samples from the boy's body of everything it was possible to get a sample of and discovered that all the test results were duplicated in urine and saliva. (Reams believed he was the first person to ever do hair analysis). He made suggestions to the father of diet changes and supplements. After one month, the boy was down to one or two seizures per day, and after three months, all seizures had stopped. By 1968, Reams was traveling 150,000 miles per year as an agricultural consultant. After he retired as an agricultural consultant, a 20-year old girl with Hodgkin's disease

This is commonly observed as a complication in Nappy Rash and sensitive skin Using a more acidic soap with a ph 5.5 for cleansing purposes usually leads to an uneventful recovery.Anecdotally, the ph of the swimming pool water is suspect : the pool water could be highly alkaline considering the severity of the skin reaction. Isn't there some sort of formula for figuring out what PPM I'm making? I'm now using a 10 cup glass coffee pot and brewing, with 3 9/Vs, for two hours. It's clear and it tastes like CS, but I'd like to find out how to calulate PPM's before I go on to a two gallon fish tank. And how long would that amount take, do you think? CSinjecting CS in cat
A bit of an update on injecting CS into a kitten: I had reason to attempt another CS injection into a 14 week old kitten. I have done this before, the injections being very painful for the animals. This time I used 7cc saline for injection along with 5cc of CS at 20ppm. The process went nearly painless, only the pain of the initial prick of the needle. Would appear that a buffer, such as the saline for injection does the trick in making the procedure more tolerable. Connie -- The silver-list is a moderated forum for discussion of colloidal silver. Re: CS Giardia Explanation
Giardia Family: Hexamitidae This protozoan is regarded as the most common flagellate in the human digestive tract and is highly contagious. Giardia lamblia species complex. Human form - G. instestinalis Structure: The protozoan has a characteristic tear-drop shape and measures 10-15 µm in length. It has twin nuclei, an adhesive disk which is a rigid structure reinforced by supelicular microtubules. There are two median bodies of unknown function, but their shape is important for differentiating between species. There are 4 pairs of flagella, one anterior pair, two posterior pairs and a caudal pair. These organisms have no mitochondria, endoplasmic reticulum , golgi, or lysosomes. Location: These parasites are located in the duodenum, jejunum and upper ileum. They swim free and rapidly in a spiral motion in the intestinal lumen but also attach, via their adhesive disc, to the intestinal epithelium. Reproduction: These protozoa reproduce by binary fission and attachment to a surface is required for this to occur. Feeding and Metabolism: The main food source, glucose is obtained by a process of diffusion or by pinocytosis. Like amoebae, they are aerotolerant anaerobes and require a reducing environment. Food reserves are stored in the form of glycogen. Glucose catabolism via the glycolytic pathway results in production of the end products ethanol, acetate and carbon dioxide. Life Cycle: Giardia have a simple direct life cycle. Cyst are taken in orally, usually via contaminated drinking water. The trophozoites excyst in the small intestine and may divide by binary fission. Trophozoites which are free in the lumen of the intestine can encyst and pass out with the faeces. The disease in Canada gained some notoriety a few years ago when there was and outbreak of Giardiasis in Banff National Park and the symptoms of the disease became known as Beaver Fever, so named because the untreated drinking water fed by mountain streams was thought to be contaminated by beavers infected with a human strain of Giardia. Thus Giardia is a good example of a zoonosis. Pathology: Patients harbouring this protozoan can be asymptomatic carriers or exhibit all or some of the following symptoms: diarrhea, dehydration, abdominal pain and weight loss. There is no blood loss associated with the diarrhea, however, the stool characteristically has a fatty consistency as a result of fat malabsorption. This occurs in heavy infections where attached trophozoites can cover much of the intestinal epithelial surface. This disease is not generally fatal. Pathogenicity. Although it has been frequently suspected that symptomatic and asymptomatic cases of giardiasis may be associated with strains of variable virulence, recent studies on the in vitro pathogenicity of Giardia stains isolated from symptomatic and asymptomatic patients failed to demonstrate any differences in the isolates Ref. Diagnosis. The appearance of the characteristic Giardia cysts in the stool still remains the principle method of diagnosis. More recently the detection of salivary IgA antibodies to Giardia, has been shown to have a good correlation with the presence of cysts in the stools of children, and would appear to be much more sensitive than faecal examination. Ref Treatment. The drug of choice for the treatment of giardiasis remains Metronidazole (Flagyl), but quinacrin hydrochloride and furazolidone are also frequently used. However, drug resistance has been observed with each of these compounds. In addition, toxicity has restricted their use in women of child-bearing age and although less effective, furazolidone has been used preferentially for children as it is can be administered as a suspension. Nevertheless, this compound has been recognised by the Food and Drug Administration in the U.S. as both a mutagen and carcinogen and can no longer be used there. Although some of the benzimidazole drugs, specifically albendazole, are regarded as being a promising alternative treatment, recent clinical trials have demonstrated varying cure rates, from as low as 10% to between 62 to 95 %. It is thought that these drugs work by disrupting tubulin formation. More recently a peptide antibiotic, bacitracin, stabilized with zinc, has been shown to have a high efficacy against Giardia infections. In recent clinical studies all patients responded well to this treatment with final cure rates of over 94%. Side effects from this treatment were few. RE: CSDr. Jon and the Generic Coop
Thanks Nina, Can't say that I am surprised, I did try and expose his misinformation to the list some time ago, hope nobody here gets burned! If you review his progress over the years, a recipe for creating a money making machine will be revealed, and I must say that he was very patient in its implementation. I first joined a list (to gain information on building an ozone generator) that he hosted about two years ago. After it was found to be simply a uv lamp in a box with a fan and not a serious instrument at all, members took the list in directions out of his control, whereupon he removed the ability of members to post, and turned it into a newsletter. This something he vehemently denies and accused me of lying when this matter came up in the course of an exchange of emails with him on this list I believe. His web site was a good source of information, none of which originated with him (but this was never acknowledged) and urged people to join his newsletter. With promises of $10,000 prizes and so on, his newsletter grew in circulation. It was not long before he launched a trial run using the 'miracle cure' Sam's Formula as the vehicle, and this eventually led to the formation of the generic coop. He probably would have got away with it, if only he had kept his mouth shut, and not tried to claim for himself protocols and items that some people knew quite a lot about, and had been straight and honest in his dealings. It seems very ironic to me that this empire will come crashing down around 'Dr Jon' because of his seemingly dubious and fraudulent behaviour. The web site and newsletter had value for those who read them, and If the same had been built by an honest and open person, then there is no reason why the generic coop could not have be a resounding and ongoing success and generate a tidy income for its owner. The cs i make uses 3 9v with a bubbler for around 3 hours. It is clear on finish. It tastes very metalic. The milk was kept at room temperature. Yes i could leave the testing up to independent laboratories, but as people are aware every one has a stake somewhere in the result and figures are easily changed to suit. I mean is the glass half empty or full. I think what im trying to get at rather than anything is that all this information has been written about how amazing cs is and how many things it can cure and kill, when an even balance of light hasnt been shone on what it cant do and what not to expect from it. That really was the whole point of the experiment and my posting. When something almost becomes like a religion it maybe necessary to step and rethink the whole. There will be no negative consequences with ingesting this other than the release of CO2 gas when the AgCO3 meets the HCl in the stomach the reaction products most likely being AgCl + H2O and CO2. So probably one might have just as well have made their brew using NaCl. The initial conductivity of the water determines the current flow and rate of production. Ultra pure water---below about 1 PPM TDS will not produce much silver with some systems. A small amount sodium hydrogen carbonate solution is added to improve the conductivity. This similar to the natural rock minerals found in water. The baking soda per-se, if any remains in the finished silver, will have insignificant effect on human physiology. Perhaps a chemist can tell us the reaction of the carbonate with the silver, if any. I would like to see the predicted behavior of the entire system, and the associated physiology of the reactants. Nina, Ivan, Marshall, Bob Lee or others...? I know nothing of the quality of design, components, and workmanship of his units, so I can not comment on whether they are inferior or substandard. But, from reading his website I can understand people having a problem with his advocating the addition of baking soda in the distilled water. The impression I get from reading the two CS forums is that the more well-informed view is that nothing should ever be used in the production of CS other than high quality DW and pure silver. Personally, I would never recommend anyone buy a CS generator that is designed and calibrated for use with a conductive contaminant. I don't know if Dr. Marx's units will work without baking soda, but the simple fact that he advocates the use of it would be enough for me to steer a potential buyer to a different unit. -- John A. Gee, everyone around me is sick and ailing with something or the other. I suspect your testing methods may not be fully compatible with your CS. Very soon I plan to test some water organisms with my CS. I have a nice new microscope with a digital camera built in, but have been too busy to do much experimenting. Can anyone suggest a test for me to do with some bacteria and the microscope? I have up to 1000 power. Most of what I have done so far is to study blood cells at 400 and 1000 power. When and if I can do anything worthwhile with this toy, I can post pictures on my website for anyone to see that is interesting. So far, I have seen a lot of deformed blood cells and a few healthy ones. Wayne -- The silver-list is a moderated forum for discussion of colloidal silver. RE: CSRe Dr. Jon and the Generic Coop
I don't think anybody is suggesting that the supplements supplied are anything other than specified... although the independent analysis promised has not been forthcoming. What is suggested is summed up by the final paragraph on the linked sites: Many of us are deeply saddened by this revelation. The premise of the Generic Co-op was to provide low-cost, high quality, laboratory tested, vitamins and supplements, (with an affiliate program) for the public. The affiliates were to receive a small referral fee which, while not making us rich, may have brought us a small monthly income. We wish that things had worked out differently. We are left with a deep feeling of betrayal by the apparent deception of Stewart Fason (a.k.a. Dr. Jon Brooks M.D.). He portrayed his business venture as helping humanity. In reality, he is just another entrepreneur preying on unsuspecting people. Hiding behind aliases, weaving alternative medical information with a philanthropic spin, to make a profit!
